We have a small house, just under 1000 square feet. Any new appliance has to take up less square footage, if possible, than the one it's replacing. This Bosca fit the bill nicely. I was concerned, though, about a few things before I bought it. Was the hopper big enough to keep the stove burning 24 hours on a minus ten degree day? Was the force of hot air strong enough to warm up the farthest room? Was it easy to keep clean? Was it reliable?

I'll address each concern with answers, now that I've had this stove for one month. I should mention that I do not use this with a thermostat, so it is constantly on.

The hopper holds about 60 70 pounds, and during one very cold stretch that included a night with temperatures hitting 25 below zero, we kept it on medium high all day. The house stayed at 70 degrees with no other source of heat being used. The full hopper lasted almost exactly 25 hours at this rate. This is better than I expected. On normal cold days, say, 20 degrees above, we keep it on low and it lasts 36 hours.

The force of the blower is stronger than that of a stove I had that was designed for twice the area. Far better than I expected.

It is so easy to keep clean that I don't even need to wash my hands after vacuuming it. Because the air intake is from underneath, not through a space adjacent to the front glass as in so many pellet stoves, the front glass stays clean for days. The burn-pot is so ingeniously designed, and this stove is so efficient, that you can burn several bags of pellets before you even think of having to clean the burn-pot. And when you do, you'll see it's a two-part pot: you pull out the U-shaped part with holes, scrape it clean, and place it back into the burn-pot holder. Voila, you're done!

It has never let us down. We can set it, fill the hopper, go away for a day, and come back, and it's firing away beautifully.

Our experience with this stove has made us enthusiastic about looking for other appliances made in Chile.

This is a great thermostat. I live in Michigan, and I have a, well insulated, home office built into one side of my garage. I have used a cheap ceramic electric heater (with a fan and built in thermostat)for 14 years. Until I got this thermostat, the temperature had always varied widely. Most of the time I had to wear a sweater to work in the winter. From January of this year until summer, the Dimplex thermostat kept the temperature constant, with the same heater.

The heater is in front of my desk on the floor, and I mounted the thermostat about 6 feet up, on the wall next to my desk. I have a digital clock, with a thermometer on the opposite wall. Every time I looked at it, from January until I put the heater away for the summer, the temperature was 73 degrees or rarely 72.

The wiring was a little trouble, because the thermostat is on the opposite wall from the out;et for the heater, but it was definitely worth it.

I would recommend this to anyone.

I bought this heater because they keep the temperature so low at my work. Some days I can't even type because my fingers are so cold! I plug this little heater in every morning, and it keeps my cubicle nice and warm all day. I love that it has not only "Hi" and "Lo" settings, but also different temperature settings. The oscillating is another plus.

Note though, I don't plug this into my cubicle's outlet that would more than likely cause a fire or power overload. I plug it into a wall outlet that is next to my cubicle.

My unit is quiet and it does throw a lot of heat. The oscillating feature works well and appears to be robust.

The controls are incredibly simple and easy to use, with 1 button cycling through all combinations of power levels and temperature settings and 1 switch for oscillation.

However:

1. The thermostat and control unit at the top is poorly ventillated and is heated by the elements.

2. The control unit generates a lot of heat. This warms the temperature sensor as much as 10-20 degrees F above room temperature, so the heater will only warm the room to 60 to 70 degrees F at the highest setting of 80 F.

Of course this is a good thing if you want to save energy.

The heater has been working great so far, no problems, that I have seen, looks good. The biggest somplaint I would have is that even though it is digital as advertised the steps are too big between the settings. 5 degrees is kind of steep between 70 and 75. 75 can be too high and sometimes 70 can be too low. If it is on 75 might as well just have it set to continuous, on 70 it can leave you wishing it would come on because the room is cold. At least one more step at 72 would have been useful. Other than that, the output is great even when set on low, have not really even needed the high setting so far.

This machine is handy for a small room. It definately gets hot. I really like that it has so many setting options for heat temp. I also like the way it oscillates I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because what I don't like is that the vent grille kept coming off the back. It is definately not a quiet machine. It is a little too loud if you don't want anyway to know you have it under your desk and gives off a vibrating noise when put on high.

