This is the second order for the same model thermostats. The first was correct and is working as expected. The second order though for the same model, had a lower model shipped. The outcome, my heat did not work for a couple of weeks while I wrestled with the manufacturer who is not customer oriented. I will reuse the ETD620W1 shipped in small rooms and try to get the correct ETD620W2 model shipped this time. This could have been a catastrophe.

Our gas bill for heating our trailer was $300 a month, here in Wisconsin for the last 3 months. We bought TWO of these (only two!) and turned our gas furnace's thermostat down to 50 and then put one of them in the back and one in the front of the place. I don't know why people are saying the heating area is small? Maybe the fan isn't blowing much, but the two little heaters we got have actually kept our WHOLE place around 70 degrees.

Okay so yeah, I guess there was a smell when we first turned them on, but that quickly went away.

For as little as they cost I'd have to say they are definitely worth the buy. The cost in electricity is STILL far less than what we were paying for our gas bill.

I recently discovered the source of the smell. The plastic nearest to the ceramic element is melting. This is not quality work and now is a potential source of a fire. I am currently holding on to it waiting for a recall.

I have pics if anyone would like to see the melted plastic on the heater.

I returned the HCH4051 I got to go under my desk. It was a handy size, and I could probably have dealt with the rather high noise level, but I couldn't handle the smell! Even after running it full-bore for HOURS outside, it still gave off a nasty chemical odor. It smelled like pesticide, like 2,4-D or something. That was unacceptable.

Honest reviews on Holmes HCH4051-UM Compact Ceramic Heater with Manual Thermostat

I have to say that I was very disappointed in this. Unless you are less than a foot from the heater you aren't going to feel any of the heat that it produces.

This could never be a main heat source or be used to heat a room. This is more like extra heat in an already heated room. I find that in my office, even if the room itself is heated, my feet will get cold under my desk so this would be perfect for that purpose.

It's small and you could fit this anywhere like on a crowded desk or dresser which is really convenient. I keep a small fan on my desk at work at all times and I can do the same with this if not for the fact that it's so loud. It is very loud especially considering the small size.

To be fair, I've noticed that if I shut my bedroom door while this heater is on, I wake up to a warm room even if I went to bed cold. So it basically takes 8 hours to heat a 15x15 room but only if the door is shut to trap the heat.

If you are looking for a very small heater to heat a whole room, I would recommend a 10 inch Vornado heater. I didn't realize how good it was until I tried other heaters. The Vornados are amazing, amazing heaters. They are quiet and the outside of the unit is well made. The problem with them is that the heating element is extremely fragile and the 2 I bought both died after just about 3 months of use.

My search for the perfect heater is still going. With the Holmes heater, it is really well made, a convenient size, but it doesn't heat well. The Vornado heats well but the heating element is very cheap and unreliable.

At the end of the day, I regret purchasing the Holmes and am unhappy with it so I can't recommend it. I would highly recommend the Vornado if not for the defective heating element that dies way too quickly.

