Had this for 2 years now. I use it at work on cold days, as I sit next to a large bay window. Puts out adequate heat at low and high heat output settings. This is NOT a room or space heater. It's meant to be used "up close and personal". Also has a separate 1-speed fan control (On and off). The base has a safety/anti-tip feature. If you lift it up or it topples over, the device turns off. The fan is relatively quiet, sort of like comfortable white noise. I haven't had issues with its use tripping any circuts. Overall, a good unit for the price.

I borrowed a friend's Dyson Hot heater. Being a designer, I loved the design of it--you can't get more elegant than that. But--what I didn't like was the sound of it--like a tiny Pratt and Whitney Turbo Jet engine--loud--and to me not a "white noise" kind of sound, but actual noise. Even once I got used to the sound of it (and you do), it didn't put out a ton of heat, so it could be on for hours and the room was still cold.

I then got a Lasko Digital Ceramic Tower Heater to try.

You have to assemble the base (snap it together, two screws), then four screws to attach the heater to the base. It took about five minutes--but you do need a philips screw driver.

You also need two AAA batteries, something that the box mentions in small type, but if you get home without it, you won't be able to use the remote control. I used to think a remote control on a room heater was a silly thing, but once you have it, it becomes as vital as one for a television, because it lets you adjust the temperature at a distance.

The first thing you notice about this heater is how QUIET it is. Really just a whisper. And the sound it makes is a low tone that doesn't interfere with listening to music or the TV. Even on "Hi" mode, it's still much quieter than the Dyson.

You can set it to run continuously on "Lo" or "Hi" or set the thermostat to the temperature you want, and it will turn on and off automatically to keep it there. Because it's so quiet, you can leave it on at night when you sleep.

And, if you want it to shut off during the night to save power, it has an 8 hour timer that will automatically shut it off after the amount of time you specify. The Dyson had no timer.

The oscillation is wide and silent. While the unit is tall, it has a reason--as the entire length emits hot air, which warms the room faster.

As much as I like Dyson design, this heater costs 1/4 the price of a Dyson, makes 1/4 the sound, and seems to heat the room about 2 times as well. Do the math--this heater is an excellent value.

I received it in time. Set up was not too hard, but you do need both hands and some ingenuity to get the base together and screwed in. You need a screw driver also, a plus shaped one. Plugged it in and turned it on, I got that fresh Lasko smell which I remembered from my first Lasko heater about 4 years ago. It brought back some memories. Anyway, the smell was virtually gone by the next morning. The remote comes with a screen, which shows the settings, so you don't have to look at the heater to know what the settings are. The remote screen shuts off after a few seconds, and then the first button you press will bring the screen back on, but won't change the settings, only subsequent button presses will change the settings. So just remember, if the remote screen is off, the first button press only turns the screen on. One issue is that the remote has to be pointed almost exactly at the heater, or it wont work, this sort of makes the screen pointless, because if you're lying down, you wont be able to see the screen when pointing the remote at the heater. And if you're going to look at the heater, you might as well read the settings on the heater's screen. The unit looks quite nice, you can put it next to a book shelf or something, it wont stick out too much. It is not very noisy, but when it turns on, you definitely hear it. There isn't any tilt sensor as far as I am aware, I tried holding it almost horizontal, and it kept on working. The base is quite stable though. The wire is nice and thick, it is made of a matte, soft material. not like other wires. I like it really warm, so I just set it to max heat and let it run to see how warm the room would get, it got to about 83 then was fluctuating between 83 and 84. my other temperature device confirmed this was indeed the room temperature. prior to turning it on, the room was about 63. The room is 240 square feet. Can't fault the heater for this though (first of all 84 is plenty comfy for me), because hot air rises, all the hot air goes straight to the ceiling. If you have a ceiling fan, set that to a very low speed, it will mix up the air and it will get warmer down where the people are. I also noticed a not-too-loud rumbling sound on low heat mode, this is probably the fan. at the high setting, it is gone. perhaps it is not aligned, or is a bit loose. There is a timer, which I didn't test. But I suppose it does what it says. All in all, it's a lovely heater. I wouldn't give my Lasko back if they paid me for it. I think of these things as pets, you'll never find a perfect one. They all have unique personalities, and I love them all the same.

This heater doesn't even compare to the warmth generated by my Bionaire 3950 which is completely silent and radiates heat from both sides and top. I'll put this Lasko in my office.

