This heater does not heat an area anywhere near 1500 sq. ft. In an open kitchen, dining, living space that is not even 1000 sq. ft., this heater does not raise the temperature even a couple (two) degrees after running for an hour.

I ordered the Red Bar Style "Roosevelt" 8 ounce popcorn machine for our soccer league concession stand this past August. I had done a lot of searching to try & find something that would fit in to our budget but was still of a commercial grade. What a GREAT find this was! The machine is great, pops the corn quickly, cleans up very easily & the drawer in the bottom for the unpopped kernels is wonderful! I also ordered the popcorn portion packs from Discount Tommys (several times now) as I didn't want to mess with measuring oil, popcorn etc. I was a little skeptical at how it would taste but I can honestly tell you popcorn became our biggest seller this fall at our concession stand. Customer Service is great! They shipped everything quickly & the packing was superb! I wold definitely recommend this popcorn machine for home use & concessions/church events etc!
Watch the sweep bar as it moves. If moved out of alignment with the bottom of the kettle when cleaning, readjust to leave about 1/15 to 1/8 clearance for best results.
The unit arrived actually a day ahead of their delivery estimate, after literally being shipped on the same day I ordered it here! I thought that was a good start!
I lost office productivity from everyone for about a hour while we fiddled with a simply assembly, then, yep, fired it up with our first batch of GAP "pre-packs" also purchased from DT. Yahoo. That yumo popcorn aroma was everywhere.
Thanks. Good job. I am an office hero!

I have owned this popcorn machine for a few months now and it has performed good. But if you are like me, you always get a little "smarter" after the purchase. For the price this machine is probably good as it gets, add a little more money and you have better made machines to choose from. It works for me right now but I would not expect it to last very long if it was used heavily in a commercial type setting. After I purchased it, I found a popcorn machine dealer here and looked at some other machines including a Paragon machine that was only a little bit more money than this one. The fit and finish and materials on the Paragon was much better and appeared built to handle heavy usage. This one is 860 watts which is good and only requires about 5 or 6 minutes to heat up. One issue I noticed is the 8oz kettle on this machine is not very deep. I saw another 8oz machine with a kettle nearly 1 inch deeper. I think the shallow kettle helps too many kernels to go flying about unpopped and end up in the old maid tray. I watched a commercial popper do its thing and there were hardly any unpopped kernels left. There are a bunch with this machine even with using the pre-portion packs. I even added weight to the flip up kettle doors and that has helped but once the popcorn gets popping good and the doors fly open, the uncooked kernels come a flyin. One other issue I see is how the power cord is attached to the kettle. This one is attached via a magnet and seems to easily pop loose when you turn the kettle up to shake the remainder out. I think there could be a better means of attaching the cord to the kettle. Again some of the other types I have seen have a heavy duty flexible cord permanently attached. My unit was made in China according to the box it came in and I think it is good for the Home Theater and occasional use. My next machine will probably be a different brand from this one. Again it has performed good in my home theater with occasional use, but I have doubts about taking it to a function and cooking popcorn for 200 people.Best Deals for Great Northern Popcorn 6010 Roosevelt Antique Popcorn Maker
I bought this popcorn popper about 3 months ago and we have enjoyed it very much. It is very well made and the price from Discount Tommy was great. We have ordered popcorn from Discount Tommy along with other items and we have always had great response. I would recommend this item for anyone who wants a great popcorn popper for a good price. It makes the best popcorn and everyone in our family loves it. It really made a great addition to our movie watching. It has all the features that you need and it also is very easy to clean and take care of.Honest reviews on Great Northern Popcorn 6010 Roosevelt Antique Popcorn Maker
Received the poppcorn machine and it had one flaw. Spoke with owner and all was taken care of immediately. Actually I was taken care of more than I had anticipated. Excellent customer service and quick response time. The popper machine itself was the best buy for the buck. I have recommended this unit to several friends and relatives. I used to work at a movie theatre where we popped are own popcorn and one thing I know from experience is to get the oil hot, then pour in the popcorn and salt mix while the bar in the kettle is moving. This will increase your popcorn rate and not have to worry about unit jamming or having burnt popcorn.Watch the sweep bar as it moves. If moved out of alignment with the bottom of the kettle when cleaning, readjust to leave about 1/15 to 1/8 clearance for best results.

