This chair has positives: Good looking, solid construction, easy to assemble and reasonably priced. However, I returned the two I bought because they were uncomfortable for me to sit in because of the flat back. Adirondack chairs appear to have two designs for chair backs -The flat back like this chair and the curved back. For me, the curved back is much more comfortable, though more expensive.

I bought 2 polywood lounge chairs last year and love them. Just received 2 polywood adriondack chairs and their great too. They are well made and will look lovely on my patio. Can't wait to use them. I recommend them to anyone who doesn't have room to store. I left my lounge chairs out all winter and they look great. The cold and snow did not effect them.Best Deals for POLYWOOD Classic Folding Adirondack
After years of replacing wooden Adirondack chairs, we finally switched to synthetic fiber chairs. These chairs are made with recycled materials and are very sturdy and solid. These chairs were easy to assemble and look great. We have them on our front patio and have gotten tons of comments on how great they look. They are also very comfortable.Honest reviews on POLYWOOD Classic Folding Adirondack
We love our polywood chairs! We own two sets, one we've had for over 10 years. They have really held up to the weather. These chairs are also super, super comfortable.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for POLYWOOD Classic Folding Adirondack
A few years ago, our homeowner's association bought a number of Polywood products to go around the community pool, including four or five of these Adirondack chairs. Our goal was to find something sturdy that couldn't be carried off and would still look great six or seven years later, and we went with these, in the teak color. My first impression was that they're heavy. HEAVY. Just because they're made of plastic doesn't mean they're flimsy. The weight is on par with composite decking. All the pieces, except the ottomans, shipped unassembled. They went together easily enough with a Phillips-head screwdriver and the included Allen keys. I was able to put them all together on my own, though an extra set of hands would have made the tete-a-tete seats a lot easier. Of everything we ordered, not one was missing pieces, and the one that had a damaged slat was replaced by Polywood quickly and with no hassle.
The teak color is really pretty. It's a deep, rich brown and the color has the appearance of going all the way through the plastic. And it's remained pretty over the years, despite sitting out in the South Carolina sun for five or six months a year. I really thought it would have faded some by now, but even compared to that replaced slat that I held onto, the color doesn't seem to have lightened at all.
How's it held up to the abuses of community pool furniture? Splendidly, as far as I can tell. I really expected to have replaced at least one piece by now, but that hasn't been the case. If it's able to stand up to that, it should last for many years in your backyard. I'm very pleased with how well it's lasted. No splintering, no cracking, no collapsing, none of the usual pratfalls of outdoor furniture.
Why the four stars instead of five? I don't know how else to put it but these Adirondack chairs are just not as comfortable as they could be. The back isn't curved, and it's surprising how much of a difference that makes. That pushes your butt forward on the seat, which makes the seat not as deep, and you don't sit *in* this chair so much as you sit *on* it. You don't have that feeling of sinking into the seat that you'd otherwise expect. Maybe some cushions would help. But the truth is, you're not going to find yourself sitting in one of these for more than an hour or two. I might have knocked off more than one star for that, but for what we bought this furniture for, I'm overall very pleased with them.