This item is not quiet as what the manufacture claimed it to be or other reviewers rate it to be. I guess depending on how sensitive you are to noise when you are trying to sleep, but the fan is quite noisy actually. The Low setting is more quiet, so I will use that setting instead of returning the item. However, from now on I will think twice before relying on a subjective adjective to decide if a product fits what you are looking for.

Good value heater. I use it for our bedroom in winter in auto mode and does a good job of keeping room at temp we want. quiet and pretty easy but have to be careful you use a full circuit connection or you could blow your circuit.

If you follow the instructions and use the included cheap plastic inserts and the provided screws, the insert will crack and the recommended 3/8 dia. drill size will not allow you to secure it tightly to a wall. Toss that package and get some 3/16" x 2" wing nut expansion anchors from Home Depot or Lowe's to go into your "already its too late I drilled the 3/8" holes." Secure the two support plates to the wall, adjust with a level and tighten. Then it works great and is not going to come loose. The glass front insert, is difficult to level in the side slots, but with some adjustment you can get it level. When filling the fuel tray remove the glass front, even though the instructions fail to mention this...any spills wll go up in flames before the fireplace fuel box intended fuel will. Fuel is expensive and if it were pegged to the price of a barrel of oil it would break the bank. All of that being said plus an additional $5.00 spent in metal wall anchors, the unit is beautiful and a perfect size for a small apartment, office or even a kitchen to add atmosphere with a bonus of a bit of heat also.

Love this fireplace, very easy to hang and lightweight. Does not get overly hot against the wall from what I've seen. Fire warms the room nicely. Definately recommend. The only issue I've had is it's hard to get the biofuel into the bins without and spilling it...and you DON'T want to spill it as it's an accelerant and will burn rapidly on anything it touches. So it would be nice if they would come up with some pour spout for the biofuel to make it easier! Otherwise, LOVE IT!

The mounting instructions and the poor quality of the mounting materials made me concerned that this item could set my home on fire. The mounting instructions call for drilling a 3/8 inch hole in which to place the wall anchors to mount this thing. This is far larger than is appropriate; I drilled a smaller hole and even that swallowed up the wall anchors. The anchors and mounting gear themselves are of poor quality and failed to grip the wall when screwed in. This made me concerned that the fireplace would fall out of the wall, spilling burning ethanol all over the room.

At this point I thought it best not to experiment further with it.

I have used the regular Duraflame logs for years in fireplaces (crackle logs, color logs,...). When I was younger, I used to burn 2 or three at a time to get a really big fire going, it was a pretty expensive habit. I just tried these by accident since this was the only type of logs in a box left at Giant. Now that I have kids, a mortgage, you get it, at roughly 6 dollars a log I do think about the cost. I like Duraflame because they burn clean, don't introduce termites and other bugs, and get the job done.

Here is what I really like about these logs. If you burn four of them, basically a bundle, the fire is huge as in "I hope my fireplace is up for this" huge. It will impress. The fire puts out a lot of heat. Much more then the standard 5 lb log but not as long. It burns stronger and faster. The bigger longs burn slower, but really sort of die down after an hour and a half. Theses are about done at that time, but you got a much bigger fire. The big news is that if you burn one at a time you still get a nice fire two and you get basically the same fire as the 5 lb logs just for a shorter time frame. So basically, you get more fires per set if you live with shorter flame life or the need to put more logs on. The added bonus of cooking marshmallows just makes it all that much better.

The fact they they are done faster means you can clean up faster too. This is especially true if you let the fire burn out and don't use water to kill the fire. If you want a longer fire just put another log on, there is just more control.

I will buy these over the standard logs in the future because they are simply more fun and manageable. I highly recommend them and Duraflame products in general. In twenty years, I have never had a problem with their products.

I was hesitant about ordering these as I had foolishly purchased another brand of fire log to use in our new outdoor fire pit and discovered that they could not be used to roast marshmallows over. I was remiss in not checking the other fire log packaging where it did mention not to use in a barbecue setting. Of course I discovered this only after we cooked marshmallows over it and it made them taste like they'd been dipped in chemicals blech.

Well, the only reason our fire pit exists is to make s'mores and roast marshmallows! I was happy to have found these and ally hoped they would fit the bill. We have had two fires using the logs so far and are quite satisfied.

