CG Keystone Electric Stove Wht (ES5134) - Review
Perfect to heat up an unheated California Room on a chilly Southern California Desert night. Love it so much, thinking of getting another one for a different room.

Review of Schumacher 127 12V Beverage Heater
Usless Piece Of "Chianese Garbage"
Worked 1 Time and never worked again,
Even the 1ST time I used it The piece Crap did not heat very well
Beware Do Not Waste Your Time or Money on this Junk
Find another Brand if you want one that works.Day one: Used it for cream of asparagus soup. Hooked it up about thirty minutes before I was ready to have lunch. When I came to get it the soup had burned onto the metal heater coil in the device. It stopped working. I threw it away. Maybe it works ok for fluids but if you're trying to heat a cream based soup or other thick soup in it....beware.

This is a great machine, I have recommended it to everyone I know.
Here are some facts so you can see if it's right for you:
1) It cools the air. Enough so that if you point it at yourself you will get goosebumps. You can also use it as fan. It moves more air than a typical household fan.
2) It is only meant to cool 250 square feet which means it works wonders in our bedroom but in our living room it can cool down our sofa area but not the whole room.
3) It's louder than a fan but it's quieter than an idling truck.
4) Ridiculously easy to use, fill, and clean.
5) When you turn on the cooling element it will make a slight crinkling sound as water is sucked into the filter. That's normal. It also will decrease the fan speed if you have it on 3 (high) for a few minutes to get the cooling going and then will turn back to 3 (high) once it's cooled. Don't fiddle with it.
6) It has a timer that you can set in 30 minute intervals. The timer counts down in 30 minute intervals as well, which is a slight flaw in my opinion.
7) It doesn't oscillate. I'm not sure if any swamp coolers oscillate but it would have been so great if it did because it's too cold to have pointed directly at the bed continuously.
8) Lastly it works great in Colorado because of the arid environment (We're also somewhat high in elevation). It won't work as well in semi-arid or Mediterranean environments such as California (West of the Sierras).
TIP 1: Leave two windows cracked open for cross ventilation This would be stupid if we were talking about AC's but if a EC is left running in a closed up house or room, it will make the room humid and not cool it down. You want to have dry (outdoor) air come in through the EC so it cools down the air and blows it through the room. When it cools the air down, it makes a little more humid than it was before so you also want a cross draft so the warm air and any humidity has a place to escape. I put my EC about a foot in front of a cracked window so it gets a fresh supply of dry air and I leave another window cracked open on the other side of the room so warm and humid air will escape. If it gets very hot outside I sometimes close the cracked windows until it gets a little too humid for my liking then open them again this method works well for me but your milage may vary.
TIP 2: Use ice water in the water reservoir Putting ice and or cooling packs in the reservoir along with water will help keep the water cold which in turn make the EC work more efficiently.
TIP 3: Clean your EC out occasionally ECs will accumulate dust and dirt from the air so it if the air it's blowing out smells dusty or is causing allergies it probably just needs a good rinse. Fortunately this unit is very easy to clean.
LIMITATION 1: Won't work if it's humid. Get an AC if you live in a humid climate.
LIMITATION 2: Won't cool down 105ºF air down to 65ºF No EC will do this or at least not in a reasonable amount of time. If you follow my tips though, you can get 105 degrees down to 78.
ECs are cheaper, more efficient and better for the environment than AC's but definitely have their limitations. If evaporative coolers are right for you, this a is a good buy.
I live in New Mexico and this year it's unbearably hot out there. I live in a town house that already has a swamp cooler, but management seems to think that this tiny cooler blowing through one vent on the second floor is enough to cool the entire house. WRONG! The air isn't even cool anymore by the time it reaches the first floor. It's awful. A cooler that size can only do so much when it's over 100 degrees. So I decided to shop for a portable one for downstairs and found this one. It sounded like a great deal for the price. I got it in and it is WONDERFUL!!! It's almost too cold in here, I'm in love!! It was easy to set up. Just fill and plug it in and you're good to go. I LOVE that it has a remote and that it's small and aesthetically pleasing. It's also very quiet and gets cool right away. I like the wheels on the bottom too, it's great that I can roll it to the kitchen for when I'm cooking. I didn't cook a thing for the first part of the summer because the stove just makes it impossible in this heat. The ice packs are REALLY helpful for the crazy hot days too, great idea!! I highly recommend this cooler, especially to all of you New Mexicans out there. It's MORE than worth it, I'm VERY happy with it!!!!!!
I highly recommend this product if you're looking for something that isn't an eye sore and powerful at the same time!
The only assembly was putting the included battery into the remote control. I put the ice packs into my freezer but as it turned out I didn't need them at least not yet.
Washing the water tank (recommended for first use) was easy and replacing it when full was no problem. I set it up in the kitchen because of the hard flooring there just in case of leaks but no leaks. The controls are easy to use without the instruction booklet but the instructions are also easy to read and follow.
The area to be cooled is above the upper limit of 250 square feet and it has a cathedral ceiling as well but the cooling effect was almost immediate. My desk is at the far side of the room and I am quite comfortable now. The noise is a very light white noise kind of sound no clanking. Quieter than most fans.
AS of now I am sitting by a west facing window in the afternoon 90degrees outside and very comfortable inside. As a plus, the extra humidity feels wonderful without being gooey like usual humidifiers. I was particularly concerned about too much moisture because of all my books but this is not a problem.
The unit also looks good with my modern furniture and seems well designed. It has wheels that are a little difficult on carpeting but it also has handles molded into the sides so even short little me can lift it without trouble. I will update this review as the expected heat wave is in progress. But right now I am so glad I ordered it.

