Just used for the first time at our son's soccer game and was surprised how much heat this unit produces. We had several people come sit behind us to try and warm up (which it didn't do) but put out enough heat that within 15 minutes, we turned the unit to low and were able to take our coats off.
Based on the amount of propane used, we should be able to get close to the 30+ hours of operation claimed by the manufacturer. You do need to be directly in front of the heater in an outdoor environment. I would think it would also work indirectly for instance in a garage setting.
Impressed with the performance for the price. 4/5 stars.

RCA 6000 BTU Electronic Windor Air Conditioner with Remote Control Reviews
Assembling the unit on top of a bean bag proved most simple. If you are using a powered screwdriver, be sure to set the torque to it's lowest setting. I let the unit sit upright and flat for close to an hour before I powered it on.
The Foam Tape is most sticky, be sure to have it exactly where you want it in the window trough.
My windows were custom cut, so I was just barely able to fit this unit in, and only needed about half of the screws I was supplied with. Used 2 screws to mount the windows spacers, 1 screw right in the center of the unit to the window, and 1 more screw right above the opening window frame to keep it closed on the unit.
The plastic air directional fins were not seated in their pivots, so I used a pair of pliers and pulled them gently into the holders, making them work nice and smooth.
Foam spacer fills the window gap in nicely, not even noticeable. For the remaining gaps I used AlumiTape.
I can run the unit on high setting for a couple of hours and notice about a 5 degree F. drop in temp right around the unit, but the tin nature of my home continues to raise the ambient temp. I tried turning my furnace fan on only while running the A/C and noticed the entire house starts to cool down more rapidly. Figured out the Furnace had a second circuit and placed a 12 volt toggle switch next to the Honeywell and use it as an A/C boost now. This old home in Alaska can go 95 degree Fahrenheit, but this 6000 BTU unit can bring it back to 80 given a couple hours of running.
The timer on/off feature is real handy in saving power and preparing the room for my arrival. Works in increments of 1 hour delay on or off.
The first month of operation and didn't even notice a twitch in my power bill. Overall while it's running the compressor, it's not as loud as I thought it could end up being. Does tend to vibrate the plastic parts abit while it's cooling.
Won't be long and I'll be removing the unit to store under a bed, think I'll place a 2x4 under the bottom window rail and the unit should sit flat for me. Just want to protect the fins on the back as long as possible.

