this heater does not get hot, the heat comes and goes in waves. it only heats up on the bottom so you need to keep turning it over in your hand.it is not at all what i was expecting. i would not recommend it.

This handwarmer has a microUSB port for charging. It lasts quite a few hours on one charge, but I have never used it from full charge to dead so I have no idea how long it actually is.It doesn't need a "sock" or cover, as it never gets quite warm enough to risk burns. It doesn't hold heat when exposed to cold air, but kept in a pocket it keeps things nice and toasty.
MicroUSB cables and AC->USB adaptors are ubiquitous, so I can charge it pretty much anywhere. I got mine last year, and after the summer in storage it still works fine. My only complaint is that it can only warm up one pocket at a time, so I may invest in a second one.

I was a little hesitant on getting an electric hand warmer. However, when I got this I was more than pleased. Great quality and the battery lasts a long time on high (6.5 hrs). It felt good in my pants pocket on a New Jersey winters night! This does not give off enough heat to warm anything. I had it on "high" setting and it barely worked in the house, much less outside in the cold.
