This is a very nice stove. It is very heavy. This was delivered in an 18-wheeler, so it couldn't come up my drive-way to be home delivered. They had to drop in off at my mother's house and then we had to take it the rest of the way. Make sure you have a hand truck! The truck driver did call me about 30 minutes before it was delivered. The stove heats up my house nicely. The window is a little hard to clean, but it is nice to be able to view the flames. Be careful when moving the stove around to get it in line with the flu. We scooted it and one leg ripped off. It is still a nice stove, shipped on a pallet, covered with a shrink wrapped box.

Cheap Pleasant Hearth 2,200 Square Feet Wood Burning Stove, Large
Amozon's price is $100 higher than Lowes plus $300 in shipping costs. This stove puts out a significant amount of heat however, the burn time is more like three hours opposed to ten as stated.

I received this fireplace one week ago it does require some assembly,
It is fully functional and has two heater settings
it also lets you keep the fireplace running without the heater
if you just want the look of a fireplace thats on..
I paid 154.00$ for this I received free shipping and am pleased with the purchase.
It works well.
However, they fail to mention that the "oak finish" is cheap veneer, not oak.
And NO ONE mentioned anywhere in the advertisement here that the unit arrives UNASSEMBLED!!!!
I am concerned because the unit I bought two years ago from AMAZON was solid oak (not a cheap finish), and it came fully assembled.
I cannot yet comment on the heater itself, but I did want to warn prospective buyers that the quality of "oak finish" has been downgraded without clarification or any change in the language.
I will add an update in a few days after we have had a chance to use it.
***********************************************************************************
I have now had a chance to assemble the device, and to use it in my son's room for more than a week of cool weather.
First, the assembly is not easy. There are 80 pieces in the box, mainly screws (55 main screws, + 3 smaller ones), so be prepared to dedicate at least an hour to the work.
I was not impressed with the durability of the heater once constructed. It is heavy, and it is not designed for major relocations once it is constructed.
On the other hand, and despite the faux oak finish, it really is a beautiful addition to my son's room. He LOVES it--and uses the false flame as a night light to hypnotize him to sleep. It is quite nice to sit in a darkened room and stair at the "fire." The heater and thermostat also work well. My ten-year-old was able to operate the controls out of the box. Another plus.
As a result, I have raised the review from 2 stars to 4 stars. I still take off some credit for the faux finish, the lack of warning about assembly required. But the product does overall deliver the quality you hope and expect.

I purchased this product at Christmas and my husband and I have enjoyed it very much so far. It throws off just enough extra heat to keep our living room warm so that we don't have to turn up our electric heat during these cold nights. I also love the ambiance it creates. I am very happy with the product so far.Best Deals for World Marketing Winchester II Factory Direct
Great Little Fireplace. We love the look of the warm fire through the glass. It can be used just to look at the fire light or with the heater feature on. We use ours year round-even in the summer evenings with the heat feature off.Honest reviews on World Marketing Winchester II Factory Direct

Buy Solaire 12-Foot Flexible Hose for Natural Gas Grills, 1/2-Inch
The gas hose on my natural gas Weber Summit grill was leaking from a wear spot. No local replacement could be found, and on-line Weber sites wanted outrageous prices. I wasn't sure about this hose when I ordered it from Amazon, but it's an exact match to the original. Between the price difference and free shipping, it saved me $40. Thanks, Amazon!

