Ordered three as gifts for people on Pine Ridge Reservation who desperately needed heaters to keep warm. They didn't heat well to begin with. None of the heaters were used full-time, or during the day, and certainly not overnight. In addition, the heaters went to different people. After just over a month's use all three began to smoke and the constant smell made the owners afraid to use them. This purchase was a major disappointment as well as a TOTAL waste of money. They certainly weren't inexpensive. The only reason one star was given is because the system forces one to rate items. Had I been able to give no stars, I would have.

Comfort Zone CZ892 Multi Purpose Shop Heater Review
Should be called a foot warmer not a shop heater. Does not produce very much heat. Have a ceramic heater that produces three times or more of heat output.

Best BISSELL ProHeat 2X Upright Deep Carpet Cleaner, 9200A Deals
This product was easy to put together, easy to clean, and does an excellent job at removing stains. My carpet looks brand new. Yes, this device adequately heats up the water! I was so surprised at how light it is, and how easy to operate. I would recommend this device to anyone that is no longer willing to pay top dollar to have professionals steam their carpet. My high traffic areas due to small dogs and small kids are very clean now.
I have used quite a few sprays, powders, and finally broke down and rented a carpet cleaner from a place that was on my way home from work. That was the worst idea, because their machine somehow ended up making ALL of my things smell even MORE like urine. So, I reluctantly rented a rug doctor from a more reputable source (how sad is it that my neighborhood grocery store is a more reputable source than a vaccum repair shop?), and got to work. I spent literally sixteen hours of the 24-hr rental period canvassing our entire house twice. It smelled and looked great, got rid of the other rug cleaner's pee smell, and most of the spots in our house. There were still a few stubborn ones, which I attacked with some of the enzyme sprays that were highly reviewed on Amazon.
Now, the rug doctor is pretty neat. I'm not gonna lie. I was kind of wishing I could just buy one of those, because renting one every month seemed redundant. So, I got online (amazon to be specific), and started comparing consumer carpet cleaners. I read many reviews, and finally settled on this one, because quite a few people seemed to prefer it to a Hoover. I was going to order one Prime, but then caught my dog barfing up his dinner, and decided I needed one pronto. It's the same price at WalMart, so I drove there post haste and picked it up. I wanted to get the ProPet, but it wasn't in stock, but this was my second choice, and it hasn't disappointed yet.
The unit itself was relatively easy to put together I did it all by myself, no help from the husband at all. No missing parts, nothing backwards, I did not even swear once during the entire process so you've got to know that it's user friendly. I'm not exactly mechanically inclined, but it only took about 20 minutes, which I attribute to the fact that I was watching TV at the same time.
It runs smoothly, and isn't too loud. It's not one where you can watch TV while you use it, but the noise is comparable to our vaccum. I can easily have a conversation over the volume without feeling like I'm shouting. I like that while the clean water bladder is nestled in, it's easy to remove and replace. I've been taking it out each time I rinse the dirty water resevoir, just to make sure that everything is rinsed off and I am completely paranoid of it somehow getting stinky like the vaccum place's machine, so I rinse it out thoroughly. I haven't figured out how to take apart the top quite yet so that I can rinse out the extractor completely, but it looks like it will just require a screwdriver if I really feel the need.
It extracts water pretty well, too as good as the Rug Doctor. The only thing that I view as a bit of a catch 22 is that while it's good at extracting water, it's also good at extracting anything that the vaccum missed. I don't know if that means that I need a new vaccum, but it always seems to have bits of carpet lint and fur that it will leave balled up behind it. That part is nice, because it's not going to clog up the extractor, and the lint balls are easy to pick up, but its still not preferable. Regardless, the point I'm trying to get to is DO NOT use this without vaccuming first. I'm a neurotic vaccumer because our dogs shed like crazy, and while the carpet looks spotless after a vaccum, it still picks stuff up.
I gave this only 4 stars, because I wish that there were more attachments when it comes to the tools. It has a handy little brush, but I was hoping for more versatility. It's also a bit clunky when trying to get it up and down stairs I pretty much just end up dragging the danged thing, but its good for building muscle, I guess. It moves well on carpet, doesn't catch like the Rug Doctor did (we have super thick Berber upstairs), and stores easily in our broom closet.
Overall, it's worth the purchase price. It gets the carpets very clean, manages to catch dirt and hair that I wasn't able to see, and has been instrumental in making my house smell better. I've been using it once a week since I brought it home, save for the 3x the first week to clean up residual pet messes. I've got quite a bit of confidence that it will last for many weeks and many cleanings to come.

