This not the cheapest, but not the most expensive electric 12 volt heater. I use it to heat a mid size sedan, with no heater. It does not do much in the cigarette lighter socket, but if you use some 14 or 12 gauge wire to directly connect it to the battery you get a lot more. Not like a house hold 1500 watt ceramic heater, but it will get noticeably warmer in a short time. Remember electric heat is instant, no waiting for your engine to warm up. It draws about 25 amps in 300 watt mode. You can always spend more and go for the 1100 watt heater but for where I live there will not be enough cold weather to justify that kind of money.

Check to make sure your car's alternator can produce enough amps to power the heater

Don't bother with this thing. It doesn't heat at all.

A total waste of money.

bought the item hoping it would help me keep warm while my diesel pickup was warming up.have to cut the cigarette attachment off to connect to my battery because the manual says it will work better.well once you cut it off you cant return it.blows barely any heat and was a waste of money.

Honest reviews on Max Burton 12 Volt 150/300W Ceramic Heater And Fan

I am not terribly happy with this fan/heater. I have solar panels, batteries and controller and the heater only works on low without blowing a fuse. I am sure it would be fine in a truck or auto, but I don't own a vehicle.

Bought this for some heat in my Mule side-by-side ATV that has a full enclosure. All it did was blow air and no heat. Don't bother buying this 12-volt heater.
