Aside from both boxes arriving with no damage, there isn't much else good to say about this piece. DO NOT believe anything you read about this being easy to put together. It took me over 5 hours with a power driver (I can't imagine how long it would have taken with the regular allen wrench they give you). The piece at the bottom didn't properly line up either and there's a gap that's very noticeable. Also, the screws were rusted into the screen rod and were impossible to get out without a vice and pliars and having to strip them. There were also no holes drilled for the firebox to install in the back of the unit (not that this was a big deal, but for those who don't have a power drill it would be since it mentions nowhere in the directions that you need one). Overall after it was together, it looks ok with the exception of the white bottom piece not lining up and leaving a gap. For $450, I would expect ALOT more quality craftmanship than what I got. I probably would have shipped the whole thing back for a refund, but tearing it apart again and re-packaging it just wouldn't be worth it. It's not horrible, but far from worth the amount I paid for it. If I could do it over, I'd look for other corner units.

This fireplace is really nice looking. A great piece of furniture for my living room. The room is large and it helps keep it warm as I have quite a few windows. Really pretty. I love it. A couple of my friends are going to order this very same fireplace.

This stove is really nice. It keeps the house at a constant 70 even when the temp is in the single digits outside. The only thing we would like better is if it had a tray for the ashes

We looked at a lot if stoves and we still think this was best value for the money

I LOVE this heater HOWEVER after 1 winter I stored it and now we are in winter again and I am getting a error message on the heater of "PF". I looked in the manuel and it says that it is a temperture sensor issue and I have to contact the Service Center. The "limited warranty" is 1 year so I am out of luck. The $80 I paid for this heater would have been worth every penny only if it had lasted more then just 1 year. I am considering buying a newer/different model because when it did work it was great! not only a heater but it also is a fan. Being able to set the temperture to what you want is very convenient.

I've used one of these for two winters and love it. This year we are buying one for our daughter to use in her room. We bought a different brand locally and are sorely disappointed because you have to sit within 18" of the heater to actually feel anything.... The DeLonghi TCH6690ER has a low and high speed that truly is the perfect two speeds to warm you up. I can set this in my cold master bathroom and point it into our bedroom to warm both rooms up. It's tall enough to be effective but not so tall that it will be difficult to store over the summer. This is the second one I'm buying so that should say something!!

I am a recently disabled adult that cannot get enough of a good cup of tea. So seeing this I thought it would make a nice birthday present for me, and make life a little easier around the kitchen. It performs as it says it will.

It looks bulky but is surprisingly lightweight and easy to handle. The whole unit spins on a lazy-susan device making it east to direct the steam vent away from kitchen surfaces.

You will need a water pitcher of some kind to fill this easily. I have a medium sized one sand simply filly the pitcher twice to fill this device once. The handle on top, removable lid, and notched corner makes emptying and cleaning a breeze.

The temperature features are splendid and accurate, there are three:

205 for noodles/ramen etc, herbal infusions, pu-er, Assam and some other black teas..

195 For Darjeeling or delicate blacks like Illam valley are at this temperature as well, let the water sit a few minutes in the brew pot befor adding tea leaves, if you have a very delicate tea.

175 for green or white teas. A few of the more delicate whites fill the tea pot first, then add the leaves. By filling your teapot dry first, this allows the water to lose 5-10F by just warming the pot. Often enough to make a better flavored tea.

On a given day I can go from pu-er tsocha right from boiling, and set the temp to 195. Make a pot of bold assam in the afternoon when at a full boil, then set the temp to 175. Now, after dinner it is set for making jasmine tea for dessert. All with a minimal energy usage and cost.

I have found it a good idea to refill it only 1-2 times then empty the remains, give it a brush inside with a towel, and then let it completely dry. My scale buildup was reduced quite a bit this way.

For a fully able person this unit -isa bit of a luxury. A simple electric teapot with temperature control would do you just fine for a fraction of the initial cost. This will make cost up over time by the thermos nature though, just a fyi.