I noticed all the bad reviews on evaporative coolers but having lived in a dry climate most of my life (Colorado), I can tell you this is a high quality EC and any decent EC will work fine if you follow a couple of rules. Please understand these are coming from people in non-humid climates or people who are in dry climates and don't understand how these work differently than ACs.TIP 1: Leave two windows cracked open for cross ventilation This would be stupid if we were talking about AC's but if a EC is left running in a closed up house or room, it will make the room humid and not cool it down. *****NOTE: If you live in a humid climate, this will not work. It's not made for that. Honest reviews on Luma Comfort EC110S Portable Evaporative Cooler
My husband and I were looking for something that would work in our climate (pretty dry with very little humidity) when we thought we'd give this a shot. It's great!!! It's super quiet which is important to us since our dog freaks out at most loud noises. It's also much better looking then the ones we've seen in the stores. It cools our living room down perfectly and uses a ton less energy than an AC unit.I highly recommend this product if you're looking for something that isn't an eye sore and powerful at the same time!

I seldom need any cooling up here in the mountains but it has been getting warmer in June and before the rains begin in July than was normal in the past. So with the forecast for the weekend over 90 I decided to order this. I wanted something light and better at cooling than a fan. The humidity is always low here usually around 10%. So this seemed ideal. It arrived sooner than promised so was in time for the predicted hot weather. I'm on Prime so no shipping costs. Unpacking the box was easy. A local store carries this model but for $20 more and they were out of stock and "would order it for me" but I would have to pick it up at the store and carry it home in my little car. LOL I LOVE AMAZON!!! Delivery right to the door. The only assembly was putting the included battery into the remote control. Cheap Lasko Pro Performance Blower Fan, 4900
Hey folks! I must say that this Lasko fan is VERY impressive. I've owned this fan for well over 5 years ... and it works just as good as day 1.
It's exceptionally quite because it uses a turbine not blades. It moves a vast amount of air, even on low speed. It would blow away any typical $15 box fan. I'd be willing to bet that it would outperform an 18" Patten high velocity air circulator! It's also better than the similar looking Stanley, which get high marks from reviewers here.
I found that the Stanley is a smaller less powerful fan and it's not built as tough. Remember to compare the size and weight and you'll see a difference. For an extra $10, this fan is a much better buy.
Incidentally, I have 3 cats and I had suspected that cat fur might have reduced the performance of this fan ... so I decided to take it apart. This was easily done by removing approximately 8 screws. My suspicions were correct! I found what appeared to be a 1/2 inch thick blanket of cat hair on the turbine. This was nearly choking the air flow. I cleaned it out and then blew it out with my air compressor. The fan now runs like new, full force again.
The reason to tell this cat story is simply you need to know that this fan is serviceable ... by you, as long as you own a Philips screwdriver. Other fans cannot be serviced and would NEVER last over 5 years.
I saw no reviews on this fan, so I felt compelled to let you know my experience. I would recommend this fan over ANY other fan without hesitation.
One last note: as an alternate choice, I also had this Lasko tower fan (turbine) for over 5 years. Lasko #4924 High Velocity Blower (overpriced here $49 at Sam's Club)
Cheers!
Jeff
