Review of MSZ-GE15NA
We purchased a ductless heat pump (Mitsubishi MSZ-D30NA) two years ago. It's cut our winter electric bill in half. We had no air conditioning before we installed this unit so our summer electric bills are a little higher depending on how hot our summers are here in the Northwest. This unit has performed flawlessly with no maintenance except for vacuuming the filters. It's so quite that we barely hear the inside unit and the outside unit is also very quite. It also has a very handy remote control. We have a 2000 sq ft one level home and this unit, with just one evaporator mounted in the family room, heats and cools the entire home except for the master bath. It's amazing the amount of heat that it puts out even in the cold winter. This unit is bigger than was recomended by the contractor. My thought was to have a higher output unit that would not have to work as hard. I could of had a smaller less expensive unit. The inside mounted evaporator is fairly large hanging on the wall near the ceiling but after a while we don't even notice it. When visitors come over they don't even notice it unless we point it out. With this 30,600 btu unit you could run 3 or 4 more inside units, say to upstairs bedrooms. This is a much less expensive way to have heat and air conditioning installed in an exesisting home that doesn't have duct work. Some public unilities offer rebates for ductless pumps.