I ordered this fireplace 2 month ago with promice to ship whitin 48 hours. I recieved it in 3 weeks. When I opened the box, the top panel was completely crashed and broken due to the bad packaging. I requested to replace the fireplace. For two weeks I got a lot e-mail with request to make a picture of the broken part and so on. Finaly I provided a full information with sku and number. In one week and half I recieved a box with replacement part. When I opened a box I was shocked, they sent to me a top panel from corner fireplace (it is obviouse from the picture and order description it is a flat mantel). After two month I paid money for this order I still have a lot of problem and there is no solution.

We really like the look if the fireplace. However, ours is a gel fuel fireplace which looks exactly the same but doesn't use electricity. Either way we are enjoying the look of it.

I was told by the furnace guy that this mother board was toast and the replacement for labor and materials

would be $ 650. I bought this one through Amazon for $85 and installed it myself. It looks identical to the old one (12 yrs. old), with the exception of a couple tabs. I did'nt cross check myself on the wiring schematic and initially toasted a small transformer (another $30). Having corrected that though, everything worked perfect the very first time.

I love this coffee maker! We are big coffee drinkers. I bought this one because it made 2 extra cups of coffee. When my family is here, we can go through five or six pots of coffee. My search for a good coffee maker is over! I tried and returned 4 coffee makers to the store before finding this one on Amazon. The ones that I returned were from Jura, Krups, Braun and Delonghi. All good names, but the coffee was weak or not hot enough.

This Cuisinart has smart features including a bold/mild setting, 1-4 cup setting, warming plate temperature control, glass carafe (that doesn't drip) with a removable top for easy cleaning and a compact footprint. The coffee brews quickly and quietly. The result is a rich, hot, smooth cup of coffee. I routinely make 6 cups in the morning on the bold setting and occasionally a full pot on the mild setting when guest come over. In both cases, the coffee has been excellent. The overall design is sleek and it looks great in my granite and stainless kitchen. This is a new model for 2010 and Cuisinart definitely got it right.

Well, i was originally going to buy the DCC 1200 12 cup brewer, however, I went to Costco to see what they had there first before i purchssed the same product online. Well Costco didn't have that model but THIS 14-cup model instead for a phenomenal price of $60!!! So, I went back home, read the reviews for this model and was instantly swayed to purchase this it at Costco. I love everything about it! I am veeery particular in coffee pots because I am very picky when it comes to how well my coffee tastes, how warm it is, etc. This was perfect!

I purchased this heater about three or four years ago. It has worked trouble-free since then. It is compact for easy storage when the weather is warm, and it works very well for heating a small to medium-sized room.

It has a cut-off switch, if it's accidentally turned over, and it has a variable heat knob with a thermostat. It is also possible to run the fan without any heat, for simple air-circulation -although my Vornado fan does a better job.

I must admit that if I had read a couple of the previous reviews of this product before I actually bought it, I might have been worried and maybe not have purchased it. But my heater has worked perfectly with many, many hours of continuous use. So, I highly recommend it.

As for company customer service, I have no idea because I haven't had to contact the company for any reason.

this little heater is not inexpensive to purchase but it works as well as those twice and even larger in size. The porcelain "chips /wafers" , whatever , serve as the heating element instead of wire resistors as in other plug-in fan type heaters and I have not compared electrical draw but it's small, quiet, and it heats a space like much larger heaters would. I am very pleased with the product and would buy another if I didn't live in such a small space. Perfect for instantly heating your bathroom and it also has a temperature setting so you can use it to regulate heat in your space just as you would any temperature controlled heating device.

This is absolutely one of THE best heaters ever! I purchased this heater last year and absolutely love it! Two things that I was looking for in a heater were a tip-over switch and a thermostat...and this heater has both of those things. The excellent customer service was a bonus. I had a few questions and called the 800 number and got a live person (something you can hardly get these days). I noticed that two people wrote that their heaters caught fire, but maybe they didn't clean the filter? It has a dust filter in the back that you have to clean every once in a while. I checked with the manufacture before returning this unit for credit. The heater is designed go to a low power output when the desired temperture is reached but not to turn off. I like to leave a heater on in a small office to keep the chill off some plants during cool nights and weekends. So I don't forget to turn it on I leave the heater power on and the thermostat set to turn the heater on when the room gets chilly. With this heater not turning off the room gets way to hot on a relitivly warm day. With people becoming more and more energy concious I can't believe a manufacture would design a heater that does not turn off when it is no longer needed for heat.

