It takes two hours but it's worth it. My lid broke the first day I got it so now I use a saucer as a lid and it works great. Just make sure to hold it down so it doesn't fall while pouring.

I bought this for events in a cold, old house where the plates are always cold. I learned about this style of plate warmer from a friend. I did a bit of searching before I bought this and there do not seem to be others out there in this style. Price is high but it is well made and was shipped quickly. My friend almost fell over when I told her the price she had bought hers for about $25 many years ago!

I would never recommend this product to anyone. It takes hours to just gently warm up my dinner plates. I had to replace a Plate Warmer that I have been using for years and the contrast is so significant. On stop of that I felt that the price was very high so it has been a great disappointment. If I could have ever found the paperwork, I would have returned it.Honest reviews on Waterbridge Electric Plate Warmer - Holds up to 15 Plates - Faith

Discount Dual USB & 12V Heated Mug - BLUE
No bad. Solid construction. My main need, though, was to sit here in the basement and not go up to nuke my coffee in the microwave avery ten minutes to keep my sips warm. This promised to be able to keep warm from the USB connection. Not so -not enough juice there, I guess -at least from my laptop. In the car it was fine. And don't expect it to warm up your drink from a colder state. It will only maintain status quo.
The only downside we saw to the mug was the lid is push on vs screw on, so there is the possibility it could spill or leak if knocked over that being said, we have been using it for about a month now, no spills.
Overall a great product. Great quality mug. Great features.

Ok, so this product actually topped my list for my husband this year. When going for a product that is used everyday (for coffee and tea drinkers) this one takes it full swing. He loved its features and its geek appeal. It is very nice quality and the red strip around it is actually quite comfortable and slip proof. Nice. The plugs work just as advertised, and it keeps coffee warm in the car (and desk) on winter days..The only downside we saw to the mug was the lid is push on vs screw on, so there is the possibility it could spill or leak if knocked over that being said, we have been using it for about a month now, no spills.
Overall a great product. Great quality mug. Great features.

My wife and I each bought one of these and they both stopped working within 3 weeks.Honest reviews on Dual USB & 12V Heated Mug - BLUE
This is one of those products that will be can be rated anywhere from 1 to 5 depending on your needs. Assuming this product doesn't break, it will serve it's purpose for me. The USB DOES NOT keep coffee piping hot for an extended period of time, but when there is piping hot coffee going in, I can enjoy it for about the next hour. By the end of that hour it not hot as originally was, but still hot enough to be called hot. My cup of coffee is normally gone after an hour anyway. The heating mechanism basically serves the purpose of slowing down the natural heat loss from the cup of java. I hate the microwave, so I was looking for an at work solution to this age old dilema. I brought one of those insertable coils that broke on the first cup, so I'm hoping this doesn't break. So there is basically a progressive decrease in temperature over an hour or two, but 45 minutes later, I was still satisfied with a "relatively" warm-hot cup of coffee. If you need it piping hot as the initial minute or two, you might be disappointed. But I really hate when my coffee gets lukewarm, and I only need the heat for and hour or less, and until scientists invent a better solution, this will have to do. Oh, and I don't think this cup will turn likewarm coffee to hot or even nice and warm. Good looking cup though............Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Dual USB & 12V Heated Mug - BLUE
Not only does this mug keep drinks warm for quite some time on its own, but it reheats drinks that have gone cold. Ten minutes down the road with the charger plugged in, and your coffee/latte/tea is hot again -almost too hot, so be careful! Also, this mug fits in my VERY narrow cup holder without demanding that I wrestle it free to drink. I'd say 5 stars, except the charger imbued the packaged mug with a yucky petroleum smell that took some work to get out of the mug and lid (and is still there on the charger, but how do I wash that??).Wednesday, June 18, 2014

