I'd seen Warmrails in a store, and ended up at amazon looking for the cheapest model I could find. We had more towels than we had towel racks (a wife and three kids can do that to you), and my towel was rarely completely dry for my morning shower. I wanted, if nothing else, an extra free-standing towel rack to put it on to air dry. So I tried this.

It worked better than I expected. Not only is my towel dry each morning for my shower, but when we put two other towels on it after the kids have a bath, they're dry by morning as well! Three towels, folded (so there's a six-towel thickness) neatly over the top of the rack will dry just fine in just 8-12 hours -and the innermost towel ends up nice and toasty warm (the outtermost will basically be room temperature, maybe just slightly warmer on the half that's closest to the rack, but all three will be completely dry).

Some reviewers were disappointed their towels weren't toasty-warm -in that case, I'd suggest a higher-priced model with denser heating elements, or putting extra towels on top and using from the inside. The manual does point out that how well it works will vary according to where you put it in your home -in particular they recommend against any drafty places. Ours is in the master bedroom, just outside the master bath, and even with a ceiling fan on at times, it seems to do just fine.

All in all, it's more expensive than a towel rod from the local home store, but you don't have to attach it to the wall (a plus for me, as I didn't know where I'd put it if it weren't free standing). It's also probably cheaper on the electric bill (and easier) than dropping towels in the dryer each day.

I was very disappointed with the Warm Rails. The only thing that was warm was the 1 inch space of the towel on the top of the rail. I left it warming overnight, no improvement. I would not recomend this product to anyone who desires warm towels.

We even tried the suggestions of putting several towels on it at a time, this too failed. I got this about a week ago. I use this everyday to prevent towels from smelling like mildew. In winter, the towel seems to take forever to dry after shower, which often results in that foul smell. I don't think it "warms" the towel too well (barely lukewarm at best), but it does dry a wet towel pretty effectively. Prior to getting this warmer, I washed all towels after 2 showers, but now the towels smell clean and fresh longer. So don't buy it to use it as a "warmer," you may be disappointed. But it would be good to use as a dryer. And, oh yeah, I wish it were a bit smaller in size. It takes up quite a bit of space. Happy shopping!

I sooo have wanted a heated towel rack ever since I saw a hard wired one at a luxury home I visited. So I was thrilled when I saw Warmrails at the superstore near my home. It was priced at $49. I didnt buy it that day, but did return a few weeks later. It wasnt on the floor, so I made them get it for me from the storage room.

It was very easy to assemble you just snap the "feet" stands on. I was also impressed at how little floor space it takes up. I have a 3 ft X 15 ft bathroom, and the WarmRails takes up very little space and lines up well against the wall without actually touching it. The chrome is also an attractive design and finish, although mine didnt come with a wall mounting bracket.

Functionality is very 'meh'. Like the other reviewers, I am dissapointed with my Warmrails. My towels are not warm. The bar gets hot and the towels are fresh and dry, but not warm. I even out my robe on there and it didnt get warm either. Maybe this thing is good for households who re-use towels over and over and leave them hanging damp on the rack. When my towels are wet after the shower, I just throw them in the laundry (which doesnt amount to too much as I'm living on my own right now.) So I get fresh dry towels anyway.

I'm going to try to return this thing today and get my money back. I'll do some research and see if I can buy an actual towel warmer that *warms*.

This product is easy to setup out of the box, required little assembly and worked as advertised. This is my first experience with a Propane forced air heater (I have other kerosene space heaters) and I was pleased with the lack of smell while running but it doesn't seem as efficient as the kerosene heater of the same BTU output rating. Overall for the price I feel it was a good choice.

We did a lot of research before buying and am pleased to say these are exceptional for the money. Being that this heater is a duplicate knock off of the Dr. Heater we knew we were getting great heaters. We purchased our 1st one last fall and it's still going strong so decided to add another to combat the rising energy costs. We have electric baseboard heaters and they are too expensive to use. The automatic thermostats are very accurate and the heaters are easy to operate. You do have to let the heater run for a short while to burn off the oil smell. We heat a smaller ranch style home with these 2 and they keep the house at a nice comfy temp. I would recommend these heaters over the higher priced heaters to everyone.

