My Kargo Kooler arrived damaged in a dented box without any interior packing materials. The lid doors were warped and a little loose, a screw was missing from a hinge, the cheap plastic lid latch did not work properly, and I could not use this cooler vertically as a "refrigerator" because the heavy bottom door sagged badly. Perhaps attaching the heavy cooling unit to a lid door is a design flaw of this model.

The Kargo Kooler arrived a day before a 1600-mile road trip: I tested it en route to the Deep South in April as a chest cooler for exotic cheeses and a frozen pork roast, plugged into a socket in the cargo area of my Subaru Forester. I also splurged for the the optional AC adapter so I could plug it in at hotels. It cooled things superbly, despite lid problems. Yes, it may be a bit noisy in quiet office/home environments, but I did not notice its hum above road noise or the loud blasts of heating/cooling in highway hotel rooms.

My unit was obviously damaged from shipping, so I'm returning it to Amazon for a refund. Just check the lid covers and hinges very closely for damage and/or defects if you order this item.

I liked this enough to give Koolatron a second chance: I just ordered Koolatron's slightly smaller rolling mini-fridge model which may better suit my needs, has an adjustable thermostat, and should tuck away nicely and discreetly under the cargo area blind of my Subaru.

I got this as a sort of "extra" frig for drinks in the summer. However, it freezes up easily and can't be adjusted for temperature. It is lightweight and portable, working well for a drink chest for parties.

Also, the plug in that comes with it was missing. It only plugs into a car outlet--I had to buy the adapter to use it in the house.

Given the choice, I'd probably go with a small refrig that adjusts temperature. However, again, I like the portability of this product.

Used this on my road trip, it did great keeping all my food and drinks cold. Even when driving through the hot desert of 90 degree weather, it did cool down below 40 degrees from outside temperature, so it was 50 degrees inside cooler for our food. Warmer does great, can use up to 4 hrs maximum. Either cooler or warmer, plug into 12v lighter when car is running or will drain your car battery. It stays cool when at picnic and cannot plug cooler in.

Only concern is when fans running, its loud inside the car. When driving the road noise blends it out. After awhile you don't even think about it. Not too bulky in the backseat. Easily used seat belts to help hold it down when driving, such as around corners. Greatly recommend this cooler/warmer. My friend had a different brand and didn't work well. This one is a great portable fridge. Plus bought adapter from Amazon.com to use at hotel rooms, plug right in to wall outlet.

The hinge on the door was broken on arrival even though the packaging was not damaged. It seems like the double door concept with the heavy cooler mechanism on the door put a lot of stress on the plastic hinge. Good concept, but poor execution. I had to return it before we could even turn it on....

WE GOT INTO THE TRANSPORTATION BUSINESS AND NEEDED A SMALL FRIDGE TO KEEP DOWN THE COST OF FOOD.. WE HAVE USED THIS KOOLATRON ALMOST STEADY FOR A MONTH NOW. IT KEEPS ON GOING. THE ONLY THING BETTER WOULD BE IF IT WAS VERSITLE TO PLUG INTO CAR AND HOME. WE BOUGHT AN ADAPTER TO TAKE IT INTO MOTELS AND SUCH TO BE ABLE TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE.. WE JUST LOVE IT THOUGH. After 30 days. This is a great hammock...seems small at first but it very comfortable holds my wife and I at the same time. We've literally fallen asleep for a couple hours while listing to music as the dusk turns to night. Oatmeal color hides stains. Duracord is soft to the touch and dries quickly after rain. Haven't had critter issues yet. Weaving looks nice and appears durable. Stretch is adequate without becoming a problem. Steel and wood pieces are nicely finished...overall a terrific and relaxing addition to our yard.

Absolutelty top-notch. I left it out in rain, shine and fog for 6 months now. Don't have the energy to get it inside each time it rains (and oh boy, did it rain this summer in Dallas!). Each time sun shines back, my hammock is as great-feeling, as shiny and as taut as new. This weekend I had a party in my backyard, and my guests turned on the rough heat a little bit they were even using it as a swing, three adults at a time. I was a little concerned, but at the end it was as if nothing happened. Kind of the feeling you get after you complete your first cross-state long drive with your Honda or Toyota you are concerned whether your car is OK, but that trip was not even as much as a dent on its mind-boggling robust engineering. Pawleys rocks!

Mine and my wife's inexperience at the beginning resulted in a very scarily tangled up knot all the hammock's ropes seemed to be tied to evry other piece of rope and passing through every other hole. But we slept on ot for a night, and gave it another shot next day. An intricate amount of mathematical calculations saved the day, and the hammock was straight again. It was us to blame in the first place be careful to handle the hammock the right way. While rolling up, use the wood bars at the ends as anchor. Do not try fancy styles or get inattentive while rolling it up or down.

