21st Century lists wick style number 113 as compatible with my Toyostove RC-41 but the 113 style is completely different; pictured (at the time of this review) for BOTH 113 and 158 is a wick with three locating pins, wick PN 20450013 has three locator pins and 158 resembles what is shown. The style 113 does not have pins despite what is pictured and is a completely different size / shape / design and INCOMPATIBLE with Toyostove RC-41!!
I have 158 now after returning 113 and it is installed and working exactly as it should with no issues!

I bought this for a baseboard electric heater because I didn't want to go to the trouble of mounting and wiring a thermostat in the wall. The first disadvantage is that you have to get down on floor with a flashlight to set and program it. The second disadvantage is that whatever temperature you set it is not what the room will be because it is mounted on the heater. When the heater comes on it warms the thermostat much sooner than the room and cuts the heater off. So to make it work you have to set it much higher than you want the room to be and then come back and reset it after the room has warmed up.
Unfortunately, switching the switch to off completely resets the program, including the time of day! That's right, flipping the switch on the bottom of this uint to off will completely erase the entire schedule that you've tediously programmed into it, using its paltry three buttons while sitting on the floor.
Also, this unit is a very poor fit for the Cadet baseboard heater that I purchased at the same time. And the electronics in this thing probably cost about a nickel to manufacture. This thing is horribly overpriced garbage.
Do not buy!
It only fits Cadet Series F baseboards, so you'll probably end up replacing the one you have now.
Installation is the same as for any on-the-baseboard thermostat (have an electrician do it if you're not familiar with household wiring). Programming is pretty easy. The thermostat's temperature regulation is much better than I expected. I thought the heater would heat up the sensor and mess it up, but the sensor is right at the bottom, and the way convection works is that hot air exits the top of the unit, which draws cold air in at the bottom, and putting the sensor at the bottom of the thermostat assembly does the trick.
The only issues are:
1. Power outages (including a blink of about a second) cause the unit to lose track of what time it is. It still remembers its heating program, though.
2. If you have furniture in front of your baseboard heaters, getting at the thermostat can be a nuisance.
They dont fit all baseboard heaters..

One of the reasons I purchased this was that the on/off rocker switch would be a nice replacement for the old knob thermostat, which half the time ended up getting turned in the wrong direction so that the heater was left on at the highest setting when the intention had been to turn it off.Unfortunately, switching the switch to off completely resets the program, including the time of day! If you have electric baseboard heat and want a digital programmable setback thermostat -and you do, because it will make your rooms more comfortable and save you money -but you don't want to wire in a regular thermostat on the far side of the room, this on-the-baseboard thermostat is the one for you.It only fits Cadet Series F baseboards, so you'll probably end up replacing the one you have now.

The 3405A cadet digital thermostat is eons ahead of the old bimetal cadet switch it replaced! Don't hesitate to replace yours. The new digital thermostat is way more accurate and so it does not over-shoot and under-shoot the temperature. This thermostat will provide you with an even room temperature. Say good bye to the thermal swings... it is just right!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for CADET MANUFACTURING CO Smart Base 208/240V Almond Electronic
These aren't a fix all. No they wont read as accurate as a wall thermostat there lower to the floor. Yes it will take a little more work setting it. But its still better than a twist to set thermostat.Dont install it yourself, Most of you wont BEABLE TO MAKE IT WORK. Hire electrician. They dont fit all baseboard heaters..

