Vermont Castings 2461 Catalyic Cast Iron Stove Review
I purchased a dutchwest stove around two years ago maybe three. Non cat type with the optional blower. Had to upgrade because my wife is the primary user during day. The old stove required a secret handshake to operate. This dutchwest is awesome, my favorite part is how you can open the ash tray door and instantly reboot the fire. It will go all night stoked at eleven pm damped down. Seven am pile a small batch of wood on top of the ashes open the ash door boom new raging fire. I am writing this review now because I am on line looking for new gaskets for stove. Hope this helps enjoyhad one in the past in a cabin and it worked very good now using it in my shop for heat

Samsung DV210AEW 7.3 Cu. Ft. White Stackable Electric Front Load Review
We bought the Samsung DV218AEW dryer from Lowe's in March 2009. The heating element first burned out on us only 17 months after we had purchased the product, which of course was out of warranty. We contacted Samsung to locate a local repair shop who came out and replaced the heating element for $160. We have been diligent about cleaning our ducts and getting rid of lint, but the stupid heating element crapped out again tonight. We've owned the dryer less than 3 years and have now had the heating element burn out twice. A quick Google search shows that we are certainly not the only ones. Samsung dryers are terrible--DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG DRYERS!
I too am a victim of Samsung's fraud, misrepresentation and negligence and will be filing my own suit for damages. Reporting them to the new Consumer Protection Bureau and pursuing restitution utilizing the courts.
However, for those who have not yet become one of Samsung victims. Please make the right choice and choose another brand.

Given the number of complaints relating to the cracking and subsequent barrel bending; rendering the dryer useless. Perhaps, a class action law suit would be in order. Each state has its own lemon laws, but clearly Samsung is aware of these issues and continued to manufacture and sell this product.I too am a victim of Samsung's fraud, misrepresentation and negligence and will be filing my own suit for damages. After using our dryer a yr and 2 weeks I saw a hole in the back of the drum metal where it looked cracked and had ruined quite a bit of our clothing from getting caught and ripping it! I have been without a dryer for over a month now. Samsung has lost a customer BC their taking so long to send out the replacement which in fact cost just as much as I paid for the stupid thing!!! Really!? So angry right now. If you think about buying this model hope it doesn't happen to you!Honest reviews on Samsung DV210AEW 7.3 Cu. Ft. White Stackable Electric Front Load
This deserves zero stars. The heating element has gone out twice in 3 1/2 years. $320 to fix it. Total junk, don't buy it. In fact, don't buy anything by Samsung. I have had problems with several Samsung products. I won't ever buy another samsung product, ever.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Samsung DV210AEW 7.3 Cu. Ft. Slate Wall Heater with Towel Bars Reviews
This does not mount "flush" on the wall. If the product had been correctly represented in the ad, I would have put the wall outlet on a different wall. It looks good and I think will work out well, but I am totally fritzed that I have to call the electrician back in and put in another outlet so that the "back side" heater apparatus will not be as prominent. Had I known, I could have easily had the outlet put in the right wall. Now the drywall is in and the bathroom painted... Grrrrr...it looks good, but the product description is waaaaay off. Understand that there is a good 4 inches of utility chrome heating element behind the granite slab and that the heating element is vented out the top, so it cannot mount with the granite flush to the wall or you would be venting heat into the space inside your wall. Picture is totally inaccurate. The only way the picture is accurate is if they are heating the room behind the granite slab. LOL! Not likely.
It took my husband 15 minutes to install it and it looks great in our bathroom!! I agree that if people have tiny little bathrooms it might seem bulky, but in our bathroom looks spectacular. We went with the slate white, as we have dark tile and wanted to accent it. It takes only 15 minutes to warm the bathroom.
Will recommend this product to anybody!