I've had this heater for just over 3 years, and it works pretty good and heats my 10x12 room up quick, but the knobs are made from cheap plastic. One of the knobs broke after about 2 years, and I've contacted Holmes about 4 times now and no one there seem to know what the heck I'm talking about and they just keep referring me to different numbers. My heater is the exact same style as this, but it says 'Titan' instead. But the warranty card states that it's manufactured by Holmes. This frustrates me to no end, to have a heater w/ a 3 year warranty, but have the manufacturer say that they don't have the model in their system and that they can't do anything. They don't even seem willing to help in figuring the problem out. Don't you love mega-corporations. The thermostat is touchy too, and is hard to set for a particular temperature.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This heater is quite small compared to my other area heaters. It measures roughly 12 x 12 x 10 so it's rather tiny. That's a good thing because it gives you a lot more flexibility on where you can use or store it. Its size might make you assume that it won't put out much heat but that would be an incorrect assumption. I have two other area heaters that work really well but they are about 2 to 3 times as large as this heater. Both of my other heaters are louder than this one as well. This heater is very quiet for the most part. The only annoying part is the sudden clicking noise when the thermostat turns it on automatically. It tends to scare my dogs a little bit but other than that it's no big deal. You can choose from either the black or white finish. I have the white finish and the outside is painted metal that is strong. It reminds me of the outside of a washer or dryer. It should be very durable and last a very long time. The blade guard is designed so little kids can't get their fingers far enough inside the fan to hurt themselves. The exterior of the fan is designed not to get too hot so kids won't get burnt on it. It's a heater so it's going to get warm but not hot enough to do any real damage. It has a heavy duty power cord that is about 5 feet long. On the top of the unit there is a small LCD screen and buttons to turn it on or off, adjust the temperature or control the speed. It has high, low and fan only modes. Around the LCD screen there is chrome trim that looks nice. There are many uses for this heater. You can use it to heat one room or one level of your house. I have used it while working out in the garage and it even put out enough heat to warm my garage up very quickly. It might also be good in an office setting. In the instructions it says only to use it on the floor but I really don't see any reason why you couldn't have it on a shelf as long as it was sturdy. This fan has two different safety mechanisms built-in. First of all if a curtain, blanket or any other items where accidentally block its airflow then it will automatically shut off. If this heater were to accidentally be knocked over then this heater is supposed to shut off as well. These are important features to have if you have children or pets that might knock it over. It has a timer so you can turn it on and have it automatically shut off in 1 hour increments between 1 and 9 hours. One of the best options of this heater is the vortex technology that circulates the air / heat so much better than the average heater or fan. I really agree that this little heater can effectively heat my entire downstairs. It distributes the heat much better so it's not roasting hot by the heater and freezing in the rest of the house. I would highly recommend this heater to anyone but I will say that the price is a little on the steep side. You will however receive a 5 year warranty this a lot better than the average 1 year warranty that most products come with. There is certainly a lot of value in an extra 4 years on the warranty. You will have to decide for yourself but over I think this heater is great and a little on the pricey side but the extra warranty helps me justify the price. You may think that the warranty isn't a big deal but what if the heater decides to stop working after 18 months. I like having the peace of mind knowing it will at least last me 5 years or they will replace / repair it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program it is a nice looking quality compact unit. it uses vortex circulation to disperse the warm air around the room to make it more comfortable. made of metal it resists heat build up and stays slightly warm to the touch. it's safety features include a fire resistant metal housing, a nonglowing heat element, automatic tip over protection, and an automatic safety shutoff system built in. it is a husky and attractive heating unit and looks well made. indoor use only and the cord length is 72 inches with 16/3 gauge wire. it uses 1500 watts max and comes with a 5 year warranty. i like it because it fits my room situation and it works economically saving me money. it comes with two heat settings and a fan only setting.

Best Deals for Vornado TVH500 Whole Room Vortex Heater

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have owned several models of Vornado heaters including the grey color of this model. This model is white and trimmed in chrome. It comes without a remote but the other color of this same model does come with one. I have one encounter their their customer service several years ago and it was outstandingly perfect. This heater is reasonably quiet and heats my room very evenly. As I own the other model of this heater I did find that the remote sensor is still built in this model. I am sure one can buy the remote as an accessory if one decides that it is needed. Some folks just set it and never use the remote. It is just a personal choice.

In some ways this model is a real beauty in its white and chrome trim. Highly recommended.

It is built like a premium product it is!

Honest reviews on Vornado TVH500 Whole Room Vortex Heater

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I really wanted to like this. I could really use a good heater for my house, since heating costs so much in the North. But, this was a mixed bag.

First, it does blow warm air, which is nice. But only directly in front of it. If you are off to the side outside of a 30 degree or so cone, you don't get moving air that is warm. You get moving air that is COLD. I mean, c'mon people! It's winter time! Why would I want a fan?!?

Second, the thermostat is weird. I set it for 72 and put it on high. The room temperature was 57. Within a few minutes, it told me that the room temperature was 61. I thought, "Pretty good!". Then, the air coming out got noticeably colder. Eventually, it got chilly. It would go on to become warm again, then cold again. And I was left wondering what was going on.