Having had Pawleys Island Hammocks before, I was glad to see the addition of the Dura Cord product line. I was a little apprehensive about the "feel" of the new material, but it is actually nicer than the old cotton one, and looks beautiful. Average lifetime of the cotton was about 4 years for us when left out all the time, so we will see about this one, but I trust the brand, so assume it will be better.

A great hammock! The antique brown color is perfect because it doesn't show dirt or marks as easilly as a white hammock would. It's a very comfortable hammock and fits very well on a hammock stand. My husband loved this as a birthday gift! If you are expecting rain, do take it inside as it takes quite awhile to dry out.

I received a Pawley's Island hammock as a gift in July, 2009 (birthday). It was the new DuraCord version. It was comfortable but the rope deteriorated and broke by August of 2010, just one month past the one year warranty, and was not in a place where it could be retied. My previous hammocks made from the traditional cotton rope have lasted 4-6 years on average. I think they have some work to do on the duraCord product!

I bought this space heater after searching for something to quickly heat up my bedroom in the winter, so I wasnt running the whole house heater all evening. I have had this for 5 months now and it has worked flawlessly! The remote is super handy as well. From the remote you can turn the power on, turn swivel off and on, increase the temp setting, and change the mode. Thats the other great thing it has a mode that just blows air like a fan, a low heat setting and a high heat setting. It also has an eco setting, but Im not quite sure what that does. The ONLY drawback Id say for this, is that you cant sent the timer from the remote. You have to set the timer on the unit itself. The timer is great too, you can set it for 30 minute increments, up to several hours. Ive never tested it, but it also has a tip feature that shuts the machine down if it falls over. Sorry to disagree with the other reviews, but this heater has been great for me!

When it works, it works well. However I have had a great deal of problem with the unit shutting down almost immediately upon turning it on.

After much aggravation it dawned on me that the blower fan was not spinning. I took the unit to my workshop, removed the screws from the rear of the unit, applied WD-40 to each bearing, plugged the unit in and gave the fan a little push to get it going. After a few seconds I turned the unit off and back on no fan action. I got the fan going again and let it run for a few minutes, turned it off and back on again. This time it started up fine.

I reassembled the unit, returned it to the house, plugged it in and it is working fine. All this was done just minutes ago so I do not know if the unit will keep on working properly.

I wanted to put this information out on the WWW to let others know that, if they have the same problem, this may be a solution.

I don't want to get too philosophical here 'cause this is a after all a product review but this product is yet again another example of cheaply made Chinese garbage.

If Companies want to operate in the US they should at least offer products made in this country and as consumers we should all demand that they do. It's not just that the Chinese make products that die prematurely wasting everyone's time and money, we need to realize that it takes the Earth's FINITE resources to make them and dispose of them as well.

Anyway, performance-wise the Delonghi TCH7690 Safeheat 28" tower ceramic heater is the same as any other 1500 Watt heater. Despite the marketing hype you may read from heater manufacturers, 1500 watts of input yields something under 1500 watts of output. That's it, I don't care how you slice it. So if you're in the market for a space heater, I would look for the most attractive, least expensive unit, made in America if it exists. And if not made in America at least backed by a US company that you can actually contact and who will gladly repair or replace the unit when (not if) it fails. This will not be too long if it's made in China.

Like other reviewers, I now have a 28-inch piece of junk. This unit for the past 4 days would not operate properly, and I was too busy with other tasks to return it to Amazon. Well it died today [no red light indicating power], and it's 1 day past the Return policy! So, straight to the Trash.

Stay away from this product.

Amazon needs to do a better job of (a) quality control of products they sell, and (b) relaxing their Return policy when devices they sell/ship fail outright.

I just received my heater and plugged it in. The heating coils turned on but then smoke started coming out of the unit and the fan wasn't coming on but instead it was making an awful humming noise. It is a shame since I love this style of heater, guess I will have to go find a better brand.

I bought one of these heaters more than 10 years ago from I don't remember where.

It cost less than $20 back then. It is still going strong, never have had a problem with it.

They might make them with less quality now; I don't know. I've used it mostly in my small

bathroom to keep the steam off the mirror while taking hot showers during the winter and it

worked adequately for that. For the past few years I've had it in my 19' travel

trailer with a slide-out while in campgrounds with power hook-ups so I don't

have to use propane for the gas furnace. I leave it on all night on the 750w setting

and it keeps the trailer interior above 70F when it's in the 40's outside. If this

heater ever stopped working I would probably buy another one.

Awesome little heater. Make sure you follow the directions and use a wrench to tighten the fittings. I did not the first time and caught the whole thing on fire. Other than that it heated up an oversized 2 car garage in about 20 minutes to warmer than the rest of the house. I used it to heat an area about 300 ft2 in an non-insulated outdoor tent and it worked well too. Just do not leave it unattended while it is on. The propane lasts along time and it was not noisy.