I have a 1/2" natural gas pipe in the rear of my home, and I used this natural gas hose to connect to my Tri-fuel PowerLand Generator. The hose was large enough to feed the generator. Review of 11,000 BTU 3x1 Machine Self Evaporative Portable A/C
I bought this unit 4 days ago to use in my 10x10 office / computer room. So far it has worked out great. I live in Missouri so on days I work from home it would easily get 85 deg and uncomfortable in the room. With this unit I am able to cool it to about 73 75 deg in about 30 or so min. I know it's a little overkill for my room since it can do up to a 450sq ft room but since my room has many computers the temp can rise very quickly. I couldn't find ANY reviews on this AC unit anywhere online so I took a chance since it was cheaper than other portable units of its kind and much cheaper than window units to fit a casement window which is what I have in that room. I got an additional 2 year in store warranty for 36$ so the risk seems minimal. I could take it back to my local Rural King store if needed. Since the unit cranks out the air at a good rate it also is fairly noisy. So you couldn't sit next to it on the phone. I also measured the air temp at the output and it got down to 55 deg. enough to freeze you if it's blowing on you for an extended time period. The quality of the build felt a little cheap with thin plastic for the outer shell. Where the power cable wraps around the keeper fingers in the back you can see the plastic flex as you unwind or wind the thick power cord on it. So far it hasn't broke or cracked. The window kit was ok to install. The instructions were on a photocopied manual inside the package so that seems a little cheap as well. However it was good enough to walk me through installing the window kit. I used a hack saw to cut the window kit to the right size and it worked well. Clean cut no sharp edges. I also used some foam weather strip to wrap around the window kit to better seal it once installed in the window. The remote control it comes with works good. It has all the same functions on the remote as the control panel of the unit. Over all I am pretty satisfied with the unit and would purchase it again and recommend it to others. We will have to see how it stand up to the test of time.
Update 6/20/2013 Been using the unit for a couple weeks now and still very pleased.

I was pleasantly surprised at what a good job this little steamer does for the price. I've used it to remove set-in wrinkles from new clothing and to freshen up items taken out of the closet. I also used it to remove dents in my carpet from furniture. Pretty good product. My only complaint is that it doesn't hold very much water, but I was still able to steam about 3 garments before re-filling. Would recommend it for small jobs.Best Deals for Conair GS16R Deluxe Hand Held Fabric Steamer

This is too small to be anything other than a hand steamer for wrinkled clothes when one is traveling. At that, it spits out water when it's heated. It should be advertised with that limit on it. It is much too small to use over straight fabrics like bedspreads, linen, bedskirts, which is why I purchased it. I wish I had not purchased it. Deluxe Fabric Steamer it is not.Thursday, May 8, 2014
HomeTech Contemporary Electric Fireplace - 1,500 Watts, Wall-Mount Reviews
I receive many compliments on this piece. It is definitely a conversation piece and keeps the LR warm at once. The only downfall is that I was looking forward to the steel frame, instead it was all black and looks like a flat screed TV. An update on this unit; it just over heated and nearly caused a house fire last December. Thank goodness that my circuit breaker kept tripping.