My mom purchased this item for me as a gift to help with my energy costs. I was soooo excited when it arrived and plugged it right in! Worked awesome! I received it on a Friday. By Sunday afternoon I noticed it had stopped.... completely shutdown... no led light on for Standby... dead. I unplugged it, plugged it back in. I moved it to a different outlet, nothing, dead. I thought to myself, maybe it over heated. I waited hours, tried again, nothing. I tried emailing service at iliving, delivery status returned. Went to Iliving website, doesn't exist. I called this morning (Monday) the 866 number during business hours, nothing no answer, just a recording stating the business hours I was calling during. I left a message. I AM SOOOO BUMMED! This heater worked wonderfully for the 2 days that it worked. My mom works 40-50 hours a week for just over minimum wage and she out of the kindness of her heart purchased this heater for me to help me out and stay warm and cozy cause she is an AMAZING mother. I hope and pray I get a call back and that it doesn't take weeks to rectify this situation. I wanted a decent electric kettle to replace my stovetop teapot and my little "hot shot" water heater. This Breville electric kettle is perfect. It can heat a fairly large volume of water quickly. I don't need lots of extras (like "keep warm" features or tea infusers), and this is a simple-to-use solution that I really like. Just push the button, then get boiling water! Just installed in a 28 x 24 garage with an 8' ceiling (the ceiling is not completely insulated yet). It's a cold windy day (0 degrees wind chill), and this heater is keeping the garage warm enough to work in a flannel shirt. Without the ceiling being finished, much of the heat is obviously escaping right out the roof vents. I do believe that once the ceiling is completed, it will do a fine job in this garage.

Shipped quickly from Amazon with no damage; instructions easy to follow; installation was simple. Called Mr. Heater's Customer Service line with a simple question, and after punching a few buttons to get to the correct department, I actually spoke to a real person who also spoke English. Thermostat wiring could have been a bit longer.

Two points to consider when installing:

One, although overall very light, the heater is quite a bit heavier on one end due to the control valve, making it necessary to put a slight bend in the hanger to make it hang level. The factory could have positioned the mounting point slightly to the left to counter balance the heater, but this is minor and easily corrected.

And two, be patient about letting air bleed from the gas line and getting gas through the control valve when you first light the pilot. My supply line is less than 40' from the tank to the heater, but it took several minutes of holding the gas valve in at the 'Pilot' position to get gas to flow.

I'd recommend one of these to anyone with similar heating needs.

I just bought this a few hours ago. I hate ironing. I use standard business button-down shirts daily.

I have a portable chin up bar set up in a doorway that's perfect for hanging clothes on hangers, and it works great in conjunction with this steamer.

I think that if more people actually read the operating instructions, there would be more favorable reviews.

You need to keep the steam-head pointed upwards only, at all times, so that condensation can drop back down into the steamer. If you point the head in any other direction, you'll definitely get a little water. The instructions clearly point that out.

I also used "distilled" water since I live where the tap water is very hard and would clog it in short order I'm sure.

Using distilled water is a no-brainer no matter where you live. Minerals will eventually clog it up, though you can de-calcify the unit, as laid out in the instructions as well.

It's a simple device. You pour water in, it gets heated, and steam escapes from the holes in the steam-head. Between garments you just hang the steam head on the provided hangar which just slips over the top of the door.

In my opinion, this is SO MUCH BETTER that ironing. I hate ironing. This is great.

Simple device, easy to use, great results.

Also, as stated in the instructions very clearly, the hose will be stiff before use. The steam/heat loosens it up. Simple physics.

I've only used it this once, but so far I'm very pleased. Using distilled water should prolong it's life.

I would recommend it.

I've waited a few weeks before posting my review, but I really was in love with this steamer from the very first use. I did a lot of online research before choosing this one, and it has exceeded my expectations. I am a vintage/second-hand dress dealer online; I buy most of my stock in thrift stores, and, honestly, my top priority in buying a steamer was to guarantee that no pesky critters travel into my home or my customers' homes (Los Angeles has recently out-stripped New York in the bed bug wars, and steam kills 'em! Why take a chance, when peace of mind is this easy).

