I installed this in a case as a preventative action. I've used the moisture absorbing chemical and it seemed to work fine... the bag would fill up with water. However, this became inconvenient for my application and expensive.

After installing the GoldenRod, it seems to be working fine. It warms the air slightly and the humidity does seem to be lower.

Does just what I needed it to do.

Was having issues with moisture in a locker in the garage so put this in and moisture gone. Would buy another.

Great product Very happy with this product. The 18 inch rod works very well in my gun safe. I do not have worry about changing any chemicals.

i purchased this product after reading the reviews. it is as advertised, warm to touch. made me leary of laying it on the floor of my safe. so far a month later no fire. safe is 36 gun safari from menards. temp stays 65 degrees with humidity around 25%. my finished basement is dry and i live in michigan. hope this helps. only time will tell if it helps keep guns from rusting.