Cheap Frigidaire DSF-10302 Dallas Floor Standing Electric Fireplace

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is conveniently portable, you can carry it from one room to another, even if you have been using it for sometime. The heat is coming from the bottom and doesn't heats up the handles that are on the top. It uses two 40W E12 lamps that can be replaced from the back.
Pros:
wonderful magical fireplace display. It looks like an authentic fire unless you are very close to it.
no assembly required
Cons:
Not extremely loud but still makes noise even no heater is on.
No authentic fire log crackling noise. Fireplace DVDs give you better experience on audio.
It is blowing air on the bottom but not enough to spread the head across the room
Energy consumption:
I used a Kill-a-Watt to measure how much energy it consumes. This electronic fireplace has three rocker switches. The first one is for light display only. The other two switches is to turn on the heater. There are two rotating knobs. The one on the left is for the light display intensity. The one on the right is a dumb knob for the heater temperature. It is actually just a two step switch. It doesn't adjust gradually. Nothing happens until you turn the knob past halfway before the light on the second heater switch turns on. After passing halfway, the heat will not intensify more even if you turn the knob all the way to the highest setting.
Light only, dimmest setting = 53W
Light only, brightest setting = 78W
Light + 1 heater switch = 731W
Light + 2 heater switches = 1,311W
While not a direct replacement for 24/7 heating needs, the Dallas Electric Fireplace is more than effective to not only spruce up your room but make it cozy as well.
I placed this in the lowest level of my home. I have a Tri-level and the basement level is the coldest. Although it is not too cold yet, this electric Fireplace threw out some instant heat. The heat soon radiated into the room, and it kept the heat in the room uniform.
I liked the look of the flames and the wood, as it is quite realistic. The flames are high, and consistently producing nice images of fire.
My only concern is that the flames are placed in the back, and I would like the flames to billow out of the "logs" also. So, the logs are lit, and the flames are in the back.
The unit, itself, does not get hot, and there is an auto safety feature. You can operate this with or without the heat. PLUS, you can operate one heating element or both for greater warmth.
I placed the Fireplace in the Living Room, and I got a very nice uniform heat. I will, of course, raise the fireplace for more of a level to eye view and enjoyment.
This one is smaller than my other unit Frigidaire CMSF-10310 Cleveland Floor Standing Electric Fireplace Black. It is compact and easy to move. It certainly does not take up much space.
But what I do not know yet is if this uses more electricity than normal. I will test it out, But, in the meanwhile, it is wonderful!! Works great, looks better! Rizzo
Since we live in the Southwest we've yet to experience any real winter this year so have just used it during the cool mornings of late. We cannot wait for real frosty winter to arrive as we have visions of toasty evenings watching TV.
We're pleased that we don't have to heat the entire villa to make us comfortable in one room. What a boon when the bill comes around!
Think the price for it is quite reasonable and for us a Frigidaire product is a good, dependable one.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I live in a warm weather climate, so I rarely use central heat. Most of the time I entrust the evenings and mornings to space heaters. This is more than suitable for the chilly mornings and evenings. Instead of a boring hot fan or lamp or disk, this is quite aesthetically pleasing. Yeah, the wood isn't super authentic and the flames are just digital representations on the screen behind the glowing pieces of wood. But it does provide a nice ambiance. The fan is a bit loud on the bottom, and most of the heat is shoved out through the bottom vent. This is fine in terms of making sure the room heats up in a uniform manner. While not a direct replacement for 24/7 heating needs, the Dallas Electric Fireplace is more than effective to not only spruce up your room but make it cozy as well.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have not had an electric fireplace before. But, I was certainly surprised at the heating uniformity this one produced. I was suspicious that it would heat in one spot, like those small space heaters.I placed this in the lowest level of my home. I have a Tri-level and the basement level is the coldest. Although it is not too cold yet, this electric Fireplace threw out some instant heat. The heat soon radiated into the room, and it kept the heat in the room uniform.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This fireplace is a bit small to do anything with. Since it's a 'fireplace,' you want it out in the open to admire it, but it's too small to act like a fireplace. If you end up putting it close to you to act as a space heater, you lose a lot of the ambiance of the fireplace and starts to look really fake. I do like that it has two heat settings -and can put out a respectable amount of heat for its size -but I think I'd opt for one of the bigger, more expensive ones over this one. It's really too small and 'space heater like' to really appreciate as a fireplace.Friday, August 15, 2014

This fire pit was larger than expected.
Drawbacks are that the "copper" rails are 4 pieces and they don't tighten very well. So they have some give. Also it is very easy to strip the bolts when putting unit together.
Other than those issues am I very satisfied with this fire pit.
But overall, great product very stury, and nice looking. Great addition to a patio, deck or porch.

