This wall mounted fire place was purchased after extensive review ,education and comparison of hundreds of like products. Through a process of elimination based on the following : fireplace appearance including the frame work,realism of the fire/firewood (not peddles or rocks like many have instead of the realistic logs), the ability to dim fire glow,remote control,variety of heat settings, the ability to heat an entire room, the capability of utilizing the fire place with or without the heat function,price and the big one NOISE FACTOR/QUIETNESS. This fireplace not only met all of these requirements but it exceeded them by far. If you think this fireplace looks good just wait until you see it hanging on your wall,it looks way better than ever expected and works even better than expected as well,not to mention the exceptionally discounted price.I have done all the research and leg work regarding this product and many others for comparison and it paid off, my teenage daughter loves it because not only does it look good it works great and is virtually silent.

this fire place is beautiful but it sounds like a hamster wheel the entire time. It makes a god aweful squeal the entire time you use it, not worth it if you can't keep it turned on. Not happy at all

This arrived very quickly. The mirror frame is very pretty. I already have 2 traditional fireplace heaters which I love. I thought this would be great to hang on the wall. The problem is, where it is to go, I have pictures and shelves fairly close to it and I discovered they are not going to be far enough away from it. I did not know this till I read the booklet. The heat vents are in the top and the description did not state that. Also, the flames are yellow and I like the traditional reddish orange. It was hard to tell from the picture because I see the orange glow but these are really yellow. The logs are not behind the glass either which I thought looked strange. Normally they are and to have them outside, in front of the glass, to me, looks really weird. I have to say I wish I had stuck with the traditional fireplace. These are probably all individual issues that might not bother other people. It is hard to buy when you cannot actually see some of the items like I have listed above which bothered me. Just wanted to mention these 3 things so if someone is trying to find out as much as they can about this fireplace, they will have that knowledge when they make their decision. Many people will not care about them but there may be some like me who will need to know these facts to help in their decision. I have started to check Amazon out now more since I have discovered they are competitive with ebay and they have a lot of the same things and their service is great.