Have a chain tea drinker in your life though or thoughts for limited commercial use (like a small teahouse), or like tea but have a very full life and time schedule? This would make a great gift for you or even a small splurge to treat yourself.

UPDATE:

Almost two years later and it not only looks fine but functions just as well as the day I got it. I have to descale it about every 9 months or so. Other than that it is pretty maintenance free. Talk about longer term bang for your buck. If you drink tea or would use boiling water on a daily basis, this is a staple for your kitchen.

Some other uses I found. When making soup, rice, thinning a sauce, or deglazing a pan fill your measuring device from the Zojirushi set in slow pour. I now use water from the boiler and the hot water not only speeds up the process, but some flavors are left alone because the room temp water would have cooled the dish and altered the flavors.

I have also found the steel finish wipes very easily. A friend who bought the white version has some staining that stubbornly persists to this day. All in all if you get one you will not be disappointed.

(small edits made above with input from trial and error over the period I've owned this boiler.)

This is my third Zojirushi electric boiler and the best so far! It boils water quickly, dispenses water at a rate that prevents splashing and saves energy by using vacuum insulation. In response to an earlier review, I placed a digital thermometer probe inside a nearly full pot to gauge the accuracy of the unit. The selected temperature of 195 degrees Fahrenheit was measured to be 192 degrees. This difference seems insignificant considering thermometer margin of error. Also, the water temperature does rise above the highest setting of 208 degrees but this is ONLY after boiling. It does return to the selected temperature and maintains at this setting. Lastly, the unit is so well insulated that after choosing the "vacuum insulation" setting which uses no electricity until dispensing water, 195 degree water was still 150 degrees 8 hours later. This is quite an impressive unit.

If you're looking for hot-water on tap for tea, hot cereals, instant soups, ramen, etc this is a very convenient item.

I drink green teas heavily, and bought it based on the strength of reviews and the Zojirushi brand reputation. I was not disappointed.

I fill it up from the tap, move it to the counter and plug it in. It usually boils in around an hour, and then settles back down to the (adjustable) setpoint in another 1.5 ~ 2 hours. Although I haven't taken a thermometer to its output to verify consistency, I've had great results from the teas I use, so the variations can't be too wild.

As is common with Japanese consumer products the controls are well thought out. It has an unlock button to prevent you shooting water onto the floor or something else accidentally, and the double action lever to open the top makes it hard to have your hand in the way & get a steam burn as you open it.

The water level is clearly visible via a clear tube with a patterned background, and the 4L capacity suits my tea usage for somewhere between 4 and 7 days, depending on just how much I happen to feel like having.

I especially recommend it if you're a Macha tea fan, as it makes the process remarkably fast and easy, simply scoop your tea into a bowl, add some water straight from the Zojirushi, whisk and enjoy.

The only design annoyance I've seen is that the power plug relies on magnets to hold itself in the socket. This is itself a good idea, except most of the body is metal. So if you position the dispenser such that you 're trying to plug it up from behind and can't see where the plug should be exactly, the magnet sticks to the body anywhere you put it until you can feel around for the socket. A fairly minor annoyance, but one that could have been fixed by making the body out of plastic further around the plug socket.

Very solid overall product.

Honest reviews on Zojirushi CV-DSC40 VE Hybrid Water Boiler and Warmer, Stainless

This is the first water heater I've bought although my in-laws have one. And it is exactly what one has learned to expect of a made-in-Japan electronic device: it is cute, functional, very easy to use, unobtrusive (except when if finishes boiling water and plays a short Bach minuet which my wife likes), and most importantly: operates exactly how you want it to with no annoyances! (What could be worse than a device that annoys you every time you use it?) Here's a small example of its design perfection: the unlock button keeps it unlocked long enough so that if you pause briefly to look inside your cup you can continue filling without pushing it again. Clearly a masterfully designed water heater. Its one small design flaw (that displays its primary intent for the Japanese market) is that the English text on the buttons extends slightly beyond the circles (whereas I expect the kanji would fit exactly in the circles).

