Arrived right away. Couldn't have taken more than ten or fifteen minutes to make the exchange. I wouldn't mind a bit if other household (and automotive) devices were as easy to repair. Did any of my local home supply places have this part in stock? Um, no. Did they have the entire unit. Um, no to that as well.
This appears to be a part where cost is balanced against durability, and durability comes out on the light side. Having a source of vibration right on top of the heater coils looks like a compromise. But in the great scheme of things, it's not that expensive.

As others have written this is a newer design than the old plastic scroll heaters but it fits into the existing housing of the older Nutone models listed. The installation is straightforward you just have to get the small screw into the side hole to hold it in place.In my opinion (contrast to some other reviewers) it blows more hot air more quickly than the original part and it doesn't seem louder.
