Cheap pt1000 Solar Water Heater Collector Temperature Sensor Thermocouple
I have not worked on my solar water heater before and this was a piece of cake. The sensor was easy to replace and worked perfectly. Would have spent a lot more to have a professional do it and it wasn't hard at all. Just so it.

I bought this for a baseboard electric heater because I didn't want to go to the trouble of mounting and wiring a thermostat in the wall. The first disadvantage is that you have to get down on floor with a flashlight to set and program it. The second disadvantage is that whatever temperature you set it is not what the room will be because it is mounted on the heater. When the heater comes on it warms the thermostat much sooner than the room and cuts the heater off. So to make it work you have to set it much higher than you want the room to be and then come back and reset it after the room has warmed up.
Unfortunately, switching the switch to off completely resets the program, including the time of day! That's right, flipping the switch on the bottom of this uint to off will completely erase the entire schedule that you've tediously programmed into it, using its paltry three buttons while sitting on the floor.
Also, this unit is a very poor fit for the Cadet baseboard heater that I purchased at the same time. And the electronics in this thing probably cost about a nickel to manufacture. This thing is horribly overpriced garbage.
Do not buy!
It only fits Cadet Series F baseboards, so you'll probably end up replacing the one you have now.
Installation is the same as for any on-the-baseboard thermostat (have an electrician do it if you're not familiar with household wiring). Programming is pretty easy. The thermostat's temperature regulation is much better than I expected. I thought the heater would heat up the sensor and mess it up, but the sensor is right at the bottom, and the way convection works is that hot air exits the top of the unit, which draws cold air in at the bottom, and putting the sensor at the bottom of the thermostat assembly does the trick.
The only issues are:
1. Power outages (including a blink of about a second) cause the unit to lose track of what time it is. It still remembers its heating program, though.
2. If you have furniture in front of your baseboard heaters, getting at the thermostat can be a nuisance.
They dont fit all baseboard heaters..

One of the reasons I purchased this was that the on/off rocker switch would be a nice replacement for the old knob thermostat, which half the time ended up getting turned in the wrong direction so that the heater was left on at the highest setting when the intention had been to turn it off.Unfortunately, switching the switch to off completely resets the program, including the time of day! If you have electric baseboard heat and want a digital programmable setback thermostat -and you do, because it will make your rooms more comfortable and save you money -but you don't want to wire in a regular thermostat on the far side of the room, this on-the-baseboard thermostat is the one for you.It only fits Cadet Series F baseboards, so you'll probably end up replacing the one you have now.

The 3405A cadet digital thermostat is eons ahead of the old bimetal cadet switch it replaced! Don't hesitate to replace yours. The new digital thermostat is way more accurate and so it does not over-shoot and under-shoot the temperature. This thermostat will provide you with an even room temperature. Say good bye to the thermal swings... it is just right!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for CADET MANUFACTURING CO Smart Base 208/240V Almond Electronic
These aren't a fix all. No they wont read as accurate as a wall thermostat there lower to the floor. Yes it will take a little more work setting it. But its still better than a twist to set thermostat.Dont install it yourself, Most of you wont BEABLE TO MAKE IT WORK. Hire electrician. They dont fit all baseboard heaters..

I bought one of these Units . The Heater works great, but the service sucks. The fan went out of warranty and they said that
they do not have replacement parts or a manual. I then purchased another Unit. This Unit also had a fan that went shortly after
the warranty was over. I ended up putting a small house fan behind the unit. This worked but not as good, and obviously would not
come on and off as the heater recycled. Get a unit that is serviceable for the money you pay. Will never buy a Dayton again

After lots of reviews and going to my local hardware stores I went with this heater. I'm using it for my detached two car garage. The garage is a couple hundred square feet larger than the recommended size for this heater but it is very well insulated and constructed. So I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be able to maintain the temp or run constantly. WRONG! This little guy is amazing. It keeps the garage at whatever temp I desire and does it without overworking it. It does look a bit commercial but it is being used in a garage. My garage was already wired with a socket for 220 but the plug on this unit was a little different. My local HD store had the right receptacle and it was easily switched out.Best Deals for Dayton 3VU36 Heater, Space, 240/208 V