Another issue that I now realize is important is power consumption. It claims to use only 17 watts when maintaining water at 195 deg (with room temp 68 deg). So I don't feel guilty leaving it on all night and can easily get my wife a hot cup of tea when I wake in the morning. I didn't see this power consumption number anywhere before I bought it, although now I would definitely compare power consumption between models before buying one.

After the recommendation of our family we invested almost $200 in getting a top of the line hot water dispenser. The hot water dispenser was a really great addition to the kitchen and we used it every day. After ten months, the pump just stopped working one day.

It would make a funny noise and that is it. I tried to call their customer service, but they could not find my registration even though I had sent in the card. Unfortunately I did not have the original receipt and even though I could produce the bank record, they pretty much said I was out of luck, even though the manufacturing code indicated the unit was less than a year and half old.

I called one of their service centers next, and they pretty much said it was $50 just to open it and take a look, and then the cost of parts and labor. Since I am a handy guy, I then tried to fix it for myself. They use a security screw, so you can't open it unless you have the special security nut driver.

So, would I buy this again? Probably not. I'm looking at installing an instant hot water dispenser for my sink which will run me about $300 with installation. This may seem to be twice as much, but given the electrical costs, lack of counter space and the ease of replacement, this seems a much better deal.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

I just received my heater and plugged it in. The heating coils turned on but then smoke started coming out of the unit and the fan wasn't coming on but instead it was making an awful humming noise. It is a shame since I love this style of heater, guess I will have to go find a better brand.

I bought one of these heaters more than 10 years ago from I don't remember where.

It cost less than $20 back then. It is still going strong, never have had a problem with it.

They might make them with less quality now; I don't know. I've used it mostly in my small

bathroom to keep the steam off the mirror while taking hot showers during the winter and it

worked adequately for that. For the past few years I've had it in my 19' travel

trailer with a slide-out while in campgrounds with power hook-ups so I don't

have to use propane for the gas furnace. I leave it on all night on the 750w setting

and it keeps the trailer interior above 70F when it's in the 40's outside. If this

heater ever stopped working I would probably buy another one.

Cheap Oreck AirInstinct HEPA Large Room Air Purifier

Oreck AirInstinct HEPA Large Room Air Purifier
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have owned a number of air cleaners over the years. Most recently, I placed two Hoover Air Purifier with TiO2 Technology WH10600 in the rooms of my children to combat an unusually bad allergy season. Prior, I also owned two Winix PlasmaWave 5300 Air Cleaner Model, sold by Sears and marketed as Kenmore Plasma Air cleaners (made by same company). I rate the Hoover Air Purifier with TiO2 Technology WH10600 a better air cleaner. It's also about $100 cheaper than the Oreck as of the date of this review.

The Oreck AirInstinct is clearly targeting the advanced air cleaner market. This market is typically differentiated primarily through price and certain functions. This air cleaner offers true HEPA performance and many functional (operationally) options. However, it is seemingly missing proven technology such as UV filters incorporated in many other products and at a lesser price. Where the Oreck shines is in it's near silent operation, style, form (can fit up against a wall), various modes, sleep function, and 3 year HEPA filter, and 3 year odor filter. The value of the 3 year filters equates to anywhere from $125$400 depending on the comparison air cleaner (i.e. Plasma Replacement filters can be very expensive). The replacement filters for the Hoover Air Purifier with TiO2 Technology WH10600 will run about $85 over the course of 3 years of average household use. I did not mention the so called "mood light" because who really cares?