Very disappointed! The control knob for powering on/off/fan/heat broke after only a 7 weeks of use. Poor Pelonis customer service that do not respond to emails. Shipped the item back to Pelonis (about $10 USPS), and a replacement was shipped back, very poorly packaged--actually no packaging, just the flimsy cardboard box the heater comes in.

I bought this heater because I have an original Pelonis Disc furnace that is about 20 years old... not heavily used, but always worked great. My wife wanted a heater to keep her outdoor cats warm in the attached garage during the real cold periods of winter. So I looked for another Pelonis disc furnace as I wanted to still use my original in the basement, and the newer models seem to have additional 'safety' features.

While getting this one replaced, I purchased a HeatSafe HS-4025 ceramic heater that I like much better as it has a lower 1000W setting as well as the 1500 Watt setting. The Pelonis HC-451 only has 1500 watt, which will trip your circuit breaker if being used by other electric appliances.

And the HeatSafe was about half the price of the Pelonis HC-451.

Oh yeah! The best thing for keeping your outdoor cats warm (I'm allergic to furry animals, so they can NOT be in the house!) is a "Heated Kitty Pad". I bought 2 of these for my wife's cats, and they just love them !

I have been wanting an electric fireplace for a very long time. This one popped up at huge discount one day and I bought it, without regret. It was very easy to assemble and put into place by myself. I am very pleased with the look of the piece and the flames are very realistic....I keep expecting to hear crackles! A portion of the top metal frame was bent, it doesn't take away from the appearance and the fireplace functions exactly as it should. It is quiet except when the flames are set on the highest settings; then you here the click,click,click of the mecanism inside. I love my fireplace and recommend this purchase....I can't say that I would purchase it at nearly $2000 though.

I bought this product for the ease of storing in between uses. It inflated without much trouble, and was pretty sturdy. It would be nice if I could get both feet in at once though. I have owned 3 of these heaters. They last about 2 years and effectively heat about 800 sq ft. The company has great customer service. I set the thermostat and leave it alone. My house is 1200 sq ft, open rambler. The sole source of heat was propane, which is expensive. The propane stove is set to come on when the temp in the house drops down to 64, which is at night. The heater is in the living room and keeps the house at 68 during the day when I'm gone. When I'm home I set it to 70. Do not set the Comfort Zone at the economy mode as it will run none stop. Set it at the middle mode and then it will be energy efficient and turn off when it reaches 1 degree above the setting and will turn on when it falls 1 degree below the setting. The Comfort Zone is more efficient and costs less to run then my friend's Edenpure Amish heater that cost twice as much. It keeps about 800 sq feet warm, the outer areas are cooler. I don't remember exactly what the cost per hour is but it isn't much. The power is on 24/7 from about Oct through April and costs about $20 a month compared to a tank of propane at an average of $500 a month. Before the Comfort Zone I was having the propane tank filled every month from Oct through April. $20 vs. $500, it is well worth the savings. I have a separate Comfort Zone in my sunroom which isn't heated. It comes on in the late evening and keeps the sunroom at 60 otherwise it drops to 44. I've had black, walnut, and cherry they all work the same. I recommend them to all my friends. The one drawback is while they keep the house at a consistent temp, they do not permeate the heat like propane does. Again $20 vs. $500, it is well worth the savings. Read the manual and clean it the way it says to so it keeps running efficiently. I live in the Pacific NW. Hope this helps.

Unit shuts down when small internal tank fills with condensation. Must empty/drain daily in warm weather, or weekly in mild weather. Drain is very close to floor. So close a deck of cards will not fit under drain. The unit weighs 65 lbs. It is very hard to lift, tilt and drain into a bowl, or can. I contacted customer service and asked for tips or suggestions. I was hoping that they could suggest something that others had used to solve the problem. Customer support said each customer must do what works for them. I heard,"You bought it, it's your problem, figure it out." I think I will try to find a small sturdy plant stand, or table to set the unit 4 or 5 inches off the floor. Then I can put a good sized pan or conainer under to drain and only need to empty the water once r twice a week. I hate standing on my head or crawling around on my knees trying not to slop water all over In fairness the unit preforms well, is sturdy, ez to use and all around very good. But now I need to build or buy some Rube Goldberg system to take care of a problem that could have been cured with bigger wheels, or some how raising the unit 2 or 3 inches before selling it to the public and making it the consumers problem. This would be a great unit if you had sloped concrete floors in a garage.