I purchased one of these humidifiers last winter. At first, I loved it so much I ordered 2 more for my kids. We used them for 3 months and then put them away when we shut down the heater for the season. This winter, however, we've had nothing but problems. The first one started leaking water . (I suggest putting the unit in a shallow container if you have nice furniture, as this happens quite often.) The units were still under warranty so I contacted the company. They tried everything possible to persuade me from returning it. Their solutions to fix the unit were as follows: Clean the unit with lemon juice, only use distilled water, and empty the unit when not in use. I already do all of these things, but I have no idea how that will "repair" a leak. The unit leak so much that it stopped working. I spend $10 to return the unit. A week later someone from the company called to say there was nothing wrong with it so they were sending it back without doing any repairs. Needless to say, since they didn't bother fixing or replacing it, the unit still leaks water and doesn't produce mist.
When the first one broke, I started using one of the others I had. But after just one month of use, that one no longer produces mist. And now the third unit just started leaking water. I'm really screwed now because at this point all 3 units are out of warranty.
Initially, I spent over $150 on the three units I bought. I can't believe Sunpentown refused to do anything about the defective one I sent back. You think they would've replaced it just to keep a good customer. Take my advice: SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! THIS UNIT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY...AND SUNPENTOWN DOES NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY!!!
It has worked incredibly well so far. As an added bonus, I was easily able to wipe it out, put it in my bag, and take it with me to visit out of town family for the Christmas holidays. They have electric baseboard heating, which is extremely drying. I used to keep a regular humidifier there, but I was the only one who used it, so it needed a new filter every time I used it. This portable one worked perfectly!! A few family members were very interested in it, and my mom is even going to order one after seeing how great it worked.
The only thing I can think of that would make it better is if you could use a larger bottle. 16.9 ounces doesn't last very long if you have it on high (does not last through the night). I am curious to try a 20 oz or 24 oz bottle possibly one day. I have had issues with a couple bottles used so far. I think it is because of the cheap, flimsy plastic used. I have tried an Aquafina bottle and a store brand water bottle. Both could be a little difficult getting the adapter on properly. I did find a bottle that works perfectly and seems to be much sturdier (it is 17 oz., so close enough to the 16.9 limit). It is Talking Rain Sparkling Ice flavored water. I will keep a couple of those on hand at the office, home, and my parents' house.
I highly recommend this humidifier for office use, traveling, or small rooms. I'm not sure it would be the right thing for constant use at a house because of the water limitation. GREAT PRODUCT!!!
UPDATE 10/28/13
--------------------
Somebody in my office was commenting on my humidifier, so I went to Amazon to find the link to send them. I just wanted to post an update -I've had my Suppentown humidifier for almost 4 years now, and it still works perfectly. I just started using it again last week, so I do only use it during the cold weather (roughly October through March). It goes through a 17 ounce bottle in about 6 hours. Sometimes it can take close to 8 hours on not so dry days.
Through trial and error, I have discovered the perfect setup for making this humidifier work perfectly every time. I only use bottles by "Sparkling ICE". I tried several different kinds in the beginning, and these were the only type that allowed the adapter to screw on securely and didn't leak. So I stuck with them. I reuse the same 2 bottles (keep 2 in case I don't want to get up immediately when 1 runs out of water). I did get a 2nd humidifier to keep at my parents' house for when I am there, and it still works great, too.
I tried 20 ounce bottles (the Sparkling ICE are 17 ounces), but they immediately leaked. It's too much water pressure for the unit to work correctly. It's going to leak every time. I read some recent reviews, and it seems like a lot of people are having problems with leaking units. It's a shame, because mine works perfectly after the bottle experimentations. I also make sure that the water is not filled completely to the top of the bottle. I fill it to about 1/2 an inch below the neck. Filling it all the way up also seems to create too much pressure and will cause a leak.
Another cause of leaks --if you lift the bottle and set it back down, more water goes into the unit. Also if you move it around, the button will release more water into the unit. This also can cause a leak. If I accidentally do this more than once, I will take off the bottle for a few minutes until some of the water has been used, and I will then set the bottle back down.
I absolutely LOVE my humidifier and wouldn't give it up for anything. It has worked perfectly for my needs for almost 4 years and has kept me from getting bloody noses while at work. I highly recommend it to anybody who wants a low maintenance option for an office, hotel room, or any small room in general. (I've used it at home, and it's not enough humidity for me there for everyday use.) Just try the water bottle options that I've explained, and I think you will be more than happy with this.
~ Quality manufactured (in China)
~ Variable vapor output
~ Automatically shuts off when out of water
~ Compact bedside table size
~ International voltage ready
~ Includes two bottle adapters
CONS:
~ Has a bright blue light that *could* be too bright for some users
~ Noise level is low but *could* be too noisy for some users
I'm hypercritical about manufactured products but this was quite a surprise. I did not give it 5 stars because there is no way to turn off the bright blue light that shines through the vapor nozzle. If you can live with that you won't be disappointed.
You don't need a lot of water. You don't need to humidify the whole room...just the area near your head. This unit is almost amazingly SMALL. Quiet. Convenient. I bought distilled water from the supermarket, store it in the bathroom and fill a 16 oz water bottle every other day. It was never practical to use distilled water before, in the usual gallon humidifier tank, even though it is recommended. Who wants to buy/cart that much water?
This little beauty does the job. Lots of cool mist. In fact, on the high setting, it can soak the pillow case, so I keep it at about 1/2 setting. Every morning I take off the nozzle and top, pour out the remaining water and let everything air dry during the day. The bright light in the well was a problem, but I took a suggestion from this site and put a small piece of black electrician's tape over it. This doesn't seem to effect it's function at all, but I do wish the manufacturer would address this issue, as it is the main complaint.
I recently traveled with it, and it was great. Of course, it has helped through the winter cold season and the spring sinus season. Highly recommend it. Great product.