The design is shared with a few other brands but this one additionally has the power outlets on the side. Those might come in handy for tools. The power cord is a large grounded version that is about 8' long. The angle (height) can be adjusted. Although I'd just like to point out here that due to the smaller than normal footprint of this fan, it can easily be sat on top of other things, making placement very flexible. It pulls air in from the side so if you are trying to pull in fresh air, it will need to be sat back a little farther than a standard fan with blades.
Noise, while present, is not excessive. Actually, it's not too bad at all. I could sit and watch TV with this thing running and it wouldn't be too distracting. The sound is a constant and doesn't consist of any clicking or rattling noises that would become annoying.
I really like this fan and plan to use it for many things.
They move a ton of air, and do it much quieter than a normal fan. Very highly recommended.

Just wanted to update my review a bit, I have had this fan going on at least 10 years and it still works just like new. It sure doesn't look like it, but I have had no problems what so ever with it. A few times it has gotten so dirty and full of dust that I have used my small pressure washer to blast it clean, and it still works great. Probably wouldn't recommend doing that, but hey it owes me nothing at this point.
It's very simply to fix, takes 15 mins, and just two tools.
You'll need a Philips screwdriver and a 10mm socket.
All but one of the screws are the same size, so no need to worry about what screw comes from what hole.
Unplug the unit!
With the unit sitting up right, take the 2 screws out of the black housing (opposite of the power side). One is just below the handle, one is in the back below the cylinder.
Now, sit the unit on its side (power side down). From the bottom supports, take out the two screws in each support from the side you've just taken the screws from.
Now, you can take off the outside panel with the grating on it.
With that off, you can see the handle attaches into the inside of the black housing. Here's the different screw you need to take off, from the handle, you'll see a smaller silver screw, take that off and now you can remove the cylinder with the inside black panel attached.
Lift up, you'll have to spin the cylinder around until you'll see there is a notch out of it that matches up with a notch on the inside. Sit the cylinder aside.
You'll see the blower cylinder, and it's attached with a bolt to the main cylinder (what it spins on). Use the 10mm socket and unscrew it.
Take the plastic cover and bolt off by lifting straight up on it.
Before you lift off the cylinder, give it a spin. On mine, it was still brushing up against the plastic, that's the noise that you hear in the one video review, or what you've heard in person. Now, you can lift up the blower cylinder. Sit both aside.
Leave the washer on the blower spindle (where the blower cylinder sits on). You'll hopefully see three silver screws holding the motor to the housing. Make sure they are tight.
Sit the blower cylinder back onto the spindle. It has a flat spot on the spindle that needs to match up with the blower cylinder. Do NOT try to force it on, it should slide right on. Now, give the cylinder a spin, notice if it still makes any noise, or if it's now very quiet.
Just repeat the process to put it back together. Make sure to tighten the bolt for the blower cylinder but not overly tight, as you are dealing with plastic! The one thing I did differently was when putting on the yellow cylinder, I lined it up with the handle and then rather than try to fish the notches together by spinning it around, I just pushed it down gently until it popped over the notch.
7 screws and one bolt later, I was a very happy customer. Hopefully, this helps you if you find the motor making awful noise. Good luck.
I'd recommend this over any fan I've ever had. Buy it and you will find many uses for it that will truly save you.