Is it possible to love a heater? If so, I do. This little guy puts out some serious heat, distributes it well in my 15'x15' room, and does both quietly. Prior to buying this, I had purchased a radiator type heater that just didn't put out much heat so I returned it. I love that I can turn on the thermostat and let it go. Nothing more to think about. The oscillation feature is a huge perk. The only thing I'd add is a feature that automatically turns the unit off if it is knocked over. I paid fifty bucks for it at my local HD, which I did so I could easily return it if need be. No need. I'll run this thing 'til it keels over.Best Deals for Lasko 1,500-Watt Portable Electric Ceramic Tower Heater with Remote

Seems like a great product and value. However, they made the shelves too close together. It does hold the smallest bottles of wine, but many "Standard" bottles (Dancing Bull, Rancho Zabbaco, etc) don't fit unless they are jammed in and then you can't get them back out without unloading the whole thing. Don't waste your time and get a model that is more versatile. As if insult to injury, the thermostat didn't work either but that was probably a fluke.
I tried contacting Amazon, who pointed me in the direction of the manufacturer, who of course, did not bother responding.
I am very disappointed and do not recommend this product. I will never purchase from this manufacturer again.
I gave it 2 stars because it was relatively quiet and compact.

I bought this wine cooler after reading some good reviews. It was a complete waste of time and money, the wine cooler worked for about 4 hours and then this uncontrolled beeping noise would continueoulsy play. I unplugged the unit and tried resetting it but the noise was still there when I plugged it back in. I called the company and all they said was it might be the control board. How does a wine cooler die after 4 hours.Best Deals for Sunpentown WC-1271 12-Bottle Thermo-Electric Slim Wine Cooler
My boyfriend bought this wine refrigerator for me as a birthday gift on a total whim. It was a fantastic, unexpected present and has so far worked perfectly for me. I've never owned a wine cooler previous to this one, but I do live in a smaller apartment, so it's compact size is exactly what I needed. As another review stated, the shelves are kind of close together preventing the BIGGER wine bottles from fitting side-by-side, however all standard wine bottles will fit. I tend to buy the larger bottles of Barefoot Moscato, in which case I simply remove one shelf for the time being. Personally, I'm not at the point where I've collected dozens of wines and will RARELY have more than 12 bottles at one time to fill this fridge anyway. All in all, it's a fantastic product that chills wines perfectly and fits just about anywhere. :)Honest reviews on Sunpentown WC-1271 12-Bottle Thermo-Electric Slim Wine Cooler

I had this wine cooler for about 6 months before the temperature control stopped working and would not go below 68 degrees. I thought maybe the room was too warm, so I refrigerated a few bottles to see if it would at least maintain the current temperature, but within a few hours, those bottles were warm as well.I tried contacting Amazon, who pointed me in the direction of the manufacturer, who of course, did not bother responding.

I am using this fan to blow heat from the room my wood stove is located in, past the stairs to the second floor, to heat the rest of the first floor. Before installing the fan, the second floor was sweltering hot, while the remainder of the first floor was too cool, even with mild outdoor temps. With the fan in place, it is moving the heat to where it needs to be and keeping most of it from just going up the stairs. It is USA made and has a heft that suggests a good heavy duty motor. Also has a nice long cord to reach low outlets. Has two speeds, according to the box, delivering 60 cfm and 90 cfm, consumes 25 watts.
I've been looking at several door jamb fans so I can move some of the cooler air from one room to another in the summer. I have a small office off of my dining room that gets a little stuffy. I chose this fan over the Entree-Air fan because this fan has two speeds and has the same size fan (and I heard that the other one is quite noisy). I thought that this fan was the answer so much so that I bought two (which will be important later on).
Pros: compact shape
bottom mounted 2 speed switch
bottom mounted cord
mounting brackets
Cons: IT ONLY MOVES AIR AROUND THE EDGES OF THE FAN BLADES. I don't know why, but it if you put your hand directly in front of it (within a few inches or even a foot away, you feel NOTHING. This isn't rocket science if you don't feel the air, it's not there. I thought it was defective, so I plugged in the other fan I ordered same issue. This fan is supposedly rated up to 50 / 90cfm (low / high). Around the edges, the air really moves, but it's been more of a white noise maker that hangs in my doorway than anything else. For $45, I expected much much more. Plus, the color is not really white, but a cream color reminiscent of the faded plastic from some old appliance circa 1970 something.
I have found a solution though the O2 Cool Portable Fan (can be found on Amazon but I got mine at Pathmark for $7). It can be powered with two D cells or you can purchase an AC adaptor $10. Small fan HUGE amount of air and a lot cheaper than anything else. I inverted them in my doorways hung using 3M pulltab strips. The only concern I have is longevity The fan was not designed my my intended purpose, but we'll have to wait and see.