I am a tea drinker and I find this appliance to be very useful. I drink green, oolong and pu-erh tea pretty much every day. I keep this little guy on a book shelf in my room where it is at a perfect height for me lift it up and set it down.
The temperature control knob is designed as a general guideline, and I love that boiling water isn't its' sole function. I mean, I drink green and oolongs too, so to boil water and wait is misused energy. It shuts off after reaching the desired temperature. I tweak the knob personally, as it is just a guideline.
Yes, the knob and kettle switch are not made of steel. They are in fact plastic. So please, don't start wrestling with your tea kettle. I know it's fun to use and it looks like a spaceship, but no wrestling...
If you combine this with a Brita filter, you have two of the best investments for tea for the rest of you life. It is wise to use filtered water in this utilitea, otherwise you risk calcification and other mineral build up on the interior of the kettle. The buildup can diffuse into the water and changing the taste of whatever you brew.
Although the lid retains a plastic smell even after some months of use, it DOES NOT adulterate the water. If it did, I would have returned it instantly...
In conclusion, the ease of use, aesthetics, temperature control and reliability give this 5 stars. I'm someone who uses this everyday, I can say it significantly streamlined my lifetea is a large part of it!
I also recommend for the coffee drinkers using a French press.
Other great features are that it heats the water quickly, in under 5 minutes. It has an automatic shut-off when it reaches the set temperature. It will not boil dry (I haven't tested this feature, but the literature claims it to be true). It looks sleek and modern sitting on your countertop with its stainless steel and black stylings as compared to the white plastic electric kettles of yore. It also has the convenient design feature of the cord coiling into the base, so you only have to pull out as much as you need to reach your outlet.
I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons. Most importantly, because it gets hot hot hot to the touch. Be careful, or you will burn yourself. Make sure to only touch the plastic parts, which isn't always so easy. Secondarily, because the temperature control knob and the on/off switch are made of flimsy plastic -the rest of it is well made, but the second time I pushed the on/off switch it popped off! Luckily, it is easily re-attachable.
I am glad someone finally put one of these out on the market!
A few gripes though, the UtiliTEA's temperature gauge is color coded rather than providing any kind of numeric indication and the manual. It's easy to use, but if you needed precision (and I don't), you won't be able to get it. More irritating is no real audible indication that it's done-the lever clicks, but there's no whistle, bell or anything else you'll notice in the other room. Good news is, it's really fast, even to bring water to a boil. A final thing I dislike-there's no "off" switch on the base and they recommend pulling the power cord between uses. I'm not certain whether it's unsafe to leave it plugged in, but I keep pulling the plug after every use which is quite honestly annoying. Mind you, I'm a new homeowner, I'm a little paranoid about such things.
I realize my criticism is pretty harsh-the UtiliTEA does its core competencies fantastically, and I've used this exclusively as my water heating solution, but while it's an excellent device, any potential buyer should be aware of its limitations.
Well color me impressed.
The Adagio kettle has a few features I like:
1. Temperature Control: I list this first, because its a rare feature. Green teas are quite popular, but most people who drink them don't know they are generally supposed to be steeped at a lower temperature than black teas and herbal teas. (~180 degrees vs 215 degrees). So while you can just boil up some water for your standard breakfast tea, you'd be 'overcooking' a green tea if you steep it with such hot water. Why spend all that money on good tea, and for some people even more on a nice tea set if you don't prepare the tea to bring out its best flavors. The Adagio has a very simple knob with two 'zones', one for green teas, and the other for black/herbal teas. As simple as it can get. My only quibble is a wish they had a numbers for the gauge as well so I can see the exact temperature rather than go by their judgement.
2. Stainless steel: I've had plastic electric kettles in the past. They tend to suffer from two problems. First, they smell of plastic and leech plastics into the boiling water (even after the smell goes away.) More and more studies are showing our bodies have lots of environmental chemicals in them. Why not take a simple precaution to avoid adding more? Secondly, the plastic kettles just don't seem durable. I had one at the office where one piece of plastic fell off and into the pot melting to the heating element. I was just glad it didn't end up starting a fire.
3. 360degree base. A good # of kettles have to be 'fit' onto the base with a specific facing. The Adagio can be put back on its base without that. Its a small issue, but both ergonomically and aesthetically I prefer the ease of it.
I do feel it can be a bit slower than prior kettles I've had to heat water, but then I see less 'flicker' of the lights when its turned on or turned off, so I suspect its slightly lower wattage. This is fine, it works speedily enough and faster than a stovetop kettle still.
Really its just a nice solid kettle, that doesn't have the worries of chemicals from plastic, that can allow you to properly prepare green teas and black teas, and looks quite nice. Now to see how long it lasts with regular usage.
From what I've seen so far though I heartily recommend it.