I travel frequently and, while working on a job, my old travel humidifier kicked the bucket. After much internet searching, I found this nifty little device. First off, it's MUCH smaller than you think-slightly larger than a large box of 250-ct matches. Insert a water bottle, plug it in & you're set. Easy to clean & carry with you, the thing I love most about it is that if it runs out of water, it stops on it's own. It puts out a large amount of cold humid air for it's stature, but unfortunately it struggled against the incredibly dry air in the Minneapolis hotel room where I was staying. My recommendation would be to run the humidifier all day while you're gone with the door closed to your room and see if that humidifies the space more effectively.Best Deals for Sunpentown SU - 1051 Mini - Humidifier
I initially purchased this portable humidifier to use at the office. It is extremely dry, and I had been getting dried up bloody noses from the dry heat. I was searching for a filterless humidifier, because I did not want to worry about filters get mildewy and gross, especially from not using it over the weekends and holidays. I also wanted something that would be easy to put away in a cupboard when I left work. I've always used humidifiers in the winter season. The huge, heavy tank, the cleaning, ugh! This heater based on it's btu's immedately heats a 2 car garage. Within 8 minutes of ignition you can be comfortable with a sweatshirt or long sleeve flannel. The standard gas grill (20lb) tank lasts me about a week and a half if I am out there for 3 or 4 hrs a night 6 nights a week. You do turn it off and on intermittently about every 30 minutes if you have drafts like I do but that's not too bad. I would prefer permanent heat but for someone on a budget for the heater and the fuel it's a great alternative to permanent heat. Plus you can bring it to a jobsite if needed. I have heated a 2000 sq ft 2 story house during rehab processs comfortably with this heater. Almost too small for that but plenty good for the conditons there and at home. Happy with the heater and it only costs 15 bucks to fill the tank.
I would definitely recommend buying this product.

