Enjoyed using this magic chef dehydrator for many years to dehydrate, fruit, vegetables and meat perfectly for backpacking meals, but even with rotation of trays and careful cleaning, over time and with repeated usage the trays will begin to warp and crack. Dehydrator tends to have hot spots, plus plastic dehydrator trays and liners absorb tomato-based products causing them to be permanently stained. Replacement trays are no where to be found so will have to buy a new dehydrator.

This dehydrator works very well. You must be home to rotate the trays both in stacked positions and location on the base. One spot seems to be hotter than the rest so must rotate about a quarter of a turn every 2 hours. Once you figure this out works good.

Yes indeed this 1 is the one! It works well beyond what I need and I use this 2x a week to make chicken jerky for my Yorkies. The heat and fan coming from the bottom is the key. The 1 I had before this was a top heat and it started on fire. I kid you not, talk about scary. It has not increased my electric bill running for 6-8 hours at a time either. They say not to put the trays in the dishwasher, but I do on the light setting top rack only for trying to hand clean in between the small grooves even after soaking in hot water, does not work and get all the residue off. That is the only drawback. If I were to do fruits and veggies would not be a big deal to me, but I do chicken , so need to have it super clean. I highly recommend this one for its' quality design with how it dehydrates.

I purchased a dutchwest stove around two years ago maybe three. Non cat type with the optional blower. Had to upgrade because my wife is the primary user during day. The old stove required a secret handshake to operate. This dutchwest is awesome, my favorite part is how you can open the ash tray door and instantly reboot the fire. It will go all night stoked at eleven pm damped down. Seven am pile a small batch of wood on top of the ashes open the ash door boom new raging fire. I am writing this review now because I am on line looking for new gaskets for stove. Hope this helps enjoy

I find this heater to be adequate for my purpose which is to heat my RV during the winter. I use this unit for the front and an electric heater for the rear. Together they provide enough heat although our temps have only gotten down to the mid thirties so far. Manufacturer suggests using it for fifteen minutes outside before putting it in a confined space but I found that it took several uses to burn off the toxic-smelling paint used. Easy to use but plan to spend as much on venting material and gas hoses/hardware as you did on the unit itself.

First off, I got this nat gas heater at the end of November of 2010 for a 17'x 22' finished basement room with a 7' drop ceiling. I live in the Northeast so we get pretty cold winters here. This heater was purchased for a secondary back up heating system in the event of a power failure however, I use it daily and love it. My initial concerns before the unit was installed: plumbing gas pipe, ventless emmissions, CO2, odors and function(s). I'll address all the concerns as best I can.

-Plumbing gas pipe: Don't do it yourself, hire a professional, you'll sleep a lot sounder, a small price to pay for safety (it'll pay for itself in the long run anyway)

-Ventless Emissions: I researched here and there and everywhere, this camp is split from what I can see, some say there is and some say there isn't any, I don't know. The next thing I cover may or may not be related to this.

-CO2 and odors: I installed $40 Kidde CO2 detector 12 feet away from the heater and it still reads 0 all the time (I was expecting 5-7 ppm but I got 0, that's great). Now onto, the odors, yes there are odors, I'll admit that when I first fired this unit up I was greatly impressed with the heat output but wasn't at all happy about the smell. It was a chemical smell, which after the heater stopped running the smell soon went away within a minute or two. I would masked the odor with an air freshener when the heater ran and it was fine. It has since been a month and a half now and the heater has ran frequently on a daily basis and the odor/smell is virtually gone. A relief to say the least. I do smell it briefly at start up sometimes but that's only for a second or two. I think it was the paint/parts burning off that new heater smell so to speak.

-Function(s): Although it looks like there is, there isn't a digital thermostat, It's a 1 through 5 dial type which runs the duration of how long the heater runs with some internal temp setting (ex. setting 1 = 68-72 degrees). Flame height is the same always, temp dial does not regulate height. Flame is not like pictured, it's better, it looks like what's on your stove top. Flame is a nice blue, at start up I get orange streaks, I found out that's its only dust in the air, it goes away in about 15-25 min. The fan, basically is useless, poor design, could be a lot better, I don't use it. I have a 10" Honeywell table top swivel fan blowing across the heater, left to right, it's even with the top of the unit to circulate the heat in a circle around the room. My unit is not wall mounted, it is free standing on carpet, carpet does get warm to the touch but never hot. No electric required (unless you use the fan), the spark igniter runs on a AA battery (supplied), there is no pilot when it's off.

