We moved to Adelaide from Uk in 2011 and froze in rental due to poor insulation and no double glazing. Brought this Heater in Summer 2012 for 2013 winter and now loving it. Its heats living room a treat. Holding a constant heat of around 25 degrees on medium> 9Kg (20IB) bottle lasts around 7 nights. Highly recommend and way cheaper than Heaters available in Australia. I was skeptical if it would work based upon the size. But do not let the size fool you. We use it while camping to take the chill out.It works even better with the fan on. I purchased the Mr Heater hose which allows a direct hookup to a 20lb bottle without a filter.

We purchased this item during the aftermath of the Hurricane It does work fairly well but there is a definite odor of propane if used on medium or high setting. Propane consumption: I ran the heater on medium for approximately on day it used a 20 pound tank of propane It did make our family room comfy on only the medium setting that is about 200 sf. We did not need to crank it up to high setting. It was a real pleasure after enduring 50 degree temp.