I previously had a propane patio heater with a pilot light. What a pain! This heater with a pilotless direct ignition is fantastic. It lights right away, then shut it off when you are done. No getting on a stepstool and peering into the heater to see if the damn pilot light is lit. Plus, they blow out, not to mention that the thermocouple does not last and then you might as well throw them away, since they are not easy to repair. With this unit, you turn it on when you want to use it and then shut it down. Much easier to use and worth the extra money. Unit is not too heavy, so easy to move around on the built in wheels. A bit disappointed that the "stainless" steel base is beginning to rust in only a few months, but I can probably get it off with a little steel wool. Assembly is about 45 minutes and instructions are good. I am buying a second one and would never go back to a model with a pilot light. Get a patio heater cover for it also. Exposing the burners and ignition system to the elements most likely shortens the life of a heater significantly.
Now after 1 month of being outside in a fairly cool northern California spring, the center post of my "stainless steel" heater has rust marks.
For the price of the heater, I'm not impressed with the quality of workmanship and I'm concerned of the overall durability of this product to stand up to the elements. If this was a $150 heater, I wouldn't be as upset. However, for $300, I would expect a much better product.
For $300, this heater meets my expectations.
I would have given this 5 stars, but I was a little disappointed that some surface corrosion was apparent shortly after using it a few times. It seems to wipe right off, and I hit it with some metal polish and is slowed its return. Otherwise, I love this heater.

I'm very disappointed in the value proposition of this product. Upon arrival, one of the heat shield panels was dented, making it very difficult to assemble. The bolts supplied with the product are the cheapest bolts possible. I sheared a bolt in half while tightening it. The holes to assemble the parts together are poorly machined and don't always line up with each other. Now after 1 month of being outside in a fairly cool northern California spring, the center post of my "stainless steel" heater has rust marks.

Purchased this for enclosed patio / lanai in Florida. These patio heaters are very popular in Florida because there is a large part of the year when the evenings are just a bit too cold to sit outside. I did not want to spend $1200 on a real commercial model as it would only be used once a week at most. There is a unit on Amazon that goes for $179 and has decent reviews however some reported that it starts to rust rather quickly. I chose this higher priced model because it is made from the higher quality "304" stainless steel and should hold up better to the frequent rain and humidity in Florida. It took me 45min to assemble and was pretty straight forward, although the instructions are light on the details. The amount of hardware was much less than I expected and everything seemed to line up nicely. The heater fired right up and you CAN feel the heat 9ft away as advertised. I really like the pilotless lighting system. Time will tell how this hold up but I am expecting a few years of trouble free usage. I like that the company is here in Florida and specializes in patio accessories. Parts should be easy to come by as they make a lot of patio heaters (manufactured in China, serviced and distributed in Amelia Island, FL).For $300, this heater meets my expectations.
Honest reviews on Fire Sense Commercial Patio Heater, Unpainted Stainless Steel
I was extremely disappointed in this product. It is absolutely not worth it! The parts are poorly made. It was almost impossible to put the heat shield together since the small nuts & bolts were not long enough to fit through 3 pieces of metal. I honestly had to wrestle the heat shield on the ground, and take it apart numerous times, since it all never lined up properly. When I finally did get the entire unit together, the ignition switch would not work, and the heater's main burner would not light up. After numerous attempts to make it work, I boxed it up and sent it back. To give you some sense of what a pain it was to put this heater together, the same day as I put the patio heater together, I also assembled a Weber Gas Grill. My father and I had more trouble putting the patio heater together than we did the finely crafted Weber Grill! Now with a new beautiful grill and no patio heater, I was going to order a patio heater from Restoration Hardware since I thought they would offer a higher quality product. What I discovered when looking at their specs, the heater they offered was actually the Fire Sense Deluxe Patio Heater offered on Amazon for $50 more then this originally ordered heater. Restoration Hardware offered the Deluxe heater for $449, but did include a cover with it. I opted to order the unit from Amazon at $304.00 and it arrived yesterday. I immediately noticed the quality of parts is much higher, and the heat shield went together without a glitch, also better designed as it has fewer pieces. Overall this new Deluxe heater went together smoothly, except for one MAJOR flaw in the directions! The Deluxe Heater stand is not weighted, and there is a plastic unit on the bottom that needs be filled with sand. You should fill the plastic tote as your first step before doing anything else. I put the entire heater together & then was going to fill the plastic bottle at the end, but with the weight of the sand, I could not re-attach it (I was working by myself this time). I ended up having to take the heater apart again, so I could wrangle the base and attach the sand filled weight. The directions do not say anything about filling the plastic tote! My Deluxe Heater starts right up & provides excellent heat range!! The moral of this story is, spend $50 more and get the Deluxe Patio Heater, forget about this shoddy unit!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Fire Sense Commercial Patio Heater, Unpainted Stainless Steel
I like to run something for a while before I provide a review. We purchased this in Sept 2011, and used it extensively last winter. It was easy to put together, although I say I am mechanically inclined. We use it in an outdoor covered patio and in our barn. Pretty easy to move without the tank in it. Lights every time on the first try and burns very clean. I brought home monitors from work to check for CO (carbon monoxide) levels as I was using it in the barn, which is mostly contained, (but a fairly drafty). CO readings were always zero at all levels and distances from the unit. Also, I was surprised that very little heat radiates above the unit. It does a very nice job at 'pushing' the heat downward. I have a Mr Heater garage natural gas unit now on the side patio and it seems to shoot a sizeable amount of the heat upwards towards the ceiling rather than down on us. I don't recommend you run this patio heater this way, but it is good to know that the beams above on the patio roof wont get hot if one of our inebriated guests decides to move the unit while I'm in the house. We also liked this particular unit because it has a flat surface on the tank cover. The surface is large enough for multiple beverages and/or ash-tray (for us cigar smokers).I would have given this 5 stars, but I was a little disappointed that some surface corrosion was apparent shortly after using it a few times. It seems to wipe right off, and I hit it with some metal polish and is slowed its return. Otherwise, I love this heater.

