We have a finished basement with an area that is hard to keep warm. This heater is quiet and puts out a decent amount of heat to make the area more comfortable. Pretty straightforward to use. What we like about it is that it is quiet and does not 'blow' heat around the room but radiates it. It's not noisy and is cool to the touch as described. Our kids are older so it's not an issue but for someone with younger kids, this is a good option in case a young one gets too close. Happy with the item and would recommend.

We were looking for a silent heater and a friend recommended we buy a mica panel heater. It heats up fast and is totally silent. We are using to heat our TV room that is about 14 x 20 ft. It's just right to take the edge off a cold room, heating our TV room from 62 to about 72 degrees with no problem. The thermostat even works and keeps the room at the temperature we want. Plugged it in and it just lets off a bad odor from the device heating up... Was not worth getting that little bit of heat for the smell.

Bad trade off, would not buy another one of these Chinese pieces of crap. Lasko makes a great ceramic heater that works. Bought two.

Cheap General Filters 2A710 Fuel Oil Filter Replacement Cartridge

Customer Ratings:

Basically i gave this filter 5 stars since it works, and that's what i had in my cartridge before, i have not had a chance to compare this to a different ones. But from my previous filter change i could see how much of gunk was there, that told me it was stopping the dirt of the oil. And its also very cheap compare to some other ones for $30, i wish i saw some comparison results and justified the price.

Discount Dimplex #TD522W Line Voltage Thermostat DPST Switch

Customer Ratings:

This is a very basic double pole line voltage thermostat. I rated it 4 stars because it lacks a thermometer or a temperature adjustment. Also, you have to follow the installation instructions carefully because both red wires go to line and the black to load rather than matching the wire colors in the box. I bought this to replace a top-of-the-line Honeywell which burned out in two years. Line voltage thermostats are becoming harder to find so I felt fortunate to find this one at a reasonable price. Time will tell how well it holds up.

I purchased this heater about a year ago for use on our patio and have been generally disappointed with it. For one, it doesn't really put out much heat if you're more than a few feet away. Also, the device is clearly made for outdoor use, but housing is already rusting badly from exposure to the elements (and I live in southern California).

right now our husband and i are using this little baby to heat our entire house which is not a mansion but is by no means small. my husband is on the war path about the cost of oil and refuses to use our burner. i'm not saying that the bedrooms don't get chilly (the way our house is designed is most of it is on one floor and the bedrooms are partitioned off from the rest of the house by a series of doors), but the common areas in which we spend the most time are toasty warm. i tend to get hot so i leave the stove on the lowest setting most of the times and that's enough to warm the house. it's a good looking piece of "furniture" and doesn't detract from the room. it eats about a bag of pellets a day on the lower settings and is virtually no work. it stays lit without any tending, reignites easily once it has been turned off, and only requires a vaccumming out every day or so to collect the excess ash. if you buy one, which i recommend, you need to buy the ash vac with it because trust me you will be using it and you don't want hot ash going into your regular vac..