This product serves its purpose well. While there's not much to write regarding fire pits this one is pretty good. It contains the fire nicely and the handles make it easy to move. The only thing that could have made this better is if there was a lid to snuff the fire in case of a need to put it out quickly; otherwise, you must rely on water.Best Deals for Fire Sense Copper Rail Fire Pit
It is a great fireplace and very elegant. It is wide enough to fit a lot of wood and projects heat evenly. For the price I think it should have been a little better quality but all in all it is a good fireplace that can be used for many yearsHonest reviews on Fire Sense Copper Rail Fire Pit

Has a nice classiness about it with the copper ring, and a large deep basin. Exactly how it presents is what you get. 3 ft across and 1 ft deep for easy measurments. Only way to improve is to have side vents to allow heat to escape from the sides to warm feet as seen with other fire pits. I fixed this with a hammer and flathead screwdriver. But overall, great product very stury, and nice looking. Great addition to a patio, deck or porch.

This is a nice little heater. Has the same size
ceramic core as bigger units, but costs less because
theres no remote, or fancy lcd display. But it puts
out just as much heat as its big brothers.
The exterior is pretty cheap, so I can't give it
anymore stars. I believe this heater qualify's for CA prop 65
warning. But didn't see it! Made in China....
Pros: Quiet and many settings to keep your room at a comfortable temperature.
Cons: NO SAFETY FEATURE! I think this is the reason I took off a star. There is no safety function for this heater. If you accidentally knock it over, it'll stay on. I've used other heaters and they have a safety button on the bottom of the heater, if the heater is move even the slightest, it'll turn off as a safety precaution. Now why does this matter? If you have pets this can be dangerous; if your pet knocks the heater over and you're not around to see it, the heater will stay on and potentially danger items nearby or even catch things on fire due to the heat it is emitting. This can be a dangerous concern if you plan on leaving this heater on overnight!
Other concerns: There was a certain smell to the heater when I first used it. But after a few hours of use, there was no longer a smell. It consume 1500watts, it is on power hungry machine. I set the machine on "high" and on Max. When it gets to the temperature I'm comfortable with, I turn it on "low", so it shouldn't consume that much electricity.

Overview: This is a great small size heater. It has two main setting "low" and "high". The low setting is nearly silent, so you can easily do certain task such as talking or listening to music without some background interference. It has 6 temperatures settings (in Fahrenheit): 65˚, 70˚, 75˚, 80˚, 85˚, and "Max". During the winter time, my room is about 55˚ Fahrenheit, using the max setting it gets my 10x12 feet room heated to 80˚ in 15~20 minutes. It has an oscillating feature that rotates about a 60˚ angle.Pros: Quiet and many settings to keep your room at a comfortable temperature.

Very warm heat. Love it! We don't have heat in our upstairs just yet so we needed something to get us by this winter until my husband puts in the ductwork. We have 3 bedrooms and 1 bath and it keeps it warm if we want it to. I love how you can control the heat it has a setting for 65,70,75 and MAX heat. It has a high and low speed but if you put it on low, you can't set the temp, it just runs on low the whole time. If you have it on high, it will shut off when it reaches the desired temp. It also has a oscillating setting which is nice I use it at night so it blows in all the bedrooms evenly. Happy with my purchase!Honest reviews on Lasko 5309 Electronic Oscillating Tower Heater
Good heater, but if you are using this on a high setting which is 1500 watts, make sure the outlet you are using does not have anything else using the same outlet or the same line from other outlets or your will trip the breaker box. I have always used Lasko products in regards to heaters and fans, but Lasko as a whole, has incredibly decreased in product quality and performance. I understand that the title indicates that this certain model is a heater, but with all three other Lasko products (2001 and older) I own, they also work as fans capable of emitting cold air. Also, they have safety features with a sensor underneath so that if the unit falls over, it automatically turns off, along with another sensor in front that also turns it off if something is too close to the heater. And all three also come with more sleep time frames. This particular model is missing all three features and it was more expensive then the others. So I give it three stars for efficiently working as advertised, but not coming equipped with the features that gave rise to Lasko.Best Deals for Lasko 5511 Oscillating Ceramic Tower Heater