On the up side, it is relatively quiet. That said, I'd prefer a heater with a very quiet fan that blows less air, and that doesn't make me cold if I am not the lucky person who won the coin flip and got to sit directly in front of it.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Personally I have very large vaulted ceilings, so using space heaters saves lots of money. Instead of trying to heat the whole house, I mostly just place the heater in the rooms I frequent the most shutting off spare bedrooms, etc. In the living room with the highest ceiling, I was hoping to use this as a new heater. When I got home the house was very cold 65 degrees. I plugged this heater in & put on the side of the room blowing toward the center. Surprisingly about 10 minutes later I realized the heater had turned itself off. The thermostat on the heater was reading 75 for heat & room 75... which is was far from. I checked the thermostat in the hall, it said house was 67 (merely on the other end of the same room). I unplugged the heater & plugged it back in, now the thermostat said the house was only 70 and the heater started up again. After another 15 minutes, off again. This was starting to get annoying. I tried extending the heater as far away from the wall as possible, the length of the extension chord (4 foot), hoping that would keep it from recirculated its own heat (me thinking that was the reason the thermostat was being tricked into reading a higher temp). Still after about 15 minutes, it was off once more showing 75 while standing less than 10 foot from the heater & feeling cold. Finally today it was running good & stayed on all morning, but not sure if the problem is fixed or just on hiatus. Either way, for this money I'd expect more. Sure it's quiet & the heat coming out is warm for such a small heater, but I want more than that for this kind of money.

These panels fit perfectly in both the fan driven and passive humidifiers in our home. They are identical in appearance to the branded items at the local home improvement stores and work perfectly at a price that eliminates any reluctance to change them out whenever. Water in warm air is an obvious mold environment, so I am inclined to change them out fairly frequently. We also have fairly hard water (recently dealt with via a softener) and the pads stood up to the mineralization as well as any pad from local retailers. No leaks and no issues. Perfectly adequate product. I have no hesitation recommending it. One suggestion clean the plastic frame diligently to remove any mineral or bacterial contaminants and these will show little of either for a respectable period of time thereafter.

Easy install (did it myself) and bought an extra or 2 for the future. I ruined the previous filter by accidentally "washing off" the coating on the filter.... That isn't "build up" or hard water deposits left from use, it is supposed to be there to help with the water absorb and distribute the water to the humidifier more evenly. Don't do what I did...

I recently installed this heater in my garage and I live in the cold state of Minnesota. This heater doesn't provide any more heat then a standard heater even though it is 5000 watts. I had to put a 240 volt, 30 amp circuit in to run the heater. The heater is ok but nothing special.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The product apears well built and worked very well for about 24 months. Now the higher wattage element is burned out on both heaters so they only work on low. They both burned out within a week of each other which makes me think it is a manufacturing problem. It is an extremely expensive heater and a very expensive repair. I plan to buy another brand for less than the cost of the repair. Thanks Cadet.

Best Deals for Cadet 5,000-Watt Portable Garage Heater

I just ordered a second CADET RCP502S The Hot One, for my garage shop. Superior to every other small heater that I investigated. Excellent engineering. Having two settings makes it very versatile. For a larger space I use the high wattage setting to reach the temperature I want, then reduce the wattage to maintain that temperature the thermostat works. And it is way the best looking garage heater.

Honest reviews on Cadet 5,000-Watt Portable Garage Heater

I like this heater and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good, reliable electric heater.

My garage is just over 500sq.ft. and uninsulated. It takes the chill out of the air from about 40 degrees F on up. Below that, don't look at it helping much unless your garage is insulated. It's helped me get a lot of things done when it would be too cold to otherwise.

Ok, I should have read the description more thoroughly before I purchased this. We predominantly eat brown rice and there are no settings or water levels on this rice cooker for brown rice. On the occasional times we eat white rice, it has cooked it fine. I would be nice to have a spoon rest on the side somewhere.

I was looking for a light-weight rice cooker for oversea travel (i.e., 220v) and this product seemed to be only one available in U.S. I brought it with me to Germany three weeks ago but after 5 uses it stopped working. I tried hard to diagnose the problem myself but could not figure out what's wrong the light would still go up but it just no longer heats up. This really sucks. I don't know who is to blame the product itself or the distributor (I bought it from Bombay Electronics. They shipped me an Arabic version even though the original web page said it has English manual...)