I bought this a few weeks ago, and wish that I had gotten it years ago, when I was first thinking of it. We bought and moved into a house a few months ago. The folks who had lived here before us had quite the menagerie of animals, and apparently little concern for potty training them. When we toured the house it wasn't so noticeable to us, but when we brought our own pets (2 large dogs and an elderly cat), it became clear rather quickly that the scents were still noticeable to them. So, they began marking their territory. We'd catch them in the act, clean it up immediately, and didn't have too many problems -until the amount of incidents began growing, and we couldn't catch them all.I have used quite a few sprays, powders, and finally broke down and rented a carpet cleaner from a place that was on my way home from work. Best Deals for BISSELL ProHeat 2X Upright Deep Carpet Cleaner, 9200A
I have 5 dogs which track in a lot of dirt. I purchased the Bissell ProHeat 2X and have used it twice a week for the last two months. It has performed beyond my expectations. Previously I owned a Hoover Dual-V, the brushes and the tanks did not hold up and were very expensive to replace. This Bissell ProHeat 2X is a dream come true for me. I love the roller brushes and it is very, very easy to dump and refill the tank. Make sure you keep the filter cleaned out for the best suction. Easy to clean too!Honest reviews on BISSELL ProHeat 2X Upright Deep Carpet Cleaner, 9200A
Now that I am retired and doing the housework since the Mrs is still working. This is the third time using the machine. Easy to use and change out and empty the water. I use the 2x formula and find the solution does seem to last longer. The carpets look great. One wet pass on clean, 1 dry stoke,1 wet pass on rinse, and 3 dry passes to soak up excess water. Carpets are dry within 3.5 hrs. Clean-up of machine is also simple. I would recommend this unit for cleaning. Finally Momma is happy. What is the ole saying? if momma aint happy no one will be.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for BISSELL ProHeat 2X Upright Deep Carpet Cleaner, 9200A
IT CLEANS GREAT! IT RUNS OUT OF CLEANING SOLUTION SO FAST THOUGH. BISSELL SHOULD OF MADE A BIGGER FORMULA TANK, THERE IS STILL WATER IN THE BLADER BUT IT WONT CLEAN WITH OUT THE FORMULA TANK ONCE IT EMPTYS.Sunday, March 23, 2014
Review of Cork Hot Pad - Rectangular (300X200X10MM)
I was delighted to be able to buy this rectangular cork mat. A few years ago it was possible to get these mats at a local variety store, but they eventually stopped carrying them. I am using mine underneath a ceramic tower room heater which stands on a carpeted floor. The manufacturer of the heater recommended that something be placed between the carpet and the bottom of the heater so as to prevent possible discoloration and this cork mat fills the bill.
I was pleased to receive the shipment promptly and in perfect condition. The size and weight of the mat are also perfect.

I guess you get what you pay for...but I just wanted the ambience of a "flame" in my living room. The heat is a bonus. I was replacing a previous electric fireplace. The flame "effect" has already stopped working, and I've only had it for about a month or so. If I "bang" on the back of it, the flame tries to work, but makes a grinding noise and quits again. My advice is to spend more money and get something a bit better than this.

I purchased this item on Sunday afternoon and it arrived via UPS ground this morning (Wed). I noticed instantly that the unit does not resemble the online or box photo. The handle is very shiny brass and the front door is shiny plastic (like a child's cheap toy#. The rest of the unit is made of thin, shiny metal #again, like a child's toy#. The legs are platic. It took about ten minutes to remove from the box and screw in the legs. It turned on instantly and has been running since #for about two hours). It makes more noise than I had anticipated but it's not overpowering. I am rating this four stars because I have no previous experience with electric fireplaces and I am not sure how what I have described compares with other units. If you are looking for an affordable, small, ambient, supplemental heat source that looks nice from across the room then buy this unit. If you are looking for something substantial or authentic, you will be disappointed.Best Deals for World Marketing CG Bristol Electric Stove
This small stove looks nice, but is very cheaply built. When you open the front door, the plastic bends almost to the point of breaking just to overcome the magnet that holds it shut. The fan is very noisy sometimes, other times it's quiet. The bearings act like they were going out from day one. The flames work.....sometimes. If they don't move, bang the sides and they usually take off. I should have sent this back, but it really wasn't worth the effort after assembling it.Honest reviews on World Marketing CG Bristol Electric Stove
This stove has a great flame and has a more rustic style than other stoves we looked at. It is a excellent heater for a smaller room or apartment.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for World Marketing CG Bristol Electric Stove
I just love it! You can use the fireplace stove with or without heat. This unit heats up my master bedroom without making it too hot. And the fan keeps the heat moving. I used the unit overnight and it still did not get too hot.Tuesday, February 18, 2014