Heats well but not good for a shop with metal shop tools. Too much moisture in the Propane for un-vented heater. Doesn't take long for rust to appear on the tool surfaces. This would be true for any un-vented heater running on Propane.Best Deals for Mr. Heater Portable Propane Forced Air Heater - 30,000-55,000 BTU
I used this heater outside for 7 hours straight and I pretty much burned thru the entire 20# tank at full throttle. It did a great job. I did notice that at full power, the tank really iced up and seemed to reduce the heat output as the fuel level dropped. The height adjustment setting is convenient too. It held up fine in a breezy conditions. It was raining heavily and I operated under an EZ up awning. The heater got pretty wet from indirect rain. After two days of these conditions, I did notice that several of the exterior screws that are also painted black showed signs of rust. The manual did say to not let it get wet while it was operating. The ambient air temp was between 45 and 50 and while others around me were in jackets, I wore a t shirt.Honest reviews on Mr. Heater Portable Propane Forced Air Heater - 30,000-55,000 BTU
I have a partially insulated two car garage in Colorado. With the outdoor temp. showing at 19 deg. my garage went from 38 to 60 in about 30 minutes. It's a great little heater and easy to store. I like the fact the housing stays cool to the touch even after long operation. On the low setting it just sips propane and that's also a huge plus. I have owned Mr. Heater products for years. I still use the single tank Mr. Heater that I have had for 20+ years without no problems. This forced-air heater is used in my 24x26 detached garage. It brings the temperature up 20-25 degrees in less than 30 minutes on the low setting which sipps the fuel at a lower rate. I then turn it off and turn it back on when the temperature starts to dip. Amazon shipped my product to me in a couple of days after ordering. Super fast shipping plus great price.I would definitely recommend buying this product.

Buy Waterpik Ecoflow Hand Held Showerhead
Customer Ratings:

Sale Price: $26.46
Today's Bonus: 15% Off

--In large bold lettering, the outside of the box says, "3 Settings + Water Pause". There are NOT three settings. There are only two: spray or pulsating. The so-called "third" setting is achieved by sliding the ring tab somewhere in between the two notches, according to Waterpik customer service. The result is a wimpy, weak version of both combined together.
--There is no "pausing" of the water when using the "water pause" toggle switch. The water flow is simply diminished to ½ gallon per minute. Waterpik designed the shower head so that the switch is accessible only if you are holding it at chest level, or below. If you are washing your child or your dog (or both together) in the tub, this is a great feature. If YOU are the one taking a shower, and you have it parked in the holding bracket on the wall above your head, the switch is next-to-impossible to access. You then have to lift and lower the shower head off the bracket, each and every time you want to reduce the water flow.
--Every part of the shower assembly is designed to appear as if it's made of a durable metal. Well, it's not. Everything is made of cheap plastic or soft rubber. All of it.
2/10 Update: An additional misleading statement on the package is described in the "Comments" link, below, by "jor1228". Do read it.
If you want a very low-flow handheld showerhead, and you aren't looking to spend to much money or get anything too fancy, then get this. It's a nice, basic, effective showerhead.
I liked the Delta aerating shower head, and I mounted it onto a flexible extension arm in the shower. It gives you a harder, more efficient, aerated shower than this.
Bad Only 2 settings. The pause button doesn't work on mine. Overall, the handle does feel a little cheap. It is light and feels like it could break easily.

--Every part of the shower assembly is designed to appear as if it's made of a durable metal. Well, it's not. Everything is made of cheap plastic or soft rubber. All of it.

