My husband and I purchased two of these heaters at the start of the fall season. We live in a pretty big farm house so all the gusty cold wind just whips right over us from the fields. We also have oil heat and have spent nearly $2,000 a year in oil! We got these to help keep our oil use down and they work great! We had almost a full tank of oil delivered in October and now we're just at a little under 3/4 tank because of these heaters. We set our thermostat at 65-68 and use these as our main source of heat when possible. Nice even heat, doesn't dry the air out and doesn't "pocket" heat either. I was a little worried about our electric bill but it hasn't really changed much...maybe 20 bucks a month. Even if it was $100 dollars more it STILL wouldn't come close to what we usually pay for oil so I was pretty happy with 20 bucks:)

I came back on here so I could update our review. I still stand by everything I said previously except this year, after owning these for less then one year, both heaters seem to have lost their heat. They still get warm and blow out warm air but it's not nearly as warm as it should be or as warm as it was last year when we first purchased them. We also have an Eden Pure that my husband had when I first met him....over 4 years ago and that thing still runs great. When we decided to purchase the Black and Decker version it was because the Eden Pures were wayyyy expensive compared to these. Black and Decker is a good name so we thought it would be a good purchase. For the price I guess it's not too bad but if I have to purchase a new one each year then I'll just go with the Eden Pure that I know runs at least 4 years. My husband seems to think the bulbs just need replaced. I'm going to try to locate a place that repairs them but at this point I have no idea what that will cost me. If it's more then 100 bucks I think we'll just get the Eden Pure, which we should have done in the first place. I'm pretty disappointed that I was only able to use these properly for one season.

I am not impressed, the fan/blower inside of the box moves very little air, so while the box gets very hot (which is nice), unless you are holding your hands or feed literally right next to the front of it, you cannot benefit from the heat.