First of all I've been shopping around for one of these machines for months. I've looked at the restaurant supply houses (TOO expensive), visited other websites (same too much plastic and too expensive), then stumbled onto "Discount Tommy" items here on Amazon. OK. I first had to get over making a purchase from a seller by the name of "Discount Tommy". Being cautious, I read reviews, both here on Amazon, and their eBay listings! NOT BAD! OK The Roosevelt 8 ounce machine with cart was just what I was looking for for my office staff and training sessions we host throughout the month of March. And the specs looked impressive. I even checked out the Great American Popcorn site the firm that actually manufacturers these machines. Solid data! The unit arrived actually a day ahead of their delivery estimate, after literally being shipped on the same day I ordered it here! I thought that was a good start!

Although it firs glance the item seemed cheap, it does exactly what it is designed to do. No more drafts. So simple and very effective.Best Deals for Unique Draft Guard
We had a space under the front door that allowed a cold draft to sneak in. This is just the ticket! It is easy to install and looks nice. At first I wasn't so sure, because the tube is made of cardboard and the fuzzy sleeve slides over it. No worries, it rolls along the carpet and stays put. Works perfect.Honest reviews on Unique Draft Guard
This is made cheap. The rolling part of this is like the inside of a wrapping paper roll. The brackets bend & the part that sticks to door does not stick. Amazon emaiiled me to ask what I thought. I told them. No response.Sunday, July 20, 2014
Cuisinart 4-Foot LP Adaptor Hose Reviews
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $29.99

I bought this adapter hose for my Cuisinart grill, which sits on my Cuisinart stand, which holds a standard propane tank. It seems like these items should go very well together. One might say, that they are made for one another.
And it's true, I was able to attach the hose to the grill fairly easily, tuck it neatly away with a special clip provided by the stand, and attached the tank without an issue. It all fit together.
However, the instructions are very careful, as it should be with propane grills, to direct the user to check for gas leaks using a solution of diluted dishsoap. Seems like a standard CYA move. But much to my dismay, my set up had leaks near the grill connection; and I and had to detach, re-attach, tighten, wiggle ... until the leaks disappeared. Now since this potential issue was pointed out in the manual along with instructions on how to address it you may be thinking that it seems rather unfair to ding Cuisinart for the problem.
I disagree.
To me it seems like components designed to work in unison should do so flawlessly, that's the expectation you have when you don't opt for the generic brand. Secondly, stopping leaks seems like a core functional requirement for a hose. I mean you could use a string to 'connect' the grill and the propane tank. Delivering the propane to the tank is the whole point of a hose. So if you have a leak, whatever gas is leaking out is not being delivered to the tank.... hence, fail.
It's true that all hoses can have leaks and it's a somewhat universal problem, but I base my low rating on the fact that I am using a matching grill, the set up had leaks on the very first connection, and it's price. I had higher expectations.
Message to you Cuisinart: How terrible and unacceptable that you would release such a product to the general public! A simple test at the factory could have easily shown this item to be defective. Shame on you! I have worked with propane tanks on and off for over 35 years. I know how to test with soapy water, and I know when it is an obviously defective item. WHAT ABOUT NEWBIES THAT HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO TEST THIS DEFECTIVE HOSE? YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO RELEASE SUCH AN ITEM TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR YOU ARE ENDANGERING THE LIVES OF PRECIOUS PEOPLE!
This item is NOT like a soccer ball, book, computer component, etc. You are selling a defective item that has the potential of taking human lives. Get your act together or take the item off your list for general public use.
You have no excuse whatsoever for such a terrible blunder. Where is the quality control that should be in place for such an item?
Last, I am not the only person that has experienced such non-sense. I read other reviews that are saying the same thing: the hose/connector LEAKS.
I'll NEVER buy a propane item from you again. You have violated and lost my trust. Period.

