We originally had the Holmes Whisper-Quiet heater and LOVED it and all the heat it pumped out. But the prong would get terribly hot and I worried about using it continually. I contacted Holmes customer service and they were awesome! They sent us a prepaid shipment box to return our little Holmes heater and replaced it with this model. I was skeptical because I have purchased so many crappy space-heaters over the past few years. (We have oil heat...ouch!) They assured me that if I wasn't happy with this heater, I could return in and they would send something else...really, I can't emphasize how great their customer satisfaction department is!
Well..from the start, this little heater made me happy. I keep it in the area of the house that I work in and it's quiet and very effective. The one and only criticism I have is that in the "eco-smart" setting...the heater switches back and forth between low to high setting, which you know is nice, but our other two space-heaters let me set the heat just on the low setting if I want. But other than that....it's terrific!

I have a panel bedroom that is approximately 15x15 and it's always freezing. I needed a good heater that was energy efficient. This heater warms up the whole room in about ten minutes! It doesn't have a remote but you can choose a temperature so I don't care about the remote and I've never had a better heater. Ordered this for my roommate who lives in our apartment's sun room which has full length windows for most of the walls, meaning it was perpetually cold despite our central heating. The heater is very small, but heats up her room relatively quickly and thoroughly despite the cold coming in from the windows. The heat settings are nice, as is the rotation feature. Only con is, as noted, you can't put the heater just on low (unless you turn it to a lower temperature).