I will start by saying that finally, after installing two of these units in my 1500 sf workshop, I am very happy with them. They cool and heat very efficiently and quietly and there are not many units on the market which have the power and features of this one.
However, it was a long road getting to the happy point I am at now. I initially ordered two of these from Amazon, and they arrived quickly but both turned out to have been damaged in shipping. This is partially the truckers fault but a good deal of the blame must be laid on the manufacturer who does not package this model with sufficient protection to withstand the typical abuse which cartons endure in truck freight. There is is only about 1/2" of styrofoam between the front and top of the unit and the inside of the carton, and no crush space whatsoever. So both units arrived with bent case frames and one also had a cracked front grill piece and bent interior pieces.
Amazon offered to replace them but were out of stock so after some discussion I agreed to keep the least damaged one (I was able to bend the case back into shape) of the two for a discount, ship back the other for a refund, and order a third unit from TheFactoryDepot, one of amazon's resellers.
Well, guess what? The third unit arrived damaged in shipping as well. After much more discussion, this time with TheFactoryDepot, they agreed to allow me to go pick up a replacement at their warehouse which was luckily only about 30 minutes from my home. This unit was undamaged and so I installed that one as well.
We weren't through with our troubles though because the 2nd unit I installed (the one we picked up at the warehouse) soon started displaying a trouble code on the panel and stopped cooling. So we had to call Frididaire to have it serviced under warranty. There 3rd party service company came to the house and repaired it but they had to order a part so this took about another 10 days. Finally, about 6 or 8 weeks after our initial order, we had two working units installed and they have been cooling and heating nicely for the past 2 to 3 months. The remote is great it has all the controls to change modes, and control heating, cooling, thermostat, fan speed, energy saver, timer, etc. This is important to me because my units are installed 7 feet from the floor (to the bottom of the unit), and I have never needed to actually get up on a ladder to fiddle with the front panel once you get the airflow louvers pointed the way you want there is no need for that.
I wouldn't recommend this model at all if there were a lot of alternatives, mainly because of the poor packaging, but if you need a heating+cooling unit this size and you are prepared to potentially deal with returns and repairs then this is the unit for you. I don't say that entirely facetiously once we got all the startup problems solved these are very nice units. If you can find it locally or can pick it up from a warehouse I strongly recommend that as the packaging is very poor. That's the main reason I didn't give 5 stars.
It seems to have a tendency to short cycle but does not seem to hurt it. Doing some research on this issue now.
Would buy another one.
Shipping took a little longer than advertised but was not an AMAZON problem. Trucking company called and advised their truck had broken down and was in for repair.

Love the way this unit works. Really cools the garage quickly after pulling a vehicle in that has been in the hot sun or on the road all day. Love the way the blower runs only at the speed needed to do the job then slows down and shuts off when the set temperature is reached using the econ mode. This should really be a money saver compared to my 20 year old unit that (blower motor ran all the time) gave up the ghost after a lightening strike. It seems to have a tendency to short cycle but does not seem to hurt it. I bought this unit used from a friend who no longer needed a propane heater. I originally bought the heater hoping to supplement the use of the inefficient forced air system in my 1,700 sq. ft. modular home. I was most surprised to find that it not only supplemented my existing heater but replaced it. I now heat the whole house with this one heater at half the cost of operation. AMAZING! I bought four of these and am extremely happy with light performance. They are easy to install and give off great light (you do have to be able to run gas lines though). I did not open the light boxes till after I had them on site, out of country. Mistake on my part. Three of the preformed mantels were trashed out of the four, and one of the glass globes was broken. Since I planned on using the tie on mantels anyway, could care less about the preformed. I'm still going to buy a couple more of these lights.
but have the Paulin and Humphrey
which were the companies that made this
light before. They're awesome lights. I have

They put out close to the same as a 100 watt

like the tie on mantle better than the preformed.

