For people down sizing from large home with a fireplace, this little stove fits the bill. I have the look and feel of a small fireplace. My recliner next to the stove is my morning meditation and coffee place. GREAT!!

Review of Lasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating Fan
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $27.99
Sale Price: $23.99
Today's Bonus: 14% Off

For 2 years I have worked in an office where war has been fought over the ambient temperature. Some like it cool and some like it very hot. I am a "like it cool" dude.
Now that spring is here, the war is back on this soldier is sick of fighting. I decided to buy a fan, but (darn) which one? It seems there are millions out there. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase this fan.
It arrived and I was initially put-off by its small size. Don't let the small size fool you. This fan, on the slow speed, moves ample air and is whisper quiet. It does the job and does it well. Now I am not as warm and am uber content not being caught up in the temperature battles.
I do not recommend this Lasko if you sleep with a fan at night. It has 2 speeds and is too quiet at the lowest speed to provide the "white noise" that us urban dwellers around the world have come to rely on.
Overall, 2 thumbs up, way up, on this fan as an office companion
Pros:
1) QUIET
2) Moves ample air
3) Small and takes up little desk-top real estate
4) Attractive
5) Oscillates
Cons:
1) Not loud enough to sleep with (only a con if you want night noise)
Love the color, relatively compact size, and fan speeds. Low is great for desktop or personal fan as long as it's not blowing right on papers. Oscillation makes a good sweep too.
CONS
Too tall if you need this to fit under an overhead bin in an office cubicle. The machine also has a moderately-high pitched whir/whine that is louder than the sound of the air blowing. I returned the first one and the second one was quieter the first time I plugged it in, then just as noisy as the first one. I could hear the whir/whine from another room even on low speed. If your office is not super-quiet or you are not using this as white noise it's still a great choice. Otherwise I'd keep looking.
Check out the user images above for size comparisons.
There are only 2 buttons:
1st button 1) Power On/Hi 2) Low speed 3) Off
2nd button 1) Oscillation On 2) Oscillation Off
Pros:
+ Love its compactness.
+ Very light. Easy to move from room to room.
+ Generally more quiet operation than most fans.
+ Oscillating
+ Only around 23 watts
Cons:
If you need more wind power, look somewhere else.
Oscillating range is pretty limited. Maybe just around 10-25 degrees.
Made in China.
Quiet, good looking, powerful, takes up minimal space, and just an extremely well-designed and engineered product. It also can "oscilate" or swings back and forth slowly if you want it to. Nice going Lasko.
So quiet, on the "low" speed it's hard to hear that it is even on.
My only small complaint is that the indicator lights that show it is on are kind of bright if it's in your bedroom and all the lights are out, but I just put a small piece of tape on the switch light to tone down the brightness. During the day, or for office use, or for less sensitive people (which is most people) this is a non-issue.
I predict it will be the most popular fan in the world once the word catches on. So get yours now, show it to your friends and neighbors and they will get one too!

This is the best $29 (current price w/shipping) you will ever spend. PROs
Easy to setup. The window kit was too short for one window and too long for another (it expands from approx 21 in. (1 piece) to around 42 inches (with both pieces), so I cut down 1 piece with a small skill saw and installed in the smaller window.
My unit arrived very quickly and was well packaged.
It does cool a moderately-sized room well, and a small room, really well.
Not too heavy and easy to move around on its rollers.
CONs
Noisy (like a window unit at a motel). I haven't tried the heater yet, but if it is as noisy as the A/C I will just pack it away until next summer.
Takes a minimum of approx 2ft x 3ft of space around the window, though I suppose you could cut the vent hose down and reduce this somewhat.
Since it is a dehumidifier, you have to manually drain the tank of water buildup. You can set up a continuous drain with the tube they give you, but because the end of the tube needs to be lower than the outgoing connection (which is on the bottom of the unit), you would probably want to put the unit on a small table. I live in a dryer area so don't know yet how long it can go without draining.
OTHER INFO
--The hose that connects the unit to the window expands to around 5 ft long (the unit works more efficiently if you keep this as short as possible) and the electric cord is around 6 1/2 ft long.
--There is a non-heater version (12000e) of this unit but with free shipping this one was the same price.
For the month when it did work, the unit cooled very well, but was very loud. The plastic piece that goes in the window is very cheap. It wheels easily.
I.ve had no problems you do have to exhaust the air hose out the window, but it has
a kit for that included. you have to drain the water some where it does have a float if the tank fills
but rolling it somewhere to drain would be such a pain, so i ran a drain line outside.
im getting one for my mom now for a backup incase her unit fails. this unit does plug into a 115v outlet
no special plug needed.
Well worth the money.