I bought two LP heaters. Both were as simple to operate and as safe as your typical gas grill. Both perform adequately on your standard gas grill LP tank. They do not use electricity which is an advantage during a power outage.

This is my second Port-A-Cool product and I was really looking forward to purchasing an American product to help cool my Auto Shop in Phoenix, AZ. The unit was not properly cleaned between manufacturing and final assembly. There was so much plastic debris in the water container area that the pump picked it up and proceded to clog the fill hoses on the inside. The increased pressure of the pump working blew the pump seal. All within the first week of ownership. Very disappointed. Spent much effort and time getting the insides cleaned of plastic pieces and cuttings that should have been done during assembly. No quite the Ready-to-use experience I was hoping for.

I am very pleased with the volume of cool air this cooler puts out into my shop area. It lowers the air about 17 to 20 deg. It works very well on a hot day when the humidity is very low. If the humidity gets above 40%, the cooler is not as efficient. At that time I just use the 24 inch fan without the water.

I replaced a worn-out 1 hour timer with this one which controls the Air conditioning (low voltage circuit) in a small chapel. It works well and doesn't have to be reset if your event goes over 1 hour.

I bought this timer for my garage, to keep my 2HP, 240V air compressor from coming on in the middle of the night when I forget to shut it off. Since the timer mechanism is sensitive to vibration, I had to mount it on the wall and NOT the compressor itself. I wired this single pole switch in one leg of the 240V circuit to save cost, and it works fine. It would have been better to use the 6-hour FF46H and switch both poles. It's a little tight in a standard small J-box; a deep one would offer more room for wires. It's too soon to tell how long the contacts will last in my application, but since I don't use it every day, it will probably outlive me.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm not really the spa type, but there was something appealing about the idea of stepping out of the shower to a warm towel, so I decided to give the Jerdon Towel Spa Towel Warmer a try. The smaller than expected unit (about the size of a small trash can) promised a hot towel in about 10 minutes. Here's how it fared:

Day 1: I use the largest, fluffiest towels available, and I had some doubts that it would fit inside the Towel Spa. To my surprise, the folded towel fit nicely. Unfortunately when the heating cycle completed, only the parts of the towel that directly touched the unit's walls were hot. The rest of the towel was cool. The uneven heating was not what I was hoping for. There was also an unpleasant burning plastic kind of smell that really killed the whole "spa experience" atmosphere (and perhaps a brain cell or two). I also noticed that the outside of the unit got pretty hot.

Day 2: I decided to toss my son's smaller towel in the Towel Spa while he was in the bath. That worked much better, and I had a nice, hot (but not too hot) towel ready for him when he was done. He gives the Towel Spa a big thumbs up! The smell was still pretty strong, and I had to keep my son away from the too-hot Towel Spa, which wasn't easy in his smaller bathroom.

Day 3: I know this isn't what the Towel Spa was designed for, but fond memories of just-out-of-the-dryer clothes prompted me to toss in an undershirt and a pair of boxers. Now that's something to remember in the dead of winter! I could see using it for my son's pajamas as well. The smell persisted, but fortunately it doesn't seem to affect anything inside the Towel Spa.

Ultimately, drawbacks like external heat, that awful smell, and limited counter space outweighed the limited benefits (at least for me) of the Towel Spa, so I can't really give it a ringing endorsement. I can see using it in limited cases, especially in the winter, but overall it seems to fail as a luxury/spa item.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is one of those items that I am reasonably sure I would never purchase for myself. However, after a trip to England (where this was a staple in the rooms) I thought it would be a nifty thing to have.

First off, the size, and shape of this item leaves a little to be desired. I would have preferred it be thinner and more elongated for easier placement in the bathroom. As it is, it seems cumbersome and always in the way.

Secondly, the controls for this leave a little to be desired. Something that should be rather simply, quickly falls into a guessing game of warm/ not warm. Also, if you fold the towel and place it into the warmer it seems to have trouble penetrating the inner parts of the towel. A good work around it to let the towl fall into the bin so that it's all scrunched up. This allows the towel to become heated throughout.

It does serve it's purpose, in that it does warm towels but seems to have some limitations. Now, I will say this caveat. When the Minnesota winter hits, I am intending to use it to warm up my hats, gloves, and socks and see how that goes. It may prove really useful for that. As a towel warmer for the average consumer I would give it three stars. Good concept, so-so execution. I'm just not sure this is something that people are going to say they 'have to have'.

The minuses: compartment small for larger towels, takes 8 minutes to heat (so start it early if you want the towel warm when done with your shower) can't do two towels back to back, (the unit needs to cool first before warming the second.)

The warm towel is very nice. I can see myself warming up my scarf, hat, socks even a small light blanket on those freezing winter days. I hope the new model (if there is one) would have a larger compartment to accomodate larger towels.