The unit is quality built and does not feel cheap in any manner. Operationally, the Oreck runs and looks great. It's very quiet and cleaned the air in our entire Master Bedroom pretty quickly. The filter system is comprised of three filters. The HEPA, odor, and pre-filter. In my opinion, the odor filter did nothing to remove odors (another reviewer noted this as well). My wife's perfume for example, was still evident even two hours later with the air cleaner running the entire time. The automatic operation features of the product makes it "plug and play." This includes the auto sleep feature that reduces the airflow of the unit when it senses the lights have been out for about three minutes. When the lights come back on, after a few minutes, the air flow is increased automatically. I like these features as they are more advanced than the 3 power stage and auto features associated with most of the units on the market today. But the sleep feature can be a problem if you intend the unit to run at full power regardless of the time of day.

It is important to note that when purchasing air cleaner units, they are rated for room size. In the case of this product, it is rated for a room not to exceed 248 square feet (Hoover is rated at 79 square feet). At this price point, I expect better performance in terms of room size that would let me use the unit in larger rooms. I would gladly give up the mood light and sleep function as a trade off. Also, as I previously mentioned, this product does not have any UV light to kill germs. While many people laugh at such a feature, I can tell you first hand it works when properly applied by room size. Typically, you will either use the UV light with a Titanium Dioxide coated screen or a Plasma generator, which is the functional equivalent of an air ionizer.

The bottom line is that the Oreck is a heavy duty, quality built, HEPA air cleaner without germ killing capabilitythat will save you the expense of replacing filters at least every year, if not more often. As of the date of this review, there has been a significant price fluctuation downward from the MSRP, previous Amazon price, and current price. I believe this reflects the fact that it does not have germ killing capability and people are opting for the cheaper units with such a capability. (Don't let the out of stock warning fool you, they only had 8 units when it first went online). I gave this unit 4 stars because it does what it says it does and does so quietly.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I've owned a Rabbit Air BioGS for almost ten years now, so I have a lot of confidence and experience in my belief that Oreck AirInstinct completely blows Rabbit Air away. Here's why:

Bulk vs. Sleek Chic

Rabbit Air, quite frankly, just looks antiquated, bulky and uninspired. By comparison, AirInstinct is sleek, modern and is significantly less bulky. The Rabbit air is enormous by comparison. It's kind of like jalopy vs. elegance.

Lighted Display vs. Cool Mood Light

From day one, I always disliked the Rabbit Air's control panel and display; the glowing lights and visual cues are ridiculously bright for a product that's intended to be used in a bedroom. And there's just FAR too many things to look at, and most of it is redundant. To this day, I have to grab the user manual to decipher what half of it means; it's overdone and should be streamlined. Worse still, there's simply no way to turn off all those bright glowing lights come bedtime. So from day one, I had to drape a hand towel over the Rabbit Air's display just to darken the room so I could go to sleep. Yes, it's THAT bright. So I was stuck with this humungous $400 air purifier that looked stupid with a towel draped over it because the display lights can't be turned off or dimmed. On the flipside, Oreck's AirInstinct has a very soothing mood ring on the top left corner of the unit, that gently changes color to give visual cues to the current air quality; Blue, Purple, Magenta and Red = Monitoring, Low, Medium and High respectively. Better yet, that lighted mood ring can be TURNED OFF. So during the day, I leave the glowing ring on for a cool mood light, and at night, I turn it off. Duh take note, Rabbit Air!

Remote Control vs Streamlined Control Panel

At first, the remote control for my Rabbit Air seemed like a great idea. However, in a real world setting, it has proven virtually useless. I never use it and it's just another thingamajig I gotta keep track of. Less is more, and AirInstinct does it better. All of the AirInstinct's controls are located on the top edge of the unit. There are very few buttons to press, and the function of each one is clearly marked. Tiny blue LEDs give visual cues as to what your settings are, and there's even a pleasing chime that plays gently with each button press. Very nice and easy to use. Between the mood lighting and gentle chimes, Oreck is creating an overall feel here serenity, calming, breathe and relax nice touch Oreck.

