Cheap Cozy-Heater 250 Watt Electrical Wall Mounted Convective Heater
I needed it to just take the edge off at room the most efficient way with electric heat. It did the job perfect at very low wattage. We bought this cozy heater for our converted school bus/ camper. I think it might take a bit too much juice but we have it plugged in for the winter in conjunction with another small heater to keep the bus dry.
Cheap Lasko Pro Performance Blower Fan, 4900
Hey folks! I must say that this Lasko fan is VERY impressive. I've owned this fan for well over 5 years ... and it works just as good as day 1.
It's exceptionally quite because it uses a turbine not blades. It moves a vast amount of air, even on low speed. It would blow away any typical $15 box fan. I'd be willing to bet that it would outperform an 18" Patten high velocity air circulator! It's also better than the similar looking Stanley, which get high marks from reviewers here.
I found that the Stanley is a smaller less powerful fan and it's not built as tough. Remember to compare the size and weight and you'll see a difference. For an extra $10, this fan is a much better buy.
Incidentally, I have 3 cats and I had suspected that cat fur might have reduced the performance of this fan ... so I decided to take it apart. This was easily done by removing approximately 8 screws. My suspicions were correct! I found what appeared to be a 1/2 inch thick blanket of cat hair on the turbine. This was nearly choking the air flow. I cleaned it out and then blew it out with my air compressor. The fan now runs like new, full force again.
The reason to tell this cat story is simply you need to know that this fan is serviceable ... by you, as long as you own a Philips screwdriver. Other fans cannot be serviced and would NEVER last over 5 years.
I saw no reviews on this fan, so I felt compelled to let you know my experience. I would recommend this fan over ANY other fan without hesitation.
One last note: as an alternate choice, I also had this Lasko tower fan (turbine) for over 5 years. Lasko #4924 High Velocity Blower (overpriced here $49 at Sam's Club)
Cheers!
Jeff
The design is shared with a few other brands but this one additionally has the power outlets on the side. Those might come in handy for tools. The power cord is a large grounded version that is about 8' long. The angle (height) can be adjusted. Although I'd just like to point out here that due to the smaller than normal footprint of this fan, it can easily be sat on top of other things, making placement very flexible. It pulls air in from the side so if you are trying to pull in fresh air, it will need to be sat back a little farther than a standard fan with blades.
Noise, while present, is not excessive. Actually, it's not too bad at all. I could sit and watch TV with this thing running and it wouldn't be too distracting. The sound is a constant and doesn't consist of any clicking or rattling noises that would become annoying.
I really like this fan and plan to use it for many things.
They move a ton of air, and do it much quieter than a normal fan. Very highly recommended.

Just wanted to update my review a bit, I have had this fan going on at least 10 years and it still works just like new. It sure doesn't look like it, but I have had no problems what so ever with it. A few times it has gotten so dirty and full of dust that I have used my small pressure washer to blast it clean, and it still works great. Probably wouldn't recommend doing that, but hey it owes me nothing at this point.
It's very simply to fix, takes 15 mins, and just two tools.
You'll need a Philips screwdriver and a 10mm socket.
All but one of the screws are the same size, so no need to worry about what screw comes from what hole.
Unplug the unit!
With the unit sitting up right, take the 2 screws out of the black housing (opposite of the power side). One is just below the handle, one is in the back below the cylinder.
Now, sit the unit on its side (power side down). From the bottom supports, take out the two screws in each support from the side you've just taken the screws from.
Now, you can take off the outside panel with the grating on it.
With that off, you can see the handle attaches into the inside of the black housing. Here's the different screw you need to take off, from the handle, you'll see a smaller silver screw, take that off and now you can remove the cylinder with the inside black panel attached.
Lift up, you'll have to spin the cylinder around until you'll see there is a notch out of it that matches up with a notch on the inside. Sit the cylinder aside.
You'll see the blower cylinder, and it's attached with a bolt to the main cylinder (what it spins on). Use the 10mm socket and unscrew it.
Take the plastic cover and bolt off by lifting straight up on it.
Before you lift off the cylinder, give it a spin. On mine, it was still brushing up against the plastic, that's the noise that you hear in the one video review, or what you've heard in person. Now, you can lift up the blower cylinder. Sit both aside.
Leave the washer on the blower spindle (where the blower cylinder sits on). You'll hopefully see three silver screws holding the motor to the housing. Make sure they are tight.
Sit the blower cylinder back onto the spindle. It has a flat spot on the spindle that needs to match up with the blower cylinder. Do NOT try to force it on, it should slide right on. Now, give the cylinder a spin, notice if it still makes any noise, or if it's now very quiet.
Just repeat the process to put it back together. Make sure to tighten the bolt for the blower cylinder but not overly tight, as you are dealing with plastic! The one thing I did differently was when putting on the yellow cylinder, I lined it up with the handle and then rather than try to fish the notches together by spinning it around, I just pushed it down gently until it popped over the notch.
7 screws and one bolt later, I was a very happy customer. Hopefully, this helps you if you find the motor making awful noise. Good luck.
I'd recommend this over any fan I've ever had. Buy it and you will find many uses for it that will truly save you.