This heater is AMAZING! Its around 40-50 bucks and works great. I reccomend it to anyone! The remote control is awesome, you can pick high or low the machine rotates if you want it too. My first one lasted 2-3 years and it died and I ran and bought another one. Even if it only lasts a year its WORTH it, since I keep it on all day (well not when I am at work) but at work I have one as well. This Heater is the best by far and trust me Ive had my share of heaters. Its also pretty cool looking :)

This is mainly a review on the manufacturer-Lasko. Over the years I have bought 2 Lasko model 6350 heaters. I paid $50 at Target for them. One heater was bought for my girlfriend 3 years ago. She has used it heavily as a supplement to heat a bath/closet/single room area and it has worked great. We liked it so much I bought another one for my parents for their RV. They visit us in the winter, and we get a lot 10-20 degree nights even here in TN, and it will heat their 37' RV which is poorly insulated. After one season, my parents heater quit working-wouldn't even power on (1.5 years after purchase). So I called Lasko and they asked for the batch number on the back of the heater. FYIthey picked up on the first ring, no automation, and spoke English. Apparently some of these units (6350) have a bad power control panel. They had me cut the cord, mail it to them w a copy of my receipt, and a brief description of the problem. Five days later I received a new unit, put it together, and it works fine. In a era where customer service is horrible, I was very pleased at how they handled the problem. Yes I know normally a product that stops working shouldn't get a good review, but I feel good about this product and manufacturer since unit num one is going strongand the fact that Lasko stands by their product says something. One thing I will mention about these pedestal type ceramic heatersthese things really put out the heat, but if you have toddlers stumbling around, the grille does get hot but I don't think so hot that it would burn a child alive and do permanent damage. Wouldn't feel good I'm sure but relatively safe. We really love these heaters, they are very quiet and efficient. Hope this helps.

Best Deals for Lasko 30" Tall Digital Ceramic Pedestal Heater with Remote

This is a pretty good heater with bang for your buck. It does not tip over easily (like some people say) unless you deliberately push it over. I love the remote, I can sit at my comp and control the heater from several feet away. Only con is that it won't warm up your feet-since it is on a pedestal meant to give comfortable seat-height warmth.

Timer is great. Temp control is nice, only every time you adjust, you have to adjust hi/lo again. Its a good buy, trust me. I'm going through 45 degree bay weather and this helps.

Honest reviews on Lasko 30" Tall Digital Ceramic Pedestal Heater with Remote

I just purchased this heater (from outside vendor). My previous Lasko heater finally gave up after about six years of seasonal use. I really liked the previous heater, so I got another Lasko. Unfortunately, this one has absolutely no tip control. My old heater was more stable than this one to begin with (pedestal makes it more prone to tipping) and if you tilted the old heater more than about 10 degrees it automatically shut off. This was a great safety feature. THIS Lasko heater can be tipped over onto the floor and will still continue cranking out heat. I am returning it.

I bought this stove as a gift for a friend who has a tri-level house, in the winter it is quite cold in the lower level where the big TV is. Right out of the box we plugged this little stove in and within a short amount of time the room was quite toasty! The remote control is great to just shut it down when it gets too warm! The flames look incredibly real. No need for the heavy winter sweaters and blankets anymore to watch TV! Great little stove, easy to move from room to room, very realistic flames, extremely quiet with lots of warm air coming out! The unit itself does not get hot nor does the surrounding floor! This kettle is everything you could want! I use it mostly for french press coffee, but my guests have used it for various kinds of tea, instant oatmeal, or hot chocolate with great success.

I did a lot of research on these kettles, and I found that the one thing to avoid was kettles with plastic insides. Every single one with plastic innards had comments about plastic taste in the water. Stainless and glass interiors didn't have this problem, but glass was more susceptable to scale buildup. So I went with stainless. There aren't many of these kettles with stainless insides, and the ones there are are generally more expensive. I looked at the Breville and some others, but they were simply too much money. This one, while not cheap, offered a great feature set, accurate temperatures, stainless interior, good controls, unobstrusive base, and pretty nice aesthetics.

