Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This heater is quite small compared to my other area heaters. It measures roughly 12 x 12 x 10 so it's rather tiny. That's a good thing because it gives you a lot more flexibility on where you can use or store it. Its size might make you assume that it won't put out much heat but that would be an incorrect assumption. I have two other area heaters that work really well but they are about 2 to 3 times as large as this heater. Both of my other heaters are louder than this one as well. This heater is very quiet for the most part. The only annoying part is the sudden clicking noise when the thermostat turns it on automatically. It tends to scare my dogs a little bit but other than that it's no big deal. You can choose from either the black or white finish. I have the white finish and the outside is painted metal that is strong. It reminds me of the outside of a washer or dryer. It should be very durable and last a very long time. The blade guard is designed so little kids can't get their fingers far enough inside the fan to hurt themselves. The exterior of the fan is designed not to get too hot so kids won't get burnt on it. It's a heater so it's going to get warm but not hot enough to do any real damage. It has a heavy duty power cord that is about 5 feet long. On the top of the unit there is a small LCD screen and buttons to turn it on or off, adjust the temperature or control the speed. It has high, low and fan only modes. Around the LCD screen there is chrome trim that looks nice. There are many uses for this heater. You can use it to heat one room or one level of your house. I have used it while working out in the garage and it even put out enough heat to warm my garage up very quickly. It might also be good in an office setting. In the instructions it says only to use it on the floor but I really don't see any reason why you couldn't have it on a shelf as long as it was sturdy. This fan has two different safety mechanisms built-in. First of all if a curtain, blanket or any other items where accidentally block its airflow then it will automatically shut off. If this heater were to accidentally be knocked over then this heater is supposed to shut off as well. These are important features to have if you have children or pets that might knock it over. It has a timer so you can turn it on and have it automatically shut off in 1 hour increments between 1 and 9 hours. One of the best options of this heater is the vortex technology that circulates the air / heat so much better than the average heater or fan. I really agree that this little heater can effectively heat my entire downstairs. It distributes the heat much better so it's not roasting hot by the heater and freezing in the rest of the house. I would highly recommend this heater to anyone but I will say that the price is a little on the steep side. You will however receive a 5 year warranty this a lot better than the average 1 year warranty that most products come with. There is certainly a lot of value in an extra 4 years on the warranty. You will have to decide for yourself but over I think this heater is great and a little on the pricey side but the extra warranty helps me justify the price. You may think that the warranty isn't a big deal but what if the heater decides to stop working after 18 months. I like having the peace of mind knowing it will at least last me 5 years or they will replace / repair it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have owned several models of Vornado heaters including the grey color of this model. This model is white and trimmed in chrome. It comes without a remote but the other color of this same model does come with one. I have one encounter their their customer service several years ago and it was outstandingly perfect. This heater is reasonably quiet and heats my room very evenly. As I own the other model of this heater I did find that the remote sensor is still built in this model. I am sure one can buy the remote as an accessory if one decides that it is needed. Some folks just set it and never use the remote. It is just a personal choice. In some ways this model is a real beauty in its white and chrome trim. Highly recommended.
It is built like a premium product it is!
Honest reviews on Vornado TVH500 Whole Room Vortex Heater
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I really wanted to like this. I could really use a good heater for my house, since heating costs so much in the North. But, this was a mixed bag.First, it does blow warm air, which is nice. But only directly in front of it. If you are off to the side outside of a 30 degree or so cone, you don't get moving air that is warm. You get moving air that is COLD. I mean, c'mon people! It's winter time! Why would I want a fan?!?
Second, the thermostat is weird. I set it for 72 and put it on high. The room temperature was 57. Within a few minutes, it told me that the room temperature was 61. I thought, "Pretty good!". Then, the air coming out got noticeably colder. Eventually, it got chilly. It would go on to become warm again, then cold again. And I was left wondering what was going on.
On the up side, it is relatively quiet. That said, I'd prefer a heater with a very quiet fan that blows less air, and that doesn't make me cold if I am not the lucky person who won the coin flip and got to sit directly in front of it.