This is truly an amazing fan. I was at a local BBQ place and they had one of these circulating air in there. It was putting out so much air that I had to go take a look to see what brand it was. So I ordered one the same day from Amazon. I'm somewhat of a hobby person around the house and on occasion I need something to remove fumes (paint, glue, whatever) from an enclosed area... quickly. This thing will do it.The design is shared with a few other brands but this one additionally has the power outlets on the side. Those might come in handy for tools. I agree 100% with the other review. I also purchased this probably 5 years ago from Sams club and have since purchased a few more. I have used these daily working as a trim carpenter to keep the air moving in the homes during those hot days and they keep on ticking. They get dirty, bang around in the back of the truck, have gotten wet, and still work like the day they were new. They move a ton of air, and do it much quieter than a normal fan. Very highly recommended.

I took a gamble and ordered one of these, even with the bad reviews lately with the noise. Powered mine on, and yep, super noisy just the other reviews. Being a very handy person, I decided I'm going to fix this or attempt to. One caveat, I've taken my furnace apart and changed out my blower motor, so this little fan didn't scare me. The problem I found was the motor, which is screwed in on the side with the power plug and outlet, was not screwed in, almost not at all. There are 3 screws holding on the motor to the housing. Two of the screws were only 25% screwed in, the third screw was inside the black housing (thankfully). It's very simply to fix, takes 15 mins, and just two tools.
You'll need a Philips screwdriver and a 10mm socket.

I read hundreds of product reviews every year and have for 10 years, but almost never write one. I bought this fan at a Wal-mart a month ago for $45. I had not read any reviews, but wandered by the fan aisle at Wal-Mart that day. I wanted to find the quietest and most powerful. Guess what? It turned out the same fan was quietest and most powerful! That got my attention first. Next as I stood in front of it, it honestly cooled me off even there in the store and I got that same wonderful feeling I had when I was in grade school and we had the big fan on the floor and I'd aim it up and let it blow up my t-shirt. I winced a bit at the $45 price since many simple fans are half the price. I went ahead and bought it spur of the moment (as I had no plans to buy or consider a fan). I keep it near my recliner where I watch TV and it has saved me much in AC bills as it keeps me cool with that strong stream of air. Also, when I travel by car, I take it with me and it's a fantastic thing to have in the hotel room as it equalizes the temp and provides a steady strong stream to cool off completely in less than a minute when you've been out in the hot Texas weather. I'm thinking of getting several more so I don't have to pick this one up and move it with me. I'm certified in disaster recovery and this would be an excellent fan to more quickly dry an area which potentially could be at risk for mold if left for more than 48 hours. It's one of those products that now I would fight to keep! Not bad for an impulse purchase!!I'd recommend this over any fan I've ever had. Buy it and you will find many uses for it that will truly save you.

I purchased this because my boyfriend was using the wet dry vac to clean out the ashes from the smoker...thats right, the wet dry vac. I am sure some are thinking, "Why not?" Because ash is very fine and filthy and the wet dry vac is not dedicated to this singular purpose. As such, another solution needed to be put into place. While this is not as quick or efficient, the curved scoop works perfectly along the bottom of the smoker and my wet dry vac has half a chance for survival. Great product. Excellent construction.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Minuteman International C-65MC Coal Hod / Pellet Bucket with Scoop
Perfect size for 20-2 lbs of pellets and easy to handle around the stove. Has an excellent finish where the pellets slide easily-very nice. Drawback: The pour spout should be narrower so the pellets don't spread out so much when pouting into the hopper and a little longer. A regular old fashioned coal hod is an example of a spout that is well engineered.Wednesday, July 9, 2014

