Heating the cups makes a world of difference! It isn't a necessity but as one reviewer stated, it completes the experience. Programmable turn on and off assures the cups are warm before you make your first cup of coffee. The finish matches Jura's other products and looks nice next to the coffee machine. I have three regular mugs in each drawer and this has freed up space in the cabinets. I only wish I had gotten this sooner.

this cup warmer is a perfect companion to any coffee machine. warm cups make a big difference in the taste of coffee. the machine has a timer. you can have the cups warm in the morning when you ready to make your morning joe. it can also be programmed to turn off at the set time.