The kettle is easy to fill, solidly built, and heats water very fast. It finishes its heat cycle with an authoritative BEEP that I can hear from the next room as I watch Sports Center. Another bonus is that even once it has reached temperature, it will keep the water at that temperature for up to 30 minutes, so if I'm busy doing something else, my kettle can wait until I get there, and my water isn't too cold or too hot! The most important thing about a good cup of french press coffee, besides the beans, is the temperature of the water.

The base is very minimal and you don't even notice it when the kettle is sitting on it, it looks like one piece of the kettle. The controls are easy to reach while holding the kettle by the handle, and the little LED light on the water level indicator is bright and helps you see the water level in a dimly lit early morning kitchen. It also automatically shuts off after a bit if the kettle heat has been turned off. The kettle will turn off automatically after a certain amount of time, but it also is easy to turn off once you've poured out your needed water by pressing the "keep warm" button again.

Cleaning is as easy as making a water/white vinegar mixture and letting the kettle boil for 10-15 minutes, then rinsing it out a few times. This removes lime scale deposits and calcification.

For the build quality, looks, features, and performance, I can't rate this kettle high enough! Look no further!

UPDATED entire review on 9/12/2013 (Originally purchased and reviewed on August 2010)

We've owned Krups FLF2-J1 electric kettle for about 4 years and while it was doing the job I was desperately looking for something with selectable temperatures until I saw newly released CPK-17. While there were no reviews available at the time of the purchase I decided to try it out anyway and I was perfectly satisifed from the first cup of tea. We've been using it for over 3 years now and still enjoy the kettle as the day we got it. There is no rust on the kettle and all functions are working. It needs some cleaning, but that's a personal choice.

What I like:

Selectable temperatures. This was main feature why I bought it on the first place. I don't ever boil the tea, I prefer 175 degree setting and no more burning tongues!

There was no smell when it was brand new

Stylish looking even after 3 years I still like the look of it

Fits a cup more then a previous Kettle I had, but I rarely fill it up

Blue led when in operation

Surprisingly quieter then I thought it would be

Beeps when ready

There is a setting to keep water wamr for 30 minutes

Faster tea preparation when selecting lower temps

Cap opens with a push of a button

Neutral:

It is on the pricy side, but you get what you pay for, it's solidly build and looks stylish, plus it's been working for 3 years with daily use

Some plastic there, but not too much

Not so Great:

They didn't make one 10 year ago, not really a con, but you know...

Stains easily

Best Deals for Cuisinart CPK-17 PerfecTemp 1.7-Liter Stainless Steel Cordless

I did pretty extensive research before buying an electric kettle. The CPK-17 appealed to me on a few different levels. I liked the design, the materials used and the functionality. Although it's nice to have the option of different temperature settings, it's really only useful if you drink a lot of tea, which I don't. I generally use the "French Press" and "Keep Warm" settings, and there's also a Boil option (which is the next setting up from French Press). On the design side, it's a great looking appliance made from mostly stainless steel. Of course a big concern of mine is the use of BPA-leaching plastic in many kettles on the market, but there appears to be none on the interior of the CPK-17. The water level, as far as I can see, is covered with another sheet of steel. The only non-steel component I see on the kettle's interior is a silicone nub near the bottom, which nearly all kettles have and which are also heat-resistant. Another thing I like about the CPK-17's design is the 360-degree swivel capability of the kettle while resting on its heating element. And of course, the illuminated water level (on when the kettle is in use) is very attractive a nice soft blue color. The pouring spout is perfectly-shaped which makes for a fool-proof pour every time. In terms of functionality, the CPK works exactly as advertised. Heat-up time is quick and the controls are responsive.

The major complaint I have with the CPK-17 is the fact that it's already scaling at the bottom and I've only had the kettle for 2 weeks. To me, this is crazy especially considering I use filtered water by Multi-pure (one of the most advanced filtration systems available), so the water is as clean as it gets before it even goes into the kettle. No chlorine, no calcium, no lime -so what's with the scaling deposits already? It's annoying, and I wonder if other owners have had similar issues. Anyway, I'm giving this product 4 stars. To recap...