This is truly an amazing fan. I was at a local BBQ place and they had one of these circulating air in there. It was putting out so much air that I had to go take a look to see what brand it was. So I ordered one the same day from Amazon. I'm somewhat of a hobby person around the house and on occasion I need something to remove fumes (paint, glue, whatever) from an enclosed area... quickly. This thing will do it.The design is shared with a few other brands but this one additionally has the power outlets on the side. Those might come in handy for tools. I agree 100% with the other review. I also purchased this probably 5 years ago from Sams club and have since purchased a few more. I have used these daily working as a trim carpenter to keep the air moving in the homes during those hot days and they keep on ticking. They get dirty, bang around in the back of the truck, have gotten wet, and still work like the day they were new. They move a ton of air, and do it much quieter than a normal fan. Very highly recommended.

Honest reviews on Lasko Pro Performance Blower Fan, 4900
I took a gamble and ordered one of these, even with the bad reviews lately with the noise. Powered mine on, and yep, super noisy just the other reviews. Being a very handy person, I decided I'm going to fix this or attempt to. One caveat, I've taken my furnace apart and changed out my blower motor, so this little fan didn't scare me. The problem I found was the motor, which is screwed in on the side with the power plug and outlet, was not screwed in, almost not at all. There are 3 screws holding on the motor to the housing. Two of the screws were only 25% screwed in, the third screw was inside the black housing (thankfully). It's very simply to fix, takes 15 mins, and just two tools.
You'll need a Philips screwdriver and a 10mm socket.

I read hundreds of product reviews every year and have for 10 years, but almost never write one. I bought this fan at a Wal-mart a month ago for $45. I had not read any reviews, but wandered by the fan aisle at Wal-Mart that day. I wanted to find the quietest and most powerful. Guess what? It turned out the same fan was quietest and most powerful! That got my attention first. Next as I stood in front of it, it honestly cooled me off even there in the store and I got that same wonderful feeling I had when I was in grade school and we had the big fan on the floor and I'd aim it up and let it blow up my t-shirt. I winced a bit at the $45 price since many simple fans are half the price. I went ahead and bought it spur of the moment (as I had no plans to buy or consider a fan). I keep it near my recliner where I watch TV and it has saved me much in AC bills as it keeps me cool with that strong stream of air. Also, when I travel by car, I take it with me and it's a fantastic thing to have in the hotel room as it equalizes the temp and provides a steady strong stream to cool off completely in less than a minute when you've been out in the hot Texas weather. I'm thinking of getting several more so I don't have to pick this one up and move it with me. I'm certified in disaster recovery and this would be an excellent fan to more quickly dry an area which potentially could be at risk for mold if left for more than 48 hours. It's one of those products that now I would fight to keep! Not bad for an impulse purchase!!I'd recommend this over any fan I've ever had. Buy it and you will find many uses for it that will truly save you.

Cheap Gas Key
I ordered two of these as I have three indoor fireplaces, all of which require a ridiculously long key and one of which is right on top of the brick hearth. This key has too big of a handle and too thick of a shaft to be able to turn on the one where it sits directly on the hearth. The thickness at the other end was too much for it to completely engage in another fireplace. So, I could only use one. I do have an outdoor fireplace under construction that could use the second, so I'm waiting to see if it will work there. These are beautiful, well-constructed keys just so substantial that it interferes with the function for my high maintenance fireplaces. Hoping not to have to return it.
I bought this product because I had built a decorative stone gas log fire pit for a customer and needed a longer key to control the gas valve inside the fire pit. 15" was perfect and the wrought iron gave it a rustic look that fit well with the outdoor area we had just completed. I purchased one key and it arrived quickly and looked great. To my dismay, the key didn't fit the 1/4" valve stem on my gas valve. This is a standard 3/4" gas log valve sold by BlueFlame.
At first I thought there was a problem where the powder coat had reduced the size of the opening. I took a fine file and pushed back the powder coat on the inside of the 1/4" portion of the opening. It still didn't work. I then thought that it was simply a manufacturing problem and returned the key and asked for a replacement. Well the replacement doesn't fit either so there is something wrong with the manufacturing process. I don't know about the 5/16" portion but a quick measurement against the smaller, supplied key shows that opening to be much larger than 5/16".
I'm disappointed as I've had to go to a longer 24" key to reach the valve but it is at least 10" too long and has to be removed after adjustment lest somebody trip over it while walking by. This product would have been perfect had it fit