It actually does a better job of freshening things up than I expected; it even cleans off the white deodorant residue that sometimes smears all over the inside of a dress when a gal just tries it on. It de-wrinkles most fabrics beautifully, it's almost like magic with rayon, silk, and knit blends (but it's not quite so efficient on very creased woven cotton). It perks up wilted trim, like bows and pleats. Basically, it saves me a lot of time and money at the dry cleaners; and it allows me to describe an item as GREAT or EXCELLENT condition, when it might have been GOOD or VERY GOOD before steaming. So it's fantastic for my business (look for Johnny Bombshell on facebook!).

It's extremely lightweight and easy to use; I have experienced minimal sputtering (nothing to complain about) once or twice, but mostly it's just lots of nice quiet steam, and it gets the job done in no time. Just keep in mind that this is not a heavy-duty professional steam-cleaner; it's a small fabric freshener/de-creaser that, as far as I can tell, does exactly what it says it's going to do. Five stars!

I bought my first one of these a few years ago and it worked great. Hardly any spitting. I refused to buy water to put into a $30 steamer, so after a year and a half of filling it with water from the Brita, I was not surprised when it stopped working. I had expected that to happen eventually, but I liked that one so much I decided to go buy another of the exact same one. The second one I got was like a completely different product. The hose was not as flexible as on the first one and it spit like crazy, even when being held perfectly upright. I have solved this by putting a sock around the top with a rubber band securing it (otherwise the steam comes out of the sock opening). Those of you who have had problems with the steamer spitting may want to try this. It helps considerably. With all that being said, after this one breaks, I will not buy this steamer again, I would dive in and buy a more expensive model and actually buy water for it.

I received this steamer as a wedding gift a year and a half ago after daily use it's given out on my husband and I, but for under 30 bucks I'm back to get a new one! Ever since getting this steamer, we have not used our iron once.

Pros:

-Easy-to-use

-Gets the wrinkles out in half the time as ironing

-I hate ironing so this takes the cake for me

Cons:

-You have to keep the hose elevated or else it will spit out water. This was a problem for me since I wanted to steam bedsheets, mattresses, furniture, and the like

I've never used a professional steamer, but this fit my husband and I perfectly for taking the wrinkles out of our daily business clothes.

Not too cold yet in the low 50s but seemed to work. All the heat rises, no forward projection because there's no fan which is good because its silent. It works by naturally blending with the other room air.

We will see when it gets cold, but I expect it will be fine.

I ordered this towel cabinet because I liked the UV light option and it also appeared to be white in color, which I prefer. It is more of a grayish-color than white, but so far I am happy with its performance. It really keeps towels hot (and I mean HOT!). I switch it on, prepare my towels with hot water and essential oils, place the towels in the cabbie, and by the time my client is situated they are good to go. I also use the sterilizer option without heat for facial brushed that cannot be placed in liquid disinfectant. I haven't been using it for very long, so I will update in the future if I experience any issues. Thus far, I am really happy with it.

I wanted a hot towel cabinet that not only warmed up the towels very well, but had UV sterilization included. UV is a much better option then over-bleaching the towels to sterilize them due to the fact people may be sensitive to that. I wanted the best bang for the buck and I did a lot of searching and reading of reviews before I made my mind up on this and was still a little bit skeptical. When I received it, I was even more skeptical because I automatically saw it was plastic and looked cheaply made. Rack came a little bit crooked, had to bend a tiny bit to even it out. Color wasn't quite white, a little bit grey. But, Overall, nothing that would drive me nuts and nothing a client would notice. And most importantly, once I used it, IT WORKS! Heats up towels VERY well. They aren't just warm, but HOT just like they are supposed to be. I would have rated this product a 5 if it wasn't so cheaply made, but for the price, and the quality of how it actually works, I would recommend it to someone whose trying to save money but still wants something that works GOOD.