Pros:

great design, little if any interior plastic

smooth functioning, fast heat-up

Cons:

Scales easily after only a few uses

Pricey

Honest reviews on Cuisinart CPK-17 PerfecTemp 1.7-Liter Stainless Steel Cordless

This has review three parts: (1) why you should get something like this in general, (2) specific concerns about this product not addressed in other reviews, and (3) detailed operational measurements (water temperature range)

=== Part 1: Why to get an variable temperature electric tea kettle ===

For anyone who drinks tea (unless it is exclusively black) or makes coffee outside an all-in-one, department store drip-brewer, this is absolutely indispensable. Though most recipes have been built to use only room-temp or boiling water (since those are the only temperatures to easily reach with consistency), more cutting-edge cooking as well as coffee/tea prep requires more finesse. Unless you're willing to watch the proverbial pot boil with a thermometer in hand, this is the only way to heat water on such occasions.

=== Part 2: Concerns / questions raised (and/or) left unanswered by other reviews ===

I won't go into detail about well-established pros and cons covered in other reviews, but I would like to make clear a few things I couldn't determine from reviews/specs before I bought mine:

("Hot sides/surfaces"): Yes, the sides get hot, and yes, it is startling to touch the metal outer wall when the water is hot. However, according to my IR thermometer, the surface never gets much above 130 degrees. Sure, that's hot and you should avoid contact, but for comparison many people's hot water heater is set this high and (as validated by my rather stupid intentional touch test) an accidental touch is highly unlikely to cause even a mild first-degree burn unless you actively fight the reflex to instantly pull away.

("Construction / Material touching the water"): True, the sidewall level indicator and the "frame" of the removable spout filter are made of plastic (the BPA content of which I have not conclusively proved or disproved) but the former is part of a small compartment which only a small amount of water reaches and which has very limited circulation, and the latter is removable. The entire rest of the construction that touches water is steel. Since hot water dissolves BPA from plastics, and aluminum's role in neurodegenerative disease is unclear, iron/steel and glass are pretty much the only materials I trust completely for food storage/preparation containers. In this regard, this kettle is the safest option I've found.

=== Part 3: Operational test data ===

As a tea fanatic with a minimum of four kinds of tea always on hand (black, red/oolong, green, and white) and general geek, I have meticulously measured the actual temperature of the water in the kettle for the various settings. I share them here in hopes they will provide a useful operational profile for buyers interested in temperature variability. (Bear in mind that the container you pour into will greatly affect the water temperature, so remember to preheat it by filling it with hot water right before use.)

Button | @ First Trigger Completed

190 | 197 191 194

200 | 203 199 204

Boil | 214 206 214

(All temperatures are in degrees F, as registered by my probe thermometer in the top half of the water with the kettle fully-filled.)

I know this is half generally-relevant bullet points, and half geek-oriented test data, but I hope this review still has something useful for everyone.

Hi.

I almost never write reviews but I believe this one deserve it.

I purchased this kettle from Amazon 6 months ago for $99. I really like the thermometer and could live with the stainless steel look. It worked like a champ until about 2 wks ago when I begin noticing how unusually long it is boiling. I use my kettles a lot for tea, hot water...pretty much 5-10 times a day. One time the water was boiling for close to 3 mins with scalding water splattering out of the spout. My husband suggested I wait no longer for it to shut off automatically and do it manually before it blows up.

That's when I contacted Cuisinart Customer Service only to learn that the only thing I can get from them is an exchange with me paying shipping both ways....NO thanks, I am not interested in spending any more of my money on something that may fail again.

So I called Amazon and begged them to take this kettle back and give me a refund. Amazon came thru and I got $79 back today.

I did lose $20 and my faith in Cuisinart products but at least Amazon didn't fail me. Thanks Amazon.

PS: When I took the base of the kettle off to ship it back to Amazon I noticed that it has been leaking under the base.