The "logs" come in 5lb packs, each pack contains 4 12"L x 4"W (approximate) "sticks". Each stick lasted about 45 minutes or so for us. A perfect length of time for our two children to roast their marshmallows. The entire package says it lasts about 2 hours however we got quite a bit longer than that out of them. It is wonderful to be able to use only what we needed to and be able to save the rest. There was a slight odor of charcoal and almost no smoke. It definitely does not bother my sinuses or eyes nearly as much as a regular wood fire does. It put out a good amount of heat as well. One trick when lighting the "sticks" is to use only one or two at a time and add more as you need them and light both ends well and be patient. Also, you do not need any other fuel with these. If you add wood it will smoke and smell like a regular fire. Not bad but wholly unnecessary. It leaves no more ash behind than a regular wood fire however, we did make sure to soak it thoroughly with water before going inside. The other 3-hour fire logs we purchased stayed hot for many hours after we had soaked it and that made us nervous. We had read of people seeing them re light even days after they were supposedly put out. These individually packaged "sticks" are small enough that they don't hold the heat after a good soaking. If you want the ease of use and convenience of fire logs and you want to be able to eat the food you cook over it without poisoning yourself these are definitely the way to go!

These heat up very quickly which gets my chimney cooking and the result is very little to no smoke in the house when starting a fire (I use these to start a few real logs and they work consistently well though not recommended unless you know what you are doing, stick around incase anything pops out of the fireplace (or use a grate). My wife and I love em, will buy them again and again (when they are priced around 30-35 a box), over that its cheaper just to get them from the grocery store.

This heater is just awesome. We are total electric and this infrared heater makes the rooms so much warmer without taking the humidity out of the air. This is a great heater and very realistic. Here's why I gave it 4 stars: If you have high ceilings you have to be fairly close to it to feel the heat and its kind of short (might me a good thing so it won't tip over), cord is short. You cannot plug this in to anything but the wall and I wish the cord was longer. The pluses are this heater is cool to the touch, very pretty and moves around easily over burber carpet and floor. The flame is very realistic.

This is same item we bought at one of the large discount clubs. At he same time, we bought another larger (1500 watts) from Amazon. (Duraflame) I wish we'd seen this on Amazon. This is the better unit, by far. Better price, too. The fire is more realistic and larger, though cabinet size is similar. Now, no artificial fireplace is going to look like our real fireplace, but this brings heat and charm to cold areas. Though I have searched, I don't understand the infrared exactly. But I do know it works. It gently and quickly warms up the room. You don't roast if you are standing near it but you can feel the warmth. The thermostat is accurate. The remote is a nice touch. It is sturdy. No wheels have fallen off this unit as it did with Duraflame. Product info book is all English. Somebody mentioned it has to be plugged into wall, not extension cord. ??? Ours is plugged into surge protector power strip. No problems. We liked this better than the Duraflame. And when we bought, (Nov 2012) this one was $100 less.

Love this electric fireplace! I was skeptical at 1st, thinking no way will this heat up our huge family room, which is well over 700sqft, but it did and more. Seems to even leak into the kitchen, which is fine by us. Without this heater our room is beyond cold, almost freezing! With this, plug in and give about a good 30 minutes according to size of room and enjoy the heat! Also love the display, which IMO looks incredibly life like. Also we lose power a lot and has yet to blow an internal fuse, which is welcomed as the other one this one replaced, did it once and was worthless. Amazon took it back, no issues and we now reap the benefits of this powerhouse. If any downside.... It's a good size. Then again if claiming these #'s, needs to be. If looking into this particular heater and not sure, trust me, it's been a life saver for our family of 6!

We've owned this for a while now (only been used 2 times prior), and this was my first time using the machine. I've just spent 2 hours trying to clean an approximately 13'x13' area it is practically impossible to operate it without a manual.

There are two tanks one with a bladder that is part of a two piece assembly that needs to be taken apart, to be filled with water; and another for a detergent/shampoo solution. The dirty water that is the result of the cleaning is deposited in the same tank as the water bladder, just on the outside of the bladder. You are supposed to pull the trigger (non-tactile) on the handle to generate a spray (which you can't see) there is no way that one can tell how much detergent or water is deposited with each pull of the trigger, other than actually walking over the area one just cleaned to feel how wet the carpet is.

The sprayer apparently stopped working after I had to refill the water tank, or worked poorly, as the remaining 9sq.ft area was just slightly damp.

To top it all off, the unit is heavy, bulky and hard to maneuver.