I like this showerhead. After looking around, I'm pretty sure this is only handheld 1.5 gpm (well, this and the more expensive model by waterpik) showerhead, so I wasn't expecting much with the lack of choices. But I was pleasantly surprised. I can't tell the difference between this one and my old 2.5 showerhead on the normal setting. Really, it doesn't feel too light at all. I like the combination pulse+regular setting. Also, unlike a prior reviewer, I don't have any problem adjusting all the settings while the thing is still in it's holder (this is probably dependent on how high it's mounted vs how tall you are). The showerhead does seem a little cheap, with the materials and the fact that the 3rd setting is just putting the dial between the two settings (couldn't they have made a nice little click?) but it's not that expensive and it will save a bit of water. The water "pause" is a little weird. It drops the water flow to about half. I think a truly water-saving nut could still shower with it "paused". I think it's set that way for tankless water heaters, which turn off when the flow does, so you'd get cold water if it actually paused. If you want a very low-flow handheld showerhead, and you aren't looking to spend to much money or get anything too fancy, then get this. It's a nice, basic, effective showerhead.

I didn't care for this at all. Yes, it reduces the water usage, but you use more water just trying to take a decent shower!I liked the Delta aerating shower head, and I mounted it onto a flexible extension arm in the shower. It gives you a harder, more efficient, aerated shower than this.

These water savers will never dispense high volumes of water which is why they save water and energy. This one delivers plenty of uniformly dispersed spray. They have a lifetime warranty. I have two of them and they both function perfectly. If you want a low cost option for a water saving shower, I would strongly recommend this shower head. I am a two time purchaser and I bought them years apart. That says something.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Waterpik Ecoflow Hand Held Showerhead
Good Nice water pressure even though it's only 1.5 gpm. Very comfortable effective showerhead.Bad Only 2 settings. The pause button doesn't work on mine. Overall, the handle does feel a little cheap. It is light and feels like it could break easily.

This thing got mixed reviews. We are in a heatwave here in SoCal(upper 90's)and this bad boy does it and more. Keeps a 1200 sq. ft. house cool. Quiet and easy set up. It really does what it is designed to to. Top notch.
Also the attachment to the hose is a little tricky. With the LG, the attachment brackets on the hose between the window kit and the machine spins freely around the hose itself so you can hook the outside vent hose up directly to the machine very easily. With this machine the hose attaches like a screw. The whole hose has to rotate to screw it into the back of the machine. This is a problem because the other end of the hose screws into the window kit as well, the opposite way. So as you start to screw the hose into the machine it gets unscrewed from the window kit....confused yet? It just really annoying because you have to basically attach the window kit, then spin the hose and the entire window kit into the back of the machine before placing the window kit in the window.

I did not try the heat function but was not very pleased with the cooling function. I set the thermostat function for 69. The current temp in the room was reading 80 degrees. I let the machine start to run, closed the bedroom door, and checked back in an hour. It had only gone down to 78 and the fan speed had already slowed. I turned it off and then turned it back on and reset it again to 69. I let it run all night and when I checked it the next morning it still only got down to 72 degrees. I have a similar sized LG machine in another larger room and it will cool the room down in 15-30 minutes. Although I did find this one to be slightly quieter than the LG, I would rather it be a little louder and be more productive in getting it to cool. Also the attachment to the hose is a little tricky. Disappointing! I thought I did a good job researching this product. Very loud and almost impossible to watch television while this is running. I will say during the day it keeps about 1,000 square feet comfortable at below 80 degrees.Honest reviews on NewAir AC-14100H Portable Air Conditioner & Heater
I enlarged my flower shop & the windows were too small for a window unit so I research about a unit of this kind & was hesitant about ordering but surely very pleased I did. I never comment much about items I order but this air conditioner is well worth the money. I'm very pleased with my purchase & would recommend to anyone.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for NewAir AC-14100H Portable Air Conditioner & Heater
got this for my tenants to cool part of the first floor and heat the finish basement in the winter. two weeks into july compressor go already. Amazon gave full refund witch was great. I felt that a 8000 btu window unit does a better job with ac compared to this 14000 btu unit.