I bought this unit new and waited until this summer to open it. The unit did not work right out of the box. NewAir charged me $50 for s/h to return it, and they sent a replacement promptly. That one worked for only a month--and this was an extremely cool summer here. It comes on but does not cool the room. Now it is just barely past the 1-year warranty from the original purchase date, and NewAir refuses to help any further, saying to find a local service person. For the month when it did work, the unit cooled very well, but was very loud. The plastic piece that goes in the window is very cheap. It wheels easily.

It is a powerful unit and, as far as stand alone air conditioners go, relatively quiet. I purchased a different brand from a local hardware store and it sounded like a jet engine was taking off in the room. This unit, while forcing the television volume up a little, was about as loud as any window unit.Well worth the money.

Review of Real Flame Mt. Vernon 6900-X-DW Electric Fireplace in Dark Walnut
I ordered this fireplace 2 month ago with promice to ship whitin 48 hours. I recieved it in 3 weeks. When I opened the box, the top panel was completely crashed and broken due to the bad packaging. I requested to replace the fireplace. For two weeks I got a lot e-mail with request to make a picture of the broken part and so on. Finaly I provided a full information with sku and number. In one week and half I recieved a box with replacement part. When I opened a box I was shocked, they sent to me a top panel from corner fireplace (it is obviouse from the picture and order description it is a flat mantel). After two month I paid money for this order I still have a lot of problem and there is no solution. We really like the look if the fireplace. However, ours is a gel fuel fireplace which looks exactly the same but doesn't use electricity. Either way we are enjoying the look of it.

Reviews of Soleus HGW-308R Micathermic Flat Panel Portable Heater
I put this heater in my daughter's bedroom in December 2006. It keeps her room heated throughout at a consistent temperature in the cold months. The unit is never hot to the touch and uses little electricity. Our pets love to lay right next to it on a cold day. I have always been a little nervous about the burn and fire hazards associated with space heaters, but feel perfectly safe with this one. Steady on it's feet, also with all the activity, I would have expected it to get tipped over a few times by now, but it hasn't. I am getting ready to order another for the living room.
the room is 17 x 14. It holds 70deg thruout room with 1/2 half setting
We questioned whether the thermostat and eco mode were working properly. The heater has an automatic eco mode. When the room temperature reaches the desired thermostat setting, the heater reduces it's power consumption from 1500 watts to 1000 watts. However, the eco mode always kicked in before reaching the room temperature that we set on the heater's thermometer. So, I don't know if this was a defect, or if this is the way it's designed, but it defeats its purpose by lowering heat output when the room has not even warmed to the thermostat setting.
If it weren't for these two problems I would have given it a 5.

My wife and I fell in love with this heater as soon as we took it out of the box and plugged it in. It produced almost immediate radiant heat, very pleasant!. It takes a little while for the convection aspect to kick in. The heater draws in the cooler air at floor level. The warm panel draws the cooler air up between the back of the heater and the wall. The narrow one-inch space between the wall and the back of the heater speeds up the flow of air, producing a sort of Venturi effect, which is what makes the air in the room circulate. We questioned whether the thermostat and eco mode were working properly. The heater has an automatic eco mode. When the room temperature reaches the desired thermostat setting, the heater reduces it's power consumption from 1500 watts to 1000 watts. I have owned this type of heater for three years. After they changed the color and apparently the quality this year I've had two sent to me and after two and one half weeks to three weeks of use the cord gets burning hot. I've had to return them both and now I've got nothing and am at a loss of which model to purchase. The company told me to get another model and I wouldn't have the burning cord problem.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Soleus HGW-308R Micathermic Flat Panel Portable Heater
A friend of mine had one of these in their living room and I was interested. My space heater just died on me after only a year so I was willing to spend more than the $40 cheapy from Target, which is what died. I've had it for a month or so and it's the best heater I've ever owned, hands down. The remote, the silent action and the fact that it doesn't dry out the room.. 5 stars.Tuesday, July 15, 2014