It sounds silly, but the handle on the top of this space heater increases its portability tenfold. It's very light, and because it only takes one hand to move it around, I'm constantly switching it from the floor to an end table. The many different heat settings mean that you can be very picky about the heat blasting out at you.
Another feature that I find preferable is that it heats constantly, unlike some space heaters which practically light you on fire but come on only intermittently. This handy space heater stays at the temperature you choose the entire time. I've run this thing for 10 hours at a time with no ill effects. It lasted through last winter and is still going strong this winter. When I had the flu for a couple of weeks, I hunkered down on my couch with this on the coffee table and baked myself every single night for the entire night.
I adore this thing and I'm about to order another to keep in my office. (I live in a house that was built in 1825 so it can be a little drafty. Because all the rooms are small and the house is full of doors just for the purpose of trapping heat, it's more energy efficient for me to squirrel myself away in my office with the door shut and the space heater on than to crank the furnace in the entire house up.
EDIT 9/19/2013: This thing is still going strong. During the winter, my programmed thermostats turn the house temp way down, so at night I close the doors to my room and bake myself all night. This heater has never once let me down. At this point, I can't tell you how many nights it's run the entire night, 8+ hours, every night during the winter months. It still works just as great now as the day I first got it. I LOVE this heater.
For the quality, this heater is very durable and sturdy. It has a very solid feel to it, with a good weight. Nor does it feel or look cheaply made. The fan sound is a bit noticeable compared to my tower heater, but it isn't loud as to hinder sleeping or watching tv. One thing about the heater is that the fan is always on high, but, in my opinion, that is good for low heat settings because it still helps distribute the heat throughout the room. The thermostat isn't digital but works very well. If the temperature is constant outside, the heater keeps the room at a fairly even temperature. And, I like the fact that I can turn the knob to exactly where I want it rather than it being set at say 5 degree increments the way my tower heater is.
This heater and all of its comparable models do use quite a bit of electricity. I have noticed that this heater will use about 36 kilowatts in a 24-hour period. That is about $4 $6 a day depending on the electric company rates.
I have used this heater every day for the past month with no problems at all other than having to sit in on a box. So, overall, I give it 4 stars. The only thing taking away is the fact that I have to sit it on the box, the slightly audible fan noise and the amount of electricity it uses. But those are all very minor, in my opinion, for the comfort it provides.
(sorry for the VERY poor video quality my little digital camera isn't exactly designed for making movies and the sound does not pick up very well either; hope you can turn up your volume and still get the gist!)
This video briefly compares the Holmes HQH307 Tower Quartz Heater, and a Dr Heater Portable Quartz + PTC Infrared Space Heater 1500W, Dual Heating System, UL Listed.**, with the spotlight on the Lasko 675945 Stanley 12-Inch Ceramic Utility Heater. While all three heaters are relatively energy efficient choices each have various strong and weak points which are discussed, but the Stanley model is a BIG winner in a small package! It costs the least and heats even a large room just about as fast and as well as my old favorite, Dr. Heater.
Important: the design of this model produces directional heat it blows on an angle towards the floor. On hard surfaces like tile or hardwood this is a huge plus for quick distribution of heat. When I use this in a carpeted area, the carpet will absorb the heat and the room takes longer to warm unless I put the heater on heat resistant surface a couple of feet above the floor like on a small end table.
Edited to add: the description states "built-in safety features, which consist of a self-regulating ceramic heating element and automatic overheat protection", but please be aware that this unit appears NOT to have a tip-over shut off feature.
The video highlights differences in features and functions of each, including demonstrating how fast and how hot each unit gets comparatively.
Uses about 36kwh per 24hrs; you can use your electric bill to find your rate to see what this unit will cost to run day to day.
No word on longevity as this is a new purchase for me. Very pleased with this item so far though and happy to recommend!
** for more information on the Dr Heater Portable Quartz heater please check the product page and/or my review of it which was posted on October 21, 2011.
Cons: Initial smell of the camicals used to protect the ceramic heating parts. A little noisy.

