In general, this is a decent little electric fireplace. I coupled it with a plug thermostat (Lux Win100) and it does a reasonable job of heating a small extra room, and looks okay. Despite all the claims about the realistic flames, they are (unsurprisingly) very far from realistic. So far build quality seems fine.