Well, bought this to replace the original lamp in the 71 Shasta Compact I am rebuilding. The fit is almost identical to the original light in the trailer. The lamp housing is of good quality and the gas valve works nicely. Best of all, they are available!Best Deals for Mr. Heater Base Camp Gas Light
We purchased the first of these gaslights for use in a remote cabin with no electrical service. For several years, we used wick-type oil lamps and enjoyed the pleasant yellow-band light. But oil lamps require adjustment, trimming, cleaning, and refilling. So about a fat year ago, we tried one of these propane gaslights. It was plumbed through the wall to an eighteen pound propane canister set in a small enclosure outside the cabin wall. A 1/4" copper tube connects to the lamp through the wall. The lamp lights easily and provides about the same light as a sixty watt electric bulb. The control is basically, ON-OFF, without much effective modulation. The rigid mantles seem to work and last as expected, tho' the manual suggests they are less bright than the traditional tie-on type. The color of the light is amber (similar to the oil lamps), and is bright enough to read small print from an adjacent chair. Propane use appears to be very economical as the original eighteen pound bottle is still in use, although it now serves three of these lights. We use the lamps for a couple of hours about two to three times a week. The lamps light and operate in very cold outside temperature (i.e. 10F)The gaslight produces a fair bit of "exhaust" heat so care must be taken to isolate anything flammable...and to provide fresh air ventilation. With three gaslights going, the Smart Bear cracks a couple windows to replace depleted oxygen, or plan to doze off sooner and longer than expected..Honest reviews on Mr. Heater Base Camp Gas Light
Preformed mantles are fragile and always arrive broken. They do include a different nozzle that uses tie on mantles which is what I used and the tie on is included with the lamp. No biggy really, just tie one on and light it up. Would have been nice to use the preformed but not a deal breaker.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Mr. Heater Base Camp Gas Light