I first used it in a room that did not have a carpeted floor and it provided good heat for its size although the temperature was only about 60-degrees F so it really wasn't much of a test. At the end of the month when the temperature dropped to the 40s and 30s at night, I used the heater in a rather small 15' x 13' carpeted room and almost froze until I realized this: the heater blows its heat downward toward the floor. I was about to return it for being defective until I decided to try sitting it on a small box I had. After I put it on the box, it started heating the entire room with no problem at all even getting too hot at the highest setting. The fact that it blows downward could be a defect, but I am thinking that because this is actually a utility heater, it is made for non-carpeted rooms which helps bounce the heat around the room or keep it from igniting items directly in front of it although I could be wrong.

Sturdy, with a great handle, so it's easy to pick up and move around. But no turn off "tip over" switch. I almost started a fire on the carpet with this heater turned over. Most of my other space heater turn off. So do not use in a children's area, could be dangerous. It's very industrial looking but it's only looks. The output is no more than any other of its size and it pulls a LOT of electricity for the output you get. Thermostat is a joke, doesn't regulate a steady temp at all. THE WORST is the noise...IT'S THE NOISIEST HEATER I HAVE EVER HAD...and it varies with its noise, in cycles like a snoring person!...LOL...Anyways, the bottom line was the cost vs efficiency and this heater fails.Thursday, June 26, 2014

My husband wanted to buy one of these last fall, and I was unconvinced. We had a power outage last winter when it was -30 degrees outside and suffered for three days with no heat in our house. After that, I was persuaded to go along with his "crazy" idea. We are using this as a natural gas heat source. The great part about it is that if we lose electricity again this winter, we will still be able to stay warm and comfortable. One of the things I like about it is the moisture that is put into the air by the gas burning. The humidity in our house is staying around 60 degrees when we have the stove running. We are going to get rid of the old humidifier, as it is no longer needed. We are both very pleased with our purchase.
We had a professional run the gas line and hook it up for us, and bought a CO2 alarm for the house, for safety.
If you are deciding between a vent-free and direct-vent stove, first make sure you have enough space to support a vent-free stove. If you do, I found the look to be much nicer than the direct-vent. The flames dance more, and they put out lots more usable heat.
The downside is the starter button. When I unscrew the cap to put in the battery the starter fell back through the hole. Just remove the 2 screws that hold the face plate and then it is a piece of cake.
Well, this little stove stepped up to the challenge, in ways I NEVER thought it could. It was very easy to set it up, the instructions were very clear and straightforward; anyone with moderate plumbing skills can do it. It's nice and wide, an ideal height, and not very deep so it fits better in a small living room than any other stove I could find. The thermostat works very well at regulating a steady heat, and works in two stages, adjusting the flame height according to how much demand there is for heat. In mild autumn weather it cycles on and off on its own and easily maintains a constant temperature. In the coldest weather of January it runs pretty much continually, but will cycle between a low flame and a high flame depending on the need for extra heat (e.g., when someone opens the front door). Even without using a fan, this stove is capable of maintaining a comfortable temperature throughout the house, THE ENTIRE YEAR! I still haven't replaced my furnace, and this little stove is ready for its 2nd heating season.
Now, because there is no central heating plant (yet, I'm working on that, but I think I'll just install electric baseboard heaters because they're cheaper and I won't ever use them anyway) the basement gets cold. SO! I purchased a gas ventless "garage heater" and installed it downstairs (FOLLOW THIS LINK, HERE: ProCom Dual Fuel Vent-Free Blue Flame Garage Heater 30,000 BTU, Model# MD300TGA ) it's not as pretty but just as efficient. Now the basement is warm, the floors on the main floor are nice and toasty warm, and the temperature is more even. Perfect! And I am saving a TON on heating bills. In the coldest month my gas bill was only $200. And to be fair I should point out that I have gas hot water, a gas clothes dryer, gas oven and cooktop, gas bar-b-que.
As far as safety, I installed a C02 monitor on each floor and the basement. None of them have ever gone off, so the people that say you'll get sick from too mich C02 are nuts. It's no different than using your gas cooktop (which doesn't have a chimney, either, and I've never heard of anyone getting sick from having a gas range). Ventless stoves burn differently than do gas appliances that are designed to have chimneys they are NOT the same. The downside? Because ventless appliances have to burn cleanly the flame isn't as "pretty" as a vented fireplace the flame is more blue and less yellow, and not as large. So turn the lights down if you want to see the flame! Even though the "fire" is not as dramatic as a wood fireplace or vented gas fireplace, IT'S 100% EFFICIENT! no WASTE! Every penny you spend on gas stays IN your house as heat. Nothing goes up a chimney. You'd have to spend thousands on a gas furnace to compare to the efficiency of this stove, and even then no furnace is more than 97% efficient. And these expensive high-efficiency gas furnaces still use a lot of electricity, too, to operate the controls and the fan this stove doesn't need ANY electricity. It's worth having a less exciting blaze knowing you're spending hundreds less on your gas (and electric) bill, isn't it?? Any drawbacks? Yes if you have a dusty environment or are fond of using a lot of air-contaminating air fresheners (or if you smoke indoors, or use cleaners with heavy scents all which ARE bad for your lungs) these airborne particles will be burnt up by the stove, as well. The result is a gray ash film will build up on the inside of the stove around the flame, and on articles near the stove. I am doing renovations, which makes my house dustier than is typical for most people; I have a mirror above the stove and I have to clean it every 2 or 3 months because a faint film of ash builds up. It's easy enough to wipe it off with a damp cloth or glass cleaner. It DID improve when I bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner (awesome!) which significantly reduced the level of dust in my home. Now to be fair, if you've ever used an open fireplace, or a wood stove for heat, this is NOTHING compared to the soot and dust that using a wood fire produces in your home!! Other than that, this little stove is amazing
Buy the stove stop looking for a better model, there isn't one. Just do it, it will pay for itself in a couple of months, AND you'll have the pleasure of an open flame to stare at, and being toasty warm, on those cold blustery nights when your neighbors are bundled up in blankets trying to save a few dollars on their gas bill!

