We have this heater in our bedroom so that we don't have to heat it during most of the day. It works just fine, but the fan is pretty loud at night and wakes up both my wife and I occasionally. We also have the larger version from the same manufacturer and it is more quiet. I wish I would have gotten another of the large-size instead of the smaller one.

I knew from researching that these little heaters were designed to supplement the existing heating source--not replace it-and that results would vary according to various factors. While most brands had similar features, I chose this one for its compact style and good looks. (it resembles an old-fashioned cabinet radio) Like everyone in cold winter areas, the ever-higher cost of fuel keeps one hand on the thermostat and the other on the wallet, and keeping costs down was the primary reason for trying this infrared heater. I wanted to use the heater where we spend the most time: in the living/family room where the T.V. is. My concern was that this first-floor room did not meet ideal criteria: it's part of an open floor plan, has a staircase for heat to escape, lots of windows, and the only independent electrical outlet would put the heater toward the furnace thermostat. My plan was to use the Lifesmart about 12 hours during the day hours (we are night workers) and see if we could feel adequately warm while burning less oil. Here's what I found:

The heater will keep the area a few degrees warmer than your furnace thermostat is set for. You're not going to get an 80 degree room when your thermostat is set on 62. Sunny winter days are the exception--the room's temperature will rise more on those days, and the Lifesmart will actually cycle off. When the room temperature feels comfortable, the low setting will maintain it. (great feature) While the heater is running, guess what's not kicking on as often: the furnace. (cha-ching) There is definitely a cozy feeling with this type of heat, in the room in which it's used. It helps to pay attention on a daily basis to various conditions so you can adjust accordingly from high to low setting, or to raise or lower the furnace thermostat, etc. We crunched a few (kilowatt hours) numbers, but I think we'd have to do that over a few seasons for any data to actually make sense. We used about as much oil as we did last year during the warmest winter on record--and this winter was far colder.

Yes, the second floor was cooler when operating the Lifesmart--no surprise there. Yes, the electric bill was higher, but only about 60 dollars a month in comparison to, say, an extra hundred gallons of oil saved. We chose to keep the thermostat low (64 and even 62) for the savings, but could've kept the temperatues even warmer without spending more than usual. In a smaller area, in rooms that could be closed off, in differenct situations than ours, the results would even be better. The Lifesmart looks good, is light and the filter easy to remove and maintain, and I am very pleased with the purchase.

This heater is great for a bed room. It will keep the chill off. I thought it would be better on the electric bill than it is. My bill with a months use when up 70%.

The unit itself was delivered on time and works out of the box. I have other Infrared units and wanted this one for a closet and for that confined space it works very well. The write-up suggests the unit can heat upto 800 sq feet which I highly doubt and is only good as a suppliment to traditional heating. Its also a lot louder than my larger duraflame unit so if noise is a concern this may not be the best unit for you. Also don't buy the hype that it will save you 30%-40% on heating. Overall if you are looking to heat a small area and don't mind a moderately noisy blower this unit works great for the price.

I bought this heater based on some reviews the features mentioned in other reviews I actually mostly agree with. It is quiet, it has a nice display and the unit is small. But as far as effectiveness as a heater it stinks. Unless you're heating a very small room it's inadequate. I have some other small space heaters and they are more noisy but they run less and heat more. I'd trade the quiet for better throughput. When the vornado runs for a long time (hours) The output seems to be noticeably less warm than when it first runs. The unit also has a safety feature which automatically turns it off in case it's tipped. This is a great safety feature that should be in all space heaters but on the vornado the switch is so sensitive that it sometimes turned off even if it's just lightly bumped even though it's still sitting completely upright. Even on hardwood floors I have to go press the unit down to get it to start heating again. I would not buy another and am even more upset at its poor heating given its high price.

I purchased the heater for our bathroom. I have been through quite a few bathroom heaters. It's the only room that I want a little toasty. This so far is the best, it's quiet, so quiet I didn't think it would work, but quickly effective.

We got this heater to maintain the temperature in the nursery without having to heat the whole house. It's great! I was always worried that my little one would get too hot or cold during the night. This gives me one less thing to worry about. Bonus points for providing pleasant t white noise and for being a fan (noted for reducing risk of SIDS). Worth the price for the reassurance but still high in my opinion.

Honest reviews on Vornado iControl Whole Room Vortex Heater, Automatic Climate Control

When I was a young adult, I was amazed at the neat little room heaters that became popular. They were basically just heating coils that generated heat out the front of the little metal box that sat on the floor. They were power drains. They were dangerous.