Strikingly Similar Filters

The Rabbit Air and Oreck AirInstinct use almost identical filters in size, look and function. Both units use a 3 stage filter process -1) pre-filter, 2) odor reducing carbon and 3) a HEPA filter. The main HEPA filters for both are almost exactly the same; the only difference being, Rabbit Air has a thin sheet covering one side of the accordion HEPA filter, while the Oreck does not. This thin sheet does trap some dust, but it probably offers little benefit over Oreck's filter, since both are rated for 99.97% dust filtering and 0.3 microns. Both Rabbit Air and AirInsticnt use the same type of pre-filter. As far as the carbon filter -Rabbit Air uses carbon pellets sealed in a plastic honeycomb casing, while Oreck simply uses treated sponge. I've read that some people's Rabbit Air carbon filter broke open, only to have all the little tiny pellets spill everywhere. By contrast, Oreck's sponge carbon will produce no such accidents or mess to clean up.

Did Oreck Hijack Rabbit Air's Suggestion Box?

Honestly, every complaint and dislike I have with my Rabbit Air has been addressed and corrected by Oreck AirInstinct. It's almost as if Oreck stole Rabbit Air's suggestion box, and enacted all the good ideas customers shared. The strikingly similar filters almost have me wondering if these 2 companies are related in some way. Whatever the case, Oreck definitely improved upon Rabbit Air's shortcomings.

Bottom Line Both the Rabbit Air BioGS and Oreck AirInstinct do a great job of filtering the air. And both cost about the same for the unit itself, as well as for replacement filters. But all told, Oreck just looks better, is easier to use, has cool mood lighting that can be turned off come bedtime and has a much smaller footprint than Rabbit Air. All told, Oreck is the clear winner for me.

Best Deals for Oreck AirInstinct HEPA Large Room Air Purifier

I bought this product because of the problem of cigarette smoke coming into my apartment. I use it in my bedroom with the door closed. It works well but it does not remove the cigarette smoke.

Honest reviews on Oreck AirInstinct HEPA Large Room Air Purifier

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program

This is a very deluxe air cleaner, and it keeps the air nice and clean. It says that it filters all the air every fifteen minutes for an average sized room, and I believe it. It kept the air in my house nice, even with a nasty inversion outside.

Automatic mode usually keeps the device silent, and so it's not obtrusive.

The hole in the middle is just for decoration. I thought it was for expelling air, but it's just to make it look pretty. The air intake is on either side, and it expels the air through a vent out the back. The hole lights up with blue or red, depending on the speed of the fan.

Pros:

+Looks very nice

+Silent mode is very silent

+Does a great job in cleaning the air

Cons:

-No ionizer, so it doesn't remove all the smell from cigarette smoke

-The blue lights on the top never turn off, so don't put this in a room that you need totally dark.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I live with a 20 month old, 2 cats, and in the allergy capital of the U.S. And I do suffer from allergies. So we have had many air purifiers over the years. This is one of my favorites. One thing people do not think of is overall cost of ownership for an air purifier. Many lower cost ones are not energy star. This one is. We use ours 24/7 so an energy star rating is a must. Also is how often you need to replace filters. This is a new model so I can't say for certain, but it is rates as 3 years for the HEPA and 3 years for the odor filter. The pre-filter is washable. Not only is that the most impressive I have ever seen in an air purifier but it also means less maintenance on removing the HEPA and odor filter.

Speaking of maintenance, it is recommended to clean the pre-filter once every 2 to 4 weeks and a couple of sensors every 2 months. Not bad at all for a good air purifier. As for how it has operated. My wife has the more sensitive nose. She reports definitely better smelling air the past 2 months and the unit is rated for a big enough space that we have it as our living room air purifier. Pet odors have been noticeably less and an overall fresher feel when she comes in from work. We run it on automatic and the speed does change depending upon activity in the house. Cooking, coming in from outside activate a higher setting. As for noise, it is virtually noiseless in all but the highest mode. In the high mode it sounds like an average sounding small to medium space fan would.

