For 2 years I have worked in an office where war has been fought over the ambient temperature. Some like it cool and some like it very hot. I am a "like it cool" dude.

Now that spring is here, the war is back on this soldier is sick of fighting. I decided to buy a fan, but (darn) which one? It seems there are millions out there. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase this fan.

It arrived and I was initially put-off by its small size. Don't let the small size fool you. This fan, on the slow speed, moves ample air and is whisper quiet. It does the job and does it well. Now I am not as warm and am uber content not being caught up in the temperature battles.

I do not recommend this Lasko if you sleep with a fan at night. It has 2 speeds and is too quiet at the lowest speed to provide the "white noise" that us urban dwellers around the world have come to rely on.

Overall, 2 thumbs up, way up, on this fan as an office companion

1) Not loud enough to sleep with (only a con if you want night noise)

POSITIVES

Love the color, relatively compact size, and fan speeds. Low is great for desktop or personal fan as long as it's not blowing right on papers. Oscillation makes a good sweep too.

CONS

Too tall if you need this to fit under an overhead bin in an office cubicle. The machine also has a moderately-high pitched whir/whine that is louder than the sound of the air blowing. I returned the first one and the second one was quieter the first time I plugged it in, then just as noisy as the first one. I could hear the whir/whine from another room even on low speed. If your office is not super-quiet or you are not using this as white noise it's still a great choice. Otherwise I'd keep looking.

This is the best $29 (current price w/shipping) you will ever spend. It's the tall, silent type, except it's not overly tall at about 12 inches or so in height.

Quiet, good looking, powerful, takes up minimal space, and just an extremely well-designed and engineered product. It also can "oscilate" or swings back and forth slowly if you want it to. Nice going Lasko.

So quiet, on the "low" speed it's hard to hear that it is even on.

My only small complaint is that the indicator lights that show it is on are kind of bright if it's in your bedroom and all the lights are out, but I just put a small piece of tape on the switch light to tone down the brightness. During the day, or for office use, or for less sensitive people (which is most people) this is a non-issue.

I predict it will be the most popular fan in the world once the word catches on. So get yours now, show it to your friends and neighbors and they will get one too!

I have this in my Snap on Elite gun safe. I have a humidity/temp monitor and this keeps the interior temperature around 84 deg with a humidity around 50%. I live on the gulf coast of Florida and it seems to do well even in our warm humid climate.

Works very well and doesn't overheat. Features a removable plug end that makes it a lot easier to thread through the exterior opening on my safe. Keeps humidity low and my guns nice and dry. I use this and silica gel moisture absorbers and have zero issues with rust or pitting on any of my firearms. Excellent purchase and looking forward to years of service from this unit.

If you look carefully at the pictures, there are actually two or three different items depicted. One is a 2.5 ft brush made of white plastic, the other two show a metal one that is perhaps longer and skinnier. I received the 2.5 ft white plastic one.

I have old metal radiators in our brownstone apartment. This works better than anything else I have tried to get the dust out. It condenses down enough to slide in (at least from the top, it isn't skinny enough to get in from the sides), but it is 'bushy' enough to expand into the open slots as it goes down and knock the dust out.

I'm a little worried about the durability (the wire near the handle is already getting a bit too flexible after one round of cleaning 5 radiators), but honestly, I was desperate enough that I would have paid this price even if I had known the brush wouldn't last forever.

The dust comes off the brush easily enough when you wash it.

Works great for cleaning radiators. Bend it in any shape. Very sturdy. Be sure to have a vacuum running while using it so the dust coming out isn't going back in.

This is a great brush. I wasn't able to find anything similar at Lowe's/HD and this got in between the radiator slats great. The only thing is that it could stand to be a bit more sturdy and less flexible. Some flexibility is good but it does kink if it goes in really tight places. But you can hold it down further and it will still work. I was just so happy to find it that I dealt with it. I do think they should combine shipping though and not charge a completely additional fee when they could both fit in the same box and theyt are quite light. I would buy more if it weren't for that.

Terrible, terrible fan and horrible customer service. We ordered this fan and had it for 2 weeks before a fuse broke and needed to be replaced in order for the fan to operate. We called the company and was told that we could return the fan and get a replacement within 3-5 business days. 2 and a half weeks later our new fan arrived. We set it up, plugged it in, and it doesn't work. It makes a choppy sound and doesn't oscilate. Do not waste your time or money on this fan!