Even though I live in a drafty colonial stone farmhouse, I didn't realize until recently that my sleep problems during the winter months were so temperature related. Sweating under down comforters, having electric blankets slide off the bed and awakening to my feet hitting cold spots were the culprits until I purchased a heated mattress pad. The Sunbeam king sized model proved to be the best value with its dual 10-step controls, even heating and automatic shut-off after ten hours. With the heat emanating from underneath, the entire bed surface is pleasantly warm and I am comfortable all night with only a thin acrylic blanket and cotton spread to contain the heat. I've found that setting the thermostats on 'High' about an hour before bed and turning them back to '3' or '4' while sleeping works best. One minor problem is that the controls don't start the coils heating in the lowest temperature settings. They should be set at '8' or above to first warm the bed and then moved back for a night free of cold spots. Other than this minor issue, I'm extremely pleased with both the comfort and my improved quality of winter sleep.

Because Sunbeam seems to have changed the specs since I bought mine I only gave this version 4 stars as I obviously haven't got the exact same model. Mine has 20 temperature settings not 10 and a pre-heat setting that heats up the pad quickly and then powers down to your selected setting. (I assume the new version doesn't pre-heat per its own description and the other review. I can guess only that this simpler system makes it cheaper to manufacture and keeps the price under $100, too bad.)

However, I do like being able to turn the house thermostat down to 60 at night and use this to keep my husband and me toasty warm. Plus with those dual controls he can have his side warmer than I like.

I have also machine washed mine once so far (gentle cycle) with no problems.

I think having heat at the bottom makes a lot more sense than an electric blanket since as we know, heat rises. Why heat the room air? Electricity is not cheap.

I also bought a queen size for the guest room. Have had no complaints about the cold. I am considering buying another.

We are now on our third (3rd) queen size heated mattress pad (the first two were replaced under warrantee) and this is the first one where we have experienced this problem. I'm thinking that the wires extend too far up under the pillows as I can hear buzzing from the pad through the pillow when the heat is on and then it stops when the thermostat says it is warm enough. I lost about 1 1/2 hours of sleep last night due to this. Sunbeam says "put a blanket over it"! That didn't work. I'm calling them again tomorrow and we'll see what the next 'fix' is!

Honest reviews on Sunbeam heated mattress pad, KING size.

I love this heated mattress pad, it's everything I hoped it would be. It heats up in no time flat and has an auto off timer after 10 hours. My only concern before buying it was whether or not I would be able to feel the coils. The coils in an electric blanket I had owned previously were quite noticable, but you can't even feel the ones in the mattress pad. I look forward to going home and hopping into a warm bed every night with this mattress pad. Buy it!

This would have been season three of using this, but it has quit working. I guess I should be lucky that it lasted 2 seasons. The two blankets I purchased in the past didn't even make it an entire season.

This mattress pad was great season one. Last year, one side quit working completely. Now, this year it doesn't work at all. Plugged it in and both controllers flash F2. Tried all the troubleshooting (unplug, plug back in, make sure no kinks, cord not kinked or blocked, etc.) and nothing. For the price, this thing should work for several years.

I have used this little pot for three years. I wanted to have my own pot because I prefer to use single cup drip method for my own coffee rather than the various hotel coffee pots and packaged coffees. I have carried it overseas many times. It comes with two converter plug options, one for the U.S. I have had no problems using other converters for more countries. The company is very customer friendly and replaced the lid at no charge when I cracked it due to careless packing on my part.

Although this heater does heat up the space as indicated and as fast as indicated, it shoots a huge orange flame almost 2 feet to the top of the container. The instructions were easy to follow, however, it indicates that the flame should be blue, not orange and there was no way to adjust the flame. I am not going to use this heater unattended and will be purchasing something else.

If you have a nice open space that needs heat, this is great. Not recommended for any small space or place where combustibles are.

Honest reviews on Mr. Heater 200,000 BTU Propane Convection Heater #MH200C

I had read many complaints and likes about this product. Decided to go with it. Overall Price was excellent. I have it set up in my shop that is 20x30 with HIGH cielings. First time I lit it off I put it on High. The shop went from 14 to 75 in 5 minutes. This of course blew me away. But it made all the metal sweat and rust... OOOPPPS>... Put it on the low setting and the shop heated a bit slower, less condensation etc. I would recomend high cieling. this puts out a large volume of HOT HOT air above it. I have 14 ft cielings and would not dare use this in my garage. Good Buy. Good product.. No Problems here.