We purchased the Cuisinart CCG-200 Gas Grill. It requires the Cuisinart 4-Foot LP Adaptor Hose to work with a 20 gallon propane tank. So we eagerly purchased the Cuisinart 4-Foot LP Adaptor Hose fully anticipating a wonderful barbecue. What a huge mistake! This product quality is poor. Parts needed for installation were missing from the box.
The craftsman ship is poor, fit and finish is not professional at all.
I've purchase heaters like this before at Lowe's for $10 more and the fit and finish was first class.
To much money for what you get. Thats why only 3stars. If the heating elements were put in straight and the protection grill was fitted correctly I would raise the rating. However because I had to take it a part and put it back together correctly 3 is all.
On the positive note -Heater works as it should so far.

WAS NEEDED TO HAVE HEATERS WORK INDEPENDENT OF EACH OTHER. THIS WILL HOPEFULLY SAVE ON HEATING EXPENCE. WE WILL HAVE TO SEE.
As far as I can tell, these thermostats are useless. When I turn the thermostat up from the bottom settting, they click on at a temperature that doesn't usually match very closely with the actual temperature of the room. Then when I turn the thermostat back down to turn it off, it clicks off at like 5-8 degrees below where it clicked on.
Also, if you turn up the thermostat and turn it down multiple times, the temperatures at which the heater turns on and off seem to vary quite a bit from one time to another.
So I really have a hard time believing these thermostats can control temperature worth a damn.
I have seen baseboard heaters elsewhere that seemed to have the same deficiency. They get the heater running till you're hotter than hell, then they finally turn off and then stay off until you virtually freeze to death.
I think it probably is that the technology itself sucks. I believe these are what they call the "bimetallic" thermostat. Whoever invented this thing deserves to be hung, although he or she probably died centuries ago.
Fortunately, I think the new digital thermostats actually work, unlike these old-style medieval contraptions.
Disclaimer: These are all impressions just based on my limited personal experience with these sorts of heaters and thermostats. I am, for example, assuming that this thermostat is the same ridiculous technology as the ones that go with my wall heaters.
I am going to look around for a portable heater that has a digital thermostat to use in place of the jive turkey wall units that are built into my apartment.
I should emphasizeI have no reason to believe there is anything wrong with Cadet heaters or thermostats compared to other brands. As far as I can ascertain, the problem lies with the fundamental concept behind these thermostats, no matter who makes them. And I did notice that Cadet does sell digital thermostats that are supposed to have a 1 degree temperature control. That's the way a REAL thermostat ought to work.
I had a more primitive one that worked pretty well on my gas furnace in LA. I believe it used a mercury switch. Probably they don't allow those any more. Plus I would think that its mode of operation must be similar to these. However, the one on my gas heater worked pretty well. I think it was about 2-3 degrees F between where it turned on and off. That is reasonable.

As you can see from the online picture there is no way to tell if there is an off switch. And the description didn't say if there was one either. I have never bought a thermostat before, so I just figured it had an off switch, it had a HI and Lo setting instead. Which was not what I wanted. In fact who wouldn't want a means to shut off a heater..duh. Anyways when I pointed this out to the seller they disagreed about the clarity of the picture and would not give me a refund, amazon however did agree with me and gave me the refund instead. I'm still agitated by the sellers lack of cooperation, but amazon gave me some peace.Honest reviews on Cadet #08732 120/240v White Thermostat

Best Conair HLD20P Heated Lotion Dispenser Deals
I got this for my wife. She likes it, and it does a good job of warming lotion.
I thought unit was on the large size. It holds a LOT of lotion, which might be good if you lather down your body a couple of times a day. It is too big for those who use specialty lotion in relatively small amounts. In addition, the dispenser is also not as sturdy as it looks in the picture.
Am I pleased with the purchase? Yes. But with a little better design, this would have been a superb product.
This handy 16 oz. dispenser holds enough lotion for many a body smoothing, and takes only a jif to reach the perfect temperature. There is also an automatic turn-off for safety's sake.
If you're lucky enough to have a massage, warmed lotion only makes it more pleasurable. At times like this life is very, very good!
Also, before it was broken, it was necessary to fill the well nearly full in order to get any lotion out, which meant refilling it nearly every week.
I don't recommend it.