This is a poorly designed, over-engineered, expensive machine that really should work better than it does.

I bought this originally from Costco...and after four shampoos, it stopped sucking up water. It did clean, but not perfect. Many of the stains that I tried to work on were still there after repeated cleaning and prepping beforehand. The attachments for sofa and carpeted stairs were a complete joke. They just left stains on my sofa, and didn't have enough suction power to clean anything on the stains. I found a good spray of Oxyclean and rags pulled up more dirt that this machine. Renting a rug doctor carpet cleaner still seams like a better way to go...bigger water tank and more powerful suction. I paid $200.00 plus tax and got four uses out of it. If the machine broke after let's say 24 uses, then maybe I wouldn't feel so ripped off. I know these machines aren't great to begin with, and not made to last (all parts are plastic), but throwing this into the landfills after barely any use is pretty terrible. Rug Doctor here I come!

Cheap Amico AP11000 11,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner

Works fantastic for my needs but before you purchase please read the following:

I use this unit in a 12x16 bedroom size for an office. I did install it in many areas of the house to see where it would function best in accordance with the specification. First, it is not for a living room where it opens up to the kitchen, hall, other rooms unless you only want cool air and only if the weather is in low 80 degrees or less. It won't cool like you want it to. It's just not made for that, and besides, the product description tells you 400 sq. ft. So my advice for you is to research before purchasing any portable air conditioner because every manufacturer will tell you the size of the room it will be coldest (I know, I own two other portable air conditioners, from other manufactures and they are dead on when they tell you the size of room their unit works best for cold air).

Second, you must follow the instructions that come with this unit (very simple) or else you are doomed and your unit will not work correctly. It does not tell you in the product description that you must leave at least 1.6 ft. (50cm) space all around the unit, but the instructions that come with it does. I wish I would have known this before I bought it because I almost didn't have the space required. If you don't follow this recommendation, it will run warm air; compressor cuts off every 10 minutes and fan blows warm--there are two vents on each side (right/left) and one in back that need that scope. I hooked it up for a day without the correct space and thought my unit was defective because it was always blowing out warm air, but after I shifted to the correct space needed it worked perfect.

All portable air conditions make noise and the 3 different ones I own make somewhat the similar sound. This one is a low humming which I find very soothing but for those of you, who can't bear the slightest sound, you will need to find an alternative solution other than a portable unit, because you won't find silence in a portable unit. The compressor is inside and doesn't hang outside like a window unit; so, you'll never be satisfied with any of this type of unit. I also read reviews from customers dissatisfied with the LED display lights for other similar air conditions. This unit does not have blaring LED lighting but there are display lights which are not that noticeable or bothersome.

The window adapter for the exhaust hose (circumference of hose is 19") is 52" long/tall so you can adjust it to whatever size you need for either horizontal or vertical use which seals the window nicely from outside elements and is very thin--3-1/2" wide. It comes with weather strips to insulate even further.

I purchased this unit because it is 1/3 smaller than other units; self evaporative system exhausts most of the condensate water minimizing the need to empty the internal bucket; it has a remote control; and it has a timer to set on or off. And to my pleasant surprise, it runs cold air to the point of freezing if you allow it to (but remember only in the allotted space recommended for). Another thing to keep in mind is that I ran this unit in 90 degree weather with very little humidity (west coast).

All in all, this unit meets my needs exceptionally well and the following are the desirable features:

1. very good air output; lots of volume and pressure

2. very cold output; even if you move it to a wide-open living room area; cool air is obtainable

3. easy to move around on the coasters that come on the unit

4. all the features that are mentioned on the product description are absolutely fabulous; and

5. this portable air conditioner is reasonably priced

This Amico Portable Air Condition has served us well since its purchase. Living in Southern California can bring the heat during summer, and this unit has worked admirably in our finished attic cooling the room to a comfortable temperature in a very short time.The only drawback is its energy consumption. The month it was used showed a considerable $80 jump in the electric bill. But at $4 per day (for the 20 days that our guests were in town), that made a usually unusable space livable during a hot summer month, I believe it was a great investment. As an added bonus, the predictable water condensation problem has been nonexistent.

The air conditioner cools off our master BR nicely. It is loud, but that's fine for me and my husband (since white noise isn't bothersome to us). The problem is that it stops running after a couple of hours indicating that water needs to be emptied. There's a cap to remove to drain the water, but no water has ever come out of that hole. It's very odd. My husband has to lift up the unit and I put a foot soaking pan under one of the corners and some water drains out---we just don't know from where exactly. It's strange (and a pain).

