I have had many kinds of 12v mugs. Most have been poor quality and inexpensive. I decided to buy what looked like a new design and was 3-4 times more expensive than any I had previously purchased. I WAS WRONG!!! The design was new but the effectiveness of the product was sadly lacking. To the touch it felt warm on the inside. but it did not have the capability of keeping even very warm coffee warm. I had tried it for even 2 hours and the contents going in warm came out practically cold. I bought two cups--so it was not just one defective cup. I returned them to Amazon! :(

I saw this RoadPro mug in a Pilot Truck Stop so figured if truckers buy it it must work. Wrong. My coffee woluld stay warmer sitting in the sun. USB 5v doesn't do a thing. The 12v from the car not much better. I had a $6 12v mug from Walmart that kept the coffee hot but it only lasted 6 months and was only a christms item. I'll wait.

Heating is very weak, but it does heat (sort of). Mine had a leak in the bottom when I received it, which I repaired, assuming it was a fluke and not just poorly made. I am not terribly impressed with this mug, but it does keep hot drinks from getting completely cold. It doesn't do much more than that.

The coffee is very hot for a long time and the USB is very convenient to use. My problem with the cup is that it drips when you drink from it. The lid is on tight and the coffee is not higher than the bottom of the lid. I wanted to email you about this problem but maybe this is enough to get a response.

Overall the cup functions well as a cup. Don't expect much beyond that. Heating element draws too much power causing USB ports on PC's to report a 'over current' situation on a USB port and then deactivates that port. Also blows fuses in the car. You get what you pay for.