Bought this unit new and opened straight out of the box; the unit did not work. All it did was blow hot air; the compressor never engaged no matter what I did. I sent this thing back right away. Dont waste your money.Best Deals for RCA 6000 BTU Electronic Windor Air Conditioner with Remote Control
We were really excited when this unit showed up and we installed it in the window right away. We don't know if it's a defective unit or what, but all it does is blow warm air. A good window fan would work better. I called RCA tech support and they are in India. They asked if I'm trying to cool or warm the room! I had just told them it's 90 degrees in the bedroom. Yeah, I'm really trying to warm the room. Then all they told me was that it was maybe a defective unit. Ya think? So I chatted with Amazon customer support and they would have sent me a replacement unit, but it was going to be out of stock until September. Fat lot of good that does me. So I'm returning this unit and ordering a different brand's 6,000 BTU unit that I hope actually works. In the meantime all this unit has done for me is make me suffer in the heat a week longer than necessary. Thanks RCA. Thank you so very much for creating such a "wonderful" product. :(Tuesday, July 22, 2014
Buy Bialetti Hot Chocolate Maker & Milk Frother
Love Bialetti's new Hot Chocolate Maker!
I'm a big hot chocolate fan, and would have to say the best cocoa experience of my life was in Spain. The hot chocolate was much creamier and richer than anything I've tried here in the US. Not having a lot of time to stand over the stove and whisk milk and chocolate together, the time was right for me to get an electric Hot Chocolate Maker.
The benefits of this machine are that it can make just enough for myself or, when there's a crowd it make up to 32 ozs. You set the dial/timer to adjust how long you'd like to heat the cocoa (less time for smaller amounts, more for larger) and bam it's done. I really like that I don't need to stand over and watch the machine until its ready.
You can use regular cocoa powder mix or chocolate shavings/chips with this machine I highly recommend using the real deal. I've been using some Ghiradelli Drinking Chocolate which makes a more intense chocolate drink.
Overall the Bialetti Hot Chocolate Maker was easy to use, easy to clean and gave great results.
Update 08/2010
Well I had to reduce the rating from 4 to 3 stars as I had to stop using this machine about two months ago due to a number of things:
*Inside mechanism stopped spinning and would take two or three (or more) tries of me taking the pitcher off the stand and re-spinning the timer for it to turn on.
*When it would work, I would have to run it twice on the max amount of time to get my chai latte's hot enough
*Started to stain/smell of rotten milk despite continued soakings and washings (never put in dishwasher)
*Leaked a black tar-ish goo from the top of the base--maybe due to melting; I don't know.
I'm not sure if I would buy another one. This one was great at first and then went downhill after much use.
I spent a lot of time reviewing many different machines from $25 to $150. The lower end machines' reviews were poor more often than not ending with problems after 1-2 months. The higher end machines seemed to be just as good as this one. I decided on this machine and LOVE it! The mixing function actually leaves a little froth at the end of the cycle so I haven't needed to use the frother yet. It was trail and error with timing for the first few cups but after that I get a perfect drinking cocoa every time!
The machine is high quality construction and components. The heating mechanism is really even and accurate. The mixing mechanism is really efficient. All of these things together make for an incredible machine.
I am really amazed and pleased. I have already recommended this machine to some other friends who love hot cocoa as much as I do. The price might seem a little bit steep but for me it is worth every penny! Hope this helps........
The shaved chocolate is by far the best; been using Trader Joe's Belgian dark chocolate. It melts completely and tastes so good. Also good for whipping up cold drinks, like malted milk, etc.
Great for making a quick cup in the morning, and the top is easy to clean (not immersible though).
The base does not sit level, it rests on 3 out of 4 legs and therefore wobbles. This actually seems to allow the mixture's side to side sloshing to build up momentum like a kid on a swingset, eventually pushing the lid up slightly and sloshing out of the container in a delicious chocolatey mess that you get to clean up. This is easily fixed by padding one of the rubber feet to level the base. I used a small circle of tape, about 10 layers thick, to pad the short foot. If you love tape, you'll love this feature.
The knob was clearly designed as part of an experiment to produce the most frictionless material known to mankind. They nearly succeeded. As other people pointed out, the knob is one ant-sized step above completely unusable. My fix for this was to wrap a rubber band around the knob and push it all the way to the base of the knob so it doesn't slide off. This is very noticeable and really goes well with all of my stainless steel kitchen appliances.
The unit is insanely noisy. I've heard blenders crush ice more quietly than this thing blends milk. The noise is caused by the liquid container not sitting level or firmly against the base. Again, poor manufacturing. Some part of the container rattles against some part of the base making an extremely loud racket. If you wiggle the container around while it is running you will find a position which makes it almost silent by comparison. I believe this is the position it was meant to rest in, but again the build quality is very poor. I remedied this by placing felt pad circles (the kind you put under furniture) on top of the base for the container to rest on. This raised the container up about 1/16th of an inch but it still makes electrical contact.
The top does not always seal well, but it is usually okay. I may eventually add an o-ring or bead of food-safe sealant around it to fix this.
After these DIY improvements, and considering the reviews I have read on other units, this actually does seem to be one of the better hot chocolate makers on the market. It is not dishwasher safe, which seems to be standard for these machines since the carafe contains a heating element, but it is fairly easy to wash out because the mouth is wide and it does not have any hard-to-reach areas.
Update: I ended up sending it back because after 1 week of heavy use and many washings I just could not get it all the way clean and it began to smell like peppermint and old milk. I think liquid is able to get into but not out of the junction between the heating surface and the rest of the plastic pitcher. Don't buy this piece of crap. Buy the Breville Milk Cafe instead, for details see my review of that.

I've been using this machine practically everyday (sometimes twice a day) for the last month. I use it mainly to make chai lattes in the mornings (to save money from going to SBucks). At night I sometimes use it for hot cocoa. The frother really does a great job and I get my lattes hot and steamed to perfection. I only gave it four stars because one day my latte ended up all over my counter and I still cannot figure out why (no cracks or anything). So I don't know if it was a malfunction or maybe the lid popped up for a few seconds when I wasn't looking. Bottom line: I would buy this exact machine again in a heart beat. At the price of my grande chai latte from SBucks (3.85), the machine has already paid for itself in the first month of use!Update 08/2010

I recently got home from spending a good amount of time in Europe. I've only had this for a month, but so far it is excellent. I love getting to try different variations of hot chocolate and milk "steamers". List Price: $59.99

This fan pushes a *lot* of air in a very narrow stream, and is fairly quiet about it.
* The yellow part pivots at least 180 degrees, as I have rotated mine back so that the air exit is right above the floor (as I'm using it as a cold air return booster fan for our belabored central AC system, which has far more output vent area than cold air return area).
* The cord is very thick, about 6 feet long, with a grounded 3-prong plug; that's good, especially since the fan has two grounded outlets right on it, which have a circuit breaker; they are labeled max 10 amps each.
* The fan has three speeds, and is truly three speeds: I refuse to buy fans that count "off" as one of the speeds.
* The box says the fan has 100 blades, and it's a squirrel cage fan (sucks air in through the sides, forces it out through the front, just like a blow dryer.
* The case is made of heavy plastic and feels solid.
* The fan sounds like white noise, there is no vibration or phasing.
The only downside is that it uses somewat more power than my non-squirel cage 15" fan (a trade-off one needs to consider for the extra airflow it provides). On low, medium, and high it uses 76w, 85w, and 103w, respectively. Whereas my 15" fan uses 45w, 53w, and 65w. (Measurements taken using my Kill A Watt EZ.)