So how well does it work? Well, Freaking Amazing!!! It's instant heat!!! To get an idea of the heat output, if you have a gas stove, turn all stove top burners on at the same time, don't run the vent, put your hands near the vent away from the flame. I have 4 burners on my stove and that is what is feels like for me. The burner is this unit is about 16" long. At setting 1, once my room is warmed up, the heater runs for a minute or two then knocks off, it'll do this 3-4 times an hour. As for energy savings, I can already see it, I used to use a electric ceramic tower heater to heat (pointed at me) the room at $50+ a month more on the electric bill, that's no more and the whole room is toasty and to boot my gas usage went down slightly compared to the previous year at this time. Win, win, win.

Heat, heat and more heat. Instant heat.

Energy savings (it will pay for itself)

CO2 not an issue in my setup of a basement room

Looks it looks nice as a unit alone and when its running.

Con's:

Blower fan, useless

Dial temp gauge No digital temp setting (it would be a great feature and for setting lower temps too)

Odor goes away over time with use

The only glitch on this heater is the picture of a digital reading on amazon's site. The heater came in with a sticker where the digital reading should have been. Set up was easy, I had a guy at lowes plumbing dept help me with the parts. Make sure and buy the leak checker fluid and watch for bubbles. I also used a flexible coil they use for gas stoves and dryers. The flexible hose also has a built in union so you don't have to install one. The heater works really well with a cracked window or overhead fan on to keep humidity down. The room heats up fast but does have some cool spots. It's ok for what we are using it for. There is an odor and will go away in time. The odor is not natural gas but the heater itself burning off impurities. The built in thermostat works well shutting on & off the heat on its own. I would suggest getting a cheap digital thermometer to help you regulate the heat.

After a few power outages last winter, we purchased this heater today and installed it. Wow! It adequately heats our living room and kitchen and if the downstairs bathroom door is left open, covers that as well. Better yet, with it running, our furnace has yet to kick on with the thermostat set at 68 (it's 37 outside right now with a wind chill of 30).

The only con I can think of is that the blower really isn't very efficient. We are using a small pole fan behind the unit to distribute the warm air more evenly, although a ceiling fan would do the same if you have one.

Definitely well worth the purchase price. We were debating whether to get this one or a different non-vented natural gas heater with logs and "flames" but decided for $100 less, we could do without the esthetics and stick with pure function.

It does a nice job, I bought it to be back-up heat if the power goes out. I wish it had a thermostat that had a lower setting as it kicks on around 66 to 68 but it still does a great job. I have not used the fan but where it is set-up in my house the fan is not needed.

I purchased this hot water dispenser about a month ago because it had a large capacity (4 liters)at an excellent price. I have never owned a "hot pot" before, but I was hoping this would keep up with our wintertime hot water needs since I have 7 kids.

Rosewill is a brand I have purchased before and I know they have a very responsive customer service department in case I have a problem.

This is not a small appliance and will take up some room on your counter. It is 15" tall and about 10 1/2" deep at the top. The sides of the exterior are silver colored metal, the top is white plastic, and the interior is stainless steel. There is a window on the front which allows you to see the water level at a glance. The controls are sealed buttons on the top. It also has a swivel feature on the bottom which is so convenient.

I got this so that my family could easily and quickly make hot tea, hot chocolate and ramen noodles. Since it safely dispenses water up to 208 degrees F, it allows my 9 year old son to make his own noodles! It's been a huge hit with everyone and I marvel at how I have managed to get by without one for so long.

You can select your water temperature 140, 175 or 208 degrees F. There is an auto clean button great for me since I have VERY hard water. It has 2 safety features that I definitely appreciate an auto lock on the dispense button so no one can accidentally push a button and get burned, and an auto shut off when the water level gets too low.