Presto HeatDish - Parabolic Electric Heater Reviews

Comments: My house is not well insulated. I have 20' ceilings downstairs, where I spend most of my evenings, and high ceilings in my upstairs office. Running the furnace during these cold winter days does little to make me feel warm and most space heaters feel too puny trying to heat such large spaces. What I needed at is known as a parabolic dish reflector heater. Despite some overly-zealous descriptions, these heaters are not space-age technology. My great-grandmother had a parabolic dish reflector heater more than 60 years ago. Due to Costco's active in-store displays every year, Presto seems to be by far the #1 model. The selling price has risen to a ridiculous 70 100 dollars for something that must only have about 5 bucks of materials in it. After reading many reviews (see rebuttals below), I decided this was the right choice despite several logical negatives.
Pros: It works. The night before I bought it I shivered and was cold to the bone. As soon as I set it up the two of us sitting about 7' apart in front of the TV felt a comfortable warmth. I stress the word comfortable. Neither too hot nor too cold. If either of us moved a few feet out of the "zone" we immediately noticed we were much colder. This is exactly how parabolic dish heaters work ... they focus ALL of their energy into a relatively narrow cone of heat directed at the people who need to be heated. They are NOT intended to heat entire rooms or houses. Perfect for a small group of people and/or pets sitting in front of a TV (think fireplace, the effect is very similar) or someone working at a desk. At this the Presto (and likely other similar brands) absolutely excel. What makes the Presto different from some of the other brands is that it uses a very traditional heater coil like in an old-fashioned toaster. It is exactly the same technology my great-grandmother's heater used back in the 1950's. Some other models use a halogen bulb like a desk lamp. They are blinding to look at and the bulb burns out every few months. The Presto's coils produce only a soft reddish glow.
Cons: It does not tilt up and down. I can live with it not oscillating from side to side, but the fixed angle is just plain wrong and can't be changed. fixed angle seems to defeat the idea of a focused cone of heat. I think only a 10 percent range would be far better than none at all. The next item is one that confounds almost everyone ... why put a nightlight into the base of a space heater? It simply does not make sense. You can take the bulb out, which many people say they do, but why is it there in the first place? The heater is also just a bit too lightweight. As a heater with the potential of tipping over you would think it would weigh at least as much as a table fan. Presto totally missed the boat on this, thinking for some reason that a very LOUD buzzer if the unit is tipped would be a better idea. Some people hate the buzzer. Personally I think I would rather have it annoy me than start a fire, but a better base design would also not be so bad.
Rebuttals: It seems the #1 complaint is that the Presto Heat Dish does not heat their entire room (or house). This is NOT a whole-house or whole-room heater. It is a specialized heater that is designed and intended to focus an intense amount of heat in a very pinpointed direction and the lowest possible energy use. It will also cause a rise in overall room temperature, but that is NOT the intent or design of a parabolic dish reflector heater. Used properly, this type of heater is nothing short of amazing. Why heat the WHOLE room (like my 20' ceilinged living room) when we are sitting in a small area in front of the TV? As far as the night-light, I agree Presto is totally weird in that area but if you hate it, pull the bulb out and enjoy the heat. The manufacturer states in the instructions that you can replace the bulb with a standard Christmas tree bulb. A dark blue bulb actually looks quite attractive. Another negative comment I have seen is that the unit does not have a carrying handle. Reality is that the carrying handle is the thing on the back that is labeled "carrying handle" and clearly pointed out in the instruction manual as a carrying handle. Other review errors state that it points upward at a 60 degree angle. It really points upward at about 15 degrees, about right for someone sitting in a normal chair.
Summary: It rates a fairly solid 5 despite the fact that the first one I bought had a thermostat knob that did absolutely nothing. No matter where I set it, the thing operated continuously on high. Even if I turned it off, the heater was still on non-stop on high. An obvious defect (what are the chances?). I cringe when I read reviewers that say they got a lemon and will NEVER buy anything from that manufacturer. I can't believe a major brand name is junk just because of one bad apple. Update: The unit was instantly replaced and the new one's thermostat works as it should.
I see this thing in BJ's and Costco all the time, mounted up high on a shelf pointed down, and the kiosk says "Directional Heat! Point Instant Heat Anywhere You Want It!"
So you open up the box and right there in the WARNING is Do not mount on shelf. Do not point downward. Which is exactly what the Presto demo stands do in the store..? They mount the heater on a high shelf and point it down at the customers. Do you think it would be wise to put this on the floor in the store the way it MUST be used at home? You would think that was unsafe, kids would mess with it, people would inevitably trip over it or kick it over.. So the Presto demonstration display disables the safety shutoff switch and does exactly what the instructions say not to do, mounting it high, pointing it down. You'd think that might be one way of using it, since it says "Point Anywhere". False advertising?
The unit HAS to go below you pointed up. Pretty much that means it has to be on the floor. Instructions also say do not use near dogs, cats, children, curtains, furniture etc.. In other words, do not use in typical household environment. Our dog knocked it over frequently because it's just stupid-easy to knock over. Imagine a large standard 3-speed desk fan, only you can just ever so lightly bump into it and it topples over. It's featherlight, unevenly proportioned and topheavy, a trip hazard, and has no base weight AT ALL to stabilize it.
I bought this to warm my dad while he sits at his computer or watches television, intending to place it safely on a clear bureau or dresser to provide ambient heat. Best I can do now is stick it on the floor and bake the tops of his knees. As it was out of the box in our case, it was useless.
There is a large spring-loaded switch under the base, it's easily bypassed. You can do it with scotch tape. NOT RECOMMENDED, but this allows you to point it "anywhere" including a down-angle as the in-store demo clearly does. I built an angled wooden platform, put a brick inside it to add weight, and screwed the heater down. Now I can aim it where I want, and it doesn't fall over. Problem solved.
Aside from the fact you can't really aim it where you want it, it does everything else you'd expect it to. Doesn't get too hot to the touch, provides EXCELLENT heat in the target zone, and saves you a lot of money by quickly and consistently heating a particular spot rather than trying to heat an entire area. Just don't trip over it.
The heat coming out of this HeatDish is very focused to a small area. You will instantly start feeling the heat, in fact so much heat that it literally burns you. At the same time, other areas of the room will remain cold for a long time. Since the HeatDish doesn't have a fan, it absolutely doesn't help evenly distributing the heat. If you need to heat the entire room, you should be able to find a much better heater, one that oscillates (rotates the heating grille) and uses a fan.
The HeatDish is entirely silent while it's on. However, it has a fairly loud rattling noise when it turns on -and in the low setting, it does turn on and off every 15 seconds or so. It is a bit hard to sleep hearing the heater clicking. It's very bright, too: The entire parabola dish lights up, making the room as bright as daylight. I occasionally need a heater that can keep my bedroom warm for the night, for the case the central heater goes wrong, and this is not the right equipment for that.
There's no way of setting the temperature with the HeatDish. You can adjust its power from low to high, but it has little to do with keeping a preset temperature, even approximately. In most cases it's too hot in the evening and very cold by the morning. If there's no one to occasionally adjust the temperature, it will not be very comfortable. For example, it doesn't work well for me as a night-time heater. It doesn't have a timer either.
My HeatDish went wrong after less than 2 years of very occasional use (I normally use central heating, a gas furnace). It no longer turns off, it always heats at its maximum power, so I can no longer leave it alone. You should not draw any conclusions from this -things go wrong sometimes. When it was working, it was regulating the temperature by periodically turning the ceramic element on and off. When it's on, it is very, very hot. There was never a way to lower the actual power of the heating element.
Safety: If the HeatDish is not entirely horizontal, it instantly makes an exceptionally loud alarming sound. You can not possibly tip it over without noticing it. In fact, it is nearly impossible to move this heater around while it's on without sounding its alarm.
Verdict: If you need an instant heater that makes a tiny area of the room super hot in no time, it does the job. It does a dissatisfying job at distributing the heat, even to a small area like a sofa, or automatically keeping a preset temperature.
1) The heat is very strong and directional.
2) Great if you and your significant other are opposites. My heatdish is directed at my wife while I prefer cooler temperatures.
3) The nightlight cannot be turned off. You must remove the bulb if you don't want it on.
4) The heat dish does not have a carrying handle on the back if you want to move it.
5) The heat dish is in a fixed position so you have to set it in the exact position to direct the heat where you want it. It would have been very nice if it could tilt up and down.
6) This does not have an "OFF" switch. To turn it off, you have to unplug it.