It also looks nice. I really enjoy how the mood light looks, subtle and also useful. It lets you know the air quality in the room. Also of note is a good manual and an excellent laminated quick start guide. You do have to remove plastic from 2 of the filters so do not just plug it in and go. This also gives you an introduction to removing and putting the filters back in. I highly recommend this as I also do Rabbit air purifiers. Frankly the Oreck has much longer lasting filters, looks great, and seems to work just as well if not better. Between the long lasting filters and being rated energy star, this unit will also keep overall cost of ownership down.

Fairly easy to install in the wall mount of an old heater. This is a simple heater, with a single on-off switch plus thermostat all in one control. I would prefer a separate on-off switch, so that heat settings would be preserved if you turn it off at night, and with the controls near the top of the unit rather than near the bottom. Noise of fan seems less than the old one.

Kicks out some real heat at the 4kw level. we put it on a timer and had it come on and off automatically, problem was the fan wasn't allowed to cool the heat coils down enough and then it would trip the high heat sensor. The it wouldn't start back up without hitting it's reset. Bad application for it. The fan has to cool down the coils after the termostat is satisfied.

Received a brand new hearter today! No cost for shipping either to or from the company. Based on the excellent customer service I am increasing the rating up to 4 stars. As I originally reported, the heater works very well at heating my garage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Updated 3/5/11

Contacted Mr. Heater and they had me box up the heater and they had FedEx pick it up at their expense. They say they will send a replacement once they have looked at the returned item.

Updated 2/26/11

I had been very pleased with this heater UNTIL today. I have used the heater several times during the past 2 months. Today I warmed up the garage and worked during the morning then shut down the heater and ran some errands. I started the heater this afternoon and after about about 10 minutes I looked over at the heater and there were FLAMES coming out from all sides and the main burner valve knob was on fire. I ran to the propane tank and got everything shut down Thank goodness I was watching, the rubber propane hose could have easily melted and I would have had a wreck. It appears there was a malfunction on the burner valve that allowed gas to escape and ignite. Now 1 month past Amazon Return time I have to deal with manufacturer warranty. So now I have to mail it in, at my expense, and wait to see if they will stand behind the product. In the mean time I have no heat in the garage.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

I have only had this heater two days. That said, I took it home yesterday attached the propane (that was essentially all there was to set-up) and fired it up on low and it put out a pleasant heat.

This morning the temperature was about 6 below zero and I turned the heater on and set it on high. I let it run for about 15 minutes and the garage had warmed up significantly, it was at least 40-50 degrees and possibly warmer. I didn't check the thermometer (digital one in my car) until after I left the garage. But as I was driving my car away from the garage I noticed the temperature was rapidly counting down at that point it was already down to 20 degrees and continued down to the outside temperature of 6 below.

My garage is detached 30' X 30' with 14' high ceiling, so it was heating over 12,000 cubic feet.

This is a replacement space heater. The previous one was a Mr. Heater Portable Propane Forced Air Heater (jet heater). I was a bit worried with the fact that the new one was convection but that concern was unfounded. It actually heats the area much faster. The convection heater does not seem to put off nearly as much smell as the forced air heater, in fact it was essentially odorless. Although with this first test I did not use a fan to circulate the warm air, I am sure that will improve it's already impressive performance. Unlike the forced air heater, this one does not require an electrical connection to operate so all you have to do is supply the gas and turn it on. One possible drawback would be that I was able to use the forced air heater to thaw frozen pipes since you can direct the heat, and the convection heater won't work for that.

It does make noise as it burns the propane. If you have a weed burner, or a branding stove, that is what it sounds like. The volume increases at higher settings. It was a little quieter than the forced air heater though.

Purchased to heat a 40X65 steel building and has done a great job. Arrived very quickly and I actually purchased two since they were such a great price.