We rent an old 3-story Victorian home with 8 bedrooms, 4 baths, and 3 kitchens. There's a lot to heat in the winter. Even with new furnace and heat pumps etc. it was costing us $800-$1100/month to heat during December-February. After trying several space heaters, we opted for one of these, and it really is a hit. I keep one in my office, one in my bedroom, and one in the living room. At night the one from the living room is moved upstairs to heat the kids' bedrooms. Because the radiator is quiet, I can take calls in my office without a problem. Because it isn't blowing out forced air, there's none of the sinus issues normally seen in winter when the heat is on. We just love them. This is our second year using this model. I'm going to pick up a few more and use them upstairs as well. My electric consumption for that first year dropped more than 50% and we stayed warmer. This year, we haven't used the central heat at all so far, and my electricity consumption has dropped almost 70% what it had been when I was trying to use the central heat and forced air space heaters. I was hoping they'd be cheaper this year, but even at this price, they're worth it. It's such a nice, even, pleasant heat. You don't have to be right near it. It won't burn your skin if you bump it, and you can turn it off or down at night if you get too warm.
I now own three different models of oil filled radiators. The Delonghi Safe Heat Oil-Filled Radiator with Overheat Audible Alarm is great, but not as quick to heat as the Delonghi Vento. The heat from the Vento radiates very quickly out the top of the unit. The Safe Heat heater puts a little more heat on the floor, so I am actually glad that I have a couple different models. We use the Safe Heat version in the bedroom because it is very quiet, and heats the floor a little quicker than the Vento. The Safe Heat also has an audible alarm if it overheats, and automatic tip-over shutoff. Those will be nice safety features while we sleep.
Back to the Vento: The timer feature is great; it allows you to automatically turn the heater on and off as many times as you want, up to every 15 minutes, for a full 24 hours! In the winter I plan to have it turn on early in the morning and heat up the living room while we're still sleeping. The analog timer is MUCH better than a digital timer in my opinion. A digital timer has limitations on how many times you can turn it on and off (usually only once or twice). For now, I just leave all the switches "on" and turn it on and off manually.
I have an older Lakewood digital thermostat radiator also; that one we cannot use in the bedroom because the digital relay system to turn it on and off is very noisy, and keeps us awake. Out of the three, it is also the slowest to heat up but it has lasted me 10 years so far so I can't complain. I feel that all analog controls and relays are much quieter than the digital versions. The digital thermostat is nice in the kitchen to set a minimum, but too noisy in the bedroom. .
The Vento is in the living room, puts out the (by far) quickest and most heat, and fills the room-again, less on the floor but it heats the room quicker. The edges are curved so there is less potential for injury, and it really puts out most of the heat up and into the air--the unit doesn't seem to get quite as hot to the touch. The Vento took about twice as long as the Safe Heat to "burn in", but I just put it on full blast outside for about 4 hours and it was good to go. There is much more metal in this unit to "burn in" so it makes sense...
I highly recommend the Safe Heat heater, and even more than the Vento if you want heat on the floor as well!!! It warms up very quickly and is very reasonably priced, and has great safety features. It is our choice for the bedroom.
but i only feel the heat when standing 7" away from it and/or hunching over the top of it.
AND it has to be 3ft away from anything/everything so you can't put it to the side of the room, or out of the way...
really disappointing heater ornament.
Update: okay, so it didn't work in my living room with high ceilings, so I put it in my bedroom to see if it would be better and it did! It was really hot and toasty. So I think depending on the room.... It will work great or, not. So glad I won't have to return it.