Technology has gotten better and better. Now, with our Vornado, following the instructions, we can strategically place it in a room and it creates a vortex of air that deflects itself around the entire room. This little device packs a punch.

Sometimes, my wife wants instant gratification when her feet are cold. She will aim it at her feet in the conventional way we used space heaters. This little gem works great in that mode also.

...from heaven. This is possibly the nicest heater I have ever owned/seen. Quiet, safe, cool to the touch, 2 heat modes, and a fairly accurate temperature sensor. The controls on the heater are kind of a hassle and I much prefer to use the remote. Besides that I LOVE this heater. Well worth the $150 IMO.

The good: the concept is awesome you push the button when you start getting ready for bed. The first 15 minutes the unit goes to high and the sheets are toasty warm when you hop in then the unit goes to the setting you selected. Both my wife and I found that LO or 1 was plenty! If you get up in the morning and forget to turn it off... it then turns off after 10 hours. All in all terrific concept and warms things right up.

The bad: the transformers... since the unit is DC there are transformer boxes that sit on the floor. The issue here with both transformers is the high pitch whine / buzz that they make when converting AC to DC. That sound is made worse by the on/off cycling that the unit does based on the temp setting (cycles off more on LO than on HI). There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it short of unplugging.

The awful: The manufacturer said some sound is "normal" and since both units do it it must be normal. So back to Amazon it went.

Very disappointing because it was nice getting into bed with warm sheets but then not being able to fall asleep because of the horrible sounds... well... you get the point.

There are lots of reviews here, but only one mentions the noisy transformer problem, so I would like to share my experience with that.

We purchased our first queen Soft Heat mattress pad from Costco about 6 to 8 years ago. At that time, the electrical connector on the pad was smaller than it is on newer versions. After a couple of years, we noticed a faint burnt odor and saw that the connectors had become brown. We contacted Soft Heat, and they immediately sent us a replacement mattress pad with new controllers and an updated connector that was significantly larger. We have not had a problem with the connectors since then.

However, at some point we started noticing a strange noise in the middle of the night. It sounded sort of mechanical and sort of melodic, sometimes like an ink jet printer in the distance, or sometimes kind of like a telephone dial tone. It was one of those sounds that is really hard to locate the source of. It was quiet enough that we thought it was coming from farther away. Finally, weeks later, we held the Soft Heat transformers up to our ears and realized that they were causing the noise. Even when the mattress pad was turned off the noise would be there, and could only be stopped by unplugging the transformers.

We contacted Soft Heat, and they immediately sent us replacement transformers. The replacements also had the noise problem. We contacted Soft Heat again, and they said that their engineers were aware of the noise problem, and were working on a solution. This was maybe in 2008. A recent reviewer stated that the transformers are still noisy as of March 2010.

We decided to plug the transformers into power strip next to the bed, so we could switch them off in the middle of the night. This solved the noise problem in an inconvenient and inelegant way.

If it weren't for the noise, this would be a five star review. They heat well, and we don't feel the wires when we sleep.

The noise is subtle, and it's possible we only noticed it because our street was super quiet at night. But, once we heard it, we found it hard to get to sleep until we had stopped it.

Based on my experience, most if not all of the Soft Heat transformers make a noise. I think other reviewers should hold the transformers up to their ears and report back on any noise they hear.

This product could not be improved upon. It is soft, you feel no wires. It has a wide range of heat settings. I have not gone higher than 6, which is quite warm, but 1 is very mild, barely perceptible. Although it's a little pricey, I am not sorry I sprang for it, as it allows me to do with minimal heating of the room over night. I'm also happy about the reputation for safetybecause it is always stretched flat, it cannot bunch into a ball, overheat and catch fire as an electric blanket can. Also, unlike how it is with an electric blanket, the heat feels as if diffused throughout the bed, rather than localized in the heat source.

Honest reviews on Soft Heat Warming Mattress Pad

I love this product. I have ordered this mattress warmer for each family member. This warmer never has hot spots. I have had mine, just over 5 years,I wash it as directed at least twice a year. However I never put it in the dryer.I have a new one waiting in case mine goes out , I will have another ready to go.

When I had this warmer for a little over a year, the power box quit working. I notified the company , and had a replacement with in a week.I never want to sleep in a bed that doesn't have this warmer. Any one buying this product will find it much better than an electric blanket.

and safer too.

