this is the ticket! No noise, three height settings, easy to switch on and off with your feet. Warm and cosy foot pocket things. It's a raised footrest/heater/warm booties thing. I hate being cold at work and this is just what I needed.

My feet get cold easily, especially when I sit on the first level of a bi-level house. I was using microwaveable warm footies, but it was too much hassle. This product does not use much electricity-only 38W. There are High and Low heat settings. My feet are warm at the Low setting. Compared to a similar product that is three times as expensive and uses 100W, this product is a good buy. With Holmes Foot Buddy, I can read War and Peace comfortably on any winter day. Now if only I can get a Kindle...

Previously had a large "boot"-type footwarmer that heated and had slight vibration function. When it eventually died, went looking for a good under-computer desk replacement. This is a bit flimsy, heats the bottom of our feet very well, but we miss the ankle coverage. The off/on is pretty easy to read, a little to easy to hit inadvertently. Since I can't find a way to replace what we had, this is Ok for now.
