This item did not work for our home's X10 application. We previously had a repeater/coupler on our dryer and all the X10 signals would go across the two legs of our home. We changed our dryer to a 4 prong and the old repeater/coupler could not be used anymore. We purchased this phase coupler for our range and it would not repeat the X10 signals across the two phases in our home. We ended up returning this unit and purchasing a 4 prong repeater/coupler again for our dryer. Now, our X10 signals are reliable again across the home. I bought this so the two phases would be coupled in order to use my X10 controlling system. It functioned for 2 days then stopped working, without explanation. This thing works great. Before installing, some of my X10 modules didn't work on certain circuits in my house. When leaving on long trips I had to run extension cords to some lamps in different rooms so as to give the house a lived in look. Now all those problems are gone, and what an easy install.