I purchased the Bainbridge II Dual Fuel Freestanding Stove with an optional blower attachment. The Stove works great for its intended purpose. The blower on the other hand did not work at all. When I purchased these items I believed they were going to be brand new products like the item description stated. The blower came in a box that had the return receipt of another customer still inside it. So, someone else returned it because it didn't work and then the company resells it to me as brand new! I have exchanged a couple of e-mails with the company about it but then nothing. They have gone unheard of! I'm now out $100 because this company refused to stand behind their sale. Look around for a different seller.Best Deals for Bainbridge II Dual Fuel Freestanding Vent Free Stove Model GSD3033
I have three propane fireplaces in my home. I love being able to warm up a room quickly and watch the fire dance. This one looks nice and sets up easily except that the instructions didn't say where the battery for the electronic starter went. A phone call answered that question easily (you unscrew the starter button). If you are looking for a reasonably priced stove that puts out a lot of heat, it does. Unfortunately for me, the room I put it in is only 13x16 and it heats up so fast that I can't sit and watch the fire for very long. So if you like to sit and watch flames dance, consider getting a smaller stove. My other concern is that when it kicks on, the gas comes out for several seconds before it catches fire with a big "whosh." My other fireplaces don't do that. As long as it is in a big room and far from any curtains or fabric, it is probably perfectly safe, but where I have it, I turn it off when I leave the room just to be safe.If you are deciding between a vent-free and direct-vent stove, first make sure you have enough space to support a vent-free stove. If you do, I found the look to be much nicer than the direct-vent. The flames dance more, and they put out lots more usable heat.

Love this stove. I have a fairly big room (17x24 with arch ceiling) that has electric heat (rest of the house is propane). This room at very best in the winter (New England) was sort of warm. I never use the electric anymore. This stove not only provides lots of cozy heat but it actually heats the rest of the house as well. The logs are pretty real looking, especially at night. I am using just the stove without the blower attachment. The sides and rear of the stove stay cool all the time. The downside is the starter button. When I unscrew the cap to put in the battery the starter fell back through the hole. Just remove the 2 screws that hold the face plate and then it is a piece of cake.