I bought this for my husband for christmas because he loves popcorn and we were working on setting up a tv/movie room in our new house. Best gift I ever bought! It looks great in the movie room and we use it all the time. I got the black one becuase the other colors seems too bright and didn't go with my decor at all. I like this better than the traditional red and yellow ones that you see every where. Also, other ones that I looked at were cheap looking. This one is really nice. Makes the great addition to any home. Especially for popcorm lovers or movie lovers! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a real vintage popcorm maker. Well worth the money!!

I purchased the Gran Maestria on April 20th and the first one would not work... I received a loaner (the Pixie) after waiting a week and received another Gran Maestria in about 3 weeks... it worked but had several unaccepted scratches on it and I sent it back for another one. I was told that it was at the discretion of the company to send me a refurbished unit. I received another unscratched unit and had it for 3 days and the unit made a loud pop and smoke came out of it and now it does not work. I have purchased over a hundred dollars in coffee and will try this experiment one more time before asking for my money back... the service people were very nice and apologized for my inconvenience but I want a machine that works...
The machine itself is great. It is made aluminum much higher quality that the more plastic Nespresso models. I like the fact hat you can easily change the volume of hot water going into your shot on the fly with other machines you can program to a volume, but that is about it. Having the frother right there is nice, the cup warmer is a bit of a gimmick but impresses friends and family. The machine is made in Switzerland and the fit and finish are first class. It is rock solid and after using it every day for the last 4 months I have yet to have any issues.
Overall you get what you pay for and this is a nice, no mess, quality machine. Just know what you are getting into with the Nespresso coffee universe...
I read a lot about the Maestria (and other Nespresso machines) being DOA. Well, mine was too. It made all the right noises, just didn't pump water. I figured the pump wasn't primed so I ran the descaling procedure a couple times and pumped a lot of water through the cup heater. Then I put it on the regular, espresso-making cycle and hit the luongo button several times. Each time the pump sounded a little different until finally the water made it out of the nozzle. So if your Maestria makes a pump sound but doesn't pump water, don't get upset, just be a little patient and do what I did.
It takes only 30 seconds for the machine to come up to temperature (lights on front stop blinking) after the power is turned on. That's how long it takes me to get a cup ready. After that, you can make espressos one after another without delay. This machine would work well for entertaining a lot of people. The temperature of the espressos and cappiccinos it makes is good. If you want a really, really hot temperature you might be disappointed. Yesterday I want to a Nespresso outlet in Costa Mesa California. The espresso I had there was much hotter (too hot in my opinion). The people working said the machines are used constantly and are hotter than normal home use.
The cup heater on the left side of the machine shoots a stream of hot water inside an inverted cup. The water drains into the drip tray. It has limited usefulness since it only works on very small cups. It's OK for espresso cups, but won't work with most cappuccino cups. The problem is that 3 switches on the Nespresso need to be pressed at the same time by the rim of the cup. But only the smallest diameter cups will press the switches. If the cup diameter is more than about 2.25 inches, it won't press all 3 switches. I've been warming my cups by filling them with a luongo shot of hot water. That way both the cup and the machine gets pre heated and primed. I wish they would have left off the cup warmer and made the footprint smaller.
The Aeroccino 4 froths the milk really well. You fill the cup up to the "Max" mark (which is a little difficult to see in poor light) and press the "on" button. There are 4 settings, cold frothed milk, warm milk, warm milk with loose froth (perfect for lattes), and warm milk with dense froth (perfect for cappuccinos). There is a circular wire wisk inside the Aeroccino 4 that sticks to the bottom on a small post by a magnet. It's really easy to remove and install. The wisk is spun quickly with a magnet under the cup. The milk doesn't burn since the inside of the cup has a non-stick coating. It's really easy to clean too. It's dishwasher safe, but it's just as easy to wipe out with a sponge. Advantages the Aeroccino 4 has over a steam wand are: 1. you can make cold frothed mild for cold drinks, 2. it is much quieter. Advantages of the steam wand are: 1. you can make much more frothed milk if you are making many drinks at once (the Aeroccino 4 is only good for about 2 drinks per batch), 2. you can make frothed milk much hotter).