Honest reviews on Mr. Heater MH200CV 200,000-BTU Propane Convection Heater

Ordered through smazon Mr. Heater MH200CV December 13, 2011. Unit was shipped and received timely. Did not have need to install unit until February as the weather here in North Georgia is quite mild this year. I hooked the unit to a 100 lb. propane tank and tried to light the pilot after observing all fittings were tight and the heat control knob was properly positioned. Upon depressing the pilon/safety button, I heard a loud hissing sound indicating that propane was flowing through the lines unobstructed. Immediately I depressed the igniter button several times attempting to light the pilot light...no luck. I discontinued the effort to light the pilot. I tried this several more times to no avail. Finally, I remedied the excessive propane through-put by barely depressing the pilot button...presto, the pilot light with a monstrous flame. In addition the burner was ablaze also without the the burner knob still in the pilot position (fully clockwise). Upon releasing the pilot button the flames were completely out of control. The thing acted as if the burner valve was fully open although it was completely closed. The heater would do this wild activity for a few minutes then it would flame out at which time I would make hasty tracks to shut the gas supply off.

NOTE: The gas flow is so great that the pilot cannot be lit if the button is fully depressed. I could light it only when the valve was partially opened.

This thing is dangerous. I will be in contact with the manufacturer on Monday next. I'm hoping for the best as some other customers with similar problems have had difficulty getting their problems fixed through the manufacturer.

I checked all settings several times and tried to get the unit to operate normally--no luck.

It served its purpose. But for some reason or another, it stopped working. We were building a house and we needed a heater that could give sufficient heat in an under construction building. It did that, but it didn't hold up well. The construction heater got a leak in the on / off valve.

First time I used it one of the rings sprung a leak luckily it is still useable. Also, if your foot size is over an 8, you will have it tough trying to fit your feet in the bath. Not overly impressed with product.

I bought this product for the ease of storing in between uses. It inflated without much trouble, and was pretty sturdy. It would be nice if I could get both feet in at once though. I have size 10 feet and my legs were jammed in so tight that I had to have my fiance help me out of it. Cheap price for a cheap product.

The smartworks soothing inflatable foot spa is nice to have...and travels well. We take it to grandma's to soak her tooties when we visit. Not to hard to blow up. Still wondering about air leaks, but so far so good.

Honest reviews on Smartworks Soothing Inflatable Foot Spa with Air Pump

I bought three once for my friends and I. It's really much more ugly than the sample picture. Mine is air leaking and cannot stand since the first time I use it. My feet size is 6 and just filled it. I think it is hard for most of the adults to use it. My first negative comment.

Love it! But the best part is the pump. I had searched high and low for a good pump and I just found it!

Electric Candle Warmer-Sensible Aroma Reviews

These candle warmer pads work great. You know how the candle never burns evenly and you always have an inchor two of wax left in the bottom, maybe the wick is gone, or the wick has reached the metal and won't light. Put it on the pad and it warms the wax. I have three. But let me tell you, I did not pay $12.99 for them. Thet are really only $3-4 bucks at a craft store like AC Moore, or Michaels. They work great for wax tarts too, just use a left over jar candle that you may have hanging around.

My office will not allow candles being lit anywhere due to fire regulations (even if there are no actual "fire hazards" where the candles would be placed). Also, I have very young grandchildren who would be intrigued by an opn flame. This candle warmer allows me to enjoy the aroma of candles without having to "light" them. It works well for different sized candles. You just need to be sure that the glass your candles is in can be placed on the warming plate. I have had MANY people ask me where I got them (I have several) & they agree that they are really great!

This grill is quite different from other grills in that it is made of diatomaceous earth material (think of a very fine-grained, hard clay). The clay material does not absorb heat readily and thus a small amount of charcoal maintains a hot fire for a longer period of time. I love the grill and highly recommend it. It does not come with a cover or dome. Go to Target or Walmart and buy a stainless steel mixing bowl of the correct diameter, drill a hole in the center, attach a drawer knob, and you have a cover or dome! It's a great product, cooks like a ceramic grill at a fraction of the cost.

This is a fun grill to use. Very efficient. Requires about 8 briquets of charcoal with about 1/2 of those left over to use next time. Cooks meat and vegetables quickly. The portability makes it useful and easy to use anywhere.