I bought this gas stove last autumn (a full year ago) when my home's furnace died, as an interim measure until I replaced an ancient oil fired furnace from the 1920s with electric heat. I live in Philadelphia where it gets COLD, in a 1920s two-story row house of about 1000 square feet, with no insulation in the attic, and old single-glazed aluminum windows. I never intended to use this to heat the house, it was meant to add some ambience and serve as an emergency heat source.Well, this little stove stepped up to the challenge, in ways I NEVER thought it could. Buy Lasko 5355 30-Inch Ceramic Pedestal Heater
We bought this for our small office and it does such a wonderful job
of heating the area quietly. We had another heater that was much louder and didn't do nearly the job this one does. I highly recommend it!

I bought this heater to help save on the gas bill this winter. It seems to be a good powerful little heater. I am using it in the living area and right away noticed a difference in temperature. The oscillating feature is nice and so is the remote control unit. There does not seem to be much of a difference in noise level between the high and low setting, but is fairly quiet. All in all a good heater for the money.Best Deals for Lasko 5355 30-Inch Ceramic Pedestal Heater
Although I purchased this originally to heat my master bedroom, which is very large, I also use it in my bathroom. It is thermostatically controlled, takes up less room than regular heaters, and does not have hot surfaces since a fan blows out the hot air, I think it is great. I would recommend it to anyone under the same circumstances.Honest reviews on Lasko 5355 30-Inch Ceramic Pedestal Heater
I bought two of these last winter to help with the heating bill. They worked great until they burnt out. The first one made it about six months then we noticed the thermostat became very incosistent. Shortly after that it turned off and would not turn back on. The second one made it almost to the end of its second winter, but bit it just like the first one. I wish they would have lasted longer than they did.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lasko 5355 30-Inch Ceramic Pedestal Heater
This heater was easy to assemble, works flawlessly and most importantly, on the slower fan speed,it is so quiet we can leave it running while we sleep. The circulating feature helps warm more area of the room than our previous stationary heater was able to do. I especially like it because it takes up so little floor space, and is reasonably attractive, not squatty or industrial looking.Wednesday, April 2, 2014
Reviews of "Radiant" Hot Towel Cabinet Warmer with UV Sterilizer
I ordered this towel cabinet because I liked the UV light option and it also appeared to be white in color, which I prefer. It is more of a grayish-color than white, but so far I am happy with its performance. It really keeps towels hot (and I mean HOT!). I switch it on, prepare my towels with hot water and essential oils, place the towels in the cabbie, and by the time my client is situated they are good to go. I also use the sterilizer option without heat for facial brushed that cannot be placed in liquid disinfectant. I haven't been using it for very long, so I will update in the future if I experience any issues. Thus far, I am really happy with it.
do you want this in your treatment room. UM NO!

I wanted a hot towel cabinet that not only warmed up the towels very well, but had UV sterilization included. UV is a much better option then over-bleaching the towels to sterilize them due to the fact people may be sensitive to that. I wanted the best bang for the buck and I did a lot of searching and reading of reviews before I made my mind up on this and was still a little bit skeptical. When I received it, I was even more skeptical because I automatically saw it was plastic and looked cheaply made. Rack came a little bit crooked, had to bend a tiny bit to even it out. Color wasn't quite white, a little bit grey. But, Overall, nothing that would drive me nuts and nothing a client would notice. And most importantly, once I used it, IT WORKS! Heats up towels VERY well. They aren't just warm, but HOT just like they are supposed to be. I would have rated this product a 5 if it wasn't so cheaply made, but for the price, and the quality of how it actually works, I would recommend it to someone whose trying to save money but still wants something that works GOOD.Best Deals for "Radiant" Hot Towel Cabinet Warmer with UV Sterilizer

This is a nice addition for my practice! I gave it a 4-star rating only because of the odor. After several uses, and cleaning it seems to dissipate. The instructions were a bit lacking as far as how to clean and properly take care of the unit. I really am glad I purchased this. Overall, the functionality of the cabinet is perfect. Best Seabreeze SF8T "Slim Line"? 1500W Heater with Energy Saving Deals
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $97.52