The Aeroccino 4 is really quick and nearly silent too. It takes only about 90 seconds to make enough frothed milk for one or two lattes or cappuccinos. I found the temperature to be fine, but if you want really hot drinks you might be disappointed.
I really wanted to get the Maestria (not Gran), but I found a new Gran Maestria in Titanium color (a medium gray color) from a liquidator for half price. It was probably a return or store model. The box was a bit thrashed, but all the parts were present and accounted for.
I was surprised how small the unit looked on my kitchen counter. It's low enough to fit easily under my wall cabinets (which are 18.5 inches high) even with enough room to lift the capsule lever. He lever requires about 17.5 inches to open fully. The footprint is a bit big, so measure first if you're space limited. The footprint of the Maestria would be much smaller.
The construction and build quality is extremely nice. Most of the machine is cast aluminum with a nice paint job. The rocker-type power switch on the back and the two dials on the front have a silky smooth feel and look great. The grates that the cup rests on are chrome plated steel, not plastic like most. The machine rests on 3 small, rubber feet. When the pump is on, there is some noise, but not overly loud or obnoxious and the machine does not vibrate or walk around on the counter.
The two knobs on the front of the machine control the volume of each shot. The one on the left goes from 0.8oz 2oz and the one of the right from 2.35oz 5oz. I was skeptical how accurate these were, and I had read that the shot size wasn't consistent. So I tested the accuracy and consistency. After a lot of testingI found the shot sizes to be extremely consistent (within 1ml, or 0.03oz), and the volume was within 10% of the volumes stated on the Nespresso operator's manual for each setting.
The water tank is large enough that you don't have to fill it often. I suspect the Maestria with the steam wand uses more water. The tank is easy to remove and install. The used capsule holder and drip tray are also nicely sized for daily use without the need for constant emptying.
It looks like there is a cable routing feature to shorten the length of the power cable, but I can't figure out how it works. The cable is too thick to route around the tortuous path. So I coiled the cable up behind the machine and used cable ties.
Overall a really nice machine. I hope that helps.
The delivery from Amazon was fantastic, as usual, with Prime...
She unpacked the box, read the instructions, then filled the water reservoir. Unfortunately, when she tried to do the initial pump prime, nothing happened. She called the Nespresso help line. They were very helpful, but to make a long story short, her new machine is being shipped back to their repair center for repair.
We're both disappointed. Nespresso can redeem themselves with a quick turnaround, but if she has to wait weeks for a functioning machine... Well, we'll see.
I'm happy to report that we received the packing crate for the product return the next day. Packing the machine was easy. We dropped the package at the UPS store down the street that afternoon. The repaired machine was back at our home within 3 business days in perfect working condition.
The quality of the coffees that we've made have been excellent and have exceeded our expectations. I changed my rating to 4 stars, not 5, reflecting our initial DOA experience.
The end. Maybe don't purchase and have shipped.

I like the Nespresso System you have to join the "club" and the coffee is not the cheapest but it is great quality and the customer service is outstanding. I'm back from a recent trip to Italy where I drank cappuccinos nearly all day long. I have a Starbucks Barista, but it takes too long to make cappuccinos and clean up. It looks like there is a cable routing feature to shorten the length of the power cable, but I can't figure out how it works. The cable is too thick to route around the tortuous path. So I coiled the cable up behind the machine and used cable ties.
Overall a really nice machine. I hope that helps.
Honest reviews on Nespresso C520 Gran Maestria Espresso Maker, Titanium
I purchased this for my wife's birthday. She looks just like the woman on the Nespresso commercial, right...The delivery from Amazon was fantastic, as usual, with Prime...