The stainless steel interior is wonderful when cleaning this pot. There is a stainless steel filter in the bottom of the pot, too. You access the interior via a latch on the top of the pot. It works easily, but be careful not to get your hand near the vent, which is hot. Also, the latch needs a firm push to be securely closed after cleaning or adding water.

The dispenser spout sits about 11" from the counter so it is a little high to safely dispense water into a bowl on the counter without splashing very hot water. I found a large can just the right height that I keep next to this pot. My son can put his bowl of ramen noodles on top of the can and then safely dispense the hot water into the bowl. I would advise you find a similar set-up if a child is going to be using this pot.

It has been in constant use for over a month and no problems so far. In fact, I am so pleased with it that I have ordered three more as Christmas gifts. If you use a lot of hot water, you might like this as much as I do.

We bought this product to help prep baby formula and within 1 month we noticed rust forming at the bottom of the heater. Also, the water gauge was broken when we received it. I noticed there was another review with the same rust issue. The price is alluring but stay away from this cheap product!

1st unit DOA, 2nd unit (replacement) has been functioning properly into the 4th hour.

1st unit's defectiveness:

1. Water could not dispense at all.

2. Its lid was harder to close and, when closed, had larger gap around the lid's rim if compared with the 2nd unit.

For the price, it is a good dispenser, having adjustable temperature, electric dispense motor, safe lock, and large capacity. Nevertheless, QC doesn't seem to be very consistent. As for the rust issue mentioned in other reviews, I'd need to wait and see.

The 1st unit I received was defective-on-arrival. It couldn't dispense water at all. I contacted both Amamax and Rosewill via emails for exchange request with free RMA shipping (If using Amazon's RMA function, I could only RMA back for refund and pay for return shipping). At first, both of them kicked me back to each other. Amamax's reason was the shipment was directly shipped from Rosewill. Rosewill's reason was I bought through Amamax, Rosewill's authorized retailer, and was still within 30 days of purchase.

Then I sent 2nd emails to both of them, stating I was being kicked back and forth by them. Amamax replied with an upper manager's email and told me to write to that address for CC to Rosewill assistance. Rosewill, on the other hand, took my RMA request. After about half dozen times of email exchange with Rosewill, I was able to get a replacement without the need of shipping the defective one back.

Overall for Amamax:

In the end, all Amamax's customer support did was to kick me back to Rosewill. If this is all Amamax's customer support could do, I couldn't at all understand why any manufacturers would sell their products through Amamax. Nowadays everyone has websites to sell stuff."

Overall for Rosewill:

Rosewill's customer support was fast in response in general. The fact Rosewill was willing to send a replacement without requesting me to RMA the defective unit back was quite an honorable resolution.

On the other hand, though, if Rosewill's QC and communication to its authorized retailer (Amamax) had been better, probably none of this hassle could had happened. Also the fact it was necessary for me to exchange many emails (10, including these sent to Amamax) to receive a resolution was not an ideal process for customers to go through.

I got my water boiler because I love hot tea and chocolate during the winter and a friend recommended it as a handy way to always have water ready. She was right, this thing is great. It keep the water at any of three specified temperatures depending on what you need/want, has a reboil button to quickly heat the water to boiling if you wish, has sensors that prevent the water level from getting too low and also has an auto clean cycle.

The best way to auto clean the boiler is with citric acid. You can get powdered citric acid in small bags, I have had the best luck finding it at oriental groceries. Use half a bag. Fill the water reservoir, pour the powder in and shut the top, then run a self clean cycle. When it finishes, empty the reservoir (be very careful, the water is really hot) and wash it out, then refill it with water and run the self clean cycle again. Once again pour the water out, rinse the reservoir and refill. You now have a clean and scale free source of boiling water. I have had my boiler around a month and just cleaned it today so unless your water is insanely hard you probably wont have to do it very often.

The lock feature that prevents water from being dispensed unless the Unlock button is pressed is a good feature, preventing anyone from being accidentally burned. The night light is also handy, I like to read at night sometimes and enjoy a cup of tea and the light helps me hit the cup and not my fingers :)

It is cheap but really poor quality. We use it about 2-3 liters each day and did cleaning every 30 days. But the rust started building up in the bottom of the inner circle after 2 months. I couldn't clean it off by cloth either. Called their customer service and they wanted to provide RMA under my shipping. I would like to pass since the shipping fee is more than half the price which I paid for the product.