I have been using Magic Heat units for the past 30 years or more. I have a large 16 room home that has an unfinished basement with a dirt floor. Before I installed Magic Heat my basement was very cold and uncomfortable in Winter, too cold to work in even wearing a jacket. I installed Magic Heat on the flue pipe of my oil boiler and was rather amazed at the difference it made. Since that installation my basement is now warm enough to work to do things like woodworking and small engine repair in Winter on all but an occasional bitterly cold day. These are things that I used to have to wait until warm weather to do. Some of the heat radiates through the floor to the first story and I did notice a reduction in oil consumption after using Magic Heat.

Heater quality lower than expected. Gas was leaking, heater is very unstable and wably, did not work (no gas coming out of the burner), contractor checked the heater as well and confirmed to send back. I was under the impression that it would identical to the one that we had previously purchased, the photo that we saw appeared to be of the one we had. The lower part which surrounds the tank is dull, the one we have is shiny. Also the control and method of starting the heater is totally different which make for also to remember which was which. The original one is easier to start, this one requires a pilot to light first.

I bought the Aroma Induction Cooktop at Costco for $49.99. Up close it looks stylish and feels well built (I don't trust photos). I have a natural gas R366 Wolf at home and this amazing little cooktop will get a pot of water boiling faster.

And I was impressed even more with the ease of clean up. Since the glass doesn't get scorching hot like conventional radiant heat cooktops spilled food will wipe off easily. A big plus.

Another interesting feature...when you turn off the power the cooking stops immediately just like gas.

I'm sold, my next full sized cooktop will be induction.

We bought this from Costco.

Initially I was not so sure, but now I totally love it.

It is an extremely fast and a very cool product. We have to use iron & steel vessels, so it can become a very healthy way of cooking ( no more non-stick).

It has different heat settings as well as timer, eg, I boil water, add pasta or rice or egg, put it in the lowest possible heat setting, put the timer on and forget about it :-) It will beep when its ready.

Making Indian tea is the fastest in induction cooker.

We can also take it outside next to a plug point, for cooking outside (camping or parties)

Things I cook in induction cooker:

Rice

Pasta

Tea

eggs

Boiling water for anything

Coffee

Seasoning

Fish Fry

Any curries or sauces, that need to simmer/boil for some time.

steaming veggies (very quick)

Only drawback I can think of is getting some iron cookwares, it comes very cheap in walmart & target for $10.

Coming from a "foodie" and "chef" home background, I have been predisposed to gas cooking. My Wolf range has seen no spill-overs. I LOVE cooking with gas. As I enter the retirement stage of my life most of living options seem to be electric. I have read a bit about induction cooking and with the help of Costco's affordable Aroma Gourmet Induction Cooktop I am converted.

It heats up super quickly, responds instantaniously to heat changes just as gas does. I have always used cast iron and am super pleased that pieces handed down from my mom and my mother-in-law adapt VERY well to this new way of cooking. I can't believe how quickly the pans heat up. I use the magnet test and am surprised that some of the expensive (wedding gift) stainless cookware will not work, but I have enough that will that I am super, super pleased with this manner of cooking.

I would love to retire to a live-aboard boat and can see that with one induction burner and an oven of some kind my fantastic, gourmet cooking is still possible.

I may not be ready to totally give up a gas grill for outside parties, but this is a truely excellent option.

I am a self-styled gourmet and lover of my own cooking (for the most part!). (Plain, simple, close to the source cooking.)

I've only had this since last week and it's currently my primary cooking device. Bought it from Home depot and paid a little more because amazon didn't have it.

For the price, I think it's a good start for induction cooking if you're new to it.

I'll start with the cons:

The 1 setting might be a little too hot for simmering certain stuff. I've goat meat boiling at 1 right now and it cycles, just like most induction cookers do. Except at the 1 setting, it doesn't come to a crazy boil just 3 seconds at a soft boil and then 8 seconds at calm.

If you've read reviews on amazon about induction cookware, you'll know they do make noise. This is like the fridge noise. It's the fan. I find the noise was higher when i was using the frying pan but a lot less now with the stockpot. The intensity also decreases at lower power levels. The quality of the SS pan determines if you hear the vibrating sorta shrill or not.