I got this product when the price dropped down to $12. So for that price I liked this product a lot. It heats the lotion well. Initially I thought it was small, but now I think it is the correct size. I did not realize how much better it is to apply heated lotion until this. This Electric Kettle is quite simple without any frills. For the price, it does what it claims to do. It boils water quickly , the water level is easy to see and has the auto-shut off feature. I have used it reliably to boil water for tea, oatmeal etc. The water is quite hot, so use caution when pouring it out. The lid , can sometimes be hard to close & open.
P.S -Terrific on snowy days when the kids come in and want hot coco...FAST! (Makes one feel like SuperMom for the rare second or two!!! )
Despite boiling and dumping out the water a half-dozen times, the water itself STILL tasted like "plastic." Ick. As a tea drinker, the quality of the water is key. Also, I found the general shape difficult to handle, the lid was hard to open, and when gently pouring the water it consistently (and dangerously) sloshed out the sides near the spout.
Anyway, I ended up giving this one away and buying an additional Bodum electric kettle for the office. It's working great, just like the 10-year-old Bodum I take traveling. (I think it's also interesting to note that the classic, no-frills, usable design of the Bodum has remain unchanged in the past 10 years Hey, if it ain't broke, don't 'fix' it.)
My concerns are two fold. First, the sides do get hot. The handle remains cool, but I would not trust small children to be near it. Second, for the automatic shuttoff to work, the lid MUST be snapped closed. It will continue to boil if the lid is not completely closed (the instructions do state this). This is why I only gave it 4 stars.
It took me 7 minutes to boil (to auto-shutoff) a full pot (4 cups). The minimum (1 and 1/2 cups) took 2 min 50 sec.
It is supposed to be a 1000 watt heating element. Measuring it with a "Kill A Watt" meter, I found it actually used only 850-880 watts.
Update January 2013: After more than 7 years, this kettle is still in use boiling a single cup of water at my work approx 4 times per week. That is over 1000 uses. A few times the detachable cord was not in all the way, and when I turned it on, the on light did not turn on. Simply pushing it in fixed It. The heating element does appear to have some wear, as its got a few pitting marks. This is to be expected. Other than that there have been no problems. I would still rate it 4 stars.
great deal, i recommend it.

I first became hooked on electric kettles when traveling in the U.K. and have kept putting off getting one. This is perfect for my six (O, heavens did I really say six!) cups of tea a day. Faster than the microwave (only because its actually boiled and hot) and no worrys about...did I leave the stove on as it has a brilliant auto shut-off. It even stays plenty warm enough to top off the first cup of tea. This is a nice little electric tea kettle. It requires that you heat at least 1 and 1/2 cups of water because of the submerged coil. I especially like the detachable cord.My concerns are two fold.
I would still rate it 4 stars.

if you've read a few complaints about how the water smells or tastes "plasticky", i found that it truly smell this way for about the first 10 boils of use, but no difference in taste that i can tell. after a while, the smell goes away. other than that, no problems. it boils a full liter or more in about 3-4 minutes with an automatic shut off which is handy. so far, seems like a great product. i've used this for about 6 months now with im sure over 200 cups of tea.great deal, i recommend it.

Discount 208/277V 40A DPST Indoor 24-Hour Mechanical Time Switch
Have tried two other mfrs and they had electronic timers and very short lives. So went to Woods to get a REAL water heater timer with an old fashioned mechanical timer. It does not have all the bells and whistles as the electronic timers but what I needed was a "reliable and rugged comercial" timer as I don't want to replace timer every 6-12 months and I believe that is what I got.
I also tried purchasing a used electronic timer controlled switch and it was totally destroyed but seller did not realize it , got a full refund but just forced me to buy the new timer.

HONEYWELL/ENVIRACAIRE HZ365 Ceramic Heater Review
Features such as timer, set temp, oscillating and the best function is the remote!! I can turn the heat on/off, up or down and all the other functions from my bed. Small and light it packs a punch on those cold Chicago nights. Looking to buy one for my sister for the holidays.