Received the Nespresso Machine, plugged in and prepped and...it didn't work. Packed it up, sent it back. The end. Maybe don't purchase and have shipped.

Review of Bionaire BSH3818-U SafetySmart Heater
We decided that because of the high cost of heating that they are predicting for this winter that we would purchase a couple space heaters. I just purchased this a couple days ago at a local store, which happened to be more expensive than Amazon's price. We've set up the space heater in our Family Room and are quite happy with the warmth it has provided so far. It is also very quiet and doesn't look odd or out of place in our decor. It's light and very easy to move. The safety features are great.....once it tips even a little it stops. I'm sure that this must be a requirement for other heaters but we were happy with this feature as the kids are always running around and knocking things down. We'd hate to have it start a fire. I'm thinking about purchasing another heater for upstairs and will update this review if I have any negative feedback.

Just bought this at a local store for a bit less than here. It is amazing. It has a beam that shuts down the heater if something blocks it for more than 3 seconds and it puts out a lot of heat. I bought it for my bedroom but it could heat the whole upper level. The only draw back is no thermostat. Just on and off with a 4 hr timer option. Otherwise, I would buy this over and over again. Super heater.Best Deals for Bionaire BSH3818-U SafetySmart Heater
I purchased two of these units in the fall. For their size they really put out the heat, but that can be a problem, because they don't have thermostats. So on just a slightly chilly day you can really end up with the space your warming too hot for ones liking. The timer feature is helpful, but doesn't replace a thermostat. After months of use, one of the heaters stopped working for me, but the other is still going as good as the day we purchased it. I think this heater is a fair value for a price of $29.99.Tuesday, February 25, 2014

I purchased this heater about a year ago for use on our patio and have been generally disappointed with it. For one, it doesn't really put out much heat if you're more than a few feet away. Also, the device is clearly made for outdoor use, but housing is already rusting badly from exposure to the elements (and I live in southern California).

this device warms my feet when my foot is 1 inch from it it. my whole small room was not warm. i would say this is more of a personal heater. its only 34 degrees outside right now. maybe this will be better suited for a warmer state and for personal use. heat can only be felt 1.5 feet away, i feel no heat sitting three feet away. whith the device thermometer reading at 70 degrees my small room does not feel like that at all. seems like the thermalstat only measures the warm air right around it.
I think Honeywell HZ-7200 is better than this.

I purchased one of these recently on Woot for $130. Terrible purchase.
1) Way overpriced. As a fan, it's worth about $30.
2) The mister does not really work it does not create a "mist" like you'd expect it's barely more than a glorified humidifier, worth about $20.
3) The total value then is about $50.
ALSO: the design leaves much to be desired unstable and easy to tip over, casters do not stay in place and fall out, and the biggest joke is the DISPLAY which is this utterly annoying flashing LED display as if it were the speedometer of a car 0 really annoying and there's no way to turn the display off.
Also, the units power switch only affect the fan, but no the mister to turn the mister off you have to shut it off separately. And the front panel controls are poorly laid out and it is very difficult to read what each one it. The layout make no sense whatsoever.
In short, very little though has gone into this product. It is definitely NOT worth the $150 being charged here on Amazon.
Works great in Desert, under 6% humidity. Not a wet mist, just a cooling mist, but don't think would be good in higher humidity, over 15%. Been 110dg 3% humidity, really helps.

Discount Duraflame Ultra-Premium Gold 4-Pack 7LB Firelogs
I purchased these although there were a few poor reviews. I had been using the standard Duraflame logs. My opinion is the Gold logs burn much brighter and hotter. If the fire dies down a quick poke in the middle of the log will bring about large flames. I have found the burn time to be accurate. If you make fires as much as we do and want a more realistic burn, I would 100% recommend these.
PS, I have a sensitive nose and did not notice much of any fuel smell. I do keep a close by window slightly propped just for fresh air.
These work to heat the entire rec room and beyond.

I liked this product better than some others I have tried. Everything was fine except the last hour was just burning embers which I suppose is normal.
