Good: The water did initially have a plastic taste but a few mL of bleach and a couple of run throughs eliminated the plastic taste

Bad; The dispenser is too small and the flow rate is poor

Ugly: Our unit has a mind of its own. It leaks about once a month resulting in water puddles on the floor. This unit is awful!

A GREAT BUY FOR THE PRICE!! IT WAS SHORT THOUGH. WE JUST SET IT UP A LITTLE STURDY TABLE IN OUR KITCHEN. I DO WISH THERE WAS MORE ROOM FROM THE TAP PART TO THE DRAIN PART AND WISH THE WATER DISPENSED A LITTLE MORE QUICKLY. BUT HAVING SAID THAT IT WAS A GREAT ITEM FOR THE PRICE!! NO MORE CARING GALLON JUGS TO WALMART FOR WATER NOW!! JUST TAKE A 5 GALLON JUG WHEN WE NEED IT..SO MUCH EASIER. ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR A DISABLED PERSON IF THEY NEED SOMETHING WHERE THEY HAVE TO USE GOOD WATER. WE LIVE IN THE COUNTRY AND EVEN WITH A WATER SOFTENER OUR WATER IS TERRIBLE. SO THIS IS PERFECT!!

This water cooler is very reasonably priced and a worthwhile investment for my office. It took about a week for the initial "smokey" taste to wear off but now the water tastes great. The cold is very cold and the hot is very hot. I was pleased to find a safety feature on the hot water handle.

The dispenser is smaller and shorter than it appears in photo. That's why it's so cheap. We bought one and returned it the same day when we got it due to an electric shock and malfunctioning. Pay more to get a better one if you plan to use it for more than a few years.

Fire hazard. Unit malfunctioned in some way over the weekend and THANK GOD I returned to work today before it burst in to flame. The top 1/3 of the unit was scalding hot to the touch. The plastic water bottle on top was starting to mis-shape. And when I ran outside with it, after removing the bottle from the top, and drained the reservoir, the water was scalding hot.

Frankly, I'm annoyed as heck that I have to pay to box/ship this back to Amazon for a refund. *grumble*