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I am not a huge fan of electric heaters, but my wife cannot live without them. Problem with them typically is that it is very very warm near the heater, and not so warm away from the heater. Uneven heat distribution actually makes the room less comfortable.
This heater does a better job by allowing you to split the heater into two halves. And yes, that does provide better heat distribution.
But so would having two small heaters spread out across a room. The only thing you save is the outlet.
I am not too keen on the point of it all. Perhaps it is easier to carry than two independent units for some?
It is a good heater though. Both parts are effective heaters in and of themselves.
The heater is easy to use, both as a tower and as a "stereo" heat source. It is true that the tower formation does not hold together super securely, but it works for me to be able to separate the heaters without having to give one of them a bear hug. This is a ceramic heater that will never reach the temperature necessary to combust paper, but it is still not safe to leave it on unattended, including overnight (I'm pretty sure that's the same for all space heaters the same warnings came with my oil-filled radiator and my infrared quartz heater).
First of all, it's easy to set up right out of the box. Even if you haven't read the instructions although you really should. :)
It's lightweight and easy to carry around. Also, it works fast. I felt heat the SECOND I turned it on.
It has a programmable thermostat. It tells you the current temp. of the room. You select the temp you would LIKE, and it automatically warms the room to that temperature, and then stops running. That feature is going to save us some money on our electric bill. Our other space heaters just run and run until we shut them off.
It's nice that you can separate the two halves of the unit. You can have one unit at your feet and the other near your upper body. Or you can share the heat with another person. The halves fit together easily and neatly.
If I had to pick a negative, I would say that there are a LOT of cords lying around. It sometimes looks messy to see all the wires. But that's a little nit-picky. This is a great space heater with lots of nice features.
Also, the one I received also seems to have a thermostat glitch. I turned in on in our bedroom last night where it was probably around 67 degrees. Our bedroom has a very high ceiling and is always chilly. The heater was set to 71 and would not kick in. I turned it up and nothing. I'll continue to investigate this issue and update if anything changes.
We have several tower space heaters in our home and this is by far the least useful. If I was purchasing another heater I would get an oscillating fan that has quieter controls. I found the control beeps on this heater to be loud, especially if you're using it at night when kids are asleep nearby.
When plugging the heater in you immediately get a thermostat display, which after selecting the auto mode, can be raised or lowered. The display on the thermostat said 77. After selecting auto mode I lowered the thermostat to 70 for each heater. For some reason the display jumps back up to a higher setting apparently what it believes is the current room temperature. The thermostat appears to be off by a number of degrees. The heater seems to work just fine in manual mode, but that means the heater is constantly running.
The book doesn't help with this issue other than to say if it's not coming on, you've already reached that temperature. I can guarantee it's not even close to 77 in here and wouldn't want it to.
I did raise the temperature setting on the thermostat to 75 and both heaters came on for a time. The thermostat display now says 82 and the heater hasn't come back on over a half hour later and it's been rather chilly in here for awhile. I've since raised the thermostat a few degrees and it's still not coming back on.
I'd give the product 5 stars for looks and the ability to use it up to 9' apart if it worked, but with the malfunctioning thermostat this is practically useless for what we need, hence the rating it received.
Amended 10/26. Was able to get a hold of customer service using the phone number on the instructions booklet. The number is listed a number of times throughout the booklet including calling regarding the 3-year warranty. I was told that this is the wrong number to call for the Ambia product line and the guy apologized but said he had no idea what number I should be calling.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This heater stinks. Literally. I guess there's a burn-in period with heaters in plastic housings, because I've returned other heaters for the same reason. It's a bit disconcerting. The fan is also pretty noisy when it's on high, but the offset for that is that this heater brings the room temperature up to comfort level very quickly. The heater is easy to use, both as a tower and as a "stereo" heat source. Honest reviews on Ambia Ach-220 Portable Two Zone Ceramic Tower Heater
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The top heating unit does not lock into the base heating unit. When moving the heater from room to room, the top heater tumbled off and cracked against my right hand in an awkward way, giving my fingers a "stubbed" feeling for a little while. This was annoying when it was cool, but I can't imagine this thing falling off if the unit was hot. You'd need a pot holder to put it back into place. Also, the one I received also seems to have a thermostat glitch. I turned in on in our bedroom last night where it was probably around 67 degrees. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I unpacked my new heater with much anticipation. The two heaters stacked look more like a speaker and take up less room than the Ambia side-by-side dual heaters that sits on a base. One control on the top heater determines if the top, bottom or both will be running. There is also a thermostat setting which is supposed to allow you to set both the top and bottom independently of each other, especially useful when using them up to 9' apart. This flexibility is perfect for our cold office. When plugging the heater in you immediately get a thermostat display, which after selecting the auto mode, can be raised or lowered. I did not order this product via Amazon but through another source. Because I was new to dehydrators I was not certain how much time it took for things to dry. I did a lot of research: read a lot and spoke to a lot of people who worked regularly w/ dehydrators. I figured there was a learning curve and I used the machine for a number of months, rarely getting the results I expected. I finally realized the motor/heat gauge on my dehydrator was malfunctioning and sent it back. I was sent another one and it arrived with the temp control knob broken off and no way to fix it. The knob had been attached with a incorrect component that was too short to fit from the knob into the dehydrator. (Also, the shelves had not been packed "evenly" and it was amazing they hadn't broken.) The next dehydrator I received was packed well, but there was one small screw and washer inside the machine, floating around, not attached to anything, and it was unclear where exactly it came from. I began using the dehydrator anyway, it seemed to work the first two days, but then it developed a rattle and the temp gauge again seems to be wrong. 105 degrees is very cool air. I do need to say I haven't put a thermometer inside to check.
I feel like I bought a loser. I don't know who is assembling these simple machines, but it does not seem as if they are trained well. I can not vouch for the temp control. Simple crackers take beyond 40 hours to dry. I would go with a different brand if I did this again.
I have finally given it a break since I got it set up, and I have made some grawnola, bananas, apples, flax crackers, and a few other dried veggies for snacks and it has done an amazing job.
I am sure someone will get one with a bad motor, or danaged tray at some point and give it bad reviews, but I personally enjoy it and think it was a wise investment.
I have an email I received from Customer service that I will update with a few of the tidbits from it later.
I would just caution to be aware.