This is the charcoal grill I have been searching for at a great price. It is small enough for economical everyday use and rustproof. Extremely high and low heat are both easy to achieve. I just hose out the ashes the next day and am good to go. This unit is heavy and may not travel well. You can broil steaks in a half hour and still do hotdogs in two or three hours with one load of charcoal.

Honest reviews on Fire Sense Small Yakatori Charcoal Grill

Overall, the Grill is OK for this price. The material used to make this grill seems to be authentic--the same material used for the Japanese Shichirin Grill making. However, this one is too shallow--not deep enough to hold decent amount of charcoal. Second, it might be good to note in the instruction that this Grill would operate better if your charcoals are "Bichou-zumi", the Japanese Charcoal used for this type of Grill, especially when grilling Yakitori, rather than regular charcoals sold in the US for regular barbecue grilling. "Binchou-zumi" lasts very long and does not turn into completely ashes in a normal operation. Additionally, "bichou-zumi" creates no charcoal order nor transfers it to your food. I recommend to use a combination these two items to grill perfect, if not, near perfect Yakitori.

Bought this for myself for fathers day and use it primarily for yakitori style cooking, i.e. skewers or kabobs. It has held up nicely through the past 3 months and cooks very well. The capacity of charcoal takes some getting used to as you tend to put more in than you need. The ceramic walls reflect the heat from the coals so minimal coals are necessary and mininal coals helps eliminates the hot spot in the center. Grill is very thin coated wire and requires hard cleaning. Best to find a replacemnt grill with thicker gaugae wire. Cooking capacity is fine, as I can get 8 skewers on the grill with enough space to rotate. Well built and it delivers.

I've had this hot plate for a couple of weeks as of this writing. I use it mainly for cooking rice. Initially, I was bothered by its temperature-cycling (resulting from the heating element's high power and low mass, and the imprecise nature of the low-cost temperature control system), but once I found the right setting, I found that it does a good job on rice, and more quickly than my previous hot plate, which kept a more even temperature but took forever to get up to temperature and cool down.

When it came time to clean beneath the heating element, I realized that the element cannot be lifted, perhaps to prevent it from being damaged by flexing. I found that a flimsy bottle brush can reach most of the area underneath the burner, and that a toothbrush can reach the rest.

I opened it up, and found that it appears to be quite well made inside. The temperature control is mechanical in nature, and it controls the temperature by causing a mechanical change to a bimetalic strip. So, it wouldn't wear out like a potentiometer.

So, although cleaning it takes some effort, I consider it a small price to pay for the performance and quality. But only time will tell whether its apparent quality translates into longevity.

My primary purpose for purchasing this item was to light hookah coals. The coils get hot very quickly and stay hot, since there is no auto shut-off feature like most other models. It has a plug to attach to the wall and has a red light when it is off (when the knob is at 0) and a green light when it is on (when the knob is at 1-5 or Max). I've lit coco nara's in about 5-10 minutes. This is insanely fast compared most methods of lighting coals in your own home.

I've not noticed the counter beneath the coils rising in temperature at all, but the white box is made of metal and does retain heat when the coils are on.

I'm sure this could be used for a lot of reasons. I use it to heat up the coconut charcoals for my hookah, and it works great for that. This range has a variable temperature control and the hottest setting gets REALLY hot.

Honest reviews on Toastess THP-432 Electric Single-Coil Cooking Range, White

Bought this for the sole purpose of using it to light natural coconut hookah charcoals. No Auto-OFF feature like other models. Turn this up and it keeps the heat as long as you need it to. Can't comment on using it to cook with, but I'm sure it serves well in that department. Don't waste your money on buying burners through Hookah/Shisha websites. Go the Amazon route and save...as always!

I've postponed getting a portable electric plate for years because the reviews on them always complain that the plates can't boil water. I need it to make coffee, so it must boil and fairly quickly. Came across this one and was surprised by the good reviews. This Toastess isn't fancy, but it boils the water!