Everyone loves this pad except for the "transformer noise". The purpose of this review is to explain what is going on and how to remove the noise.

What everyone is calling a transformer is actually a switching power supply. A switching power supply does indeed have a small transformer in it, but the transformer is operating at 14-20 kHz (cycles per second), which allows it to be relatively small. The sound put out by a switching power supply is such a high frequency that many people will not be able to hear it at all. That is why some people say they hear nothing at all while others are bothered by it. My guess is those who find the noise annoying are people who do not listen to lots of rock music. Those of us who listen to loud music have long since lost the ability to hear sounds above 15 kHz.

If you own one of these blankets and wish to get rid of the sound, put a large soup bowl or other bowl over it. The bowl size must be large enough to avoid an overheating of the enclosed powersupply. First time you try this, check to make sure the power supply is not getting too warm. High frequencies will not escape from underneath the bowl provided the power supply is on a carpet or placed on a hand towel.

A safer alternative to the bowl approach is to find a one foot piece of metal pipe with a diameter large enough to put the power supply inside. The pipe will not transmit the high frequencies effectively, and should remove the noise. If you can still hear the sound, try putting a hand cloth in the end facing out. The pipe should be metal to avoid resonating with the power supply.

Finally, if all else fails, buy an acid rock CD and listen to it full blast with earphones. I promise you will not notice the "transformer noise" again.

I bought this window unit over 4 years ago and Ive used it every summer since. Every year when I bring it out of storage and plug it in, it works wonderfully. It keeps our home comfortable and it does not have a huge impact on our electric bill. Highly recommend!

AC unit is powerful and has a reassuringly even and gentle sound. One thing it is not, however, is quiet. If one uses it in a mobile home (my situation!) there is no part of the house where it is inaudible, at least with the doors open. I can deal with it as I like the sound, my insomniac spouse cannot.

This isn't a bad thing by any means. She is impossible to please. Just be aware of what you're buying a powerful, unobtrusive-sounding but loud cooling unit. Oh, and it can blow cold air in two directions at once which is awesome.

I bought this unit to put in my bedroom. This is an old farmhouse so the air circulates freely throughout the house in a circular manner with my bedroom being at the far end. That part of the house get warm. We already own a Fridgedaire and it just does not do much of anything at all even though it has more BTU's. Hubby suggested I get the 8,000 instead of a larger unit for my bedroom since it is a small area. On high cool this machine cools the whole house while the living room Fridgedaire is only an assist. Granted it is rather noisy but at night I put it on low cool or low dry and it does not bother me much at all. I would think that one would have to take this into consideration before buying. I preferred having the cool during the day and I am not sorry I bought this product in the least, it pushes out the cold air far into the room and the directional adjustment is far superior over the Fridgedaire. I Highly recommend the Artic King over other units if you want cool.

It did raise the Electric bill but If you can afford an Air conditioner, you can afford the bill.

I previously had a propane patio heater with a pilot light. What a pain! This heater with a pilotless direct ignition is fantastic. It lights right away, then shut it off when you are done. No getting on a stepstool and peering into the heater to see if the damn pilot light is lit. Plus, they blow out, not to mention that the thermocouple does not last and then you might as well throw them away, since they are not easy to repair. With this unit, you turn it on when you want to use it and then shut it down. Much easier to use and worth the extra money. Unit is not too heavy, so easy to move around on the built in wheels. A bit disappointed that the "stainless" steel base is beginning to rust in only a few months, but I can probably get it off with a little steel wool. Assembly is about 45 minutes and instructions are good. I am buying a second one and would never go back to a model with a pilot light. Get a patio heater cover for it also. Exposing the burners and ignition system to the elements most likely shortens the life of a heater significantly.

I'm very disappointed in the value proposition of this product. Upon arrival, one of the heat shield panels was dented, making it very difficult to assemble. The bolts supplied with the product are the cheapest bolts possible. I sheared a bolt in half while tightening it. The holes to assemble the parts together are poorly machined and don't always line up with each other.

Now after 1 month of being outside in a fairly cool northern California spring, the center post of my "stainless steel" heater has rust marks.

For the price of the heater, I'm not impressed with the quality of workmanship and I'm concerned of the overall durability of this product to stand up to the elements. If this was a $150 heater, I wouldn't be as upset. However, for $300, I would expect a much better product.