Be warned with 12 sq ft of drying space this is a sizeable counter top addition, I dislike that you cannot just turn it on and let it run, you have to set the timer for it to start running, but that is a nice safety feature (I can be forgetful)I have finally given it a break since I got it set up, and I have made some grawnola, bananas, apples, flax crackers, and a few other dried veggies for snacks and it has done an amazing job.

I actually own 6 of these units (I dry fruits and vegetables for farmer's markets). Needless to say, owning 6 of them...these machines are marvelous. I have never had one go out on me (and in all reality, the construction of these is pretty simple...heating element, a fan, racks, and a timer). The space in the racks is perfect. The units run out quietly. I am a 100% believer in the STX Dehydra and would recommend them to any person looking to acquire a reliable and affordable entry-level dehydrator.Honest reviews on Good4U 10 Tray Dehydrator with 40 Hour Digital Timer - Black
I love the functionality of this unit but I have had it for about 4 years and every year something else stops working. Now they have been good thus far about reparing this unit for the three times I have already had to send it back but this time I am just done. Good4U customer service is FAR from service. I actually had an employee practically yelling at me on the phone and told me the phones were for vendors and customers needed to send emails. REALLY???? Well as my unit no longer powers on (the same issue I had just about one year ago) it unfortunately is going to end up in a land fill unless I cand find someone local to look at it. After paying shipping three times already Im not sure how much more Im willing to put into this unit.I have an email I received from Customer service that I will update with a few of the tidbits from it later.
I would just caution to be aware.