Having grown up in Singapore many years ago, I was quite familiar with items like this and National brand rice cookers. My mother had one of these 20 years ago until it gave out a few years back. I purchased this item for my husband for Christmas. He couldn't wait to open it and so we've been using it for the past couple of weeks. I wish I'd bought it sooner. My husband was given a Cuisinart stainless steel Grind & Brew several years ago. Fabulous machine. However, a couple of years ago my husband found that despite his being the only coffee drinker (at the time) in the house, that it was 100% MY responsibility to keep the machine clean and ready for morning brewing. I got tired of this and last year he "discovered" the pleasure of Nescafe Classico instant coffee.
Lazy to boil water in the pot, he'd microwave his cups of water, never bothering to boil me a cup. I've been searching for months for a nice airpot and found this. Unfortunately, I didn't go online in my search and bought one at my favorite Chinese supermarket in Dallas. I paid over $75 when I could have found one online for close to $30 less. However, I have to say that I'm 100% satisfied with this product. It's incredibly convenient. Great for coffee, tea, hot chocolate & malt drinks, not to mention ramen noodles & other instant food items or frozen veggies that require de-frosting. Why didn't I get this sooner????? So easy to use. The only wish I had is that it came in a larger capacity. I love it so much that I use it all the time and have to keep filling it up!
Well worth the money paid. Extremely convenient. Easy to use. Looks great.

Candle Warmers Etc. Jamie Clair Tea Light Oil Warmer Reviews
I noticed my other oil burner didn't heat up the water well with fans going in the room. The tea candle was open to the breeze flowing in the room.I bought this one since it can shield the candle from the breeze. It works for that. The water reservoir is sufficient for a four hour tea candle also, even though it looks small.

I was amazed how few aromatherapy oil disperser models that are out there, and then to find one that is stylish and not looking too flowery or gothic. Hey, all you need is one and I found it! Super pricing, stylish and there the 'we'll' at the top is about 2 inches deep and held enough water and oil for a tealight candle. I love the fact I can disperse beautiful and relaxing oil in my home. Time to relax!Best Deals for Candle Warmers Etc. Jamie Clair Tea Light Oil Warmer
This thing is so simple. I have the black one and it's got a generous room for the candle and the oils on top. The only flaw is, it gets really hot so if you want to move it, you'll need a towel to pick it up. I also like the fact that the candle has it's own place and it's not just an open flame with an oil bowl just hanging on it. It's all one nice piece.Honest reviews on Candle Warmers Etc. Jamie Clair Tea Light Oil Warmer
I used to put my essential oil on top of my space heater, but I thought getting one of these would be a little more elegant. I love it, but it is so much stronger, you only need one drop of oil (diluted in water). I had no problem with several drops on my heater, but the same amount in this makes the aroma overpowering. Use sparingly and you will quite enjoy this little warmer.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Candle Warmers Etc. Jamie Clair Tea Light Oil Warmer
I am addicted to fragrance oils and more comfortable to leave these burning as I'm going from room to room (or before bed) compared to candles. I was using a more squat and wide warmer but this seems to do better on the oils lasting. The oil part at the top is quite deep and no worries about spills. I am using three of them in my own home and I also think it would make a nice gift.Tuesday, May 13, 2014

This portable space heater by Lasko helps to cut my electric bill. At first I wasn't sure if should get this or a space heater that works with oil inside of it; but I'm glad I got this one instead. It couldn't be easier to set up--just take it out of the box and plug it in! Although you should read the four pages of instructions in order to be familiar with general precautions and to know how to use the timer feature and a couple other extra features, it amazed me just how intuitive it is to get this thing up and running.
In addition, it's easy to lift--it's very lightweight, especially after you remove it from the box; and there's a neat timer function so that you can "program" this to turn off at a set time up to 8 hours in advance. Great! The machine also turns on or off automatically depending on how close it is to making your room the exact temperature you specify by pressing the plus and minus buttons to set temperature.
After you turn it on, be aware that within 20 to 30 seconds you're going to feel the heat begin to blast upward from this unit, so don't get too close to the top of it after you turn it on. Another cautionary note, at least according to the instructions, is that the device can possibly leave a permanent stain on hardwood or similar floors. If this is a concern for you, keep looking for another portable space heater. My carpeting is practically industrial strength and I have plenty of extra pieces of the carpeting in one of my closets so I personally am not too concerned about any staining that may or may not result from my using this heater.
Overall, this is a great little heater that pleasantly surprised me when I realized just how powerful it really is. Although it's not for everybody (i.e., people with hardwood floors may want to stay away) it suits me fine and I recommend it for heating rooms up to roughly 300 square feet especially when the floors are not hardwood.