I purchased this portable air conditioner a month ago from another site. It is 100 degree's here and my closed off bedroom is 86 degrees. For 11000 btu I find this much to warm. Also you must dump the water every eight hours or so on most days, so you find yourself draining the unit in the middle of the night at times. Also the drain plug is so near the floor I had to build a stand two inches high for it to stand on so a pan could be placed beneath the spout to drain. I use a round cake pan and it is near the top when the unit is drained. Also I have noticed the kids bump into it a lot and knock it over and water soaks the carpet because it is on the stand. Also I have had to fashion a cover over the top of the exhaust out the window to keep the rain from coming into the exhaust hole... beware.

This is a replacement for my old Cuisinart coffee maker which I had for about six years or so (the predecessor to this model). I loved my old one even with some of the little quirks it had. It beat out any Braun or Krupp pot which I had ever owned. This new updated model is a winner. All of the small annoyances have been solved, such as the small fill tank opening, the dripping cover that leaked back into the fill tank, and finally, thank you Cuisinart people, a water level guide on the outside of the unit. The front knobs on the front are now also easier to see and use. As my other Cuisinart did, it brews superior coffee and quickly. I find it takes about one minute per cup... 12 minutes for twelve cups, not bad at all. Yes, the unit does make some clicking and popping noises when it is new, so did my old one. But that goes away in time as the unit gets "broken in". I do not think you can find a better coffee maker on the market.

Who in the world would have a coffee pot as a best friend? When you make and drink 5 to 7 pots of coffee a day you need a best friend. You need a friend who is there for you anytime you need one and that friend has to be consistent; i.e., one good pot after another. The DCC-2600 is my new best friend. In a short time it has performed better than its older cousin, the DCC-1200. The DCC-122 is still right up there with the DCC-2600; however, I wanted a 14 cupper and it is perfect.

The coffee tastes the same: great. It still takes about one minute per cup. That is perhaps a tad too much time but I don't care. I can always do something else while it is brewing. After all, a super cup of coffee is worth waiting a few minutes. I can always set the timer and have it ready when I awaken. The setting process is still simple enough for me to do. I really like being able to see the plain water display on the outside instead of having to strain and look over the top of the pot. That's a nice enhancement just as it the anti-drip change Cuisinart made.

I'm not an interior designer; however, I like the changes made to the outside appearances of this pot compared to the DCC-1200. I just looks better to me. The included gold filter is a nice touch and its inclusion should be a constant; however, I still prefer the cheap, paper filters. Paper filters are easier to clean up from than the gold filter. That is the only reason for my statement.

Best friends do not let you down and this pot pumps coffee without one retort. It works well and performs the job with vigor.

We take coffee very seriously in my house and when our old Cuisinart broke I wasn't sure I wanted another. But they fixed the design problems (hard to pour the water without spilling, no visible water gauge) and it makes great coffee. Highly recommend it.

The title says it all. I've had 3 Cuisinart coffee makers the last 3 years, 1 thermal and 2 of these. After about a year using twice a day I start to find water on my counter top. Consumer Reports and Amazon customers love these and I did too until the leaks started. I didn't write a review before because I figured the leaking was just a fluke and maybe it is but after 3 go rounds I doubt it. I didn't read all the other reviews to see if anyone else had experienced this. Please understand I'm a retired senior citizen and have no axe to grind but I wanted to point out my experience with an otherwise excellent product.

After I read the reviews, I ordered this one & Mr. Coffee's to try both. Both are very good warmers but with cons & pros...

This one comes with a larger surface than mr. coffee's which allows the use of bigger cups, however, the cord is much shorter than mr. coffee's & that's where it loses a star..

The switch coming on the cord could be a little awkward depending on where you place it, but it's ok with me. Both warmers are very good & would mostly keep your hot beverage warm for as long as it's on -depending on the amount of liquid in your cup. Of course, the warmer would not heat a cold drink for you so you should start with a hot/warm beverage so the warmer would only keep it from getting cold or even heat it up for ya when the liquid level is too low! ;)

Bottom line; I simply love it & it currently resides in my work office for my morning coffee/tea.. I ordered 3 more for my colleagues & they like it too =)

Our office is always chilly so our hot drinks seem to cool rather quickly. I purchased these for our desks & they are wonderful. They keep the drink just warm enough--even when you are near the bottom of the cup. Nor does the handle of the cup get hot. The on/off switch eases our supervisors mind, too. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. This product warned not to touch the sides or top because it may get hot but it did not say you needed to set it on a hot pad to protect your desk. I have a nice circle burned into the surface of my desk now and the unit quit keeping liquid warm after a few hours. I guess all the heat was going down to the desk instead of up to the cup.