Best Deals for Fire Sense Commercial Patio Heater, Unpainted Stainless Steel

Purchased this for enclosed patio / lanai in Florida. These patio heaters are very popular in Florida because there is a large part of the year when the evenings are just a bit too cold to sit outside. I did not want to spend $1200 on a real commercial model as it would only be used once a week at most. There is a unit on Amazon that goes for $179 and has decent reviews however some reported that it starts to rust rather quickly. I chose this higher priced model because it is made from the higher quality "304" stainless steel and should hold up better to the frequent rain and humidity in Florida. It took me 45min to assemble and was pretty straight forward, although the instructions are light on the details. The amount of hardware was much less than I expected and everything seemed to line up nicely. The heater fired right up and you CAN feel the heat 9ft away as advertised. I really like the pilotless lighting system. Time will tell how this hold up but I am expecting a few years of trouble free usage. I like that the company is here in Florida and specializes in patio accessories. Parts should be easy to come by as they make a lot of patio heaters (manufactured in China, serviced and distributed in Amelia Island, FL).

For $300, this heater meets my expectations.

Honest reviews on Fire Sense Commercial Patio Heater, Unpainted Stainless Steel

I was extremely disappointed in this product. It is absolutely not worth it! The parts are poorly made. It was almost impossible to put the heat shield together since the small nuts & bolts were not long enough to fit through 3 pieces of metal. I honestly had to wrestle the heat shield on the ground, and take it apart numerous times, since it all never lined up properly. When I finally did get the entire unit together, the ignition switch would not work, and the heater's main burner would not light up. After numerous attempts to make it work, I boxed it up and sent it back. To give you some sense of what a pain it was to put this heater together, the same day as I put the patio heater together, I also assembled a Weber Gas Grill. My father and I had more trouble putting the patio heater together than we did the finely crafted Weber Grill! Now with a new beautiful grill and no patio heater, I was going to order a patio heater from Restoration Hardware since I thought they would offer a higher quality product. What I discovered when looking at their specs, the heater they offered was actually the Fire Sense Deluxe Patio Heater offered on Amazon for $50 more then this originally ordered heater. Restoration Hardware offered the Deluxe heater for $449, but did include a cover with it. I opted to order the unit from Amazon at $304.00 and it arrived yesterday. I immediately noticed the quality of parts is much higher, and the heat shield went together without a glitch, also better designed as it has fewer pieces. Overall this new Deluxe heater went together smoothly, except for one MAJOR flaw in the directions! The Deluxe Heater stand is not weighted, and there is a plastic unit on the bottom that needs be filled with sand. You should fill the plastic tote as your first step before doing anything else. I put the entire heater together & then was going to fill the plastic bottle at the end, but with the weight of the sand, I could not re-attach it (I was working by myself this time). I ended up having to take the heater apart again, so I could wrangle the base and attach the sand filled weight. The directions do not say anything about filling the plastic tote! My Deluxe Heater starts right up & provides excellent heat range!! The moral of this story is, spend $50 more and get the Deluxe Patio Heater, forget about this shoddy unit!

I like to run something for a while before I provide a review. We purchased this in Sept 2011, and used it extensively last winter. It was easy to put together, although I say I am mechanically inclined. We use it in an outdoor covered patio and in our barn. Pretty easy to move without the tank in it. Lights every time on the first try and burns very clean. I brought home monitors from work to check for CO (carbon monoxide) levels as I was using it in the barn, which is mostly contained, (but a fairly drafty). CO readings were always zero at all levels and distances from the unit. Also, I was surprised that very little heat radiates above the unit. It does a very nice job at 'pushing' the heat downward. I have a Mr Heater garage natural gas unit now on the side patio and it seems to shoot a sizeable amount of the heat upwards towards the ceiling rather than down on us. I don't recommend you run this patio heater this way, but it is good to know that the beams above on the patio roof wont get hot if one of our inebriated guests decides to move the unit while I'm in the house. We also liked this particular unit because it has a flat surface on the tank cover. The surface is large enough for multiple beverages and/or ash-tray (for us cigar smokers).

I would have given this 5 stars, but I was a little disappointed that some surface corrosion was apparent shortly after using it a few times. It seems to wipe right off, and I hit it with some metal polish and is slowed its return. Otherwise, I love this heater.

I'm a beginner in heat embossing and I thought this set would be great for me...but I was wrong.

1.The clear stamp is beautiful and quite useful.

2.The stamp pad is OK. the Gold embossing powder is great, it give a very beautiful effect.