The UtiliTEA is an excellent electric tea kettle-it's comes in two parts, the base and the kettle. The base plugs in, the kettle rests on top of it. Honest reviews on Adagio Teas 30 oz. utiliTEA Variable Temperature Electric Kettle
I got this unit to compliment my aeropress coffee maker which is best used with water below boiling. The unit is sleek and works well. However mine came with a leaking gasket in the front plastic window that shows the pots fill volume. I got the paperwork that comes with the unit and saw that it had a 90 day warranty. So i politely contacted the manufacturer...3 times. Never heard back. So I turned to Amazon and they were helpful but I can't get a full refund. So I am out of pocket for a defective unit and the manufacturer is non responsive to warranty claims. Also I don't have time to run to the post office or re-package it. I never write product reviews really (time being the factor again) but I was sufficiently disappointed with the way this whole scenario went to let everyone know. Best Capresso Water Kettle H2O Pro, Stainless Steel/Polished Chrome Deals
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $130.00
Sale Price: $53.90
Today's Bonus: 59% Off

After seeing warnings against another variable temperature kettle (branded by a major tea vendor) that's totally hit-or-miss by 20 degrees, I was cautiously hopeful that Capresso's H2O Pro would avoid that problem.
When this kettle arrived, I decided to play the skeptic and put to test it. Would it really hit 140F on the dot? Just a little above/below? A lot?
After a short brew time, *two* other thermometers (one analog, one digital) agreed with the kettle: 140.0F on the dot!
This is one excellently designed variable-temperature kettle! This kettle has now brought about more casual tea drinking. No more do I have to watch a stove or electric kettle like a hawk and stop it at the right temperature!
Temperatures are programmable in 10F increments from 110F (warm on the wrist) to 212F (boiling). I like to make tea with 140F (a bit over scalding) as I use plenty of Japanese green tea that is temperature-sensitive. And I love how it can also be programmed to keep the same temperature continuously (or not, as you please).
I only have 2 snags with this kettle:
At the temperatures I like, increments in 5, 2 or 1 degree make better sense than 10 degree increments.
When taking the kettle off its base, it resets its temperature defaults to 212 (boiling). I'd prefer that it automatically kept my preferences while I'm pouring the occasional cup throughout the day. But that's just me. Turning it to the preferred temp again is just a few thumb-wiggles away (which makes the 10-degree increments a balance of convenience).
Since no other variable-temp kettle I can find on the market is better than this one, these are just would-likes and don't detract from what I feel is a kettle at the head of its market.
5 Stars.
Now three weeks later the whole lid assembley has fallen apart. This kettle is very cheaply made. I am surprised that Jura, one of Switzerlands top companies in this field, is prepared to put their name on such an inferior product.
To bring the tale of woe up to date it is now july 31st and we are looking at our second broken kettle. Capresso replaced the first one with no hassle. The replacement worked fine for ten days until the lid mechanism broke again. This definitely is a "piece of junk"
But the reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that the lid always seems to stick and you have to press in and back a little to open it. Then about a week ago a piece of plastic on the lid broke and now it no longer stays shut at all.

5 Stars.

We bought this kettle to replace an earlier Capresso kettle that had provided years of good service. Don't make the same mistake. Yes it looks good and it boils water but the thermostat is not calibrated correctly and it is not sensitive enough. It sometimes takes up to 40 seconds to switch off after it has boiled even though it is set for the minimum time. This means you either have steamed up walls or you have to watch while it boils and switch off manually. Not impressedNow three weeks later the whole lid assembley has fallen apart.

I use this everyday but there are 2 things I wish it had the temperatures only increase/decrease by 10 degrees, I would prefer 5 but this is ok. I really wish a timer or alert would go off when the correct temperature is reached. But I do use it everyday and it heats up water fast.Honest reviews on Capresso Water Kettle H2O Pro, Stainless Steel/Polished Chrome
My husband and I purchased this item a few months ago. We have been happy with it until last week, when the plastic catch that holds the lid broke off. The lid has a spring action, so without this catch we can no longer close it.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Capresso Water Kettle H2O Pro, Stainless Steel/Polished Chrome
This water kettle has been great. We've owned it for about 15 months. It's very reliable and durable. We like how it shuts itself off once the water is up to the temperature that you set. And it shuts itself off when the water runs dry or when you pick it up off its base. No more boiling water dry and burning your house down. ;-)But the reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that the lid always seems to stick and you have to press in and back a little to open it. Then about a week ago a piece of plastic on the lid broke and now it no longer stays shut at all.