Honest reviews on DeLonghi TRH0715SH Oil-Filled Radiator with Overheat Audible Alarm
This heater must be kept around 2 meters from any walls, furniture, book shelves, etc. That's tough to do in a small apartment. In my case there was no place to put it that wasn't within 2 meters of something. Desperate for heat in a slumlord-owned building with a draft and a poor radiator I tried to use it anyway. No go. As soon as the unit would start to heat up it would shut off because it was too close to the closet. A safety mechanism that is a good feature to be sure -just look at all the poor people who burn themselves up trying to heat their homes each winter after their utilities are shut off. Still, I couldn't use it in my place. I wish I would have seen some mention of that on Amazon.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for DeLonghi TRH0715SH Oil-Filled Radiator with Overheat Audible Alarm

Real Flame Fresno Electric Fireplace in Dark Walnut Review
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $1,400.53
Sale Price: $774.37

I love the looks of this fireplace, but it is cheaply made.. It had alot of scratches and also missing parts.. Don't waste your money..
Other than every other complaint, it does look really nice. haha
Id give it a zero if i could, but for some reason it has to be at least a one.
POORLY CONSTRUCTED AND PACKAGED!
When I received my items:
*the top panel trim on the left side was coming off, there was a dent in the middle, and the trim on the right side was barely hanging on
*the base panel was cracked in the front
*the upper firebox trim was broken (piece that supports the top panel beneath the television and above the firebox insert)
*the 2 back panels had either a large vertical scratch or had a hole
*multiple discolorations (white where it should be black) and scratches throughout every piece
*Assembly guide included with the fireplace insert but not for the entertainment center (I had to Google search for it and found it on the Home Depot website.)
I beg you. Please do not buy this item! It is NOT worth the money and you might as well invest in an already assembled/mostly assembled fireplace/entertainment center locally. I called Cymax to get a WHOLE product replacement and they wanted pictures of the damages, which I sent. Although Cymax claimed it was a whole product replacement, Real Flame DID NOT send out a whole product replacement but only sent the replacement parts after reviewing my claim. Unfortunately, some of the replacement parts did not screw properly with the original parts that I had already. Also, the left side of the top panel was beginning to come off just like the original top panel that was being replaced. Since I tried to assemble the fireplace, it is not in it's original condition. Hence I did not even bother with returning it, getting up to 50% of the price paid, and deducting even more for shipping the item back to Cymax. Needless to say, I threw everything away out of sheer frustration and bought an electric fireplace/entertainment center from Havertys.
A complete disaster, waste of money, and time!!!
Pros: Beautiful. nice color, Sturdy, movable shelves, good overall width and height. The fireplace is really nice with the ability to give off heat or not and the dynamic flame. There is a large area of open space behind the fireplace unit.
Cons: Very little room between shelves and the back covering board. So for larger plugs it is a problem. The width of the individual shelves is an issue. My receiver did not fit (i looked up a bunch of other receivers dimensions and they would have the same problem). I had to take the back board off and push it in from the back. I left plenty of space above for overheating issues. There were some defects in the wood but you can only seen them when your right next to it. Many of the bolts that are locked in did not match up perfectly. The front right portion also did not match up with the molding from the sides to the center portion. The fireplace portion has chainmail type covering over the glass. This does not sit perfectly vertical but you only really notice when your close. The fireplace unit (which is separate)does not fit perfectly against the rear of the hearth portion (center) but it does screw in so it is secure.

This has got to be the most expensive piece of crap Ive ever paid for. Normally I would flush it down the toilet, but this wouldnt fit. Theyve had to ship out a new base, the original was cracked. One of the middle pieces fell apart as i was screwing it together, must be that high quality china glue. When i recieved the new base, i started putting it together and one of the cheap plastic threaded inserts was missing. So now i still cant put this thing together. Almost every part has some type of damage to it. Typical China crap!!!Other than every other complaint, it does look really nice. haha
Id give it a zero if i could, but for some reason it has to be at least a one.

I bought this item but with the gel fireplace insert. The entertainment center is still the same model number but this product has the electric fireplace insert.POORLY CONSTRUCTED AND PACKAGED!

Arrived in 2 days with Prime. Assembly was extremely easy and only took 30-45 minutes. Fireplace looks great and the Walnut finish looks fantastic. The space behind the fireplace unit offers a lot of room for surge protectors and cords so the unit can sit flush against the wall. Highly recommended.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Real Flame Fresno Electric Fireplace in Dark Walnut
This is actually a beautiful entertainment center. i love it and everyone that has seen it so far has said how much they love it.There is a strong odor when you remove it from the box but it goes away quickly. I gave it 3 stars due to the cons but overall its a nice piece.Pros: Beautiful. nice color, Sturdy, movable shelves, good overall width and height. Best "Honeywell/kaz Home Environme" HZ-2200 Mini Tower Surround Heater Deals
This is a great little heater. I got it for my daughter's room a little over a month ago because Consumer Reports rated it highly. For $25 bucks, it does all I ask. What I like is that you can set it you heat 360 degrees or only push the heat to the front. I set it to the latter, because it's so compact a good place for it is on top of a dresser.
Only thing I wish it had was a digital thermostatic control, but after a couple days of fiddling, you get just the right temperature and can leave it there, tweaking it if necessary.
This year i brought it out to use, plugged it in for day use and on the second day it started turning off on me after about 3 min of use. I unplugged it and let it cool off since it got amazingly hot after that 3 min and i discovered the black, round casing with the holes in it that goes around the top, had melted itself open in the back.
I loved this heater last year but can only give it 2 stars due to longevity.

