This timer seems to have solved our problem with our refrigerator not defrosting. What a hassle. We defrosted our frig on our own several times before my hubby bought this timer. We had a guy come to fix it about one year ago exactly and the old timer lasted about one year exactly! I didn't want to pay the repair man another $250 for defrosting my frig again, so we got the timer and took care of it ourselves. All is good and this is a few months after purchase and my hubby installing the timer himself. My hubby is a handyman, so I trust him to do these things. Be sure to unplug frig whenever you do ANYTHING to it! My hubby is super respectful of electricity and we hope others will be too! Don't think it will be "okay" to leave it plugged in. Pro's: It works and is still working after several months. The previous Sears one lasted only one year. Sadly it costed me four times as much as this one and took over a week to get in.This is a perfect match, just plug it in and it is works.
The Vendor was very prompt and the price was excellent. Highly recommend them.