I've used this product ALOT. I have made my own beef jerky and dried fruits. I have probably saved the amount of money I spent on the Dehydrator with as much jerky as I have made. It works well and I put the trays in the dish washer. Overall great product.Saturday, May 24, 2014
Buy Pelonis Heater/Fan
I have central heat, but for whatever reason by the time the air gets to the vents in my room, it's cold and my infant son sleeps in the room with me so I need it warm. The heater I was using (Lasko 6410 Designer Series Oscillating Ceramic Heater) only adjusts the thermostat in 5 degree increments but 70 let the room get to about 65 before it kicked on and heated the room to around 80 if I picked 75, so there was no happy medium.
From all the heaters I've looked at and the ones we have in the house (2 different models of Lasko oscillating ceramic heaters, which are digitally programmable but have annoying beeps, only have 1500w and 900w settings, no fan only setting, and cost almost twice as much), this is the best value. I personally do prefer a ceramic heater (I think they're safer and faster at heating a room), but I gave this one a try even though it's a fan-forced model because Pelonis is supposed to be a good brand and their ceramic heaters are expensive. I figured even if it only lasts a year or two that I will have gotten my money's worth out of it since it was so inexpensive.
This is the only space heater I've found that has a 600 watt energy setting and one of the few that has 3 (600w, 900w, and 1500w). Most only have 2. 1500 or 1200 seems to be the default and the ones that have an "energy saver" setting generally go to 900. The ones I've seen that go lower are over $50. Even though this heater is very compact, it warms up my 300ish square foot room set to a moderate temperature (can't set the thermostat for a specific temp) using the low energy setting.
For under $30 this is what you get with this heater:
-No plasticky new heater smell that needs to air out for 3 hours running on high in the garage or some other out of the way location (One of the Laskos had the smell but the other didn't)
-Cool touch housing -manual says it might get hot and that the air coming out might burn, but I've experienced neither even with basically constant use
-Overheat protection
-Auto shut off if tipped over
-600w low energy setting
-Fan only setting
-Adjustable thermostat
-Very quiet (the Laskos have louder fans)
-Very compact (less than 12" tall and approx. 9"x4" footprint)
-Element heats instantly so no waiting around while cold air is blowing on you
-Very effective at producing steady heat
-1 year warranty
-Carry handle in the back so it can easily be repositioned or moved to other rooms
Things it doesn't do:
-oscillate
-give specific thermostat settings (but I just discovered on mine that putting the thermostat in the middle of the 2nd lowest setting makes it turn on around 68)
Overall, this is a great unit. It does everything I need and I got it for about $26 including shipping. I would definitely purchase it again and I have already recommended it to my friends.

This fan replaced my old Pelonis fan that finally died after ten years or so. I like that it has three heat settings and an adjustable fan. The internal thermostat will kick it off when it reaches that stage. If it gets knocked off the surface that it's sitting on, it will cut off. It provides the instant direct heat that I wanted. It keeps my home office nice a toasty without me having to warm up the whole house by turning the main thermostat up. I would buy this fan again and again and again.Best Deals for Pelonis Heater/Fan
This is a great product. I have 2 Pelonis heaters. This one operates very quietly and has the advantage of using lower wattage settings than other similar heaters. Low operates at 600 watts which is the reason I bought this heater. It also has a thermostat which is nice. It doesn't smell like many ceramic heaters when they heat up. It produces uniform heat and doesn't blow really hard (the fan speed isn't really high).Honest reviews on Pelonis Heater/Fan
I purchased this portable heater to use in my 18 foot RV. This little unit works great. I can heat the entire RV in about 20 minutes. There is not a numeric temperature setting, but after a few uses you get an idea of where to set the knob to get to your desired temperature. There is also a fan setting that doesn't produce heat but would work to create some air movement in the summer and to act as "white noise". I'm a fairly light sleeper and the fan on this unit isn't loud enough to wake me at night when it kicks on. This little heater is light weight, portable, inexpensive and works like a charm. My biggest worry with a portable heater was the fire risk. I don't use this heater when I'm not around to monitor it. When I turn it off after it's been on all night, the counter top underneath of it isn't even warm to touch. The unit kicks off a good amount of heat but doesn't get too hot for me to pick it up by the built in handle. It operates quietly so I can use it while I'm watching TV or on the phone without difficulty. The cord is a good length to be able to place it a few feet away from other objects to avoid fire risk. Overall, I recommend this item. I purchased it through Amazon with my Prime membership. I bought it on a Wednesday and received it on Friday.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Pelonis Heater/Fan
I bought this heater for work because I work in a very cold office. The heater works well enough, but it is noisier than the other reviews suggested. I guess it is quiet enough for the home, but not for a quiet office. It's also not very stable and falls over really easily. I will keep this one, but if I have to buy a space heater again, I probably won't buy this one.Friday, April 18, 2014
Hi-Tek Oak Ridge Circulating Fan System Review
Smaller then I thought it would be. Overall size is 4 3/4" square, 2" thick. Very Heavy all metal construction. Made in Taiwan which explains its heavy cast iron construction. Nice and quiet. I don't see a UL approval label on it though.
Update:
We ran the fan now constantly for about 4 month, all winter long. It has been going day and night with no problems. Still very happy with it.