After trying a stand up convection heater which took 7-9 hours to heat up our living, dining and kitchen rooms (about 400 sq feet of a 900 sq. ft apt.), we decided to try another type of heater. This heater is the best for this purpose. We do close off the bedrooms and bathrooms but this heater only takes two to three hours to heat up our living room, dining room and kitchen areas. We live in san diego and it is usually about 62 degrees in the mornings here. We warm the apt to about 71-72 degrees. I think that it would warm faster if we had decent insulation in the building and better insulated windows (Including a sliding glass door) but it is an apt so we cant change that. The apt was built in the 60's and management won't go for upgrading anything. What I am saying is if you have a better insulated house or apt you prob don't need to section off rooms by closing doors and it will prob even heat up faster. I would def. recommend this heater for heating a apt. I love it. It does have a countdown timer built into itself that will turn it off after 1-8 hours, but not one that will turn it on at a certain hour of the early morning. It also won't work with a timer plug to turn it on at early hours of the morning either because of the built in timer interferes with this function. Buy it. I do like this product. It heats our bedroom nicely and I like that the height is low. This was a replacement, as our other one finally died after several years. The replacement is very quite. Our previous one had a clicking noise when the thermostat would turn on and off. I would recommend this product.Saturday, May 10, 2014

It looks like someone dripped kids water-color paint all over this. If it wasn't so cheap, I would have sent it back. I just threw it away instead.Thursday, January 2, 2014

There is absolutely no odor while applying this product and it brought my rusty old resolute wood stove back to its former glory.Best Deals for 21st Century S21 Grill and Stove Polish, Black
This kerosene additive really seemed to help, especially while the heater was burning. But of course when it was turned first turned off, the odor was still quite strong. But it worked well for what I needed it for, no toxic fumes while burning. ThanksHonest reviews on 21st Century S21 Grill and Stove Polish, Black
These additives are a must for deodorant and clean burning of Kerosene, especially in homes. However with high-efficancy kerosene heaters the sents do not come through to notice a difference.Wednesday, December 18, 2013
Cheap Turbo Tropical Fish Liquid Solar Blanket
We have been using a liquid solar cover for a couple of years. We used the ecosavr and liked it. I guess they stopped making those because I can no longer get them. So I went with the Turbo, and it is suck-o.
First off, the fish does not sink to the bottom of the pool. So mine keep getting stuck in the skimmer. The instructions say that it will sink in time... 5 hours later no luck. So I tied it to the bottom of the ladder and the grommet ripped out...and it floated back to the surface...grrrrrr....
So then I re-read the instructions (I am kinda of a doofus at times so maybe I missed something) The instructions say if I shake it vigorously in the water it will sink faster. So I put on my underwater iPod (highly recommended by the way) turned on "Hey ya" (no wait...its on my wifes playlist not mine...really...) and I shake it like a Polaroid picture.
They it rips open like parachute at 1500' and the liquid mess empties into the pool....grrrr...
Needless to say, the other Turbos are going back today. One of the worst products I have seen since the Six Flags Bonzi Slide. Save your cash and the chemical balance of your pool and learn from my goober mistake. Avoid the Turbo.

Heard about it first late last summer and used two for the remainder of the season. Worked great I think hard to tell how often (or less often) the heater kicked on, but it seemed less. Fish behaved as advertised, no problems. It did like to swim around the skimmer, but once it sank it stayed down. Buying 6 for this summer, keep one left over for opening next year.Best Deals for Turbo Tropical Fish Liquid Solar Blanket
This is my first year using the turbo solar fish and I love it! Since there is no more messing with the solar cover, I find we use the pool more. And it heated the pool up better than the solar cover. I'd have to reread the directions, but I thought the fish was supposed to slowly sink over 30 days, not immendiately sink. When it does sink, it's empty. We tied ours to the ladder and it works great.Honest reviews on Turbo Tropical Fish Liquid Solar Blanket

Review of Dimplex DFP7823EB Rome Electric Espresso-Bronze Fireplace
This fire place fits perfect in my Apt. bedroom. the 3D flame just blow me away. And it will heat up a small room just great.
When the heater blower is on u can hear it at nite while trying to fall asleep, and lite does show from the back.so u see a little
more lite in a dark room. Cost is high but well worth it. best buy I did all year. Good luck.