Worked well the first year. Second year it overheated to the point that the plastic was soft and the knobs would burn you if you touched them. It annoys me that so much junk gets sold today. I would much rather have paid a higher price for a heater that was reliable year after year.Best Deals for "Honeywell/kaz Home Environme" HZ-2200 Mini Tower Surround Heater

My friend had one of these and it works really well. I have radiators in my apt. and living in an area where the weather changes every 5 minutes, they are not really practicle. This is nice for the seasonal changes.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for "Honeywell/kaz Home Environme" HZ-2200 Mini Tower Surround Heater
Granted, I've had the heater for a couple of years now... But for this price, the thing should last for years, walk the dogs, and babysit my kids if it's not actually going to heat my home office (10'x12'). Implication being that it doesn't heat my office. Exactly. The heater never worked well, and now it doesn't work at all. It turns on. And it blows warm air ineffectively for anywhere from 2.5 seconds to a minute, then it shuts itself off and doesn't come back on until you've completely forgotten about its existence and your hands are small blocks of ice. It absolutely will not stay on but even when it was new and stayed on a little longer, it was pathetic. Complete junk. No idea where the receipt is. May roof test it because the entertainment I'd get for that would be worth well more than the little puffs of warm air it erratically produces.Wednesday, January 22, 2014
Pro-Com Dual Fuel Blue Flame Wall Heater (MD100HBA) Reviews
I bought this for backup heat as our central furnace is very old and the pilot goes out occasionally. We also live in an area where power has been out for ten days twice in the past five years. Once I installed it, I decided to leave it on to save on heating bills. Now our 60% efficient furnace kicks on half as often saving us enough to pay for the heater. I set the thermostat just below that of the main and it keeps this small house tolerable even if we lose power in the middle of the night. The main furnace went out the other night and we didn't even realize it until lunch.
Just this week the oxygen depletion sensor started shutting it down. I reread the manual and realized I had never cleaned it which requires only a Phillips head screwdriver to take it apart, Windex to clean the surfaces, and a straw to blow the dust out of the burner. When the flames stay yellow on the tips it is time for a cleaning.
I am heating double the capacity. Good thing that is not so cold in California. Next winter I will buy the larger unit and we will use this unit in the smaller room. Got rid of the ceiling mildew problem due to an old fashion central floor heater in this uninsulated, turn of the last century, farm house. We added a vent high in the wall per instructions in order to circulate the heat and left the doors open.
It is hard starting on occasion. I thing that this is due to timing. If too much gas enters before ignition, the oxygen safety sensor kicks in. Usually, letting it rest a while will result in a start. The start button sticks from time too time. Good quality components inside and easy to switch to propane in an emergency.
Starting the unit requires you to hold the button down for a bit until you get enough gas to light the pilot. Then you have to hold that pilot for a solid minute or longer to keep it from going out. Once going the heat takes quite a while to warm a space up. I honestly wish I would have bought something else. When temps dropped into the 30's outside it took 1.5 hours to warm up my well insulated space. Kind of disappointing since I use it as a home gym area and need it to warm up much faster than that. I guess it's my fault for not researching that better but it's not really indicated by the manufacturer. If you need something to run for many hours it is just fine then.

Different dealers on Amazon where out of stock on this heater. Amazon referred one more and they were actually cheaper.I am heating double the capacity. Good thing that is not so cold in California. The Pro-Com wall heater I purchased for my 192 sq ft garage/workshop. The shipping I was a little disappointed with since it took almost a full week just to leave the shipper but it was free so I anticipated a wait regardless. The unit itself was a bear to get working well. I ended up needing a 2 stage propane regulator which is not spelled out at all in the ProCom manual. I have a 100 lb tank as recommended and you need to keep your gas pipe run as short as possible and use 1/2" pipe to stay within their guidelines.Starting the unit requires you to hold the button down for a bit until you get enough gas to light the pilot.