When we first got this heater we were concerned that it wasn't going to heat the large room we were using it in. We are using it in our basement, which is about 650 square feet. After it had been running for a few days, though, it really heated the room well. It continues to do so. It has a lot of nice features also.Best Deals for HONEYWELL/ENVIRACAIRE HZ365 Ceramic Heater
This heater performs exactly as advertised. It's well built and works perfectly. My house is cold since it came equipped with a heat pump that doesn't. This is a fine little heater and one of our dog's favorites. Since he sleeps for hours in front of it, I appreciate the low power setting the heater has and its ability to heat an area, and a dog, safely and comfortably.Tuesday, December 17, 2013

This heater is phenomenal and for only 43.00 bucks! I have a kitchen and 2 large rooms downstairs, this heater heats all three rooms nice and toasty. I come home from work, turn the heater on and the whole downstairs is warm within 15 minutes. I don't understand the people that gave this poor reviews. It's very pretty and it does a heck of a job heating up even large spaces. The odor that comes from it comes from all heaters including my baseboard heat when 1st turned on for the winter. The smell from this heater goes away after a few uses.
This heater has a timer feature, oscillate on/off, hi/low settings and temp. settings from 60 to 85 in 5 degree increments. No remote, but seriously do you want to pay an extra 10 bucks to have a remote for your heater?!! Seriously!!! Also I like this heater so much I'm getting 2 more for the basement and bedroom. Instead of having my baseboard heat all the way up to 74-76 in the winter I have it set to 68 and just have the Lasko on. That's all I need.
Also, forgot to mention this heater is whisper quiet. No louder than a purr!
This one heats the whole room, where the other one was very directional in it's heating. I like that it has a variety of thermostat settings, and you can keep it plugged in when it is not in use. I thought I would miss not having a remote control, but it turns out to be a non-issue.
I highly recommend the Lasko 6405.
Was expensive as it does not sell in Canada so had to pay shipping, etc. But so so stylish! Like no other. Matches my Tuscan décor perfectly! But was concerned I was paying for the style. Thank goodness it is AS EFFICIENT AS IT IS STYLISH.

I waited until after I had used this an entire winter before writing a review. I admit that my house is kept pretty cool because of the expense of the propane we use to heat it, which over the previous three years averaged just over $3100/yr. I used this heater in the living/dining/kitchen area (about 500 sq.ft.) during the day while I was up and about and left the thermostat for the entire house at 55 degrees 24/7. At the end of the year my heating bill was down $1600 and the electric was up $140. And this past winter was colder than usual! I've already talked my sister and my niece into buying one of these.Best Deals for Lasko 6405 Designer Oscillating Heater
I had a different Lasko space heater for a few months before this one. all the power settings and wattage are the same, but this one performs much better. I appreciate the smaller size and pleasant aesthetic design of the 6405.This one heats the whole room, where the other one was very directional in it's heating. I highly recommend the Lasko 6405.

The unit heats a very large master bedroom in less than 15 min. and its immediate surroundings in about 5 minutes (no kidding). I have another one, a Garrison tower, which I use in another room and it is nothing near the efficiency of this one and I had paid the same price. Was expensive as it does not sell in Canada so had to pay shipping, etc. But so so stylish! Like no other. Matches my Tuscan décor perfectly! But was concerned I was paying for the style. Thank goodness it is AS EFFICIENT AS IT IS STYLISH.

This little heater is mighty. We live in a 900 ft apartment and when this heater is on the furnace doesn't work near as hard. I do wish I had bought the same heater with remote control though. Looks good too.Saturday, December 14, 2013

Fitting this into my fireplace was easy and the remote very intuitive. The lighting and look inside a closed fireplace is close enough to real that is works well providing a nice ambiance. Heat supply is just ok.Looks nice, good flame effects, very quiet. It does take a long time to heat up a area if you let it get cold, but will maintain the temperature after you get it the temperature up. We built it into a cabinet in our 5th wheel and it was a nice upgrade. Beats the heck out of a noisy space heater!