Discount Dyson AM02 tower fan

I couldn't decide between the Dyson Pedestal fan and the Tower Fan, so I went ahead and bought both to compare. Yes we kept both as well.
The Tower fan is great for the Living Room or family room for it stays more compact (slim and low profile) and spreads the air less concentrated on one area.(high and low)There is no adjustments that can be made on this fan, meaning no tilting or bringing the unit up and down. What you see it what you get.
The Pedestal fan is great for our bedroom; we have a really high bed. At the highest point of the pedestal fan it's even to where we lay. Since the Fan is more like a standard oscillating fan, the air is more concentrated to one area, so at night we through it on medium to low and let it keep us cool at night. The pedestal fan can be adjusted to the height by simply pushing it down or pulling up on the actually circle part of the fan. (The frame tube extends or compresses very handy and fast to do) Also this fan has a tilt. (The circle head part can be aimed where you want it) This fan is a little bulkier needs more room then the tower fan. (Due to the adjustments and the diameter or the circle part when oscillating)
On both models the High setting does a lot of air, at a louder noise. We joke about it and say the jet is taking off, for the fan does lean back a little when we turn the knob up. Set up of both fans is quick and very easy
The remotes are very handy and awesome. To store the remote it's a magnet in the fan and in the remote, so just lay the remote on the fan and it sticks
Overall Great Fans, if you can get over the Price of a $450 fan, you will be happy with it. They do have a 2 year warranty with Dyson, so that is nice. Our fans always break after 1 summer; these fans have been going strong for 1 year now, still no problems.
Both fans have the same amount of air coming through them on high settings, so there no difference in power between the two models.
I liked this fan from an appearance standpoint since it was first announced, in the design stages. But the price was always just insane, so I passed.
I've gone through two or three various tower fans, and always had the same problem with them lack of air movement, noisy, and oscillation always was really clunky, jerky, and not effective. And they were mostly butt ugly tall rectangles. Garish lights on the front or LED displays.
Finally this went on sale and Dyson sent me an email. I checked a local brick and mortar and the sale was there as well, so for $150 less than the normal price, I thought I'd give it a shot. This brick and mortar has reward points you can bank up, so I had about 80 dollars worth of "bucks" so I got it even cheaper then. And since I get a 60 day return policy with no restocking fees for anything, I figured it was the perfect time to try it. It would not likely be cheaper for a while, and if it's not worth it, I can return it and be no worse off.
So I got it home. This was to replace a circular "turbo" fan that I've had for like 8 years now. That fan works great, moves air even on low speed, and isn't annoyingly loud until it's on high, and even then it's just a normal fan noise. But man, that thing gets air going, so much that loose papers around are slung everywhere. And that fan I keep right in front of an HVAC register on my floor in the great room, on the wall in "front" of my couch. That way when the AC is on, I get really good cool air breezes. But it's about 16 or so feet from where the couch sits, which is why the tower fans never worked that well there.
This was unboxed, and a quick assembly (but I took off all the little stickers when I unboxed it, and didn't realize until afterwards that those stickers tell you where each part lines up to be assembled but it's obvious anyway). Plugged it in (why, oh WHY do fan makers never make a FLAT flush to the wall plug so that it can be plugged in behind things like book cases and such without having to pull things away from the wall so much?) and fired it up. I was actually amazed at how much air it moved, even on low.
So I sat at my spot on my couch, and tested the oscillation and I have to say, this is without a doubt the best oscillation I've ever seen in a tower fan. Smooth, absolutely no noise from it whatsoever. Brilliantly done. Of course, I wasn't feeling any air movement. So I cranked it up, and started feeling a breeze. But I was surprised at how much noise it made. And yes, it's not a normal WHRRRRR fan noise because of the design, so it's a high pitched turbine kind of noise, MUCH more noticeable than a regular fan noise simply because it's different. Think weird sounding electric mixer. As the time passed it became less noticeable, especially as ambient noise in the room increased. I think it's really the difference of the expected sounds that makes it as noticeable as it is.
But still, not much air flow. Even on high, I wasn't feeling even as much as I'd feel with the old circular fan on low. I got up by it, felt around, and it's neat at least how it curves around the edges and shoots out. But that's when I noticed, it's not shooting STRAIGHT out. Both sides are blowing a vertical column of air that is somewhat pointed inward, so they intersect at like the 8 to 9 foot point. Which, of course, helps to interrupt each side's flow. At that closer mark, the airflow is much more obvious, and is then a viable fan alternative.
I moved it to the other side of my great room, next to the fireplace, so it's only about 10 feet away or so now, and it's actually kind of good there. Even on the nearly silent low setting, I can at least kind of feel airflow. They say there's no buffeting, and that's true, even on high you never feel that, but at all speeds you do notice that it's not as hard a wind blowing than it can be at other times.
As you turn it higher, it's very much like a gaming PC suddenly kicking in fans it's just about that exact sound until you get to the max settings where it's like a blender or mixer motor almost.
I'm still kind of up in the air about it, but I have 60 days to decide. I'm leaning towards keeping it now, since for the price I paid (230 less than the normal price) it may actually prove to be worth it. I don't like the circular fan I had, since that has a big base and is about 18 inches across. This takes up such a tiny amount of floor space, like 7 or 8 inches, since it's all in the vertical. Which was why I tried tower fans last summer in the first place. Aesthetically it's a win, no doubt. Nothing at all like it out there. I love the looks. The remote works very well, although I wish they hadn't made it so streamlined it's all flush, no bumps on the buttons (think the home keys, J and F, on a keyboard) to mark them, so in the dark you really have to fiddle to find what you want to press. But it works great, never a missed press that wasn't read right.
There appear to be 8 distinct levels with the remote.
So if you can use it from a place 10 feet or less from where you want the wind, it works very well. You won't get the insane hurricane force winds that you can get from other fans, but you'll get a good amount without using much space at all, and without making an otherwise attractive area of your house look a little worse from some floor fan. And I'll admit, my biggest problems with the lack of fan "presence" is in direct comparison to a floor model fan which is a totally unfair comparison, apples to oranges. It is definitely the best airflow from any tower I've tried (and returned).
Would I buy it at full retail? No, never. But for $230 less than retail, while it still stretches the price I was willing to pay for a floor fan, after having tried two or three others before, it really does seem to be a matter of getting what you paid for something. So less air flow than a full fan, but great mid and low air flow in a very, very attractive package. If it weren't for the price, I'd probably rate this thing 5 stars, but as long as it's so expensive, I can't give it more than 3.
In short, it's not worth $300, let alone $50.
Basically, at the end of the day, after all of this talk about 'buffeting', this fan is an overpriced piece of junk.
Sure, it blows air. But it's louder than any fan I've ever owned, and priced about 10x any fan I've ever owned. There are no blades, but that just means there's a high pitched jet engine running all the time in the base unit, blowing into the top. It's not what you think it is...
Basically, this fan sounds like your computer before it's about to have a heart attack, but that's just on low-power...
NOT RECOMMENDED. It looks cool, but it doesn't COOL like a normal fan. I'll take 'buffeting' any day over 'high-pitched loud-as-hell intake fan.'

