I bought this product a year and half ago. The product worked good until I needed to get a new wick and lower roller due to roller breakeage. And then the problem started. Called Envion customer service and ordered the two items. When received, the wick was almost an inch wider then the old one, to the point that it rubbed the sides of the unit. The rollers arived as two upper rolers and not one upper and one lower. Called back talked to a supervisor who promissed to send the corrected items. Today the new wick arrived. It is the same larger size as before The rollers still has not arrived. This is going on two months and I still can't usr the unit.
Envion customer service is very poor.

We bought this for our nursery b/c it is difficult to regulate the temp in our son's room. We kept it on low heat/humidify, but one problem is w/o an auto-shutoff, it would get so warm in the room that we would have to turn the unit on and off throughout the night to keep the temp decent. We only used it for 2-3 weeks before we returned it and bought an auto-shutoff unit and separate humidifier. Within that timeframe, our electric bill went from $50 a month to $116!!!Another issue is the heat and humidity kind of work against each other: the heating unit is on the bottom and the humidifier is on the top, so when the cool mist comes out, the heat that's rising seems to evaporate the mist b/c it never actually feels 'humid' in the room (and it's a smaller room).
For the price, I definitely would not recommend this product it would be better on your wallet to simply get an auto-shutoff unit and separate humidifier...

Died with no replacement parts available. $125 down the drain. Worked we'll until now, but it seems a bit overpriced for what it doesHonest reviews on Humidiheat Heater/Humidifier
This is our second season using the Humidiheat humidifier/heater/air washer. We researched quite a few humidifiers last winter and we're very happy we settled on this one. We use this in our bedroom and it has proven to be more than adequate. Our primary need was for a humidifier, so the fact that this is also a heater and air washer are the icing on the cake. To compare the air purifying qualities of this appliance to that of a stand-alone air purifier would be silly, but the fact that it does clean the air to some degree is impressive for what this is.The humidifier uses a wicking mechanism. The "wick" rotates vertically and the moisture it absorbs from the water container then gets blown into the air by the fan. The controls are easy to understand and you can use just the heater or just the humidifier, or both together.
The water container holds enough water for easily a 24-hour period if you run the humidifier constantly. You can simply top off the water container each day, but eventually you need to empty it and clean it because the water does get cloudy. This, I assume, is from the impurities in the air that get trapped on the wick and then deposited in the water as the wick passes through it. The wick is easy to remove for cleaning and can be washed by hand or in the washing machine. You can order extra wicks from the manufacturer.
All in all, the Humidiheat does everything it says it does and at a very fair price.