Well, this makes five of these fans that we have purchased and they are great. My husband and I are very hot natured and could never find a fan that really did the job, until we discovered these. They come in two sizes and this is the small one. We have the large one in the garage with our excercise equipment and the others in the house in various rooms. Instead of blowing around hot air it almost feels like it is blowing cooled air. We think they are great. They also do a great job of drying out damp carpet, towels etc.Best Deals for Stanley 655704 Multi Purpose Pivoting Utility Fan
This has proven to be quite a versatle fan. I have used it to quickly dry my wet-mopped floors on high humidity days and to dry rugs after pet accident cleanup. It has been really good as a room fan although a bit noisy since that is probably not its main purpose. BUT, short of standing in front of an air conditioner's cool air vent, nothing feels better than to stand in front of this fan!!The only downside is that it uses somewat more power than my non-squirel cage 15" fan (a trade-off one needs to consider for the extra airflow it provides). My son has 2 desktop computers in his room and it is also the room farthest from the main AC and so it got much hotter in his room than the rest of the house. I did not need something just to move the air around, I needed to actually cool off the room and the solution..... place this fan on 1 of the 2 lowest settings (highest settings are a bit much for indoors) right over the floor vent and it pulls more air from the AC central unit vents without any noticeable effect on the other rooms. It lowered the temperature in his room by at least 5-8 degrees or more (it was over 10 degrees hotter originally). It is a much cheaper solution than buying a AC window unit for his room. We can always use it to dry carpets when we shampoo our carpets also which it does very well (you can use those higher settings). I can safely say it is the best fan we have ever bought and the most versatile by far. Highly recommended.Saturday, June 28, 2014
Buy Comfort Zone CZ792BK Deluxe Milkhouse Electric Utility Heater, Black
purchased heater in the spring. Tried it once and appeared to be OK. Now that cool weather is here, I tried it again and the unit does not work. Unable to find manufacturer on internet to find out where to have it repaired. Unable to find the company or any information about the unit. As I do not recall where I purchased the unit, no where to go to find out about service or warranty.
Would not buy or recommend to anyone.

Purchased in winter of 2009. I use to heat my insulated 20x17 garage, while I work on my vehicles or tinker with projects. It does a fine job. It takes about an hour or so to get the whole garage comfortable(65 degrees). I turn it on the 1500W setting to get up to the set temp, then turn down to 1300W setting and it kicks on and off to keep the temperature where it should be. If you're looking for a unit to keep a garage at a very warm temp(above 72 degrees)or warmer, you better have an unbelievebly well insulated area, and you definately need to spend more than $20. The safety tip over switch works very well has come in handy a few times.Best Deals for Comfort Zone CZ792BK Deluxe Milkhouse Electric Utility Heater, Black
I purchased this heater about 5 months ago before it started getting cold. Once the cold set in I started using this unit and and the first few weeks were fine. About 4 weeks into using the heater it started turning off by itself and turning on again minutes later. Now its to the point where it turns off literally every other minute its on and it stays off for about 10 minutes. Needless to say its not doing its job as a heater and if I could return it I would.Honest reviews on Comfort Zone CZ792BK Deluxe Milkhouse Electric Utility Heater, Black
This heater has an engineering flaw in the thermostat that causes the heater to turn on/off repeatedly when it should be running constantly. Once the heater gets up to temperature it then cycles on/off.Would not buy or recommend to anyone.

After discovering that the method of attaching the Cozy Heater to my wall was with sticky little doodads I decided I needed the metal stand instead. I don't feel like scraping off doodads and repainting my wall every year when I put the heater away for the summer. They make a point of not mentioning the doodad method but the stand works fine. They should include the stand with the heater but then they wouldn't be able to suck another sale and shipping charge out of you if they did. Get the stand right away! That way you won't have the heater propped against your wall for a couple weeks waiting for the stand to arrive.
Still, they do and adequate job, and they are a tiny bit more aestetically pleasing than the included 'legs.'
My advice buy these only after you try the included legs.