3.The green embossing powder is OK to me, but the effect is not as beautiful as the gold one.

4.The Black embossing powder it terrible, the effect is very ugly, it's bleed on my paper. and I will never use it on my work.

5.The embossing ink pad is terrible, it didn't hold the embossing and every time I use my heating gun on it, a lot of embossing powder was blow away. I use a pigment ink pad instead and turn out to be Great!

My suggestion: Don't pay more than $10 for it.

I am very pleased with the operation of these mechanical timers. I had installed the electronic timers in my other bathrooms but, this one bathroom did not have a common wire available so a mechanical timer was the only solution.

While you can hear the timer if you make a deliberate attempt to hear it, the timer is very quiet and is no louder than a quartz wall clock.

The timing feature is highly accurate.

Best Deals for Intermatic FD2HW 2-Hour Spring Loaded Wall Timer, White

This timer is the perfect replacement for the old bathroom vent fan wall switch. Before showering you just give it a twist and the fan runs till it times out. The new standard time for bathroom vent fans is recommended at a minimum of 20 minutes after the shower water is turned off to help prevent mold and mildew buildup on the bathroom walls from excess moisture in the air. This timer works great for that. If you need to run the fan for other stinky business you give it a small twist. It is working out very well for us. It was easy to install (just like changing a light switch, but make sure to follow the directions that are included.)

Honest reviews on Intermatic FD2HW 2-Hour Spring Loaded Wall Timer, White

I built a timer control for my Rigid rechargeable battery charger. I destroyed two batteries by leaving them in the charger for a week. Charger is not suppose to do that but after that incident the batteries would loose charge over night and eventually died. Warrantied the lifetime batteries. So I used a 4 square electric box, a cover plate with a duplex receptacle and rectangular opening for the Intermatic FD2H, and a 6 foot 14-3 gauge cord with grounded plug. Through all this in the blender and out came my timer controlled portable ac outlets. Other than the timer all parts were scrounged from my garage. The Intermatic FD2H timer has been around for years so it should last for a long time. In the future will make a similar device using the cheaper Chinese made Woods 59013 Decora Style 8-4-2-1 Hour Electronic Timer.

Timer stops counting down while switch is on, making this an infinity-hour timer rather than a 2-hour timer. If your intention is to use it to, for example, turn off the coffee pot automatically so that it doesn't burn down the house, look elsewhere: either for a more reliable timer, or a replacement house. The problem is a mechanical one: the mechanism used to tick off the seconds simply stops due to insufficient spring tension, or excessive friction on the moving clockwork parts. I attempted to solve the problem by introducing a drop of watch oil in various locations... no luck.

I will not buy another similar product from this company.

Cheap Hot Massage Stone Warmer - 6-Quart

Hot Massage Stone Warmer - 6-Quart
Customer Ratings: 3 stars

I purchased this item along with massage stones, as it was listed as an additional item at the bottom of the page. I assumed this was a special kind of warmer, due to it being labeled a 'Hot Stone Warmer'. When I received it I was disappointed to discover it's just a big crock pot. Really...I could have purchased one cheaper at a dollar store somewhere to serve the same purpose.

Over all, the quality of the pot itself is pretty good. It has a standard, one-setting option for preheat, and is sturdy. With water and stone weight, the handles didn't crack or pop, and it held up nicely. The lid, however, is cheaply made.

Upon using it for the first time, we followed what few instructions it did come with where it explains to place a towel in between the rocks and the bottom of the pot to prevent them from getting too hot. Even with the towel, the water became extremely hot and unit emitted a burning odor, although we never found anything burning. It may have just been a new use sort of smell. I let the entire unit, rocks and all, cool for over an hour to get it to a comfortable/tolerable stone temperature.

Anyway, my hubby loved the hot stone massage as a whole... ;) once they cooled down enough to use.

I'm not impressed with what it is for the money I spent. Seriously, just go find a cheap crock pot or an old one at a yard sale, you'll do just as good and probably have more temperature options.

This item is a stout piece of equipment and will get the job done. It appears to be made in Germany--all the instructions were in German and id did not say "made in China" anywhere. I am good with German quality. The item works as advertised and will have a long service life. In the course of an hour I was able to press out 48 bricks from my pre-soaked paper mash. This is a must-have item for anyone seeking to reduce their dependence on the grid. Skip the single brick maker and knock out the job in record time.