It's a good thing I also bought a Mr Coffee cup warmer at the same time. It has continued to work beautifully with no further harm to the surface beneath.

We live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC and the winters can be quite harsh. Our 3200 sq ft home is heated by a natural gas furnace. After watching Bob Villa's infomercial we puchased the EdenPURE GEN4 HEATER and we couldn't be happier. This is our 3rd winter using the heater. We shut off a portion of the house by closing doors and only heat that area with the heater. This heater will keep our bedroom, hallway, den and kitchen at a very comfortable temperature and I am cold natured. Last winter we spent less than $300 on natural gas because we used the EdenPURE as a supplemental heat source. Our electricity bill only increased about $15-$20 per month. This is an excellent product and in 3 years of use we have never had any issues with the unit.

This is my first review I have written on Amazon. I just that it would be useful to warn consumers about this product.

I have now been the unfortunate owner of a gen 3 and Gen 4 Edenpure heaters. I have yet to have one of these heaters make it through an entire winter season. I bought my first Edenpure in October, 2010. I stared using the heater at the end of November beginning of December. The heater stopped heating at the end of January 2011. So after barely 2 months of daily use the heater stopped heating.

I live in Arkansas so the winters are mild at best. Rarely dose it ever dip below 20 degrees at night. Most of the time the temperature is between 30-40 degrees. Since I was just barely over the 3 month mark I could not return this item for a refund. Instead I had to settle for an exchange. I received my exchanged unit on February 21st, 2011. I used the until the end of April and boxed it up and stored it until the next winter season. So I start using the heater again in December 2011 and on January 18th, 2012 the unit stops heating completely. So an 11-month-old unit that has only seen 3-4 months of continual use craps out on me. That is just unacceptable.

These units are cheaply made plastic bricks and are not built to last. The heaters are big, boxy, noisy and hideous to look and for almost $400 you would think it would include a digital thermostat that reads room temperature but it does not. These heaters are also extremely slow to heat up an open door room around 300sq ft. Even though the advertising says 1000 sq ft. Buy one of these heaters if you want to go through the hassle of spending $30 every year for shipping to exchanging this heater out for a new one.

We bought our first EdenPure a couple of winters ago and I used it to heat the upstairs of our old farmhouse where my home office was. It sure was so much better and cheaper to run than the old small heaters that I used to run. It is quiet and even though I had the heater in the hallway, I could feel the heat surround me in my office 15 feet or more away. We loaned our heater to my in-laws to use in their livingroom while my father-in-law was in end stages of cancer and it has not come back as my mother-in-law uses it daily for extra warmth. We are planning on buying another to replace the original. Great product!!

I own two EdenPure Heating units and have had NO trouble with them that I wasn't warned about. I had one unit start to blow cold air and figured the bulbs must be burned out... then remembered to CLEAN the filter... Cleaned it and it went right back to working wonderfully. I have owned these units for over 4 years and for those who complain and give a one rating, they are obviously from the competition. I have found them to work well for what they are designed for... to heat a room. BUT I heat my entire house (1100 sqft) in ALASKA with two of these units. We dropped our electric bill from about 250 in the winter to 150.00. I heat my house year round for under 1000.00 a year... quite amazing! I am currently thinking very seriously about buying one to heat my business, which uses baseboard, that I can't keep on all night due to the cost. I do not see this unit as being cheaply made... my remote has never not worked... I don't think I have even had to change the battery in 4 years and I use the remote every time I turn it on. I like the long cord, I can easily move the machine about the room to bring more heat to a location I am at. I did a lot of research on this product before I bought it, but a very positive review from my cousin got me to buy one, and I have been very pleased with this purchase.

The five year warranty on the motor was incentive enough for me.

The number of increments of heat regulation make the comfort level easy to adjust for the large open area I want to heat.

We bought a second one for a Christmas gift for the Daughter because she had an inadequate "air/heat "source.