"Point Anywhere" is very misleading. As-sold unit MUST be placed in a low spot below the "target". It is ONLY capable of heating at 60 degree angle upward. It is too light to be stable, way too easy to knock over. I think out of the box it is unsafe. I have made modifications to mine.I see this thing in BJ's and Costco all the time, mounted up high on a shelf pointed down, and the kiosk says "Directional Heat! I've been having this product for almost 2 years now. It was designed to direct heat to a small area. Unfortunately I did not find the HeatDish a good heater even for keeping a single person warm. If you direct it towards you, you'll be burning so much, even through your clothing, that it actually hurts. You move just a bit farther, and you'll feel very little warm sensation. What usually happens is that one side of mine is burning, while my other side is totally cold. The heat coming out of this HeatDish is very focused to a small area. Honest reviews on Presto HeatDish - Parabolic Electric Heater
I bought the Presto heatdish because my house furnace has a issue and one side of the house is not working. I have a few larger portable heaters but they just dont do a good job, even the ones with a fan don't put out the heat you would expect out of a 1,500 watt heater. The Presto is great, heat is instant, covers a large area(approx 8 foot wide by 15 foot). I am sitting currently 15 feet away and can feel the heat, I don't have my house furnace on now and it is 30 degrees outside and I am very comfortable and area I am in is probably 70 degrees or more using just this heater. I have it in a corner of my living room(is 20x20) and works perfect letting you sit far enough away to get the wide area heat and not overheat. I do have to watch my dog, she tries to lay right in front of it and worries me since it does get very intense close to the heater. It is very lightweight and at first I didn't think it was in the box, I'd say it weights under a pound. It had the light which I have no use for, but would make a great thing to use outside if you have a motorhome and want to keep the chill off and have a light at the same time. Overall it is a great product, instant heat and uses slot less power than normal portable heaters.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Presto HeatDish - Parabolic Electric Heater

I bought this heater almost a year ago from camping world to have for our motorhome. I brought it in and set it up in the house and started using it, liked it so well that we used it in the house all last winter. I started it up already this year as it has dropped below freezing and it kicked off and runs like new!
We have an older quartz two tube heater and have it toward the back of the house and this wood cased Comfort Glow up in the living /kitchen area. It has been windy and overcast some days and cold at night and the central unit hasn't been turned on yet. This unit and it's remote work well, the fan is smooth sounding with no whines or dragging while starting or stopping and cabnit is wood and very well made.
I am ordering another just like it as it doesn't seem to use much electricity, so we can keep the propane fired central unit from running much this season.
As well as this heater runs starting in it's second season, I feel like it will be running great for many years.
The only con: I had to get used to the digital readout setting as sometime it needs readjusting to get the comfort level set just right.
In all, this unit overshot my expectations and until it proves any different, I would reccomend it to anyone.