Took me a little while to get my process down. Once I did a little research on how to prepare the paper properly, I have been making nice full bricks that are very compact. Key to the process is not to get in a rush. Soak the paper for several days. Someone also suggested that you can add tbsp of bleach to the water and it will help to break down the paper. Just added some to my next batch, so we'll see how it goes. Newspaper works the best and it binds together really well. If I have a lot of regular paper, then I add some newspaper to the batch to help it hold together. As for the burning don't know just yet as my first bricks are still drying. It takes a few weeks for them to fully dry, so you need a place to store them on a rack until they are dry. Comparing the size to a regular piece of wood, they should burn for 30-45 minutes.

UPDATE: All is going well with this. I have somewhere around 200 bricks so far in about 4 months. The product does work as described and I have gotten consistent results. You need to have a designated area to hold/house the materials though. I have about 6 buckets with lids that I load shredded paper into, then when they are full I add the water, let it break down, etc. and do them in a large batch. Also before I start, I have a paint stirrer for a 5 gallon bucket that fits in my drill. I churn up the paper with that to help break it up into smaller pieces. Tried doing it by hand, but it was tiring! Getting the paper broken up into smaller pieces helps it to compact better and you have a denser brick. You have to have a wire rack or somemthing similar to dry these. It does take several weeks for them to fully dry. During the summer months when there was no rain, I rolled my rack out into the sun and it reduced the drying time greatly. Storing them isn't a problem as they stack neatly but you still have to have a spot to put them! It is a bit messy also, so that is why I like to do a larger batch at once on the back deck then I can wash it down as you are going to have little bits of paper everywhere. I did have the opportunity to burn some since it was cool this spring and they did very well. Burned around 30-45 minutes with not a lot of ash left. I plan on using these along with wood, but hoping to cut my wood usage by at least half. I hope this gives some help to those of you who are "on the fence" on whether to buy or not. Works great and I am happy with it.

Overall it is a good "go green" product that serves its purpose. The instructions came in German which is not a huge deal since it is self explanatory to use. It does need a lot of pressure to squeeze out the paper. I nor the other woman I did this with at the office did it very well. A man came by to help us which solved the problem.

Our first paper bricks did not come out very well. They did not bond as anticipated. They were soaked over the weekend with a tab of bleach, as was seen on one of the Youtube video'sperhaps this was why. Living in Alaska, the temperatures are still low during March =) We have had it sitting on a heater for 5 days and is still wet. I think it will take 2-3 weeks to dry.

Originally we got this for a youth group to use, which is still possible. Going to try again this weekend, without bleach, to see if that changes anything.

The product was as expected.

Process makes more of a mess than I thought. Bricks take longer to dry out than I thought. But this is exactly what they said it would be. I'm waiting to see what the burn time and ash production is.

This device is pretty amazing! We have recycled mounds of paper into burnable fireplace logs, plus the drying process puts needed moisture in the air. It has held up quite well and the "logs" stay together well when the paper is soaked long enough. Very handy!

This unit is truly prettier than I thought it would be. It matches my other oak furniture perfectly and the fireplace unit makes for cozy ambiance. It was very easy to put together and I got it together in a couple of hours. I did have help screwing in the small screws in the back since I was getting tired at that point in the evening but it was really very simple. I'd highly recommend this unit.

I purchased this bracket to mount a Dimplex EUH-series 5KW heater in my garage. The unit itself ships with a bracket made for ceiling-mount only. My ceiling is 10 feet high, and I wanted to place the unit at the 8-foot level.

Installation is straightforward. Take your measurements (don't forget to include the heater's drop from the bracket), find a stud, drill a couple of pilot holes then attach the bracket with two lag bolts. My wall has 2X4 studs, covered with 5/8" drywall. I used 5/16" X 3" stainless lag bolts. I wouldn't go any thicker than 3/8" if you're drilling into 2" studs, to avoid splitting the wood. The 5KW heater is 35 pounds the 5/16" bolts should easily hold this weight. The hardware for mounting the heater to the bracket is included, the lag bolts (and washers) are the only hardware you'll need to purchase.

This bracket is heavy-duty all the way, and Dimplex rates it for all their EUH heaters up to 12KW in size. Nice finish, would look good inside the house.

Only gripe is the price about 55 bucks. The heater is not cheap by any stretch, and including this bracket would be a nice perk. However, this is an industrial-grade heater designed to last a long, long, time. I can live with the added expense of a bracket to match.