It doesn't have the temperature setting like other induction cooktops; just power settings up to 6 levels. (Personally, I don't have a problem with that although i should mention some cooktops have 10. My reasearch showed most people only go up to 6 on those). I

This is soooo not for warming foods. From what i've read, most induction cooktops are a little too hot at the lowest setting to be used as warmers.

Pros:

The device clearly states at the surface that cooking surface will be hot after cooking. The area around it remains cool as I'd water on the device while my pan was at a full boil.

The highest power i've used is 4 for boiling water. most of my cooking have been between 1 and 3.

It works with the cheap stainless steel utensil I got as a gift from penny's.

The timer is nice because I can put stuff on it, set the timer and go to bed as i work nights certain days. I must mention it only goes up to 180 minutes which is 3hrs. I wish it was longer only because goat meat takes about 3-4hrs to cook. My way around it was to set the timer about an hour later right before going to bed.

1500W of power is plenty for everyday cooking.

it's very easy to use right out of the box. I've yet to read the manual. I took it right out of the box, plugged it in and started using it. Figured out how the timer works by hitting the button and then hitting the + button.

It fits a small space on my counter top so it's space saving. Plus, If i choose to live in the dorm for school later on, I'll have something portable.

I'll update this review as needed but for now, I highly recommend it. I think it's a bargain at the current price (Amazon sells these for $54.99, you may need to do a new search as this product is listed differently for various sellers.)

update april 2012: Still using this as my primary cooktop and I'm loving it more. if you do have a large dutch oven with thick sauce in it, you can use the 1 setting to keep things warm. Things heat evenly, no hotspots or nothing.

August 2, 2012: This cooktop is dead. Gave me an error message when i put one of my pans on it. Same pan I've always used on it. Yesterday, It would only take my dutch oven. Today, it's just giving an error message for all the pans i put on it and I've different brands of stainless steel appliances. Only lasted a little over half a year. quite awful, in my opinion.

August 8: So I called aroma 2days ago. The rep mentioned 1yr warranty and offered to replace it if i can show proof of purchase so I faxed it to them that evening. Today, they called informing me they don't have this current model but have an upgraded model with a keep warm function and wanted to know if i'm OK with getting that. So they are shipping it today and got a UPS email confirmation 2hrs following the call.

All in all, I'm glad at the ease of product replacement as I was super pissed, hence my 1 star review but I'll move it to 4stars. I've aroma products 4+ years old and this is the first time a product had failed on me.

They told me 5-7days to receive the replacement when i called monday. I went ahead and purchased another induction cooktop on august 3rd as I've noticed that I can't go back to using electric burners. My SS pans looked new when I used this but one day of cooking on an electric burner and I had discoloring at the bottom and food burning and sticking which required soaking, SOS and lots of scrubing. Despite my experience, I still think Induction cooktops are great and I'm a convert.

Love it, I have it in an efficiency and it IS efficient, safe and very economical. Couldn't be more pleased. Remember you do need to buy pots that will work with the induction. So far our cast iron pots and the blue enamel 'camping' gear seem to work. No aluminum or copper bottom.

Well, we've only had this baby on three times so far, but she unpacked and rolled to her new home in the sun room very smoothly and heated the large area quickly and quietly. If the coming winter presents any problems I'll check back in. Perfect so far!

I live up on a mountain where it quickly turns from summer to winter. My basement is almost completely underground and stays cold year round (great in the summer!) and the tile floor doesn't help to retain any heat. Basically the basement gets REAL cold in the winter. Thus far the heater works well to heat the 700sq ft area with 96" ceilings, but it can take some time to heat the entire area. Usually in an hour or two the room is heated and comfortable. I really enjoy the remote and the display. I did a large amount of research on electric heaters, and for your money, this is the best value.

The Duraflame Quartz Heater has met or exceeded my expectations. Have large open space with 10 ft, ceilings and had been told

this would not heat such a large area. It is doing a very good job of back-up heat as I have an oil furnace which runs much less, saving expensive oil. My 80 year old husband is very sensitive to cold so this is an ideal solution to warm his area without raising the furnace thermostat to heat other areas. I have recommended it to other friends and family.
