My kerosene heater started smoking lately and taking about 20 minutes to get to normal operating temperature, so I ordered this new wick. It arrived in a less than a week and installation was quick and easy. Good time to clean up the windows in the heater while it's apart. Make sure the three nubs on the new wick fit into the three slots correctly before you put it all back together, the wick should go up and down as you turn the knob on the heater from low to high. Once this is done put the heater back together, put in some fuel and test it out. My new wick now lights instantly and doesn't smoke anymore. It also puts out more heat than before because the old wick had shrunk and was charred around the outside edge. Every year I make several purchases of these wicks and they all work wonderful. I have the best luck with the kero-world wicks. The only problem I had was a 28032 was placed in a 28033 bag most likely in the factory, and amazon made it right.