This is the second fan from this manufacturer that I have purchased. The first fan was purchased 10 years ago and still is running and quiet. I bought the second fan to help with circulating the air from my heater to the other rooms in my house. These fans run all winter long (6 months). I have even used these fans when it gets to hot in the summer to help cool the house. I can't think of anything bad to write about these fans. They are quiet, durable, hardly noticeable when mounted. These fans are well worth the money paid up front. For the length of time they last, the cost is cheap. I would recommend these to anyone interested in wanting to buy a fan to help circulate the heat down your halls and into the other rooms in your house.Best Deals for Hi-Tek Oak Ridge Circulating Fan System
We've had five of the Oak Ridge circulating fans over the years. Unfortunately, they don't last more than two years before they slow down and then stop altogether. We have a pellet stove and I'm assuming that it's dust from the stove that gums it up (I'm not sure why because the fan is located about 25 feet from the stove). I can't find any way of disassembling the unit to clean/lube it. I've tried forced air and electrical contact cleaner and neither freed it up. Why have we bought 4-5 of them? All but one unit has been exceptionally quiet and they run great until they seize up. At $40 a pop, it's a little expensive, but we haven't found a quieter unit on the market. If we do, we'll see if it can hold up longer than the Oak Ridge. Our latest fan started slowing down the other night and now it has stopped altogether. NOTE: The one unit that was noisy still runs, so we usually use it until we buy a new one.Honest reviews on Hi-Tek Oak Ridge Circulating Fan System
The fan feels heavy and sturdy. It is quiet and moves a lot of air. Our wood stove is in the basement and we have two upper floors. It raised the temperature upstairs by several degrees. We run it constantly and we hardly notice the noise. We are happy with the product.Update:

This is a good little fan. Easy to mount and has a switch. In a perfect world I'd like to have a white cord. It moves the air well but, it is not quiet. In reality, any fan that is that small and moving 55 cfm is going to make noise. You just can't expect it to be quiet. It raised the temp in my far hallway by 5 degrees and that's what I wanted. Recently purchased this heater after borrowing it from a family member. My husband likes this one even better due to ability of adjusting the amount of heat. Overall very happy with the product. However, upon opening the box I found that the product was damanged either in packing from manufacturer or shipping. The lines that feed the burners were kinked/bent. These are rubber supply lines so should work but could restrict gas supply. In addition, I found that both protective grates on front were so badly bent they would not attach or stay on the burners. Lastly, I found I had to straighten one of the burners on the T-Mount as it was tweaked a bit. Again Century makes great products, just wished it arrived in better condition.Honest reviews on Century 28,000 BTU Double Head Heater
There is no way that can install the heads the way they show at least not with the emergency valve pointing up as instructed. Otherwise it works OK. I thought I'd get double the heat out of the double head but that's not so. I have to be practically sitting right next to the heater in order to sense any warmth.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Century 28,000 BTU Double Head Heater
Worked perfectly right out of the box. Took it on a camping trip 3 weeks later and used it over a period of 4 days. Lighted perfectly every time, burned clean and hot. No odor. Excellent product