Best Deals for Dyson AM02 tower fan
Well, I caved and bought this thing...In short, it's not worth $300, let alone $50.
Honest reviews on Dyson AM02 tower fan
Very Poor air mover for a large room. You can only feel the air about 6 feet away, any further away you fell nothing. Very LOUD on higher speeds. Overall very disappointed.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Dyson AM02 tower fan
This "fan" (Air Multiplier) is fantastic. Very pricy but well worth it. it moves the air around a large room at least twice as much and twice as far as an ordinary fan or even a tower squirrel-cage fan. Its noise level is virtually silent at the three lower settings. At the higher settings its noise is about the same as a regular fan but much less "buzzy." Finally, its bladlessness is a conversation starter.Monday, December 2, 2013
Best Pleasant Hearth 23-Inch Lowell Cherry Electric Fireplace Deals
Really beautiful high quality dark cherry (and heavy) furniture which enhances the room even when not turned on. The flames are surprisingly much more realistic than I expected but the glowing coals in front appear to lack depth and consequently realism. Heater works well to add secondary heat to a medium sized room but fan can be a bit noisy.
The remote control is very small and works only when it wants to.
Assembly took an hour or so. Assembly Instructions understandable (and also available on line). Ships in two boxes; one for the mantel (this is the part that must be assembled) and one for the electric flame/heater box.
This identical piece is also know as Pleasant Hearth Macomb Electric Fireplace depending on the vendor (ie BJs).