This unit works as great as the other similarly priced units in my home, but it is the noisiest air conditioner I have ever owned and I had a friend install (professionally) it in my bedroom! Think of a cross between constant, non rhythmical tin cans rattling, occasional hail and ice pinging against it, sirens and water gurgling and you have this unit. it will make you crazy. I read the instruction book this morning and sure enough, there is a full half page description of the ghastly "normal" sounds this thing will make that you are expected to live with. Too bad you can't read the booklet before buying. Like I said, none of those sounds "normally" come out of my other air conditioners. Because I can't do heavy lifting, I will now how to wait for the next available friend to move it to a room in which I don't sleep. Ugh.

Bought this ac unit for cooling an 800 square foot apartment. It did it, though not how you'd expect. The office it was placed in was very cool and crisp on all but the hottest of days. The unit does struggle above 90 degrees fahrenheit, but below that it is sufficient.

Kept the whole apartment a good 10-20 degrees cooler than outside, which considering it's meant for one room, is not bad.

I put this air cond in a room that was too big (15x15) I've had it for a month and a half and its doing the job very well. it only takes 15min to cool off the room and it runs 24/7 and it not that loud. I'm going to buy another one for the bedroom.

If you close the room, it will cool it down in 20 minutes on maximum cool settings. Fans could be better though.

I ordered the mini-fridge for my office for days when I bring lunch from home. It is a great size and fit well on my desk. Unfortunately, after about 2 weeks, it stopped getting very cold. Then it stopped staying cold. After about 6 weeks, it stopped getting cold at all. Needless to say, I was not pleased. When I contacted the seller to return the item, I was told curtly that the warranty for this product is only 30 days, and I had not contacted Amazon until nearly 2 months (!!) after the purchase, so it could not accept the return. After I pressed the point, the seller not-so-subtly implied that I had broken the item, as these types of items typically last for years, and again that it could not accept the return. If you're looking for a mini-cooler that actually keeps things cold (or a seller that is interested in making customers happy), look for another product!

I bought this as a gift for my mother in December 2011 to place in her bedroom and it ran good during the time she had it. Then in August 2012 (8 1/2 months later) it overheated (on cool) and caught fire.

If she weren't at home it would have set fire to her wooden nightstand she had it on then catch flame to her bed then her room and possibly the whole house. Even if she weren't in the room at the time it started it could have done substantial damage.

Luckily she was in the room and heard crackling and smelled smoke and quickly unplugged the unit.

The entire side where the plug goes into the refrigerator was completely melted.

A safety issue and I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy

This little fridge really surprised me with how good it works!The food is kept almost icy cold(not frozen)and it has just the right amount of storage for me.I can fit a couple of sandwiches,a container of milk and yogurt into it all at once.

Just right to help keep your drinks cold over short periods of time at your desk. It's still a fridge (of a different sort) so don't be unreasonable and expect it to not make any noise. Also keep in mind that the heat this removes from the inside compartment has to come right back out into your room. It would be perfect if the inside compartment were an inch taller, then it would accommodate most plastic bottles as well. You can usually fit one in there if you put it in diagonally, but it's just BARELY too short to slide in normally. Heartbreaking.

The thermostat setting going on and off will startle you every time. I don't know why the thermostat has to be so loud.

The fan's white noise is tolerable when I'm studying next to it but rather loud first thing in the morning. Not good near a TV either.

However, this is good to put in a room to prevent pipe freeze (set it to 40 degrees).

I bought this Holmes heater for my bedroom because during the winter months, my bedroom sometimes get's that extra chill. This little heater does it job by keeping me warm and toasty. I don't rest my heater on the floor, that does not mean you can't rest the heater on the floor, you can rest it on the floor. I just rest mines on a little wood table and it does the job just find. I have bought many heaters over the years and I love this one the best.

PROS: 1. This heater heats up your room quick.

2. It has tip over safety protection: meaning if the heater fell over it will shut of.

3. It heats up to 1500 Watts.

4. Electronic Thermostat.

5. 2 Heat Settings: meaning you can set it at 1200 watts or 1500 watts.

6. LCD digital controls: meaning you can set your heater on what ever degrees you wish, Example 65 degrees to 90 degrees.

CONS: I only have one con which is ,it is a little to loud, not to loud that you can't sleep.

I would recommend this heater for anybody who want to keep warm in the winter time.