This unit is easy to set up , made well . It cooled an upstairs bedroom in a poorly insulated house , fairly large room at that , eventually got it down to 70 degrees .No problem with it spitting moisture or needing to be drained as it says in its item description,even in a high humid room.BUT ,is this thing LOUD . On the lowest setting its noisier than any other AC I've ever owned.I had it running 2 days and gave up on it ,Threw my old AC back in the window because I could not sleep through the noise this monster makes ,and Im a person that can fall asleep anywhere with a TV blasting .This thing kept me up 2 nights in a row .I had to shut it down.Its more suited for a large wreck room , cellar,garage, or outside enclosure where noise wont be an isssue and it can be pushed off into a far away corner !!

Now I dont know what to do with it and Im $350.00 bucks lighter in the wallet ......

Im back to finish this review after this summer of 2013 . These portable ACs are not worth the money ! The design is flawed ! The hot exhuast hose is fed out the window ,but it is constantly re-warming the air in the room because it is so hot. Most very hot days ,this unit could NOT get the roon cooler than 80 degrees . I stuck this unit back in the box and said forget it !! Ordered an regular 8000 window AC from Walmart for $200.00 , What a difference in cooling! Finally its comfortable in the room....

i had a 6000 btu unit in a window in this room.i decided to leave it there while i was installing the 12,000 edgestar portable AC.in a window alongside it. about 2:00 in the afternoon.i turned the portable on and shutoff the 6000 btu unit. the room got warmer by 12 degree's over the next 2 hours while the outside air got cooler. it is now 4:00 in the afternoon mid july in n.y. over the next few days i kept comparing the difference between both units. i decided to keep the 6000 unit in the room and put the portable in a smaller room.because it was too much of a bother to repack to return the unit.

ORIGINAL REVIEW 5/22/13

Our Kenmore Estate dryer stopped heating last week. I took it apart and found the heating element was broken in one spot. The decision I had to make was should I buy this cheap replacement one for $20 shipped or the OEM one from the Kenmore website for $80+. Since it's such an easy part to replace I decided to try my luck with this cheaper element. It arrived today, I installed it and the dryer is heating just fine. I'm giving it a 4-star rating because 'I like it' and so far (1 day) it's been working fine. I'll be sure to update this review as time goes by to help give potential buyers a better feel for whether this heating element is the right choice for them. So far so good!

I don't understand why ours keep going out. The first one went out after a week, the 2nd one just recently went out over the weekend after 3 months. I have a house full of people so it is just as cheap for me to keep buying them versus going to a laundry mat. I'm hoping this one will hold me over another month until I can buy a new set. I hear some good reviews then some bad. The item does show up in a timely manor and they did replace the one after a week. I'm not going to pursue it this time. We picked up a broken used dryer for my daughter from a neighbor that was throwing them away. The only thing wrong was the heater core had broken. It is easy to test for this with a Ohm meter. If you don't have continuity across the 2 connections of the element then it has a break in it somewhere and can't heat up. It has to be replaced and this replacement appears to be a quality piece.

This isn't the first time this part has gone out on my dryer. The first time it happened I bought the part locally for 3x the price. I remember that when I fixed it that time, it wasn't an original manufacturer product, but it did work so I didn't mind. Fast forward about 18 months and the same part is broken. I called the same place and they wanted the same amount. I asked them for the part number and decided to check out amazon. Sure enough, same non-OEM part but 1/3 the price. I expect this one to break in a year or so but it beats buying a new dryer.

This fixed the issue I had with my dryer not heating. It took about 5 minutes to install once the back was off of the dryer. I took the time to replace a few other components while I was back there. They were all fairly cheap and available via PRIME

Looks much nicer in person than online. Wool, soft, thick and easy to clean. Stands up to much abuse and a quick vacuum and looks new again. Looks great in front of the fireplace.