Am returning this product because I did not see anywhere that you could not use it on a balcony until I read the booklet enclosed with the lamp. Bought it for my grandson who lives in an apartment and he does not have the space required to use this type of heater. I had a smaller filter on my house which is on a water well. My well has a fair amount of sand and rust and with the smaller filter and I was having to change the filter a lot. It was a pain. I figured that if I had a larger filter, the filter change intervals would be longer and life would be better.

I ended up buying this. The big blue filter media is about 4x the mass of my older filter, which means the filter could theoretically last 4x as long. I haven't had to change my filter yet so I can't say with certainty if this is true, but I don't see why it wouldn't be.

It was easy to plumb this into my water supply. I have PVC pipes and just turned off my pump and cut my old PVC pipes out and put in new. Warning: this housing uses 1" PVC pipes. Yes, I know it says it in the specs but make sure you know what size your pipes are. Mine were 3/4" and I wasn't aware of that. Fixed it with some 1" to 3/4" PVC adapters.

Why did I only give it four stars? Well, this filter housing uses the standard 4x10" filter size. That's good. Then I found out they make 4x20" filters and housings. You can buy a new bottom (the part that screws on) and the longer filters and then you'll have double the filter. If I had known that, I would have gone that route. I can't just change the bottom on mine because the way I mounted it and ran my PVC pipes, there isn't room for the extra 10" below it. If I had known, I would have mounted it higher and routed the pipes differently just in case I wanted the longer filters.

Also, there is a metal bracket made by Culligan that is great for mounting this. Amazon sells it for about $15. Worth it.

I've been using this for about a year and a half and it works fine. I'm using the Culligan RFC-BBS Level 4 Heavy Duty Sediment Replacement Cartridge which I may change to a lesser model since my problem is the deep well (365') picking up a little sand and clogging my water softener and faucets after a few months and this product fixes that problem. I change the filter about every 3 months. Over all I'm very satisfied with the filter and despite the high prices of the filter cartridges I still rate this as a 5.

NOTE: All my pipes are copper so I did put a wire jumper across the filter housing to maintain grounding throughout the house. The house is grounded using a steel rod driven about 18' deep. Other than the safety issue a lack of a good ground can cause audio humming or other interference.

I had first got the ge filter of the same size the 35 or 40 model. They both take the same size filters. Definitely get this one! The GE one will give you water hammer because of the supposedly convenient shut-off/bypass valve. This culligan one doesn't have that valve, so it works. The only downside is that the ones I saw do not come with a mounting bracket. The bracket from my GE one fits, as does the CLEAR filter basket. I wish they came this way, but at least it will work without giving you water hammer. Just make sure you put shut off valves on both sides of the filter, and attatch a ground wire from one side to the other to maintain your house ground.

Installed this heater in a small mudroom I built in our home. Our home has forced hot air and it would not have been easy to get the ductwork into the room for heat so I looked for an alternate heat source and found this nice little heater in my searching. Based on other reviews I read mostly positive reviews and I can only agree with all of them. Fan motor is VERY quiet and the heater heats up super quickly and the blower moves the heat around very nicely. I would recommend this for any small room that needs a heat source or even like a bathroom if you were looking for additional heat to supplement your primary heat source in the cold climates / months (say to take the chill out while taking a shower). Directions were clear pay close attention that THIS product is for a 120V line there is another version for 240V so make sure you are buying the right model. Can be used with an external Thermostat which would allow you to maintain a specific temperature the built in thermostat would have to be manually set using a room thermometer and then you wuold cut back the dial to maintin that temp. Also I do not believe the heater techincally has an 'off' setting the lowest left setting on the dial basically set's the thermostat so cold it doesn't let the heater turn on. A more precise solution would be to install an external thermostat (I found a compatable one for $20 on Amazon) instructions would come with the thermostat to install the thermostat.