We fired it off last night for the first time. It runs great and the fan isn't all that loud. The only problem I have with it is that it short cycles a lot when it reaches the temperature its set for. When it does reach the set point, it cycles on for about 10 seconds, off for a few minutes, then back on again, on and on. Very annoying.
If I decide to buy another small heater, I think I would chose a different one for sure.
The one I purchased is the SF8T model. The product is a hit and miss:
HIT...
1. Very slim and compact. I can put it on a coffee table top and isolate the heat towards me without having to turn on the whole house heating system thereby avoiding more expensive heating bills.
2. Retro-looking unit. Might be a turn-off to others.
3. Selectable power for more energy savings from a low 1,000W to a high 1,500W.
4. Simple controls that are easy to use ones you get the hang of it.
5. Heat-free, light outer polymer material that you can touch without fear of getting burned from a hot surface or static when touching a metal enclosure in a dry air environment.
6. A small handle at the back to help you carry and move the product around where needed.
7. Variable heat temperature with a fan that automatically spins on and off depending on the desired temperature.
MISS...
1. Poor manufacturing construction quality. I opened a few boxes that was shipped in two retail stores and the quality of the product varied. There are a couple of products with scratches and others with deformed polymer from the poor manufacturing process.
2. The small fan in my first unit was whisper quiet. I returned due to a deformed outer casing. The second unit has a noisy fan which sounds like it's not perfectly balanced on it's axis when spinning.
3. Although I like the retro look, I have to wonder why it can't be improved upon or refined better. The front controls look like a high school project from generic parts bin electronics store.
FINAL THOUGHTS...
It's hard to take this product seriously when you can find solid construction and good quality heaters made in China for half the price. I like the look of this retro heater that is a statement in itself. If they can take their manufacturing process seriously, they can broaden the appeal of their heaters to outside patrons apart from their very own Canadian people.

I bought this 3 years ago and it has worked really wel... that is until I went to fire it up this fall (what would be it's 3rd year of operation).
The fuel pump had issues after a bunch of work it's ok again... but the unit itself is showing signs of use (as in the front metal diffuser plate is just about melted through) this will certainly be the last winter for this unit.
Pros: has been reliable, lights quickly, minimal smoke and soot
COns: single speed, loud, not tri-fuel, difficult to refuel
In the end I'd recommend and re buy this unit it's cheaper than others and has served me very well to heat a shop/barn for 2 long Upstate NY winters.

I bought mine used, and have run it to winters heating tents for masonry work. This thing has been hammered with insane amounts of dust, which usually kills any other heater, and it just keeps chugging. I'm a little boggled that there's no air filters what so ever, but I'm happy not to change one all the time. Recently it's been having trouble starting in the mornings. It smokes a lot and I have to restart several times. Once it fires right, it's good for the day. I'll get around to cleaning it soon which I'm sure is all that's wrong with it. I still give it five stars, super quiet and burns clean. Cons.......definitely needs a thermostat and the thermal cool down is a little annoying. I've owned and worked in tents with many k1 heaters and this is the only one that doesn't leave me dizzy at the end of the day. Don't smell it on my clothes either. I hope they make a 150,000 btu soon. I'm sold.Best Deals for 70,000 BTU Kerosene Radiant "Sun Stream" Heater
There are plenty of heaters like this out in the marketplace, but few are as compact as this, which is advantageous when using it in a small garage. It's a snap to use and moves about easily when placed on a small mover's dolly so it can be positioned where one needs it. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it and highly recommend it.Honest reviews on 70,000 BTU Kerosene Radiant "Sun Stream" Heater
This was my second purchase of the same unit in 5 years. The first had finally worn out with a bad fan bearing and a cracked heater plate following 5 winters of nearly constant use. Pound for pound, this is the best portable kerosene heater on the market. It kicks out 70,000 BTU's in a small very quiet package. We run this inside an enclosed outdoor patio of 800 square feet. We're able to enjoy a warm climate controlled space through the winter months without shouting over the noise of a loud heater. There is virtually no kerosene smell and best of all, this sells for a very reasonable price. This unit is highly recommended.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for 70,000 BTU Kerosene Radiant "Sun Stream" Heater