This heater appears to be well made and is a good wall install design. I didn't rate it the best of the best only because the thermostat does not have an on-off switch for airconditioned summer use, I had to install it with a separate wall mounted switch with an "on" indicator light. I installed this in our motor home bathroom to knock the chill off after a shower. This heater does not have the typical heater fan noise, it makes no sound at all when running.

OK... I got a good deal on it new at a thrift shop and that's about where the good news ends. if you have new construction, or you're doing a major remodel, then this is pretty easy to install. If you're trying to add it in a finished wall it's a problem. The mounting flanges are on top & bottom and the side are flared in toward the back so you can't nail it flush with a wall stud. You need to add a header at top & bottom to properly secure it to some framing... or put some plywood backing behind the drywall and put some screws in but that's not ideal. Also, the thermostat will not turn it off so it won't work in an area that you allow to get pretty cold... we have it on a landing to keep a huge window from icing over. I had to add a wall switch so I could turn it off completely but you can also add a line voltage wall mount thermostat. Lastly, at 1000 watts it's not all that effective and uses a lot of electricity but the up side is it has a fan but you can do much better with a portable heater. I will likely remove it and add a 240V baseboard unit. That's why I gave it 3 stars but if you just want to add a nice looking 120V fan unit to a small space... like a bathroom... you would probably be rating it higher than I did. I really don't think any electric heater is safe to leave unattended unless it will turn off completely when you turn the thermostat all the way down.

I've used it in the bedroom and it does a great job; quiet, reliable and lives up to the hype on the box. A family member dropped it the other day and it fell off the table (my foot snagged the cord) and one of the blades that circulates the heat came off and I was not happy about it. I looked around and priced this unit and I was shocked at the prices; $120.00 $56.00! I pulled out the piece that came off (small pliers through the front) and the heater performed the exact same way it always did. Now it has 3 blades instead of 4. If you feel this heater doesn't stay on long enough at the halfway point, turn the knob a bit higher that should do it. I really like this heater and will buy another one, when I need it. But I don't think I will be doing that anytime soon. Great heater, highly recommended.

Works Great as I expected. I bought this because my sister has the same one. As far as the hose being hard,its plastic what do u expect, it also softens once the steamer is on. As far as the dripping,it only does that when you put the hose down. Very good product at a very good price.

So far I must say I love these register heaters. They seem to be well made, with nice heavy steal boxes that go into the wall space. I put them in to solve a nagging problem with a rental house I own; propane tank heat. The min. purchase from the dealer is currently $300.00 plus, and that lasts about one month during the winter. I can't get natural gas run, so I had to find an alternative, other than replace my whole central system with a heat pump. (EXPENSIVE!) The house is really small so a few well placed heaters can easily heat it. I bought two of these and wired them to a good line-in thremostat on the wall. When I finished all the wiring and installation and turned them on, Super! Nice sound, not too loud, certainly not as loud as my central system fan. I still have the propane heat monster for back up when the weather becomes really cold, but these should save the tenants gobs of money compared to the gas. I added baseboard heaters to the bedrooms for their soundless heat and a in-the-wall unit in the bathroom. All Cadet, a US company. Do the calculations on energy usage and cost, I was quite surprised how little extra it adds to the bill, and compared to my propane cost, which ran every tenant off after one year. The whole package of heaters and thermostats cost me about 1.5 times the minimum charge for propane, about the same as a half a tank. I would give it five stars, but I need to see how they are after a year.

I am an electrician by trade, so I have installed a number of electric heaters. This is by far the best most well made electric heater I have ever had my hands on. The case is thick metal. The heater is well made. Its great. Great quality, made in america. I can't say a bad thing about it. I am totally impressed.

I installed 3 of these in a basement remodel. I am driving all of them with a single thermostat and have adjusted them to match the heat requirements of each location. The ability to do this is great. Installation was very easy and they look clean. I went with these because I wanted to save the floorspace electric baseboard requires. Although the winter is over, they seem to put out a decent amount of heat but will have to wait untill fall to really know. The only thing is that they are bit louder than what I had expected. It is a hum it does not affect talking or watching TV but it is there. Probably I would not put one of these in a bedroom though.
